Unprofessional and hard to trust. Very recently Hills Motor Group apparently purchased my vehicle from me after we agreed on a price and made a further agreement that the payment for the vehicle sold will only fall into my bank account overnight after I leave the dealership with sale part done from my end and signed rego paper, keys and the vehicle possession in their hands. I left the dealership and the payment had not hit my account even after 24 hours. I called one of their sales/purchase consultants next day to alert him of the situation to which he responded ‘he ll look into it’ and ‘maybe the owner didnt make the payment through OSKO’ and i needed to wait maybe 24-48 hours. One more day passed and the payment still wasnt in and I received no update from HMG on this matter at all. If anything my calls went answered unless i tried a couple of times. I finally got hold of them and they came back to me saying that their management has rejected the purchase as they do not want to buy any more cars this financial year. I was taken aback by this discovery as I had already paid $1500 in deposit for my next car and further lost $500 from advert cost of my current vehicle including travelling here n there for the 2 days in ubers as i was without a car and no money in the bank from them. I inquired if the dealership will compensate me for my loss and I was refused and told they are not responsible for my actions and the sale hadnt been finalised (from their end) lol. I ended up picking my car back up from them without being compensated for any expense I had incurred as a result of their actions. I would ask everyone to stay skeptical when dealing with these guys or better yet steer clear. Its hard to believe a dealership of their scale could do such a thing and there maybe more victims. My family and friend were also upset with my ordeal and may be putting up reviews too to support my stance. If anyone needs proof I have each and everything documented in shape of text messages and/or paperwork. I wanted to take them to court for it after speaking to a lawyer but did not think my time was worth it. Reviews were the only way I could take out my frustration and rightfully so.

Recently purchased a used Hyundai i30 from Hills Motor Group. I had found the car and spoke to Angelo who was very accommodating. I asked for a last minute view of the car about 45 minutes before closing. After test driving the car, we decided to purchase. Angelo was not what you would call a 'typical' car salesman. He was not pushy, infact the complete opposite. Told us to take our time and let us have our space whilst discussing the car. This was beyond what we expected especially as it was a last minute late request just before closing time. When we told him we were happy to purchase he told us if we wanted to, we could put a holding deposit down. There was no pressure. I had organised finance separately and had advised him of this. He not only told me that whenever I hear back to let him know but also said that if it fell through any deposit was fully refundable. This is the opposite of what I had experienced in the past where my holding deposit was not refundable at other car yards. Once finance was approved, Angelo was patient with me as I had to work around work and pick up. We discussed extended warranty (which I brought up myself) and was again not pressured to purchase it. He was very honest, genuine and had integrity. Something hard to find not only in this industry, but in general. Angelo, thank you so much for your assistance and for the purchase of my new car. You and your company come highly recommended by myself and my family.

Crooks - Absolute crooks! The day I drove it out of the car yard, the engine light came on. (If you read other reviews, theres so many similar stories) They said they would fix under consumer warranty. I was then sent to 3 different mechanics over 10 visits in 6 months, they always said they would fix the issue but have since ceased communication once I revealed the true issue after requesting my own full diagnostic. The vehicle has been in work shops more than on the road. Only done 3500km in a year & its a business van. First they said it was DPF filter, then sensor, never gave me paperwork or receipts & still wont provide what they ever fixed. I then took it for a full diagnostic & it revealed there was petrol in vehicle (which i never did). This was fixed & guess what, the light was still on, so i pressed again & finally the core issue revealed a air leak in the turbo gasket $5.5k to fix. Car engine light still on & been to fair trading, tribunal, now going to court as they wont fix the turbo gasket leak which is clearly the issue since day 1 as engine light never turned off even after their 10 attempts. They sold me a lemon, then put petrol in a diesel engine themselves to try & make us go away. We are so disappointed & completely shocked that a business would do such thing but if you read other reviews you can see how they have done it to many others. Horrific experience.

Waited a couple of months to post this so I'd have time to drive the car and make sure everything was okay. First of all, buying a used car comes with risks. Everyone knows that. And a lot of negative reviews for this dealership seem to be from people who are quite unrealistic about what a dealership is going to do for them before they take delivery of the car. Some issues are too minor to be noticed by the dealer, some aren't apparent until the car has been sold etc. Personally, I bought a 2013 XR6 Turbo and yes, it's had its issues such as a few leaks and warped brake rotors. But to be honest they were things I was going to get checked and replaced anyway. I dealt with Ustun on the day. He was very friendly and gave me a price that was more than fair for my trade in. He was able to get the trade in sorted and put me into my new car within two hours which is pretty impressive considering I was a walk in without an appointment. When I noticed the issues with the car I called Hills Motors and they were quick to offer me an inspection and repairs under the 3 month warranty but I ended up using my own mechanic due to travel time.

