Started as a brilliant experience, office staff supportive after being let down but other plumber and then it all went wrong, promised an engineer the next day, but was booked for the day after. When he turned up (2.30pm Thursday), said he didn't have time to do the job (was eventually completed in under 2.5hrs) and said he would come back on Monday. House was completely turned upside down at this point but we stuck with it. Homecure confirmed the appointment for Monday. Monday came and went - no engineer... Chased and was told due to the weather (heavy snow) their jobs were delayed but no one had thought to contact me, so another day of chaos (and no heating in the room that I work from) Was told we were priority for the 1st visit the next day, lunchtime came and went, told engineer at an emergency, then delayed, when he turned up (4pm) he had no idea what the job was, explained it all again, and then he decided he didn't have time to complete the job that day and said he would get it rebooked. Called the office who said he should have stayed and done the job, which was no help to me as he had gone. Rebooked the appointment again, again assured we were priority for 1st appointment - a 3rd enginner turned up in the afternoon, confirmed we were not his first job and he had been given our job during the day (utter chaos) he also had no idea what the job was, so explained again what was needed (we were moving a radiator from one wall to the other, all external copper piping - so a very basic job) and he then informs us he doesn't have the copper pipe required to do the job that day. So we are 2 weeks from xmas, in the middle of decorating and refurbishing our downstairs and everything is being held up by the radiator move, no xmas decs up for my girls and living in chaos. We then have to waiting over another weekend for the 3rd engineer to return and finally finish the job on 22nd December. In the process dirty radiator water is spilt on our carpet and over our new units, and the freshly painted wall was scorched by the blow torch. All in it was an absolutely awful and stressful process. The once helpful and understanding office staff seemed indifferent to the struggles we had experienced and when I reached out asking if I had experienced what they considered to be a satisfactory level of customer service, they had little to say and eventually offered me a 5% discount (£22). I tried speaking to the company director, email was ignored, no calls nothing. They offered a final 10% and threat of debt collectors so I have very reluctantly paid well over the odds for appalling service. Avoid at all costs.

Had a really poor experience with Homecure. Came out to look at a toilet button issue. Was told that a fix was made and it should be good moving forward. Broken within a couple of days (exact same issue as before). Contacted Homecure for a refund. Was refused by email. Followed up to ask again and iterate that they hadn't done anything to fix our issue and then received a phone call from somebody. The aim of the call seemed to be to iterate why I was in the wrong and find different ways to tell me that they wouldn't refund me. Kept cutting me off as I was talking. Even said at one stage "We offered a quick fix so it would break again as it was only a temporary fix", which is an interesting business model. No resolution offered, no offer of a partial refund, no offer for somebody to look at it again. My partner tried to talk to this person as well but again was cut off and the phone call ended with us just giving up and hanging up. Will be going through a complaints procedure. Honestly don't waste your time, much better options out there. **Update** Homecure have replied below. Note how they haven't offered any resolution other than offering a new job and offering a new quote (whilst not offering any resolution to the actual issue). I contacted 7 days after as I hadn't had time up until that point to get in touch and they just so happened to reach out for feedback so I felt it appropriate to respond at that point. Will continue with complaints procedure to get my money back.

Avoid. We called these plumbers out to fix our underfloor heating. They came up with a fixed price for the work which, though it sounded expensive I foolishly agreed to without asking for a break down of the costs. They replaced some parts and got the controls working but the heating still didn't work. I had my doubts and checked the cost of the parts they ordered. Unless their rate was £200+ an hour there was no way the cost of the job could add up to what they quoted even including the initial call out fee. I lost trust in them, didn't ask them to come back, and finished the job myself. I was worried they'd charge us even more. Also what was left to do was so basic it almost looked like they'd left the job unfinished so they'd have to come back. I asked them for an itemised invoice. I had every intention of paying their bill, but wanted some reassurance that I wasn't being ripped off. Instead I got a phone call one night from someone accusing me of causing a fuss to try and reduce my bill. At no point did I ask for a discount, I just questioned their work, their quote and wanted an itemised bill. I have paid them, because I stupidly agreed to their fixed quote at the outset. If you choose to use them, make sure you get a detailed quote before agreeing to anything. However, I don't trust this company and suggest you don't either.

