Please refrain from a membership here. I’ve had so many experiences with Hand and Stones and this location really shouldn’t be considered. If the owner of this franchise reads this, please take notes. I signed up for the membership on my first visit at this location because of my history with Hand and Stones and I didn’t think one could be “too horrible”, I was wrong. I planned to get massage AND facial every month but the facials are really nothing special, you can feel the same glow up by just washing your face at home. Also the transition from facial to massage was so unprofessional! Nothing was given to me to change rooms so I just picked up all of my stuff and carry it myself to a new room. Other locations have bins you can carry your stuff with or have the next service provider place them in your next room. I then started doing just the massages and was pretty pleased with who I used the most. The only thing I’d say is, it felt very impersonal for how many times I went with the same person. I felt like she always greeted me like she didn’t know who I was even though I went the same day of every month at the same time lol. There was also a time when she was not able to make her shift and I wasn’t told until I was sitting in the lobby 10 mins after my start time. That’s another thing, the start times. Almost all started 1-4 minutes after start time which is a lot to consider as your clients are paying for a 50 minute massage because they grab you late and then give you 5 minutes to change so you’re really starting 10 mins after. Therefore your therapists should have a plan and procedure that allows them to flip their rooms and grab their clients in a timely manner. Pricing. When I joined it was $59.95. Prices change, we get it, but it’s crazy that you don’t notify your clients and just charge them the new price. Your massages are NOT worth $80 for that quality. One month I opted to get a wax instead of the massage and it was the worst wax of my life. She felt like a student practicing on me. I was still willing to try someone else but guess what , they only had one person who did waxing lol. This location is next to a gym that plays VERY LOUD MUSIC that comes through walls clearly into your massage room? The receptionists? Have no idea what they’re doing and need SO MUCH training on the system their using to check in/out clients. They would ALWAYS struggle to print a receipt if I asked for one, booked me as a non member AND charged me as one without noticing, couldn’t explain how points were collected and redeemed, etc. The craziest thing is cancellation of the member ship. It’s important to know that WHEN YOU CANCEL, you will be charged one final time. I canceled in December so my final billing could be in January, but I was told a manager needed to call me to “approve?” My cancellation. This manager only worked two days a week. I called this location EVERY WEEK on the day she was there and was always told she “stepped out” and would call me back. ONE MONTH LATER, I called again and demanded the cancellation to go through because something told me they were purposely allowing time to go by so they could charge me again. They tell you a manager will call you so they can try to retain the client from canceling but the manager doesn’t even try so don’t WASTE OUR TIME. I am so glad to finally part ways with this location. Message me if you need recommendations on where to get your massage

My husband scheduled me a Swedish massage and added two additional service for my birthday. I arrived to the building the minute my massage was scheduled so I figured I was maybe a little late. All paperwork was filled and payment was taken care of online before arriving. My massage was supposed to be one hour but after relaxing a bit after she was done and noticed that it had not yet been an hour since I had arrived. I also went to the bathroom before the massage started as well. It just wasn’t an hour and that was very disappointing. I got to the front to check out and the receptionist asked me if I’d like to tip. But I didn’t bring any cash/card knowing it was prepaid. But then she told me my total was still due. So I went to the car to get a form of payment. Once I returned she asked again for a tip. I called my husband after leaving to confirm the time length of the massage and to ask if he had pre paid. He informed that he did prepay for a 1 hour Swedish massage. I did examine the receipt and it did show his card paid for the services and mine for the tip. I’m just curious why she lied and was so pushy about the tip. And it was really frustrating that the massage wasn’t even an hour. I will never go back to Hand and Stone.

