Very cosy and nice place. We called few minutes in advance of our arrival only to check if it is too crowded, the guy from the phone told us that it is, but after 9PM they are not receiving reservations anymore and we can try to come and check if there is any table available (that’s what we did since we were only 2 people). On our arrival, this guy from the entrance was really nice coming from time to time with an update while we were waiting in front of the building for an available table (the waiting time was only around 10 minutes) and then he welcomed us inside. The drinks were good, the staff was nice…the only thing that bothered us a little bit was the fact that, going out for a cigarette with my boyfriend, we were asked to leave something at the table to make sure we are not leaving without paying ( I am not sure if that’s an usual thing for them, no one asked this before) and that’s why I am giving them 4 starts. It was cold outside, we had to take our coats with us and I could not leave my purse…so my boyfriend stayed only in his sweater only for leaving the coat at the table. Their drinks are really good, but I had some other that were even better in other bars in Prague with similar prices but better quality and more space, considering here the tables felt too crowded for us.

My fiance and I went here around 930 to grab a drink as this place is highly rated and it was absolutely worth the walk over. My recommendation is to make a reservation if you plan on going because this place was booked full all night even on a Wednesday. The host Andrew was extremely friendly and accommodating, he found us a table for 2 quite quickly, even when there's a long wait. This place is quite upscale in its mood and atmosphere, not the type of place to go get rowdy. The cocktail list was fantastic, something for everyone but also incredibly innovative. As a former bartender with 10+ years of experience, I was impressed. They even have little drawings of the glassware each drink comes in on the menu, an artistic touch. Everyone is different. The Hemingways Garden came in a raised basin with a turnkey pour spout into a coup, and the dessert cocktail I had came in a gilded coup on a wooden coaster carved like a bar of chocolate. Awesome detail. The atmosphere is dark and leather, with typewriters and photos of Hemingway throughout his life on the walls. Great place for a nightcap. Thank you for your amazing service Andrew! We will return here next time we are in Prague.

Classy pricey place with amazing drinks. Service can be more professional. Drinks & snack: the cocktails on their menu are very original and amazing. The classic cocktails were also nicely made. Olives with peanuts are pretty good. (Creamy Bohemian’s appearance can be improved. It really looks like vomit). Service: staff Kate who served us can be more professional. I didn’t make reservation to come here to be judged by what I order, my race, what I wear, or whom I’m with. Other staff are very attentive and friendly. Atmosphere: classy deco. The background music was very poor-taste pop music and so loud that we couldn’t hear each other in conversations. Don’t think the music matches a high-end cocktail bar named Hemingway (Maybe light jazz or light classic would fit better). I can tell most people here care and are passionate about what they do. I just would expect more professionalism from one of the best cocktail bars in the world. My night could have been much better if I didn’t have to experience the judgments from one staff. No customer should have to.

It was our first time at Hemingway's bar. Everything was perfect, from the customer service and the knowledge of the staff on the cocktails (and drinks in general) to the quality and way of serving of the drinks! We accompanied our drinks with the gooda cheese, breadsticks and fig jam, which o had to say it was really tasty (we skeptical at first whether it would be a good choice)! Prices are about 10-12 euros per drink which is not too much but it might be considered as one of the "pricier" in Prague. Definitely you have to make a reservation through bar's website to avoid waiting in line outside in the cold! If I ever visit the city again ,definitely will drink there again!!!

We arrived here without a reservation and they very kindly seated us within five minutes of opening the door. Two members of staff made sure we were cared for and being tended to within that time and thanked us for our patience while we waited. The waiter was incredibly attentive and the bartender came out to tell us about our drinks as he served them to us, they were able to take what you liked in a drink and turn it into a cocktail. I recommend the mint and cucumber style drink that they made up for us. If I could give more than 5 stars I would, the staff went above and beyond for us and the atmosphere was amazing, close but not close enough/listen to the people next to us. Prefect place for a date night or after dinner drinks.

SO FUN!! I try to look for non-touristy places. This place is fantastic even if it does cater to tourists. Finding a cocktail bar that has ghee-infused vodka or sweet pea garnish is rare in my home country. My friend and I went twice bc it was such a stellar experience. See Katarzyna (sp?) or George (sp?). They were incredibly kind and attentive. This is a place where you can tell them what you like, and they will produce an appropriate drink for you bc they are that good at their craft. I recommend calling and making a reservation. It’s not the biggest place, and they are only open in the evening/night. I will miss this place when we leave Prague.

Best cocktail place in Prague. We had an amazing time drinking very good quality cocktails in this bar. We arrived and they ask if we had reservations, we didn’t but they managed to squeeze us in. We was placed upstairs by the bar ( honestly amazing way to have the cocktails) The Mixologist gave us an amazing experience, as he was preparing our cocktails he was explaining about each component and what we would feel by drinking thar cocktail. Thumbs up to the star of the night a cocktail made with Absinthe called Breath in the afternoon.

some of the best cocktails i’ve had! the cocktails were so fun and each had their own story that our server explained to us. my favourite was under the sea which comes in a glass shaped like a shell with an edible sponge. we had 2 cocktails each and it came to roughly £50 (1417.53czk) which is a bit steep for 4 drinks but for the experience and how nice the drinks were i think it’s worth it. it gets quite busy so i’d recommend booking. however, we didn’t book and we queued outside for roughly 10 minutes which wasn’t bad. definitely worth a visit!

