Andreas has been my father and I's barber for over ten years now; and I have seen him grow a phenomenally successful, welcoming, and quaint business in the heart of Oakville. Anyone that calls Hiz & Hers Hair Studio is greeted with warmth, and is welcomed into the studio with lots of sunlight, smiles, and a real cozy, and professional atmosphere. Andreas and the team are very flexible, hard working, and do everything they can to fit in as many clients as they can; and are very accurate with their queue estimates. They're honest, if things are busy, and always go the extra mile to ensure you fit in. The studio maximizes the space they have, and is bright, functional and very classic in look. Despite no longer living in Canada anymore, my father still visits Andreas every month; and Andreas goes the extra mile to always ensure his schedule has room for me whenever I'm in town for a touch up; be it a wedding, business event, or just to drop in and see him, he is always making time for his clients. Hiz & Hers is always up to date on the latest hair products, and is one of the only shops in Canada that is carrying the full line of Layrite and Kune products, which are prevalent in US-based shops. Our family will never go to another studio; and when I'm in town I will always return to see Andreas. Support local businesses, and one that treats you like a real person, and values both your business, and time.

I have been to this place several times; the staff are friendly, the location is good and clean, the quality of work is good too and the rates are reasonable. The reason I'm giving them one star is because they have absolutely zero respect for appointments. The gentleman who is the owner does not take appointments which is his decision and I don't comment on that. The ladies do accept appointments but it's a joke. It has happened many times that I call even a few days ahead, I make an appointment, I go there either earlier, on time or rarely within 5 to 10 min late and in either case, I realize that someone else has been seated before me and I have to wait between half an hour to a much longer time to be seated. Specifically today, I was told to come back in one and a half hours although I booked an appointment the day before. They also take your phone number upon making appointments but they never bother to call. I have been to other places in the same neighborhood where they value their word...

It was my first time coming here and i had an amazing experience. Ive been in oakville for 3 years and been trying to find a hair dresser, everyone i have gone to has messed up the style of hair cut i asked for. As soon as i walked in i was welcomed with hanging of my coat and a coffee. The lady who cut my hair did a fantastic job and throughout offered me tips on ways to dye it and how to cut it going forward. The fact that someone took the time to do this is amazing. Going forward i will be coming here to get my hair cut and will be telling my friends as well. The atmosphere and friendliness is great and something i have been looking for since i moved here

I've been going to Hiz & Herz almost since they opened (a couple of years ago) and I can't recommend the studio enough. Andreas is very friendly and extremely professional, from my first visit he understood what I wanted in a haircut and he's always got it right. I'm a regular now so I almost don't have to ask him what I want anymore, which is something I really appreciate. The studio is always very clean and you can see they are taking the covid 19 measures very seriously. The price is very competitive too.

Chi is absolutely amazing. I went to a salon on the weekend who really messed up my hair (check out the photo) and went to Chi laughing to keep myself from crying. The only instruction I was able to give was “if I was your daughter sitting here crying saying “mommy fix it” what would you do? And do that… I just don’t want to be embarrassed about my hair”. Omg I did not expect it to turn out as amazing as it did. Chi truly is an artist - experienced, wonderful and professional. She is my “go to” from now on.

I have not seen Andreas in almost four years since I moved to Ireland. However, I was back home in Canada and decided to visit his new location and I have to say, it feels good to have a REALLY GOOD haircut again. I got so many compliments of my haircut the moment I stepped outside his place. Highly recommend. His place is super tidy, clean and very original and "hip." The music in the background is also class ;). The high flow of costumers really does demonstrate how much people enjoy Andreas work.

Amazing!! I loved it!! I came in yesterday to get a full colour rose gold for my brown hair. When I came in, they had already bought the dye and everything was prepped. I was taken in right away and we got straight to the process. There was a slight issue in that there was only enough of the bought hair dye for the top section of my hair and it wasn’t strong enough- it was pinkish-orange, but she mixed some dyes herself and the final effect was beautiful! 10/10!! Will definitely come again :)

I have been getting my Haircut by Andreas for the last 6 years. Initially based in Oakville Place Mall and now having branched out on his own I am extremely happy each and every time I visit his establishment. If you are looking for a quality cut for either yourself or your child (Toddler), I only have positive feedback. Conveniently located at the foot of the Rain Condos's in Oakville with ample parking available, I wouldnt trust anyone else again with my haircut.

My favorite place to have my hair done. Cozy industrial style. Andreas is my barber for many years, way before he opened this, his own business. Beside being very artistic and professional, he is very good person, who you’d love to call friend. Andreas is always on top of newest hair styles technics and care products’ trends. He offers very cool and top-line products from brans like Reuzel. He offers much better deal, than you can buy it on Amazon.

I would have given lower ratings had it not been for the positive personality of the lady barber. Although she was a nice person, she didn't know how to cut hair. I showed her a picture of a buzz fade I wanted but my hair cut was far from that. Wasted $24 here and now I will trim my hair at home. If you're looking for a classy, contemporary and cost effective men's hair cut, look elsewhere. This place would be fine for a family barber.

Have always gone to a good friend of mine for hair cuts, however; due to COVID and the second lockdown, I have not been able to see him. I was in dire need of a helmet scrape, so I took a chance on the barbershop that is in my condo building (Hiz and Herz)... needless to say, Andreas did an amazing job and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
