We took a broken LG microwave under warranty for magnatron to get it fixed. The microwave was working, sounding, looking and turning inside like normal, just not heating. Nothing wrong with the motor, turning the glass inside as normal. Then they want to charge us R2700 for fixing a broken inverter and broken motor. And the magnatron for free under warranty. When we bought it new it was R2700. Now wanting to charge us R2700 to fix stuff that was not broken when we took it in??? Must really think we are stupid. We did not drop it or anything and looked after it well. It worked the one moment and the next stopped heating while we heated food. 2 years old. Their "best" microvawe. Now 3 different things broken at once out of the blue while nothing happened to the microwave? What are the chances? We tested it before taking it in to Hirsch, in a thick soft blanket to protect it. The motor was working. Now they said it is broken. How And wants to charge us the price of a new microwave. Plus the magnatron and inverter broken. After sales service was not up to standard. One has to walk through the smokers area to get in the shop. Very unprofessional. What is going on? Very dodge. Also did not keep to promised time frames for feedback. Never buying from you again. Won't recommend you to friends either, but will spread the word of what happened.

Bought a fridge and a Microwave from them in December2022. Took the Microwave home with them delivering the fridge the next day. That turn out to be 4 days later. Because we live in Hermanus. Which was not a problem we i bought it. When they deliver the fridge I will ant to send the Microwave back the turn table soes not turn. No Sir cant do that you have to take it in back to Somerset West yourself. Took it in a few weeks later first time i did get a chance. No it is old now they have to send it in for repairs cant swop it. Putting it down the turn table shatter so I order a new one. The week turned out to be 6 weeks. In that 6 weeks i keep on phoning for the turntable. Without a newly bought Microwave. Fetch it 2 weeks ago. O they did not have the turntable yet. Phone me last week please come fetch the turn table. Last Saturday at Hirches. O sorry it is not here yet. I just drive from Hermanus for ut. Sorry not here. So Monday they phone me again. It is here. I am at Hirch’s now. Sorry they dont know if it is here The person working with that is not working on Saturdays. So i have paid fir a microwave and for 4 months of owning it. I still did not use it because of Hirch’s bizarre systems. Never had that problem at Tafelberg. Learned my lesson. Never buy from Hirch’s again

First of all: the sellers are very diligent when it comes to selling. But beware if you claim the service. I ordered a brush for my vacuum cleaner in November 2021, which I bought from Hirsch's in April 2021. 2 months later I was informed that there was a mutation in the "service" staff. The brush was not ordered! 2 months later (March 2022) I received an invoice for the brush and paid it promptly. At the end of April 2022, I was told that the former "Service Lady" had forgotten to order the brush. Now one would be ordered from Europe. - In other words, I've been waiting for a replacement brush for 7 months!! - I'll never ever get one at Hirsch's shopping again!! ADDENDUM: On May 16th I revisited Hirsch's and the manager of customer service promised me to "make steam" with the supplier to get the part in question. It's now July 13th and I haven't heard from the newly recruited "Service Center" employee or the manager! - In the meantime I have personally visited Hirsch's 8 times and spoken to 5 different "new" employees in the "Service Department" and one manager. Notabene, the spare part was already paid for 5 months ago!! -

Today I had a bad experience with Hirsch. On Wednesday I bought a Bosch gas hob. Upon installation by a professional company (on Friday) one of the igniters didn't work. I phone and spoke to Lee-Marc Reisenberg who was the sales assistance. Lee-Marc receives 5 stars . He knew the products I was looking for and assisted me in an excellent way to choose the right product for me. He also tried his best to help me with the after-sales problem described below. But for after service/customer servive: no stars at all!! ☹️I was told I had to wait until a service call was logged to Bosch and they would inspect the hob. That would only be next week. For a brand new product, never been used, this is not acceptable. I insisted that I want to return the faulty hob and exchange it for a new one. At long last it was done Stef did help. Hirsch should gear up their after sales service and not pass on problems between the suppliers and Hirsch to the clients. I'm very reluctant to go to Hirsch again. A suggestion: inform customers about return /faulty procedures in advance.

