I bought the 72" Tool Chest #61656, $1199, and wanted to buy the 56" Tool Chest #67861, $799 to side by side with it. The store I bought the 72" from did not have the 56" in stock, but they told me that store #254 had 3 in stock. I took the 72" home, unloaded it, and then headed over there to buy the 56" When I got there they informed me they had sold 2 today and the third showing was the display model which could not be sold. They told me to head to store #378 which showed 4 units in stock. About half way across town again to this store I called to make sure it was actually in stock (It was) and to be ready for me as I'd be getting there about 15 minutes till closing time. I was informed in a very matter of fact manner that I could come buy it, but I'd have to come back tomorrow to take it as they were *NOT* loading it tonight. That's right, open for business, potential to make a $799 sale, but they refuse to load it. I tried to inform the woman on the phone that I was already nearly there and I was in a truck I was paying for but she -did-not-care- and wasn't having it. As if that weren't bad enough I had to deal with the fact I'd set out in a rollback wrecker to retrieve both boxes, these weight 529/656lbs respectively and I'm out a couple hundred dollars for his dry run(s) due to inventory inaccuracies and employees unwilling to work during business hours.

I was there to purchase a wagon attachment for a small tractor. I called to check on availability and the lady that answered the phone was very friendly. I got there, paid for the item and they brought it out. They offered to load it for me, which was very nice of them. I didn't expect the offer. The store itself is not one of the biggest locations, but they continue to have a large selection, for any project you may have. The only downside about this location is that it's in a rough part of town, and you can tell. My biggest criticism is the way they have the registers setup. Let's face it, we know Harbor Freight is not exactly high end hardware, but we love the prices. However, I do believe management should have a little more pride in their store. The boxes setup at the register are TERRIBLE. I'll post a picture to show, but I witnessed another customer slight put his hands on the boxes and they almost fell over. Being inside a hardware store, I guess I expected a little more ingenuity than that. Either way, it's not a big deal, since you're still getting great prices and an awesome service. I just think they need to get rid of those boxes.

The store is good and clean. The people are friendly. It's well stocked. Their prices are very low. Just do not forget you get what you pay for. With their electric tools for example I bought a Cordless drill the came with a light. The drill was practically useless. On the other hand I bought a really cheap Electric Impact wrench And it works great. My air compressor still Runs fine. In fact I would go as far to say the good outweighs the bad. They guarantee their hand tools for life. If you're just a DIY guy and not commercial I would say buy the cheap tools especially the ones that you may never need again. They will stand behind their warranty. You know think I'm gonna have to go 5 stars because they have never given me a problem only the cheap tools, I probably overworked are the only things I have broke. I was very disappointed with the drill like I said you get what you pay for.

Harbor freight tools has a large variety of items that you can use at home or on a small job. The tools here do not cost a lot and they're fairly decent. the quality of the tools here limit its lifespan therefore would last you a few jobs.I believe that there is a tool you know you're going to use repetitively then do spend the money and the quality of the tools so it will last you as long as you need it for. As for the tools that you buy at harbor freight, as long as they last you a few jobs the money spent on those tools is well worth it. I personally take care of my tools and everything that I buy from harbor freight has lasted me for over 2 years. The worst experience I have had is with their air compressors. So when they offer you to a protection plan it is worth buying that too for the bigger tools anyhow.

Run of the mill place, no shopping carts to be used, making purchases of heavy items (tools and equipment) a pain in the neck to purchase, especially when picking up a few smaller items too. Not fond of this place or the shopping experience here. Thats not to say I won't be back, just not delighted to have to carry around 40 lb.s of stuff without a shopping cart. I had to make my purchase in two trips to the truck as I couldn't carry everyhing, and that meant standing in line twice. They need some new management, someone familiar with shopping carts and , how they can improve the shopping experience. The more comfortable the shopper the longer they shop and buy more stuff. When lugging around a pump and other stuff I put some back to lesson the burden.

What a joke. Never had a bad experience at HF until now. Called this store to ask about a specific engine stand, which is rated to 2k lbs or 1 ton. I gave them the sku number and they said they have it. I drove an hour just to be told they didn't have it. They thought I said I wanted a mobile crane, then turned into a engine hoist, then I stated "no im talking about this one right here" pointed to it* Oh yeah we don't have the 2 ton. I said that's a 1 ton not 2. Explain the difference and they said oh yeah we're so disorganized "sorry about that" didn't think today I'd have to go educate the employees on their own products and drive a total of 2 hours for absolutely nothing. Thank you for wasting my time.