We have an unusual boiler, totally understand that not all engineers know it and it wasn't going to be an easy one. Perhaps I'm a little annoyed that my boiler isn't fixed after waiting quite some time parts and access but again, that is acceptable and not my complaint. My frustration is in the lack of response from the engineer, rarely did i get a response, when i did the information wasn't helpful. I'm currently on my third ignored message. I found myself having to chase the office a lot too, they were nice but they would then need to chase the engineer for answers and rarely were they able to get the answers i needed. I've wasted almost two weeks, the issues couldn't be fixed and the engineer is unwilling to share the info i need to get this fixed now via the new company i'm working with, so basically starting from scratch. They agreed not to charge for the labor and I am grateful for this but I just want the boiler fixed so i can get my tenants moved in. I'm not unreasonable, sometimes things can't be fixed but I think responding to a client is common courtesy and my single requirement as a consumer.

Such a waste of time! They seem pretty messed up on the management side. We made the first appointment, was given a two hours window at noon, the plumber was 1.5 hrs late without anyone informing us when he would turn up so we just waited. When the plumber eventually came, he seemed professional and diagnosed the problem quickly. He called the receptionist to make another appointment to fix the problem, we literally heard him confirming with the receptionist if he'd be free between 8am-10am on this particular day. However, he was more than 1 hour late again on the day of the appointment. We called the receptionists three times asking about when we could realistically expect the plumber to come, got the answer "we will call you back in 10 mins" 3 times without any further details or a call-back after 10 mins. We ended up cancelling the work as it is unacceptable service. Two stars for not charging for the call-out and the fact that the plumber seemed professional enough.

I was completely fleeced by this company. I phoned Homecure to explain that 2 valves under my boiler were leaking and needed to be replaced. The plumber arrived 2 hours late and charged me £70 on the spot to tell me exactly what I’d already told them. He then phoned the head office and advised it would cost £350+Vat to undertake these simple repairs which would take less than an hour. I phoned another plumber and they came on the same day and fixed the problem in 30 mins for £120+vat. The Homecure plumber was in my house for less than 5 mins a proportion of which was spent on a personal call. A truly appalling customer experience from Homecure and would never use again. (Note: prior to writing this review I phoned Homecure and gave them a chance to consider their performance and was advised the manager would call me back. However this did not happen and I am still awaiting a response).

We decided to call Homecure last week regarding our boiler after looking at a few different plumbing companies in the directories. First impressions were very good, we spoke to a lovely lady over the phone who was able to book us in with a boiler plumber the very next day at 8 o’clock in the morning. The next morning when the plumber arrived (Lee), I explained what had been happening with the boiler and what noises it had been making. He was very patient and knowledgeable and talked me through some possible issues eventually finding the actual problem. The plumber called to find out if the part needed was in stock and indeed it was. Within 2 hours of Lee arriving my boiler was repaired and that included the time it took to go and get the part it needed. I am very happy to have found a reliable local company and would highly recommend Lee and Homecure Plumbers to others.

We used Homecure Plumbers (with my partner Mr Henricson that would be the one of file) for the repair of our bath tap. They fitted a brand new plug which broke 6 months after they fitted it. A really poor costumer service on their end, not responsive, and inflexible on the 6 months guarantee (even though you would hope a new plug would last 6 months!). But regardless of the faulty part they installed, they were dismissive, unresponsive, and just did not want to come back. Their plumber was quick to mention we should just replace everything with brand new appliances. Glad we didn't with the tap as they other part was such cheap material it broke after 6 months of very little use. Overall disappointed. The plumber was very kind and polite himself. Just not good quality materials used and very poor costumer care.

Don’t use! Total rip off and shocking service. They charged me over £1000 and the shower still wasn’t working. The plumber wouldn’t leave my house until I paid. He didn’t say how he would mend it but just took all my money. I am now in debt. I then chased the company to come and finish the job since I had paid all this money. They refused to return my calls. It took a week for someone to call me back. They have said they will charge another £1000 to install a pump. I have since found another plumber through recommendation and he will charge £150. I used this company because I read the reviews and thought they would be reputable. They are totally not. Would not recommend to anyone and will report them to trading standards.

