The lack of management in this school is unprofessional. I reached out to school on first day of my daughter class bc the teacher had no book prepared for her. She didn’t reply. The office only has teenager boys running it. I did not see anyone else but this boy Henry. The teacher was annoyed the school didn’t prepare her books with my daughter and ran to grab a random book. At the end she got her books half through the class. Second week we got in there was no teacher there, we went to the office, they found out the teacher was sick didn’t show up for work. If the class is scheduled at 1045am, shouldn’t school check to see if teachers show u for work? Why do parents have to run to the office to say there is no teacher there? Called the owner, went to voicemail and text her. No reply but however messages been read. She knows what is going on and don’t bother to contact parent to explain or get things straightened out? Very unprofessional. Yes there are many great things that look like this school is a great school but if I haven’t try this school out, I would not believe how they manage. There is lack of school management and lack of communication. I asked for full refund and withdraw and go somewhere else. Obviously they don’t need our business bc they have many classes going on and don’t care for one lost student. We were excited to start this school but if we don’t feel we can trust the school when things go wrong then we prefer go somewhere else. We are not looking to perform in tv or looking for fame but a mere professional school that my daughter can learn piano in a trustworthy school with teachers and schools that CARE.

My daughter has been attending the school since 2010. One big reason we stay with the school year after year is its excellent and caring faculty. The couple directing the school are high-caliber musicians and devoted to music education. They implement a consistent approach and yet also tailor it to individual students. The school offers a vibrant collection of lessons, group opportunities (orchestra, choir, dance classes, etc.), and impressive opportunities for performance at world class venues. Despite significant growth in recent years, the personal attention and care we receive does not decrease - the director knows almost all students at the school by name, coordinates with teachers regularly, and hosts monthly class meetings. Our daughter is very fortunate to have known and be taught and mentored by them.

Joyous Music School is the best music school in Queens and Long Island. They have three branches—Syosset, Albertson and Flushing. Each location is run by accomplished music directors such as SONY-BMG recording artists, accomplished concert pianists, conductors and award winning composers. Joyous offers private lessons in piano, violin, viola, cello and bass. My 5-yr-old son has been taking private music classes there for the past year. He’s had so much fun since he started. Besides individual instruction, Joyous also offers chamber music, orchestra, theory, sight-singing, art, dance and theater class. It’s a very enriching environment for children of all levels and backgrounds. I strongly recommend them!

Advance students can attend group class such as chamber music, orchestra and performance class. Each year, Joyous produces up to 50 performance including venues like Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Barclays Center, Madison Square Garden and Times Square. Joyous students have been featured in shows such as ABC’s Good Morning America, NBC’s Today Show and FOX News. This is the place for great music education.

I have been thoroughly impressed with this music school, and I have to say that I specially liked the monthly performance classes in the school. They also provided my son with the incredible opportunity to perform on famous venues, and these experiences have not only given him confidence but also fostered a deep love for music. The dedicated instructors and comprehensive curriculum at this school have helped him grow as a musician, and I couldn't be happier with the progress he's made.

This school is absolutely unprofessional, unorganized and has no structural. It is wasting my time to contact them couple times, visit their place and email back and forth. After 3 weeks, it still has no result. But I was told they are overwhelming. Obviously, This school is lack of people, teacher and rooms. They don't have administrator, director and advisor. I am so regret to contact them, and I waste my time for 3 weeks. I should have contacted another better school already!

I am so inspired by the Joyous String Ensemble. You guys showed me how to enjoy playing classical music. I have been playing viola for few years in my school's orchestra. When I saw your performance on YouTube, it opened my eyes to the possibility of my instrument. I have become a different player today because of you. Thank you! Keep up the great work! Very bad experience. They have no management at all. They are using young student teachers instead of professional piano teachers. Asking your child to attend two months pre class for nothing. I was at one of your students' performance few weeks ago. So impressed with all of your students. Specially the girl who plays the violin in the front. She is so young and so talented! Beautiful sound, great intonation and artistry. Great job! I am planing to sign up piano lessons for my kids soon.

Home of the renowned young artist group, Joyous String Ensemble. This pre-college music program offers professional training in piano and all string instruments. Performance teams regularly perform for NBA/WNBA games, Wonderama, at Carnegie Hall, and other TV shows.

Love that we can learn music, dance, and drawings in one place! Teachers are very professional and it’s no comparison to other schools I’ve been to.

I attended my niece' winter recital. I was amazed to see so many little ones playing so well. Great school for piano, violin and cello students.