Went there to buy a work bench and got the stock card to give the checkout lady. She said let me check to see if we have any - but I had already checked with personnel in the back. The cashier said let me find out what the item number is. I said its not on the card? She apologized and said she would be with me shortly while waiting for store personnel to find the item number. Mean while she goes on to the next customer in line. After waiting a few minutes I just told her to cancel it. It should not be that complicated to buy an item that I get emails on from HF all the time. Unbelievable! But true!

Not a perfect score because the quality of the products are not very good but the selection is amazing and for the price you can't beat it. This is a good store to come buy those tools you use twice a year and in the meantime you let someone borrow and they fail to return. You of course don't notice until you are on the next job missing your tools. If you are looking for every day heavy use tools go ahead and spend the money and get you something decent unless you like replacing tools all the time. Good part is I have realized cheap tools tend not to walk like your expensive ones. J/S

I don't know if they are avoiding customers or don't know when there's a long line of people waiting to pay, their becoming to be AutoZone at Uvalde & Woodforest (avoid when they're 6 customers waiting to play). I think you'll find crickets before a sales assistant, but when found they are helpful. The store is clean and organized and most of the time have stock of what you need, I don't suggest going there after a sales all the sockets looks like they have been pillaged. Overall it's a pretty good store but their sales assistant and the numbers if cashier are a hit or miss.

So i get a email. how was Harbor Freight tools? Haa haa haa Ask a 6 year old kid. How was the candy store? Did you find something you like . Yea. I just don't know what new tools i want to buy this time around. Have you seen the Quinn or the Doyle hand tools. Well i say i am mechanic. Have been for 25 years. And these are some tool i have add to my tool collection. And very happy with the quality and the price. These tools are up there with the Big name brand tools. With out the price. Get your self one of these hand tool. And you will see the what i am talking about.

The store itself was nice and quite. The employees greet you as you enter the building. I would have put 5 stars but at the time I visited the tool I was after couldn't be located anywhere. The ticket holder was full of ticket which tells me they have more than enough stock on hand otherwise why keep it stocked. The item in question was the earthquake xt 1/2" impact an item I would think they would have an abundance in, but otherwise I've purchased a great deal from HF and this was just an annoying day having to drive 20 mins and end up empty handed.

This place needs to be restock. Most of the shelves are empty I was only able to find 1 out of 5 items I needed from here. Its seems like they havent restocked in months. There are 2 lines open out of the 4 lines for checkout and the lines are long. It took me 15 mins to pay and I was only the 3rd person in line. Cashier is rude and takes long to process payment. I've been to Harbor Freight in Pasadena, Tx. on Spencer and love that place. If you dont want to deal with this I would recommend the drive to the next Harbor Freight.

Hubby and I can get lost in here : ) We have shopped Harbor Freight Tools for years and have always been done right! We bought a portable air compressor and it wasn't working right. Took it back a couple weeks later with no problems whatsoever. They exchanged it immediately. We've used this one a little over a year now and it's working like a charm. Hubby bought a wood lathe and had no problems with it either. Air tools, hoses, tarps, tape...they got it all!

They had what I needed at price I wanted to pay. Mr. Freight sends me coupons with is away good. And the free new and improved little work light will come in handy. Only issue needed a 15mm impact socket so I picked a set of eight from the rack and at check I notice the did not include a 15mm, 14mm yes, 16mm yes, 15mm no. How stupid 15mm is a widely used size. If I would have discovered this back on the job there would have been some choice words in the air.

Hard to beat their prices and they have upgraded some of their tools like wrenches and sockets giving you more options... So you might break a wrench or 2??? With the money you save buy extra... Great place, I love it, always spend way more than I planned on because I find such great deals, all locations I have found the staff to be very helpful and courteous!!! This locale is no different!!!

Harbor Freight always has so many variety of tools. They meet good quality standards. For the worker like myself who just needs it occasionly. I appreciate them having good products for the weekend Warrior like myself. Sometimes though they are short staffed and there are not people on the floor to be able to assist you. I hope that something that they may improve in the future.

Like everywhere else there's price increases but Harbor Freight is still affordable for DIY's and professionals on a budget. Helpful staff, store is clean and organized and checkouts fairly quick. If you search the Internet ahead of time you might get lucky and find that great "20% off any one item" coupon code but they always have regular specials with some items like 50% off!

Harbor freight is the one place I can trust to get me out of a jam!!! With low prices on the whole tool inventory and always find what I need to complete the job. Working as Diesel Technician and owning our own shop sometimes looking for specialized tools is very hard and very expensive but luckily that's why Harbor Freight Tools exists. Whoever thought of it is a genius!!!!

