After feeling completely taken advantage of due to the fact that I paid almost $500 to have Heckman & Associates file my 1099 taxes as well as a 20 minute appointment to set up a self employment retirement account. (could've easily done it myself through fidelityin 10 minutes) To put the icing on the cake they called to bribe me 75$ ONLY IF I take down my BAD REVIEW on Yelp. At first I considered it but after thinking about it I refused the bribe and realized how petty they really were. I feel like they took me for a complete fool and tried to take advantage of me due to the fact I'm from another country. I hope this post will help other's from going to this unprofessional firm.

I was in a bind, having found out at the last minute that my husband hadn't filed our taxes with only 3 days left til the Oct extension deadline. David was willing to take on our slightly complicated tax return (including an international transfer, a home purchase, and a severance package from long term employment). David and his team were extremely responsive, knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating. I really appreciate the approach as it was quite stressful to learn about this at the last minute! I would recommend him and his team any time.

Dave and his associates have done my taxes for many years. They have done both my business and personal taxes.They have completed the taxes quickly,but most importantly accurately. This year I missed sending in 4 forms. So I printed out the forms and tried faxing to Dave. My fax machine was on the fritz so Dave drove over on a Sunday to get the form to complete our taxes before we went on vacation. This is the kind of service you're going to get from Heckman and associates. They are a GREAT company. Thanks Dave

I hope you avoid this unprofessional firm. Unprofessional business practices. Your information is not secure. You would be better off with a different company. Now it seems the owner of this company, David Heckman, is stalking my social media profiles and spreading lies about those who leave less than favorable reviews (I don't even use Yelp, for example). To me, listening to feedback from former clients would be a lot more helpful to him and his business than being unprofessional. Sad!

Beginning with Bob McGuire and now working with David Heckman for the past 10 years, I couldn't be more pleased with the service, the intelligence and competence displayed in handling my accounts. David has been a delight to work with and I have every confidence in him---so much so that I refer him to my Clients, my friends and my family. He is gracious and helpful to all. Best firm I have ever dealt with! I too was a client of Bob Mcguire that transitioned to Heckman and Associates. If anything, the service was better! Dave and his staff are the best.