Love visiting the Hirsch Somerset Store, warmhearted greetings from the staff like you're family, very attentive to you the customer and impeccable service. Keeps you wanting to get back for that amazing service. Well done to you all, from the cleaners, doorman and everyone else who are always visible to the customers. If you're a business owner, do make sure to join the Hirsch Business Networking which is held within the store on the first Thursday of the month and the third Thursday of the month, both are quite interesting and such a learning curve to meet up with business peers, leaders and networking opportunities for you to not just grow your business but yourself. This is a free event and well worth attending, plus all the other Hirsch events held at the store during the month with lots of fabulous offers happening during the month. If you're unable to make it to the Somerset store, get over to the Milnerton Branch to be wowed by great service today!

We ordered and paid in full on online, 18 September for an oven, a stove, cooker hood, washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge. We got an automated message confirming the order and a promise someone would contact us in 1 to 2 working days to confirm collection. 8 Days later my husband went to enquire as we had zero communication. Nothing had been done on their end, we managed to get part of the order. With a promise that the remainder of the order will be attended to asap. We now are on October 2nd, with no communication from them. Previously I made similar orders at Tafelberg and I had no problems at all, they were very efficient at communicating and arranging all the details. I only ordered at Hirsch's because they had a few specials on the items I required but with the time delay it is going to cost me much more as my project is being delayed. I will never recommend Hirsch's

I was looking for a new big dryer and it had to be in Samsung... regardless of the price ... The service I received from Mr Deslin Wood The Samsung Rep Gave me all the help that was needed... He promised to keep me in the loop when they receive stock... He contacted me daily with bad news but still kept me informed and that's what I loved... I found the Item cheaper else where but Because of the service I received from Mr Wood I opted to go with him... Finally got the call he got the item and I couldn't make it but he promised he would keep it for me... In the industry I work We always get told Communication is vital .. And This is what customer service is about... Great Stuff Mr Wood ... It was a Pleasure dealing with u ... The Store will see me again

Poor aftersales. As prior reviewers noted, great at processing the payment but when your device does not work it seems as though you are at the unfortunate mercy of a store which just does not care. Purchased a fairly costly TV, which out of the box was defective, no return and a simple "the technician will call you" is all you get. THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Now I have a lovely 75" black rectangle which serves no purpose. If you are interested in aftersales service, do not purchase from this store. Update, not only does Deslin serve no purpose, neither does Stef. They do not get the issue resolved and a brand new device is still not working and all I get is that they will call on Monday.

I bought a fridge 2 weeks ago on condition that they will deliver the same day because my old fridge broke. I brought it under the salesmen Clint attention. I needed to call them 3:40pm & 4:40pm to follow up. At 5:15pm i received a call from their warehouse to tell me that the delivery will only be the next morning. So it cost me to take that evening all my meat which was in my freezer to my brothers house. They offer me a small free gift to say that they are sorry. 1 & half week later i went x2 back to shop, spoken to manager Stef & salesperson Clint, i called their head office and branch and still nobody comes back to me regarding the gift. Sorry you won't see me again.

I've purchased a 55" Samsung TV on Saturday, 19 Nov 2022 from Dominic. All went well and I was informed that NO stock is available at Hirsch, but he, Dominic, will invoice the item out as I want it to go to Ballito, KZN. I reside herein Somerset West- holiday home is in Ballito. My brother-in-law went to the Junction in Ballito this morning, 22 Nov 2022 just to be notified that there is no stock and that they, Samsung Store, will have to get the unit sent from Pavillion. This is absolutely un-called for and such bad customer service without service excellence. No updates or changes were communicated in order to eliminate delays. Shame on Hirsch 's Somerset West.