Very helpful, reassuring and professional Our old boiler reached the end of its life and we contacted Homecure Plumbers to have a look. It was the start of the Lockdown and we thought it would take some time but Lee pulled out all the stops to come and have a look at our boiler. They did a visual survey and asked if they can do a bit more investigation. They explained everything that is needed and helped us to decide on a new Boiler. Post that, they laid out our options and Lee got us up and running very efficiently! The engineer who came for the installation was helpful, professional and reassuring. happy to recommend them to anyone. We also used them to automate our heating!!

Got a boiler installed with them for £3000. I got british gas to come have a look at it and see what's wrong with it because Homecure themselves after installing it couldn't tell what was wrong and why pressure was dropping. They installed it without flushing/draining old water, they did it apparently too quickly according to British Gas and they didn't replace pipes that 100% needed replacing (for £3k I pretty much got ripped off). Also when they came to check why the pressure kept dropping, all they did was replace a valve and tell me off for something. I live alone and have no experience with boilers/plumbing in general. Avoid if possible - total rip off.

Excellent quality service and value for money. I can not recommend Homecure Plumbers enough! I have used their services to fix my boiler and they have been able to come out to make repairs very quickly, given me very good advice and very fair pricing. They plumbers have always been very professional and friendly and I have always had friendly service over the phone. When it came time to replace my boiler I did not hesitate to call Homecure Plumbers. Again, the service was excellent and the pricing very fair. I will continue to use them for my annual boiler service and any other plumbing and heating needs.

If I'm honest I thought that the reviews were too good to be true but thought I'd take a chance with these guys anyway. All the sinks in my home were blocked and not draining including the washing machine. I called them up for a next day visit and they were super efficient and upfront about costs as well which I really appreciate after being ripped off by plumbers in the past. Their plumber came out today and completely cleared out all the drains in less than hour. He was pleasant and professional the whole time and gave me a fixed quote. So so glad I found this company :) would 10/10 would recommend.

Very expensive company be warned about their costs! I was recently charged £252 to fix a dripping Triton shower head mixer replacing a faulty pressure valve. Checked online and the Triton valve cost £24 and the new knob the plumber also fitted costs £12 for one. The plumber took under 2 hours including going to buy the parts so that is £108 per hour charged which is way above the £52 call out plus parts, plus reasonable extra time I was expecting to pay. Wrote to Homecure to complain, no response 10 days later. I do not recommend this company for small jobs, find someone who won't overcharge you.

I had a boiler service booked for 9-12 on Wednesday, no one came, called the customer service, to be informed that the engineer is on sick leave, but will get another engineer to mine between 3 and 3.30pm Rearranged for the same time on Thursday and again no one came, called the customer service, to be told the engineer is stuck on a previous job. Giving them another chance I arranged for the same time for Friday...guess what happened... again no one came and got a call from an engineer at 12.45pm saying he's had car troubles. Just not acceptable and recommend to avoid them at all cost!

I was happy enough with the service so no comments really there. This was my first booking with Homecure and I chose them on the basis of 'knowing what the price would be', however the 'fixed price' offered on their website is somewhat misleading as it does not state that the price is per half hour (I had wrongly assumed that this was a per hour figure). My call lasted 45min and I was charged pro-rata. I would advise confirming costs prior to booking. 3 stars because although I was not happy with the price not being made clear up front, I failed to check this adequately myself.

Bunch of unprofessionals doing a job that they shouldn't be. Very quick to take diagnostic charges, then they let you keep following up on the work that is their responsibility. The receptionist has no idea about the schedule of the plumber and the plumber has no time to respond to customer calls. Avoid them if possible, there are many professional plumbing agencies out there.. home cure is good max for tap installation or washer changes... Beyond this they fool their customers and give no heed on others valuable time. Wish there was an option to give 0 rating.

