I took my daughter here for the first time to eat at the Chart House restaurant and to see the views. We had a great time! Don't expect to be blown away by the food. Just know that the view is built into the price. After we had lunch, we went up to the observation deck. The outdoor section is legit, views are amazing. My daughter got to run around the entire thing, which was her favorite part. Following the tower experience, we stumbled into a jazz fest. My daughter isn't the biggest jazz fan, so we played at the park. The park is a good size, multiple sections for younger kids to older kids. All in all, we had a great time, and we will definitely be back.

The main reason to go here is for the views. The dessert and drinks were good. My glazed salmon was good but the rest of the group got Steaks and they were just ok. The lava cake is great but order it when your meal comes, it takes 30 min to cook. The wait staff was just ok. We had a couple with us, but they were sitting at the table behind us, and had to find a waiter to take their order. I was not impressed with the wait staff. The views were incredible! My best advice? Go for desserts and drinks. Skip the meal. Enjoy the views and call it a day.

Showed up in the middle of the week before 11 and the place was relatively quiet and calm and the wife and I got married! There’s a beautiful spot upstairs with a little island surrounded by water and a waterfall in the background where we tied the knot. Turns out, this is where my wife got her quinceañera pictures taken once upon a time. I can’t think of a more beautiful spot on this side of town. Next time, we’ll have to go up the tower and hang out for a rotation.
Picnic area
Plenty of picnic tables, lots of space, quite a few nooks.

Great food and atmosphere, a slight bit pricey but very good. Only issue is bathrooms and their handles
Restrooms
Handle in bathroom for door came off with a slight touch no effort at all as i had nearly cut my thumb off a few days prior with a table saw and cant excurt much force with that hand and thats the one i used on the door. Also a sink faucet was missing a handle on cold side and im told the ladies room was missing the hot side

Very nice and beautiful park in downtown San Antonio. Lots of attractions and amenities within the area, very nice and beautiful Riverwalk, I definitely enjoyed my daily walks near the river. Lots of shops, stores, and bars within the vicinity of the park and the Tower of the Americas is also located in this park. I enjoyed my nighwalks in this park, lots of lights and people. It's definitely worth visiting when you're in San Antonio

Ask a lot of questions when you get your tickets. Esp if you want to eat there or have a cocktail. To eat there you have to make a reservation in The fine dining We just wanted to have a drink, so that was easy. But, people went all the way to the top to eat there and had to back down to the ticket booth to get reservations. Best to do it online. Really great views. It was great to see it. $16.50 for adults

The structure in itself is worth visiting! You can appreciate the wonderful views of the city, and the entire Park complex is beautifully and elegantly designed. Perfect to take pictures! Note: don't wear dresses, hats or loose sunglasses, and tighten up long hair, the wind is extremely strong on one side of the tower. It almost feels like being in a wind turbine. The kids loved it! And our pictures were too funny!

Tourist, it's the heart beat of the city. For adults and kids. Great restaurants - Box Street, Bombay Cycle Club... play ground/park for the kids, reroot wine bar, grand opening of the new park area, the Tower of Americas. Power tip. Save $$$ by going to the bar of the tower - it's free, vs the observation level. South Town 5 minute walk, river walk 5 minute walk, Saint Paul Square 10 minute walk.

Since the re-do years ago this is a park that has become more frequented by many people. Well lit and plenty of activities to choose from all year round. I really enjoy my time sometimes just walking around even. See you soon!

Lovely park in downtown. Everything is clean and very well maintained. Lots of choices for swings and playing. Part of the park has cork flooring which is very kid friendly. On a Wednesday morning, it was pleasantly crowded with families.
Playground
Well maintained. Lots of obstacle courses and a variety of swings.
Restrooms
There are bathroom facilities available.

Always so nice and clean. I understand it's a tourist spot, the price to go up for such a short time is expensive for a family of 5 but we did anyway. Even bought the pictures. Won't go up every time I'm there but it's always nice at the fountains. Although several were not running, maybe maintenance issues, not sure. I finally saw the wings that was nice there.

  • Amili Rodriguez

I'm sad they took out that old playground, if you know, you know. Buuuut the kids are super happy of the new renovations that came about. I love goin to all the events they host here also. Soooo much space and sooo many new things to do. I can't wait to try the new spash pad or wet area. Definitely recommend for kids and they have food and drinks close by

  • Anne Margaret White

Wonderful park for all ages. Lots of climbing structures that big and little kids can enjoy. Thought the tiled benches were gorgeous. Looks handmade and so festive. We were there in the spring, so not sure how hot they get. Seems to be a lot of shady areas to enjoy. Even hammocks we're available for a shady little siesta. Super cool (pun intended!!).

