Been coming here for years… guess their prices went up: I just paid $12 for 1… I repeat… 1 taco, and a side of chips. No guac, just chips. $12. The whole appeal of this place was mediocre but reliable tacos but at a reasonable price. Never again, there are far better tacos for 1/2 the price literally surrounding this place. More

I already visited the Hollywood location so I decided to come to this one and it was really nice I like the outside patio. The food was great and the chips with queso really filled me up. I loved the peach green tea really refreshing. Customer service was great as always and will return again someday. More

Great representation of Texas. We love our flour tortillas and HomeState does it well. Corn is always an option too. Don't share the queso, you'll end up fighting for more. If there's a mistake with your order, let them know and they'll take care of you. Good vibes indoor and outdoor seating! More

Chris and Avery were terribly nice. I came on a Sunday with a friend and we got drinks right away and the service was amazing. Lovely spot with indoor seating but also a spacious patio with tons of seats. Also, there were doggos politely sitting with their humans who were as equally friendly. More

Their brisket and Tijuana Panther tacos are the bomb! Homemade flour tortillas... homemade tortillas! *Chef's kiss $6 bucks per taco is kinda steep but they're delicious and fulfilling! And don't miss on their sides. The crispy potatoes with queso are super yum-my! So eat accordingly

Great tacos always, reasonably priced and definitely satisfying. I always leave happy even though sometimes the lines get long. Good breakfast food, but their other all-day options are also fantastic. I think the brisket is my favorite, I always have to get at least one. More

I am from Texas and was wanting some good breakfast tacos. The bacon, potato, egg, and cheese taco was good but everything else I tasted was not. Queso had some overpowering taste in it almost like I was eating beans. The chorizo was not good. Stick with the basics I guess.

Palomas were very good, some items such as texas toast brisket sandwich and frito pie were very tasty, but others such as picadillo and chicken were under seasoned. Portions are smaller than expected for the price. Service was great, both at the counter and seating areas.

Breakfast is a five star. (so says my Texas friend). Food made fresh on site always a plus. The queso was spot on too. I loved the music. A mix of tunes to move to without getting up to dance. That nice groove in your seat selection. Staff was great. We felt welcomed.

Ordered a couple breakfast tacos and they were so good We ordered more! Loved the Blanco and the Ranchero breakfast tacos and loved the both! The crispy potatoes were good, but a bit oversalted. Loved the vibe. Definitely on the favorites list now. More

Food was surprisingly good. Ambiance was great. The drinks are my absolute favorite it’s very hard to find a place that provides good food, service & drinks but Homestate does just that. Keep up the great work ! I will definitely be going back. More

Good food that is perfect for a casual and quick breakfast. Will run you a bit of if your appetite runs on the large side (or you are with the family). Sweet old alley that has been converted to an outdoor patio to enjoy the wonderful

Their breakfast tacos are to die for, I only wish I knew they offered them all day long! We tried the 3 Migas tacos and this was our first time ordering pick up. Make sure to order flour tortillas with the Migas cuz its just the fillings

So many taco options in LA, it’s really hard to pick a favorite. Having said that, HomeState has the best flour tortilla I’ve had. It’s flavor and soft texture are a nice alternative to the corn tortillas that most vendors use. I usually

Great tasting breakfast tacos. Small seating area inside but a nice outdoor alley type patio. Food is quickly served. Tried the Guadalupe breakfast taco and the brisket taco. Wife got chorizo amigas. We got extra brisket tacos cause they

Really good tacos. Sloppy, greasy and juicy, just the way a local taco shop should be. Not the absolute best LA has to offer, but they are very good, especially for a casual local spot. I stopped into HomeState during my first visit to

Tex Mex original in Highland Park. Step in to a different experience...location perfect to dine in....family oriented. Order chicken tacos...with lemonade..or Margueritas...your choice....top it off with cup drip coffee. Outside patio

My new favorite taco place. The Peco was amazing, the brisket is unmatched. Great place, but limited parking (small lot out back or on the street). Bathrooms are clean and staff was entertaining and friendly! I will be back for sure!

This place is amazing. I recommend getting 1 of each different type of taco to get the full experience. The frozen spicy paloma was A M A A Z I N G. The lil guacamole was extremely little so if you like guacamole go big.

  • M Hernandez

What a fun vibe here! The potato tacos were surprisingly filling and obviously delicious. The lone star Migas are probably the best item on the menu. But the Margarita and Spicy Paloma slushee drinks are tasty too!

Not sure if I could live without this place. The entire menu is amazing. So is the staff and the overall vibe. If I had to pick my favorite part of the menu, it's definitely the breakfast tacos. 10 Thumbs up! More

The friendly, inviting atmosphere is downright home-y. The food is top notch southwestern comfort fare. I like to sip a hot coffee, and if it’s a fun day, some light and refreshing Ranch Water. More

Good Tex-Mex dishes with decent vegetarian and vegan options. The flavours are a bit too on the subtle side; you're not going to get any taste explosions here. Service is quick and fast-food style.

Moist, tightly wrapped tacos with choice ingredients. I tried one chicken and one beef (picadillo), both on flour tortillas. $3.50 each. Full of flavor, nice mix of textures, done perfectly.

The tacos and guacamole and chips was delicious! My husband had the brisket too and all so good! Great service, smiling faces, great atmosphere and good drinks! More

Great place for breakfast tacos! Right now you can enjoy those tacos with a boozy egg nog. So good. Try the queso too you will not be disappointed

One of my favorite places to go to when you need a light bite while on set filming movies and TV Show and recording my album.

Had cowboy tacos and brisket tacos. Excellent. Beer selection is limited, but good brands. Outside patio is nice. More
