I would highly recommend this school if you would like your child to compromise to threat and punishment, and get manipulated by others in their life. Possibly, your child will learn their teachers way to get along with others in their life. We used to think this is the best school in the area. My child used to love school, learning and making friends. However, as soon as our child in Year 7 and met the home room teacher, the teacher uses threat and punishment to manipulate my child. We regretted so much for be in this school. We had meeting with the teachers and their excuse are they don't have time to deal with over 20 students in the class. We had meeting with secondary Principal and had a look at my child's scores and he is doing very well. The principal agreed the only problems are very little even not a problem such as play with his pen when he is listening. The teacher asks my child to apologise in the class and repeat what the teacher says to apologise, even my child doesn’t think he has done anything wrong. My child is embarrassed and humiliated in the class. My child is mentally damaged from this teacher even after we had a few meetings with the principal. And now, there are more teachers involved in and use the same way to manipulate my child. I was a student and I am still learning in the rest of my life, my understanding of education is to persuade not brain washing. I give the teacher authority to help my child, not control or exterminate my child’s potential. Teachers need to focus on make learning fun, not to focus on how they sit or attention. Nowadays, we have all the knowledges just on our finger tips with the technology. We are expecting teachers to update their knowledges not only about the books. They should know how to communicate with others "by putting them selves in their position" from the booked "The skilful Teacher"

We "extracted" our kids from this business 5 yrs ago and never looked back, (prep to yr8 and 6 it lasted) it's not a Christian college at all it's a business that concentrates on $s, the awards nights are 95% girls the rest go to kids that just missed out on Suzan Corey and decided to stay in Australia anyway.!!!!! Or " family" from the church next door. The college we sent them too is in Geelong, the eldest left after receiving his yr 12 VCE along with a second yr electrical trade the second is VCE yr 12 as well as engineering at The Gordon, additional one on one tuition for physics and maths methods or any subject during school times, if needed as he misses some classes while at TAFE ( at no extra cost), they cater for boys academically as well as practically, and spirituality, care more about the individual and haven't mentioned school ratings ever, it's a real Christian school with real Christians running it. Bus service to and from school runs to Werribee, express...... best fleet of buses I've ever seen. There yr 9 outback programme and expeditions are mind changing, positively for both girls and boys. Subject choices for BOTH sexes means I now have a remarkable family dinning table valued at over $12,000 ( offers to buy at Geelong's Timber shows and at the exhibition centre Melb) and not a tea cozy from textiles or a cake from home economics, all honourable career choices if you like fashion and cooking. Heathdale is a school for girls, Boys are better elsewhere .......any where else, had to leave one star there isn't a lower option.

I'll admit, Heathdale used to be a very good school with top quality education and lots of opportunities in all areas especially in sport. The past 3 years to now the school has gone down hill in terms of the standard comparing to other private schools. There are no more opportunities in sport. Heathdale used to have the amazing schooling life every parent and child would dream of, but now the school is dead in enjoyment. In my middle schooling career I used to love going to school, the system was fun and there was lots to be apart of. Now that I have moved schools I have realized that the senior school life in Heathdale is overrated. Heathdale is a cult and every student there knows this well and can agree that every day of their schooling there they feel so trapped and enclosed from the outside. Bring back old Heathdale, bring back all the sporting comps we used to compete in, bring back good and strong teachers who would help students to enjoy schooling like I used to feel back in Middle school. There is no opportunity here apart from brainwashing teachers who think they know it all. Apparently students aren't allowed to have their own opinion at all? No freedom of speech. I pray for the better of the school but right now the board need to do a big fix up.

Quite litterally the most small minded, old fashioned and phobic school I have ever gone to. They focus solely on money and only accept teachers that go to certain churches and students who can offer up money and have been baptised. As a former student, I was shunned for having an opinion different from my teachers. I was bullied for questioning the religion that they taught me. And I was isolated because I found problems in the book they gave to me. Naturally the education is better than a standard public school. But if you choose to go here, make sure that your beliefs are strong enough to handle their judgement and belittling attitudes toward you or don’t speak up whatsoever. This school offers good opportunities but brace yourself for the wall of forcible religion that is shoved in your face.

send my kids there and love the Christian values that they teach in school. I feel like they have quality learning and lots of friends which included both Christians and non Christians giving them the realistic expectations of where we live in. Other than the fees that are a little steep, my kids love going the school and would recommend the school.

I attended HCC from Prep to Year 12 and now my daughter is enrolled in Year 1. There still seems to be a high standard of education and good facilities. I honestly don't think it's perfect and there is always room for improvement, but I'm glad to have seen it improving in the right direction over the past couple of years.

My daughter was bullied really badly here, us being people of colour, teachers instantly sided with the other family, and we were called gangsters. 10/10 would not recommend this school, they care more about socks than your education, racism.

  • Abi

When the teachers tell kids to not disclose school activities to parents, that's a big sign of bullying to me. Now add the comparisons of financial status, go ahead and make your own assessments now. Education is much more than books.

It is a very nice school with good quality education. P.S. You should really go. This school has a very good Christ centered Education and will help you for the future! (P.S. They will bully you for any known issue)

  • Kalyani Uppuluri

One of the best schools around western suburbs. Great teachers. If you have issues, teachers are always keen to listen and sort it out. Very happy with the quality of education. Glad I chose HCC for my children.

  • Sanitater

Good school for Christian parents who want their children taught Christian values and morals. Unlike these other schools that have become backward and are brainwashing our children with liberal propaganda

  • mary t

Best school my kids been to. Excellent in education. Christ centred. An amazing place for our children to grow, build their confidence and nurture their relationships with Jesus.

A terrific school with caring staff. Especially in the past couple years they have new staff in leadership positions and its brought very positive changes to the school!
