The Hollywood Sign, perched atop the picturesque hills of Los Angeles, is an iconic symbol known worldwide. Its towering white letters against the backdrop of the Hollywood Hills represent the very heart of the entertainment industry. My visit to the Hollywood Sign was a memorable experience. The journey to the sign offers breathtaking views of Los Angeles, and it's a favorite spot for hikers and photographers. The closer you get to the sign, the more its grandeur becomes apparent. One thing to note is that the Hollywood Sign is quite a distance from the nearest accessible point, and hiking up to it can be strenuous. However, the sense of accomplishment and the panoramic views of the city make it all worth it. There are various hiking trails to choose from, each offering a unique perspective of the sign. For those looking for a more relaxed experience, there are designated viewpoints where you can capture fantastic photos. Griffith Observatory is one such spot, providing a stunning view of the sign with the city sprawling below. In conclusion, the Hollywood Sign is a must-see attraction when visiting Los Angeles. It's a symbol of dreams and aspirations, and being in its presence is a reminder of the magic of the film industry and the allure of Hollywood itself. Whether you hike to it or simply admire it from afar, the Hollywood Sign is an emblem of the city's charm.

The iconic Hollywood sign is a must visit for tourists. It is, however, located on a mountain surrounded by a large residential community, most of whom have no patience, with tourists wandering around their property trying to find their way up or vacant parking spots, and I don't blame them since privacy needs to be respected. Best option is to park at the Hollywood Sign Viewpoint next to Lake Hollywood Park (Google it, and parking is free) and if you'd like to get closer to the sign, take a hike up via Mt. Lee Dr. and Hollywood Sign Vista, which has a trail leading up to the sign for those looking for a bit more adventure.

I give it a 3 star because I wanted to get up close and personal to the sign but it seems u can only see it from certain distances. unless you plan to hike for the day to the top, early in the morning not to mention. It was kinda nice seeing the horizon from many angles. Parking is insane at the peak so come early if u want good parking or you'd have to take a bit of a walk to the area where u can better see the sign. Cool enough u can see the sign as you drive into downtown Hollywood. Short video below

The Hollywood Sign, perched on Mount Lee, is more than just an American cultural icon; it’s a symbol of the dreams and glamour associated with Hollywood’s film industry. Originally created as a real estate advertisement in 1923, it has evolved into a must-see landmark, offering fantastic photo opportunities from places like Griffith Park Observatory. Its enduring presence and frequent appearances in media make it a fascinating piece of Hollywood history and a fun addition to any Los Angeles itinerary.

The Hollywood Sign is one of the most iconic landmarks in LA, so everyone has to take pictures with the sign at the very least. However, I recommend hiking to the top - there are great places to stop along the way for close up pictures with the sign, and then at the top, you can take pictures of the back. Tip: you will cross through residential streets to get there, but don't be alarmed, that is the trail! Just don't ignore any private property signs. @ Sydney

The Hollywood Sign is an iconic landmark located in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, California. It consists of 13 white letters, each approximately 45 feet tall, spelling out the word "Hollywood." Originally constructed in 1923 as an advertisement for a real estate development, the sign has become a symbol of the entertainment industry and the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. It is visible from several parts of the city and attracts millions of visitors each year who come to take photos and experience the allure of this famous landmark.

The address for the Hollywood sign takes you to the Griffith observatory which makes no sense because it’s 20 mins away from the actual sign. Type in GPS “Lake Hollywood park” it will take you directly there. (you welcome) Be careful with parking they ticket you if your within the red line. If this helped make sure to give me a like. It wasn’t overly crowded and we went on a Friday afternoon in Dec.

Suggest that you ask a local or visit a travel website to get the best possible experience. Do you to take a picture of the sign from the road or take a hike? This will take you to a place where you can hike around and get photos from the observatory. I stopped on a side street and took this photo. I think it was sufficient for me without having to take a hike in a crowded place.

Hollywood... so much fame, mystery and intrigue... You have either made it, busy making it or burnt out trying to make it... Then you get us tourist... Life sucks but you just have to tour this place of glitz and glamour. The hollywood tour was well worth the excursion and the guides were very knowledgeable and entertaining. Would love to do the tour again in the future... Summer is the best but can also be very busy... Have fun in Hollywood...

Highly recommended to walk from Innsdale Trail. Use alltrail app to navigate throughout the route since it’s a but confusing. With only 1.7 mi (out & back), you’ll get the closest and best hollywood sign views. Plus, you could continue walking more 1.8 mi to get to the back of hollywood sign with 360 city view of LA and Burbank. Be careful on the parking at Innsdale, it normally get crowded in the afternoon

Cool to see, many of the neighborhood are full with tourists trying to hike and see the sign. We went early from San Diego and it was really really busy even at 8am. Tried to go to the observatory and it was SO packed that we ended up just driving through a neighborhood and finally seeing it. Definitely plan a backup spot or plan to wait a long time for parking to hike.

Impressive views and experience after this long only can saw in on TV or google. It's bit hard to get here especially I drive myself. No public facilities such toilet, you won't spent long here since only seeing the sign and the dam on South

Hollywood sign is the symbol of the revolution of the art and film in 20th century. Everything has got started from exactly this location. It reminds you with all the modernization in music and film industry. The hike is fantastic. You can enjoy the hike and reach to the view point of Los Angeles and the pacific ocean from the top. It is really breathtaking!

The area wasn’t exactly what I was expecting but it was cool seeing the sign. It is quite a drive to the top of the hill though. Parking on the side of the road can be dangerous. Just be careful not to get hit by oncoming cars.

Another check on my bucket list of things to see before I die! This sign is so iconic, I just had to stop by on a road trip LA to San Diego. There are numerous places to see the sign but for me, the best place and easy to access is Lake Hollywood park,

We took the tour at 9am, and it took us 1 hour and 30 min to go from Buena Park to the place where we met with our hiking group.. make sure to plan ahead to avoid delays because of the insane traffic. The hike and the view are very nice

I did not hike till the sign but parked for a relaxing view. Car parking was a challenge, and narrow lanes led to some traffic. Overall, worth the wait. Ensure its a beautiful weather.

The hike is very tiresome, especially if you're coming from the east side of the park, but worth it. What an amazing view! I was lucky enough to see the sunset from the top! Oh what a moment!

The address on Google takes you to Griffith Observatory, so type “Lake Hollywood Park” in your Navigation App. But definitely worth a visit this place, and we had great weather too.