I woke up to no heating or hot water...in winter! The boiler had no pressure and was showing an error code. I Googled local plumbers and came across Homecure Plumbers website. I called them and made an appointment for that day. The engineer came round and found the issue. I was given a quote which I accepted and he went about fixing the issue. The engineer was polite, informative and efficient. I went from a stressful situation to having no hot water and heating back on within a couple of hours. Will definitely be using Homecure again in the future.

Charged me £59 for fitting, and £126 for 'materials'. The 'materials' was a kitchen tap valve worth about £10-15. Can't recommend using any company happy to overcharge by so much. Edit : following on from their reply - they were here for just over 30 minutes, not the 2 hours they've said. The plumber they sent told me it was £59 for 45 minutes + materials. Meaning they've tried to charge me £126 for the valve and hoped I wouldn't notice. They have massively padded the bill, and are now lying rather than admitting that they've been caught out.

Terribly expensive! I booked in the plumber between 8 and 12 am by phone call, but he did not show up for checking the water leaking problem till 15:15. They never explained why. Next day morning about 10am, during the 2.5 hours work, a new Caleffi Multibloc (Cold) Water Control Valve 3 – 6 Bar was replaced, which cost me 400 + VAT!!! I hope his work deserves this price, he even could not tell me how long this would last. Frankly, I will not use them again unless the same problem comes back within the 100 days they guarantee.

I needed someone to come out and fix my boiler urgently, called this company - booked appointment for the next day, had to take a day off from work - I called them to see where they were as they were going over the expected time of arrival. When I called, the woman on the phone tells me I don't even have a booking (I spoke to her the day before) - spoke to me like I'm imagining things, no apology, nothing - instead tells me I must of booked with some one else! - glad they didn't come, everything happens for a good reason.

Our boiler stopped working late on Saturday, only Homecures engineer was available at short-notice and came within the hour. It wasn’t possible to fix the boiler as parts were no longer available (boiler was 20 odd years old) Jack quoted for a new boiler which was very reasonable and confirmed. We arranged the installation for the next working day. The team returned as scheduled and did an excellent job. House was left clean and tidy, new boiler is fantastic with a 7 year guarantee. I can’t recommend Homecure enough. --

This is a scam. Do NOT use this scammer company. My boiler didn't allow heating, after their visit, not only did I not have heating but hot water stopped running (which was perfectly fine before!). The lady on the phone tells me one price after hearing what my problem is - no heating on gas boiler. The guy comes in tells completely different inflated price. After not agreeing to the new price, they break parts which were perfectly fine before. I called them to clarify - they hang up the phone on me. Shameless scammers

Plumber booked day before for a leaking radiator but didn't turn up in the alloted time slot. When I rang to enquire where they where was told they had double booked due to a system failure and would call me back in an hour with details of another plumber who would definitely come that afternoon. After no call back after an hour and a half, I rang again and was told they now had "no availability" in my area. Clearly their phones, manners and customer service had failed along with their "system". Waste of time.

I called to ask for a free quotation. The lady answering my call said they do not offer free quotations on the installation of bathroom basins…even though it clearly state on their website that the give FREE ESTIMATES and QUOTATIONS. There is to caveat attached to that. I am not contracting with a company whom you have to pay to decide if you wish to use them, even if the call-out is deducted from subsequent work. That is NOT free. If a website of a business false representations, then it’s a non-starter.

These guys are great. Very knowledgable, know how to solve a problem and get things done. We had called in a different local plumber at first who took one look at our system and said he couldn't do anything and that our whole system needed replacing. We then called Homecure plumbers for a second opinion and I would say the engineer was there around 20 minutes and had found the route of the problem. Parts were ordered and everything running like clockwork the very next day. Very pleased :)

We’ve used Homecure plumbers for over ten years now. Excellent service every single time. Their professional team have investigated and fixed a range of problems for us, including a massive leak from the flat above, toilet waste pipes damaged by london critters, faulty toilet flushes. We’ve also used them twice for checks before moving homes on plumbing and drains. Straightforward pricing, lovely staff. Never experienced a problem they haven’t been able to sort out. Highly recommended.