We were told on the first day, no matter what happens we will assist you!!!!….so wrong!!!!! We had our bmw 10 weeks, and had a major issue with a water leak, we rang hills, not interested in helping, not there problem, check your warranty!!..they backed away, no help at all!!!!….$550 later we had the problem fixed ourselves… Another issue has appeared months later, hills delivered the bmw to our home because of an issue with the blueslip??…it was late arriving to our address,…now receiving toll tickets from everywhere , there staff went on drive to numerous locations, parramatta , Strathfield, before dropping the car to our address,…hills have nominated us for the toll bills incurred by there staff,, Stay away from hills motor group, not worth the hassles MAGIC!!!!!!!…I gave a bad review and magic happened…. 5 x 5 star reviews appeared……naw!!! not magic…. An insight into what they get up to!!!

Did not honor their new car warranty on my car. I drove the car home to the hunter. on the drive the car started to seriously overheat and the engine light came on. i checked everything and noticed a metal plate fell out the front. It was a heat cover. I gave them a fair chance to fix/ correct things but in the end I've submitted to fair trading. They had me drive to them on 2 different occasions to "fix" the issue. Only for the engine light to come on as soon as i got home. I took the JUST PURCHASED vehicle to my mechanic and i had $4500 worth of repairs. Engine mounts worn, thermostat broken etc. Happy to share photos of the bills from my mechanic. Looking for screenshots of their communication with me. Once I find them i will upload it. I am starting to think it's time to write it to ACA about this mob.

massive shout out to my new best friends Angelo and Euston @ the Hills Motor Group who set me up with my gorgeous new wheels!! they made the whole process so simple and took care of all the paperwork - all i had to do was show up at Service NSW, show my driver's licence, pay the transfer of registration and i WAS ALREADY DONE!!! i couldn't believe it.. Euston was incredibly helpful and friendly in a really genuine way and then Angelo offered very competitive pricing on the car without being pushy.. they each helped us feel very much at ease with the purchase and my partner and i thoroughly enjoyed the process.. i'm unbelievably happy with my new yellow Argo 3rd!! thanks so much guys..

Terrible Experience Knowingly sold a car riddled with problem's hoping we wouldn't notice. We had an independent mechanic look at it. They Sent car to a mechanic in Parramatta to rectify, came back and problems still existed. Sales person started saying check engine is not a warranty item. Owner came out and finally was honest, he purchased the car at auction and hoped for the best. They knew it had issues that would exceed $3k to fix. Disappointing experience, make sure you have an independent mechanic you trust go over the car, you are taking a gamble, and salesperson was happy for us to wear the problems. Not an honest experience

Angelo and the team we’re very friendly and welcoming and communication was great. They didn’t pressure us at all. The car is lovely. But, it was disappointing to be driving it away on an empty tank of fuel. The light came on within1km of the dealership. Further disappointingly, we drove away at 59,800km and they hadn’t done the required 60,000km service for us, despite saying log book services were up to date. At that service, after owning the car for one week, the car required 2 new tyres and new air filter. A shame or it would have been a great review.

Bought a used X-Trail a few days ago, and can honestly recommend Hills Auto Group for their professional, helpful, and down to earth manners. Sure, the car has a couple of small issues, but what can one expect from a 20 year old car, although it is in way, way better condition (& better specs!) than all the other ones I looked at, and the price was incredible! At no time was any pressure to buy the car there and then, plus the transfer of rego was done on site, which saved me a lot of time. Thanks to the team at Hills Motor Group!

Really great service! Ustun and the team were great. They were professional, friendly and highly approachable. The overall service was great. I managed to find a vehicle and their trade in service was simple, straight-forward and uncomplicated. I got a good price on my former car. The car I bought has been great so far. There was an issue with the battery initially, however Ustun was able to get me a new battery for my car without any fuss. I definitely recommend this business!

We bought a Jeep from the team at Hills Motor Group recently and they were very friendly, accommodating and helpful with our purchase. The Jeep came with side steps which we did not want, so they had them removed for us at no cost and also posted out the log book and manual once we realised it was not in the glove compartment. Hills Motors Group is very profesional and they look after their customers pretty well even after sales. I bought a Mazda from Hills Motors Group recently. And ther was one bumper repair pending which was promised to be taken care of whenever their smash repair guy comes back after his leaves and It was done without any hassle. Overall experience was very very pleasent. No issues with the car. Really deserve a 5 star rating. I highly recommend Hills Motors Group.

Purchased a Peugeot 208GTi last year. Was told by the salesman it was in excellent condition. It turned up to me in Adelaide with very poor paint work. I contacted the original owner who informed the car had been in 2 accidents and repaired badly both times. After requesting to return the vehicle back to the dealer, I was told by the general manager I should have done my homework before going ahead with the purchase. I wouldn’t trust this company at all.

Customer service was excellent. Gave me plenty of time to think over new purchase. Once Ute was bought, found an issue with fuel leakage, rang Angelo straight away, he booked Ute in with his mechanic & problem was fixed straight away at his cost. It was an issue that dealer wouldn’t have noticed, as the problem occurred during higher gear & longer travelling. I’m happy to do business with Hills Motor Group again in future.

Purchased a wrx with no warranty roughly 2 weeks ago. Issues I’ve had are as follows *check engine light after 3 days * Severe Radiator leak. Required replacement * Air Conditioning no longer works(refrigerant leak) * o2 sensor replacement Staff where friendly & helpful I’m just a little disappointed that the above issues weren’t addressed as they would have been obvious before the usual engine detail that dealerships do.