Got terrible service from Hirschs Somerset West!!! The quality of the couch we bought wasn't good and the foam went flat after few weeks after we bought the couch. Waited more than 3 monts for them to come and do an inspection on the couch. After waiting another few months for feedback. They said will change foam but with the same quality and if problem reocurrs, we can't come back. Asked for quotes for better quality foam.. Its been a month later and still waiting for the quote... After a year still nothing and suppliers doesn't answer phone!!! Staff dont follow up!!!! Wont support them ever again!!!

Worst experience ever On the 21 November 2023 I went to Hirsch’s in Somerset West to exchange the fridge and I was told that the delivery will be done on the 23 November 2023 today is the 24/11/23 @ 20:31 pm no fridge has been delivered. I believe they’ve been driving up & down with that fridge since yesterday prioritising other deliveries not taking into consideration that I’ve been without a fridge for the whole month due to “faulty fridge that was declared non repairable”. The driver (Takue Kays) kept on lying the whole day. I am very disappointed & frustrated, is it because I’m black.

I came here looking for a new washing machine for my Mom and I searched far and wide. I was greeted and assisted by Prince in the Defy area and he answered every single stupid question I could come up with. I'm super thankful for Prince's advice and also for Perry the sales consultant and his patience that he had with my family. We have tried and tested the machine, they delivered it really quickly and even installed it for us and helped us get it running. The service levels have been more than I've expected in the past! I'm really thankful for this experience.

I ordered and paid 3 weeks in advance for delivery. It was no small amount. The service delivery was the worst I have experienced, making my move way more stressful than usual. The manager tried to lay blame on me for not requesting a timeous delivery. I was lied and am still waiting for my fridge(the most important item required when setting up a new home) The fridge they first delivered had a huge scratch in front and the washer dryer I ordered had to be replaced with a different one. Badly done Hirsch! I will never use or recommend Hirsch Somerset.

I really think that it's a must to see this place. The store in Somerset is situated near builder's warehouse. A big difficult to get. But once you are in the store you get a surprise of your life. Very neat and tidy. Clean at all times. Very helpful staff. Looks to me they want to impress each and every one that enters the store. I am not sure if they have a policy that they beat any written quote. They are priced very well. What I really like is that they offer a laybuy. This put them above a lot of other places that only take cash.

Tailored Made Excellent Service! As an more than often demanding customer Ardene Hindley -Nicolas always meets my needs and goes out of her way to assist me. Today i desperately needed a new washing machine and had my eyes set on one specific washing machine Ardene offered me a much better option, arranged delivery for tomorrow! and arranged for me to do payment via an Ipay link and I did this all from my couch at home! Had absolutely fantastic service here last weekend. Our fridge broke on the weekend and we were able to get same-day delivery for a new fridge and pick-up of our broken fridge on a Sunday. They were the only store both open and willing to do this - the rest would have delivered maybe Tuesday, Wednesday. Besides that, their selection is great (I especially like the fact that the shop is divided into brands), and all the staff are extremely helpful. The delivery guys were also very professional. Top-notch!

She could reflect on personal experiences of using the products. The store itself has such a homely and family like experience. There is a huge variety of products and all staff are very attentive. I had to have a glass hob couriered from the Somerset branch to Durban and Albert ensured that the parcel was wrapped with great care and got to Durban safely. Ordered a small fridge filter which took THE WHOLE DAY to be delivered, but because we left for the evening after waiting all day the guy decided to deliver last second and it had to be returned. Now I am struggling to get them to reschedule the delivery because the online chat support cant give me a proper answer as to when the branch is delivering my stuff. This isn't the first time they gave issues with delivery for me.

Stay away from these clowns. Will sell you a product online under the impression they do have stock. After taking your money they will inform you they "do not have stock", and you will have to wait up to 2 weeks for stock. If you then insist that you want a refund asap, they will inform you that a refund will also take up to 2 weeks, which is nonsense! They have unethical business practices.

Can I give 6 stars? What a wonderful experience! We needed a new dishwasher and we were shown the options. Our choice was in stock and was delivered, 10 minutes after we arrived home. Both my wife and I don't like to shop at Hirsch's. Too many sales folk and a person cannot just look around without been harassed.