Do yourself a favor and book a facial with Adam today! The last several years I have been struggling with rosacea. I had severe acne in high school but after taking Accutane had clear skin for 10 years so I was really frustrated when all of the sudden my skin was not clear anymore. I had tried every product under the sun to try and clear my skin up at home. I finally went to see Adam and everything turned around! He suggested that what I was dealing with may be rosacea and to see a dermatologist. I now get monthly facials with Adam and have seen a complete turn around with my skin!! He has been such a blessing! HIs expertise and service are unmatched. He has even called me after my appointments to follow up an make sure my skin was doing ok and gave me ways to contact him outside of the spa if I had any question. He is a true blessing!! If you are at a point where you are frustrated with your skin and not seeing results, look no further!

I registered and paid online for a 1.5 hour Deep Tissue massage two days before my appointment. No one at any time confirmed that this is the massage i signed up for, including when I arrived for my appointment. I ended up paying almost $200 for a regular massage + biofreeze muscle treatment and scalp massage (they were all lovey but my doctor said I needed to get really deep tissue work done for my neck and back from old car crash injuries and i wouldn't be going out of my way to pay for a massage unless I really needed it) and it was disappointing to receive something different than what I paid for. When I brought it up to the receptionist, she said I should have called or come in to confirm that it was a deep tissue massage that I wanted because "the website is awful." how am I supposed to know that? super disappointed, might have to try Massage Envy down the street to get the treatment that I am desperately needing for my injuries.

I’ve been coming here for years and after tonight I’m seriously reconsidering my membership. The billing and points credit for membership is bogus. 1 credit equals one hour massage. Since I’m a member and my gf isn’t I wanted to use my credit for her. So they up-charged her 1 hour massage to 129 and the credit only covering 79 leaving us having to pay the difference. There’s no manager there to even dispute this as no one told us until after the massage. Then my gf had to purchase the membership again and on top of that she has to pay a set up fee. I was charged for decompression when I wasn’t notified that it will be an extra charge on the bill. WORST OF ALL WHEN I MENTIONED MY CONCERNS THE RECEPTIONIST WASNT EVEN CONCERNED THAT WE WERE UPSET AND WE DIDNT HAVE A CHOICE TO PAY. Do not sign up here because their billables change all the time and find every single thing and nickel and dime you.

Couples massage scheduled a week in advance. Calls to confirm attendance, three texts to confirm attendance (one 2 hours before). Live about 20 miles from downtown and it was about 40 minutes of driving to a 9am appointment in work traffic. Find out at 8:45 (we were about to park… “expected to be there 10 minutes or more early”) So and so didn’t show up to work so “your appointment will be canceled but we can give you 8pm if that’s ok” Scheduled 9am why in the F would I want 8pm? Why would I make the drive twice? “So there’s nothing else we can do, after I’ve driven all the way here? I just have to go home and get over it?” “Unfortunately yes I know that sounds bad to say” - doesn’t communicate with other properties to possibly try and accommodate our time, no offer for anything but a reschedule… how convenient. BUT if we canceled??? FEES APPLY. Lol. How unprofessional.

I’m a fan of this spot. Their 50 and 80 minute massages are completely worth it. I’ve had the same massage therapist, Samuel, for 2 years! Sam is AMAZING, has mad massage skills and remembers that I’ll always want more time and attention on my neck and shoulders. Sam also always remembers previous trouble spots. He passes all vibe checks and I’m always so grateful for his expert care. I also appreciate his knowledge (when asked) about preventing the regular aches and pains I experience. If you’re reading this chances are your body needs time to chill out, so do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a massage! Go see Samuel! You won’t regret it!!

Came in for an appointment at 4pm, and were asked to sit and wait to be checked-in, since the front desk was busy. Waited about 10 minutes and no one came for us, so we went back up after someone else walked in and they offered to check them in instead. Only then were we told that one of our massage therapists called in, and that we'd have to reschedule. Highly unprofessional to have been left sitting there waiting to be told something that should have been communicated hours ago, if not at least before we got there. To add to that, the insincere apology we received came with a shrug. I recommend visiting a different location.