We booked an appointment with a plumber in order to replace a pipe. Indeed, our sink was leaking, but the plumber did not want to listen to us and wanted to use a machine to pump and extra charge us for £150 (+£59/70). We tried to explain the issue again but the “plumber” did not want to listen us and left saying that he has other appointments and does not to loose time... unprofessional We are appalled by this commercial strategy, it is not acceptable. Such an unpleasant experience.

My megaflo water heater seemed to be overflowing into the garden. Kevin diagnosed the problem (which was actually a central heating problem) and fixed it brilliantly. Ben came the next day when we could not get hot water to the top floor, and discovered where we had an airlock, and released it. Very grateful to all concerned and to HomeCure for acting fast both times. It is great to feel you are in the hands of professionals who are good at both diagnosing and fixing problems.

What a fantastic, friendly and professional service. Very impressed overall. Called Homecure Monday morning and had a new boiler installed and working by Tuesday afternoon. Very courteous, respectful and helpful. Insisted on taking their shoes off when they came in the house and made special preparations to fully protect the carpet when working. This team were called over Christmas almost 2 years ago to fix a heating issue with our boiler. We ended up replacing the faulty pressure sensor which was apparently the problem. Now our boiler seems to be having a sensor issue yet again which shuts the heating off when it's on a timer. So we wake up to a cold house. I am more than happy to pay premium rates for a job well done. This though, hasn't been one. Won't be using them again.

We use Homecure Services to re-arrange our kitchen pipework. They are a brilliant and amazing company. Kevin sorted out all the problems, and we were extremely impressed. They were professional, knowledgeable, courteous and tidy, perfect in all the ways. Charges also were very reasonable and fair. It's been dealt with far better than we expected, we cannot recommend highly enough and we will definitely use them in the future.

Avoid at all cost! Deceitful, exploitative, misleading and extortionate. I was charged £195 plus VAT for two 5 minute visits to diagnose and replace a plastic valve. I foolishly agreed to the repair when I was advised it would take an hour. Even in dispute, with the promise of looking at the costs, I settled their invoice. My mistake. Very disappointed. Couldn't possibly recommend as they are not the least bit trustworthy.

We had a leaky boiler. The engineer came very shortly after I had called and was able to diagnose the problem. He left to get the part that was needed and returned to fix it all in a short period of time. The engineer was friendly but professional. Was really impressed from the call at the beginning to the finish fixture at the end. I hope we won't need to - but will definitely use this company again if I do.

We needed someone to fix the heating - boiler quickly. Our tenants needed heat and water. Homecure Plumbers answered our telephone call in a professional way. The engineer came on time and fixed the problem quickly. He was very polite and took an interest in the job. (most don't) The price charged was fair and reasonable. I would use them again. Homecure removed and blocked off a gas pipe to an old fireplace. They tested the gas system for correct pressure and properly ensured the system was in a good state after the works were complete. Was charged £570 to create a temporary fix to the hot water system. Was told that I need a new three channel timer for a permanent fix. I agreed to proceed and have requested a quote for the works more than a dozen times in the last 3 weeks but received nothing. They are not interested in fixing the issue and I’m forced to look elsewhere.

Shell in the office was very pleasant, helpful and managed to book us in for a gas safety certificate at short notice. I was given a phone call to confirm when the plumber would arrive, which he did on time. Very polite and courteous and completed what was required without any delay. Really professional service - our plumber was able to fix the problem and was also able to save us a costly repair by finding a clever solution to our problem. He could very easily have just done the expensive repair and charged us, but I really liked his honesty and professionalism and therefore I would definitely book them again.

They are reliable. They turned up after another company failed to have a plumber coming. Stewart their plumber a nice guy but a little bit more expensive that I was expecting for changing a toilet mixer and valve, higher by about 100 pounds. I will recommend them when is an emergency but check well the prices before.

David arrived on time. Found and fixed a leak in ten minutes. Charged less than other plumbers! (previously misdiagnosed as faulty valve by someone else!) also cured air block. Very courteous and kind and knowledgeable Will definitely use to install new boiler or any other plumbing issues.