Good prices! For the low price tag the quality is good. They seem to be getting in some really nice high quality tools lately that are a lttle more expensive but still cheaper than other places. I always thought they had a good selection but it really impressed me when they started selling Parking lots. Looks like a limited sale time though..

Seems like they never have anything in stock here. Prices used to be good, but now their prices are pretty much the same as any other tool place that sells name brand tools. Used to be my favorite tool place but not anymore. I rather go to other places and get a name brand tool for the same price. Plus they got rid of a lot of coupons.

I wanted to sign up for a credit card and was told I could not because something was wrong. I said well I should still get the 10 percent off of I can't get a card. She was inexperienced I guess. I've worked in customer service and I would have gotten my boss to give the customer that little bit of extra off just to keep their business

They have a good selection of tools and hardware for the DIYers. The store was well staffed and the associates were pleasant. I like their parking lot tent sales and their return policy. You can always find 20% off coupons in the newspaper. They will also send you a monthly sale catalog if you adk to be placed on the mailing list.

Bought a lot of batteries for flashlights and radios and lanterns. Harbor Freight has a good deal on generators. I love the coupons and the staff is always ready to help customers. The other customers in line were impatient when the customer at the register ask questions. There is a website...use that and get over it!

Despite some female cashiers that are extremely rude, have no knowledge of what a tool is and lack extremely in customer service etiquette, this place still has many other employees that are very helpful. Most of the time you will find what your looking for but with the great deals they have better show up early!

I like the store very well stocked. Very nice mangers and enplployers.I have never had any problems returning anything if I had to. I am disabled and it is very hard for me to get around just wish that all harbor freight had electric scooter to get around. Because when I am in that store I am in it for a while.

This Harbor Freight seems smaller than my old one on highway 290. Didn't have a lot of time to shop but with a ten percent discount I couldn't pass up this opportunity. Got my ten percent but forgot to ask for my free gift (tarp). Left the store and was almost home when I realized. Could have used that tarp.

I'm not an expert when it comes to tools, but when I come in with my husband customer service is always great. They always have employees walking around asking if you need help or have some what of knowledge of the products that they sell in store. Cheap place for good quality of tools.

Typically they have what I would have considered relatively cheap tools. Not so much anymore. If they have the item in stock that you are looking for. This particular day it seemed as if the staff had better things to do other than accommodate a customer. Otherwise the store was clean.

Bought a welder about a year ago used it for an hour before it broke. Store Manager refused to exchange it I would just order everything from Amazon to be honest at least a warranty their stuff furthermore I'm canceling my inside track membership and never going to harbor freight again

Its a good store. I just don't like what their corporate office has done to the stores. No freebies no extra discounts no benifits to joining their club anymore. Its nothing compared to what it was. I'm very disappointed in the corporate office not the stores. They dont have a choice.

This store is a great place to buy cheaper quality tools at a reasonable price. you won't be disappointed in the sales that they have as well as the coupons. the cashier usually always puts in the coupons for you to save you some money. Would highly recommend to anybody in the area

Harbor Freight is my go to place for affordable tools and cool stuff. This location always has a great selection in stock and the staff is friendly. The area is sketchy so you may want to avoid going after dark if possible. I've been shopping here for years and highly recommend.

The Baytown facility, while new, is definitely not the same as the one in Houston. Limited selection on a lot of things and the service leaves something to be desired. If you are going to open a new location, it should be something that customers will want to come to.

Harbor Freight please make a returns only register in your store. Every single time I go, there is someone with a return in front of me and it is an excruciating 15-20 minute ordeal to have to wait behind them. Otherwise you have what I go to get.

Bad place to park a vehicle, I left my truck and my catalytic was robbed, just letting y’all know, be careful when ever you go to this place and you park your truck outside. There’s no cameras and the workers did not want to help.

This store does not have carts. If you have a large item you just have to get it yourself and carry it. There are never sales people to assist you. I only go here if is my only choice for something I need.

Well stocked hardware store. At peak hours it can get crowded. Assistance to locate item is almost non existent so you are pretty much on your own. Otherwise great prices and I would recommend.

Staff was great and helpful, workers were constantly restocking shelves. Only one shopping cart was available which was a bummer but it prevented me from spending way too much money in there.

They had the tools I needed cheaper than equivalent tools from Lowe's and Home Depot. They tend to have coupons that you can get free stuff with, just check their ads.

Harbor Freight has almost everything you need and half of the price of all the other stores employees are helpful when looking for tools I like this Harbor Freight.

Upon arrival this location has nicely organized aisles and clean shiny floors. The young lady at the register was friendly. Will continue to visit this location.