I am very grateful that the staff was able to fit us in for 1 drink at the Hemingway Bar. I didn't know that reservations were recommended, and I'm glad we happened to be walking by right as they opened before things got too busy. We sat at the bar and Andrew, one of the bartenders, was an amazing mixologist and conversationalist. It was a joy to chat with him and watch him prepare our phenomenal drinks, and those of other guests. The staff all seems to work beautifully as a team to create a memorable experience for their guests.

First up, an amazing experience. I can say that I’ve never had such a plea to experience with cocktails. Amazing ambiance. I went during the early evening so it wasn’t too packed. The staff was more than happy to seat my groups without reservation in a place that we wanted. The bartender/mixologist was amazing. He gave excellent recommendations based on previous drinks we liked and even recommended some new ones to try. My group came in with the intent to have one drink and leave, but needed up staying for the amazing experience.

If you want a nice quiet evening with your SO or you want to chat with the staff (or think about the coming days), then this a great bar to visit. The cocktails themselves while not strong, are definitely flavorful and well made. Reservations are highly recommended if you want seats around the bar, otherwise you can get lucky with walk-ins (but you will be sitting away from the bar). A little on the pricier side (about 15 USD per coktail) but if you want good ambiance and flavorful drinks, then this is your place.

This bar was one of my highlights in Prague. Not only do they offer a range of fantastic cocktails, but they also have an advanced and amazing mixologist. He was the one that led us to find one of the authentic restaurants in Old Town. We didn't call the reserved table. They told us to wait a couple of minutes, and placed us in the bar. When we finished, there was a line outside. Definitely one of the most-go cocktail bars!

What an incredible place. Non wonder it's always packed!! The place it's very small, so I would suggest to book in advance. We were served by this incredible and polite guy, I wish I had asked his name to mention in my review. He was so friendly and knowledgeable! I had a chocolate and strawberry caipiroska, it was so fruity! I loved it! My partner had a cocktail called Breath in the afternoon which came in a very fancy bottle. He loved it! 100% recommend this place if you're in Prague!!

The best place to have cocktails in Prague in my opinion. Very nice atmosphere, felt very intimate. Given a warm welcome by staff. The staff gave amazing service, gave time to talk to us about the cocktail when taking our order and serving. Did not feel rushed. Plus the cocktails were delicious! And a good price! We enjoyed the cocktails, the place, the music, the hospitality and the service. Cocktails were definitely unique and not simple twists of the classics. Waiters are also happy to help you find the cocktails that better suits your taste. Other than that their catalogue offers more than 300 runs, which I think is kind of awesome Probably you should consider booking in advance as it is quite crowded and they only allow people inside if there is available seating.

Very friendly bar with expanded collection of alcohol. We have seated at the bar and our bartender (Matthew) was a really great guy. Small talk, very tasty cocktails. You can just describe your taste and a bartender create something special for you. We even tried a sea version of bloody mary with wakame :) A lot of customers, so I would like to recommend you to make a reservation before.

Another must try bar in Prague. Found this place through top 50 discovery bar (they haven’t been ranked yet). They have a great signature selection that gives you a lot of unique flavors. Definitely try their BREATH IN THE AFTERNOON which is their absinthe base cocktail.

The PERFECT BAR for Bar & Cocktail lovers. There are certainly more beautiful and bigger bars [in Prague], but ist is DEFINITELY THE BEST BAR IN PRAGUE. Hemingway's lives bar culture, mixology culture and the bar keepers/mixologists are masters at their craft. And very friendly. The cocktails are awesome, different, the whisky selection is great, and the rum selection, well, the rum selection is out of this world! A MUST VISIT while in Prague.

We tried just about every cocktail bar in Prague during our visit there. Hemingway Bar was our first and by far favorite. Great atmosphere, friendly conversational and knowledgeable staff. They have their own absinthe. Cocktails were all great. Service tip is cash only - we felt horrible as we didnt have any cash on us (please change this policy). Highly recommend if you're looking for a good cocktail bar.

Two cocktails costed us like 25€ and they were pretty much the cheapest ones. 40ml of absinthe (a bit more than a shot) is like 15€, come on... I mean, If you have the money, it's absolutely worth it, but if you are on a budget, I suggest trying your cocktail luck somewhere else.

The personnel was excellent and super helpful in every way possible. Although we visited late at night while at full capacity, we only had to wait a couple minutes before being sitted. There are a lot of rules listed, which I appreciate, but it discourages visiting other tables, etc., so not a great place to meet other patrons if that's the vibe you are looking for (unless maybe at the bar top). This was one of the best bars I've ever been to - the cocktails are creative, fun, and so good! Our mixologist, John, was absolutely incredible, he explained the drinks to us and was so much fun to talk to. We got squeezed in (make sure you make a reservation!!) and stayed for about 4 hours. My favorite place in Prague. Went two nights in a row and had every drink on the specials menu and every single one was amazing. Mickey, our drink master, is extremely knowledgeable and amazing. One of the best cocktail bars in Prague, no doubt. Extensive selection of original cocktails, including with Absinthe. Very nice Hemmingway themed decor, and good ambiance. Excellent service. Some good snacks (we didn't need to eat more after, so sufficient for a dinner).

Beautiful bar in the old city near the river. The cocktails were great, the one with absinthe was not to my taste but the options were vast. try to make a reservation early in the week because it is difficult to find on a weekend.
