There was far more to see in this museum than I had expected. There is an astonishing array of the city's wealth of treasures - all beautifully displayed. The building itself is most impressive. The place had some amazing displays. The basement area is probably my favourite. Like everything in Switzerland it is quite expensive. The workers were a little bit creepy the way they followed people around. I am not a gun person but was interested in the collection the rifle had a barrel almost 2 metres long.

Such an amazing experience! We went for the happy hour, it was awesome, definitely going early, paying the ticket and spend more time exploring this beautiful and well presented museum. Not only the objects are amazing, they are set in an incredible atmosphere. 10/10 for sure!

There are tablets that you can get at the kiosk desk inside the museum, that allow tourist who do not speak the language to read about the artifacts and history in their own language. Very helpful we enjoyed the experience so much more because of this feature.