  • b banuelos

Really disappointing experience and we didn’t even have the chance to go in for our couples massage. Therapist cancelled morning massage on us last minute, understandable things happen. We rescheduled and there’s a miscommunication on time time between am and pm, so we cancel when we showed up in the morning and eat the cost of childcare. Reschedule again for today and again morning of therapist cancels again. Explained the situation to person who answered call and they just offered to reschedule. No effort to save our business other than reschedule for the 4th time. Bad customer experience.

  • shelby huff

Wasn’t accommodating to anything that went wrong. Couples massage over booked we walked in at 3:05 I didn’t get Checked in until 5-8 minutes later because there front desk check out was congested. My massage therapist did not have enough time to do a full massage nor was enhancement ready prior to service. Lead Manager did not try to fix the issue, she seemed more pressed on checkin time on an iPad when my husband and I wasn’t able to check in until the the front desk finished checking customers out. Therapist did what she could, there front staff isn’t not top tier in customer service.

This was my first time to this particular location. I am a member and typically go to Camp Bowie but wanted to try this location. The receptionist was quite short with me over the phone when scheduling and then flat out rude when I was there on 5/16. Additionally, after my massage with Victoria (which I thoroughly enjoyed, she was wonderful) I had to ask the receptionist to schedule my next appointment and she was clearly annoyed. I literally felt like I was bothering her. This location is very blessed to have Victoria, I would not be going back if she hadn't been so wonderful.

I've been coming to this location for a little over a year now and have been very happy with their service. The membership is a good deal for the quality of service and I always look forward to my monthly appointments. I highly recommend Queen for massages - I tend to have a a lot of neck/shoulder and hip tension and she always works wonders. I also recommend Lauren for facials - my skin always feels relaxed, clear and smooth after an appointment with her. 10/10 would recommend this place and these people!

  • Karen Keenan

I strongly recommend this place. I was driving by one day and decided to stop by and I have been hooked ever since! My fiance and I always get Selena and Queen for our couples massage. They are incredible and put us to sleep every time. We recently got facials with Tahirah which were better than any I had ever had. She is very knowledgeable and gave us recommendations on how to better care for our skin. My fiance swears her facial "fixed" his skin. We will definitely be adding her to our spa day routine!

  • Kristie Falbo

This place is a gimmick. Scheduled a massage less than 24 hours before time but got stuck in court. Called to reschedule and was basically told that I’d be charged 50% unless they get another booking. (Schedule was wide open less than 24 hours before so won’t happen). Told them I wanted to cancel and was told I will have to go in to their location to cancel membership. They’re unable to send me the form; nor can I access it online. Save your money and go somewhere else.

  • Jeanne Hinerman

Went in for a couples massage. My husband had Queen he said she was good. I had Trevor and unless you like a very very light rub I wouldn’t recommend. I asked for medium pressure and twice asked for the pressure to be increased but you could tell it just wasn’t going to happen .. it was more stressful than relaxing. Definitely it worth the $200 we paid ... disappointing for sure. My first experience there but neither of us said we’d go back.

  • Jennifer Vega

No good communication, I asked for 80 mnts massage by phone and she also give me the price for that service and only got 50 mnts because for I don’t know what reason she understood 50 mnts, even tho she gave me the price for 80 mnts. Also I asked the massage therapist 3 times for more pressure and never felt the pressure at all. Was looking for some relief and relaxation time and didn’t work.

  • Trezur Skaggs

I was told by the Manager I would be refunded and the owners did not approve the refund for their numerous mistakes…DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS HAND & STONE WEST 7TH LOCATION! WHOEVER IS RUNNING THIS PLACE ARE A BUNCH OF SCAM & CON-ARTISTS. I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my worse enemy. My local clients will be warned by their pure pressuring Staff & poor services!!!

  • Greg Hughes

I enjoy being greeted by the friendly staff at the front desk. Always upbeat and welcoming. I do all my bookings on-line so I can't speak to doing it by phone. The only therapist I've seen here is Queen. She is both skilled and highly trained. She picks up on just what is needed and works the areas appropriately. I've never had less than a perfect session with her.

