Extremely disappointed with the "service" or lack there of, my family & I received from Erik. I had originally reached out to Erik as I was not able to access my CRA account online. I had a brief conversation with him over the phone, he mentioned a tax credit I should be aware of for the future, that he was trying to get access to the account on my behalf, but was also having some difficulty as there were many people also trying to access their accounts online and that he would try to save my family as much money as possible given the circumstances (my parents are in the process of divorce). Fast forward to a few weeks later, my mom receives a bill from him for services he apparently provided me. I find it extremely unprofessional that the bill was even sent to her and not to me especially if these "services" were provided to me and not her. Erik was never able to access my CRA account (I never received a follow up email, phone call or text message) nor did he file any taxes on my behalf. He claimed to want to save my family money yet he billed us for what? A 5 minute phone call? I would not recommend Erik to any of my family, friends or strangers as clearly the only thing that he's concerned with is making money for work that isn't completed.

I reached out to this accounting firm as it was highly reccomended for my corporate tax filing and book keeping services. I provided all my bank statements and corporate documents. I had several phone discussisions with Brian Smit. Brian was happy to take me on as his a new client. But several weeks after our phone conversations and providing documents, I received an abrupt email that he was no longer available to provide services without explanation. As a Certified Accountant, who should hold high professional standards, this was very unprofessional. I would not recommend this accounting firm. My experience was not good and Brian Smit was unprofessional on how he handled my file.

Terrible service from Erik. No communication at all. Sends invoices without notifications of completing any filing. Now he ignores my calls and the last email and I quote “you are harassing me” ya the client who wants to speak to his accountant after receiving the an invoice and ignored for a week in now harassing him? What a joke. Stay away far away. Get a call from the CRA that my filing is getting audited and who will I call for assistance? Erik won’t return emails let alone answer his phone. So I will not be using the firm I paid to file my returns. I personally think he did this on purpose to trigger an audit because he is upset I called him out.

I was able to entrust this accounting firm with my tax filing needs. Their tax services were sufficient because I was able to receive a larger refund than when I file for my taxes on my own. I was very mistrusting of others getting involved in my tax affairs, which is why I used to do them myself. If you’re like me and very cautious about who you get involved in your tax affairs, then trust me when I say this firm meets your expectations. They certainly met mine. I want to thank Ren and Rosie for their wonderful service and professionalism when undergoing this process. They were very helpful in assisting me with my tax filing needs. Sincerely, Melissa
