I was a student who went to McDonogh 15 as a child, before and after Katrina, though I know the historical importance of the Plessy school's name I feel it important to note that the new school building the school has been moved in to has historical importance as it was built before the civil war, as a history buff I would like to hope that the building itself will not go through any physical outside change because of the historical significance. And if outside physical changes are made I will petition for them to be reversed as to keep the historical school alive, many of John McDonogh's school have already been changed and I feel like 15 should be the one too keep the way it is as it is in the historical French Quarter.

Homer Plessy is a wonderful place, full of dedicated teachers, of music, are, and learning. The French Quarter location is perfect for the arts-integrated, community-oriented philosophy of the school. My kids love it!