  • Mckenzie Lucky

Terrible!!!!!!! Went in for a couple massage, asked for a deep tissue full body with decompression, and Only got a hour of light massage Therapist only rubbed to middle of my back. She never touched my shoulders or neck. Paid 200 dollars for nothing. I get massages regularly and this was the worst experience I have ever had. Will not be back.

  • Ms. Vee

This is the worst location possible. It's poorly managed from the receptionist to management. Both parties tell you something different each time you call. This location stole money from me and lied about it. Whatever you do don't give them any of your credit card information pay in cash ONLY. I think they're hard up for money...THIEVES!!!

  • MarciLynn

My husband and I treated ourselves to a couples massage for our wedding anniversary. Victoria an Ayanna were our therapists and they were wonderful. The atmosphere was clean and staff incredibly professional. They offered options but didn’t pressure us which I appreciated. Wonderful experience - thank you for a relaxing time!

  • Jorden

Worst Pre-Natal massage ever !! Money was so wasted. I’ve been to them before at another location and loved it but here it was awful! The therapist told me she wasn’t allowed to apply pressure? Which is not true i’ve gotten many before. I paid a hundred dollars to get lathered in oil and not even get it rubbed in. Gross !!

  • Amy Hill

They called and asked to reschedule my appointment on a Monday. That’s fine, cool. I rescheduled for Friday of the same week and then just two hours before my appointment on Friday they called to cancel again asking if I wanted to reschedule AGAIN. I don’t recommend this place if you actually want to have an appointment.

  • Olivia Vaughn

Great atmosphere, Best front desk staff, ask for me, I've taken courses in spa techniques and medical massage(tmj, arthritis, shoulder dysfunction, carpal tunnel, tennis/golfers elbow and siatic nerve pain) I incorporate stretching when useful. I reccomend salt stone and a hand/foot scrub to feel light and refreshed.

  • Levi De Leon

I have to gone to the Hand and Stone Cultural District location for quite some time. Always a great experience. Queen is my preferred therapist. She takes the time to understand your needs. Her expertise in her field allows her to understand your body and provide some tips to use between appointments!

  • TJ B

This place is awful and never followed health code during covid. I have been trying to cancel my membership for over 6 months and the manager is required for this supposedly and has been unavailable the whole time. Never go here and start a membership. Worst customer service I've ever experienced.

  • J Acevedo

Roger is hands down the best I’ve ever had, right amount of pressure, excellent technique, you can tell he zen’s out along with you truly enjoying the relief he’s providing your body. Highly recommend to everyone! I am a male and was looking for a male LMT for firm pressure and his was perfect!

  • Patrick Salter

Had the best massage I’ve ever had here by Samuel! He listened to every request and explained why I was feeling pain in certain areas. He specializes in deep tissue and applied plenty of pressure. I can’t wait to go back for follow up treatment. All staff was great and awesome communication!

  • Paul Dolezal

This place is a scam!!! First off they changed the price to almost double when my wife used a gift card. Second off they double charged our credit card. I called at 4pm to get told the manager has left for the day and “No one is in Charge rite now. Call back tomorrow.” Stay away!!!!

  • Clifford Gausnell

2021 Had Membership with them, paid for 3 massages, they told me that my already paid for massages never expired. They lied there’s only a 90 day grace period once you cancel! Never using them again…. Don’t sign up for memberships!!!! Get your massage somewhere else…. Rant over

  • Joe Rizo

Been a member for a few years now. Really enjoy the Fort Worth cultural district location. Olivia is my go to therapist. She pays close attention to my needs and applies the necessary pressure to get those sore areas worked out. Would highly recommend.

  • Raul Fernandez

The treatment by the staff was excellent. It was my first time at this site for one hour massage. The massage was not very good in my opinion, the worst thing is that it was only 45'. While I was paying I commented to the receptionist, who

It was alright, the facial was weird. Basically she did a nightly skin routine with a shoulder massage? Very different from facials I've gotten before. Also neither my massage or facial lasted the entire 60 minutes...