  • Brian Bruce

Excellent ! The construction crews are making Marvelous progress. Some walk- & drive-ways are open on again & off again depending on the work being done so well. The crewmen and their supervisors are very well aware of all foot, cycle and vehicular traffic. There are some photos to post with this requiring my scrutiny ✌️ Peace ✌️ Brian Bruce

  • Paul Nelson

The view from the top is really cool with an outer ring that you can walk around. My biggest complaint is waiting around and not knowing if the elevator is even headed your way or not.. some sort of basic indication that we push the button the call has been registered would be nice or some other status indication of what the elevator is doing

  • Bev Schmaltz

We had a 10 day getaway in our motorhome to San Antonio...only an hour away. This is a favorite place to go.....The ride on the elevator to the bar and stepping out to see the beautiful view of the city from the top of the world....lol We had wonderful margaritas and some delicious shrimp and the best onion rings I've ever eaten!!

  • Jose Jimenez

If anyone is ever going to visit San Antonio, Texas... This should be the first place to visit, all day parking $10 till midnight, it's in the heart of every prime destination by foot... Water walk, restaurants, Alamo, Mall, Plazas, horse carriage, tons and tons... For everyone! The tower is amazing view to San Antonio as well.

  • Victoria Stankus

Yes!!! Worth it!! Get combo tickets with river boat and bus tour and save!! Great photo opportunities!!!! Bring your photo gear for this place!!! It is beautiful. Long walk from the bus tour so wear comfortable shoes!! It's worth every step. Also, you can Uber back!! They pick up and drop off here as well.

We went to Hemisphere park for Dia de Los Muertos fest. This park has nice options for children with climbing equipment with a padded ground. The park itself was nice and clean with water falls and a beautiful art museum.

Beautiful place to walk and enjoy waterfall, park and the incredible tower. I was not able to go on the tower ( short on time) but went early morning and walk through the area. Tower open at 11am. The view must be espectacular!. Restaurant and plenty place to enjoy nature …

  • Jordan Locke

Gorgeous and breathtaking. As a san antonion of 20 years, I had not gone to see this precious site up close. Now I'm kicking myself for not having gone sooner. First Fridays offer a variety of family friendly activities including bull-riding (for kids) and a classic car show!

  • Jackie Sciascia

This park had a parking garage, with low fees. A water splash pad for the kids, with a great seating area for the parents. They also had sectioned areas for older and younger children. There's also an ice cream shop by the park. Great location!

  • Debra Clen

Went up the tower of Americas inSan Antonio. Nice view of the area. There is an outside observation deck which is very windy but cool, or you can just look from the inside. There is a restaurant that turns but is quite expensive. There is a

It was so beautiful, went there for the Grand Opening. The Jazz Fest opened on this day, heard some awesome Jazz bands, lots of green space and wading pools. My family and I had a great time, can't wait to go back for other events now

Currently much is under construction, so difficult to judge much. Some iconic buildings (especially the courts), but the area feels very tired. However, if the small areas that have been refurbished are any indication this will be an

Park is undergoing major repairs so not everything was active. Large areas blocked off making access to the tower a bit challenging by foot. Waterfalls that were running were gorgeous. Other side of park has very nice playground.

  • Rocco Flores

Food was great. The view was good. Some sea sick feelings kicked in but went away when I ate some food lol. The tower spins slowly which is cool. Casual dressy was the attire for me but I saw people with shorts and tennis shoes.

  • Becca S

Great park. Very historic. Love the water features. Great places for pictures. I attended the Luminaria event. Lots of music and great art exhibitions. I love San Antonio such a great city. Lots to see and do.

San Antonio culture at its best! Celebrating “dia de los muertos”. Good to see San Antonio and it’s people celebrating without chaos, mischievous and unnecessary drama. Loved it.

  • Jorge Tovar

Worth the visit, some nice views at the top. If you're not set on going to the observation deck you can grab a bite or a drink at Chart House and still catch some great views!

  • Krissy m

So much fun for the kids. Not your typical playground with just swings and slides. Lots of climbing structures. Wish they had more than one digger for the sand pit though.

  • Earthtokarmen

There are so many fun things to do at Hemisfair Park! We had such a good date day wandering around the beautiful park and checking out some of the businesses in the area.

  • Carol Underwood

What a beautiful space, with the unbelievable water features throughout. I'm from the Nortwest, and I could have sworn that one of them could have been a fish ladder

  • Troy Smith

Pretty nice view from the top. Not much more there, unless you’re having dinner. We watched the 4D theatre, but it was only 3D , because the 4D was broken.

  • Mr Turtle

A lot of great sitting areas outside with many photo places. Inside was interesting with the 5d movies and observation desk.
