Wow. I've used these guys before and was happy with their work, so I decided to call them to install a powerlock (bluetooth, etc.). Called ahead, gave them info on the lock, brand, model, etc...the answer was "no problem". Well, after an hour, the locksmith became frustrated, decided that he had had enough and said he would not finish the installation. Since he said the lock was on the door and "working" he had done his job. Well...it won't turn even with the KEY (and it's keyless--kind of ruins the point of installing something keyless, but I guess that's beyond the point). The real issue I had was the ATTITUDE and LACK of customer service. I would have understood if he had said he needed to check with someone, or come back or something...but NO. He was done, it was now my problem, my issue to deal with. So, lock on the door that DOESN'T work and I'm having to call another locksmith. Furthermore, called another locksmith, and he discovered that the hole they bored through my SOLID WOOD door was 1/4 higher on one side than the other--hence all the problems! Honestly, shocking level of service and poor quality work. I have never had someone just "give up" and walk off the job. I would have paid for the extra time he was taking--it wasn't about the money. And the cherry on the cake? When I called over to the locksmith there is nothing they can do since the "boss man" is gone for the day (at 2 pm). Really, just a shame that you try to support a local business and they fail you! Never again. AVOID them... They basically ruined my door and then left me to try to fix it!

I always used this place in the past and had good experiences. It has gone down hill. Only one employee knows what he is doing and if you are not helped by him then you are SOL. Rest of staff are lazy untrained and could care less. I wanted to shop local and give a small business MY business instead I got the run around. After waiting 2 weeks for a keyless entry for my car to be order and being misplaced I was told it was located only to waste more time for a untrained employee to tell me that it could not be programmed ( after I sat there for 30 min while he went to my car started it moved the set and left it unlocked without even asking or telling me that he was doing it) Also while waiting he had to stop to show the 3 other employees how to use the CASH REGISTER!!!!! So I waited 3 weeks made 4 trips to the store and waited in the store over a hour to get NOTHING not even a apology . I am pretty easy going and if the employee did not know how to program the key I would have been happy to return when the ONLY employee that knows how to program it was working. When I told the guy that said the key could not be program I explained that it was a special order for my car by Hosse and Hosse . He then said that the employee who ordered the key "could do it" . Rude Lazy and didnt care that he wasted my time.

My husband tried to resolve this issue with owner of Hosse Hosse but after MANY attempts to get problem with lock resolved owner said “you’re trying to make your problem my problem” Well, you Hosse & Hosse, created my problem!! I hired a reputable locksmith, and when we were finally able to get door opened, he determined there was no problem with the lock or tumbler. The problem occurred when the door was reassembled incorrectly, putting stress on latch and door frame such that it would not open. The brass plate goes over the black plate of the door not vise versa as YOUR guy installed. Products rarely work properly when not installed correctly!!!! I would never recommend Hosse & Hosse!!!!!

Been to Hosse & Hosse once or twice before. They've always been quick and nice. Today, I went in to have two mailbox keys cut—$2 per key plus tax would be $4.36. The gentleman who worked with me was quick and nice but he informed me that he could not accept a debit card for transactions under $5. An older guy working there (I believe he's the manager/owner) said "Charge him $5 plus tax." I asked the older guy if the $5 could include the tax. He said, "No, $5 plus tax. Are you ok with that?" Not feeling the extra $1.10 was worth the trip to a new place, I rolled with it. Moral of the story—come with cash or go some place else.

I manage an older church building and needed all exterior locks re-keyed. David Johnston lead the charge and, what I thought would be a nightmare job, was done quickly and extremely well. He went above and beyond to make sure every key worked, every door opened easily. and even made some suggestions about ways to make the building secure with fewer keys. He did all this for the amount that was quoted, even though some of our antique door hardware was a challenge to work with. I was terribly impressed with David, T.J. , and Taylor, the quality of the work, and the price. Hosse and Hosse... 'nuff said!

Locksmithing ain't what it used to be. These guys know security and they know locks. Their new shop is awesome, so much history of Nashville and of their business. A fellow locksmith suggested that I get Hosse & Hosse to make my car keys. Of all the places I called these guys were honest and the prices and process was much better than the dealer. The process took a while, but I enjoyed talking to the other employees and the customers as I waited. These guys are great.

The best customer service I have received in a very long time! I needed a specific key copied and had called around to several locksmiths in the area. Each one tried to rip me off for something that is specific, yet simple. Hosse and Hosse saved me a great deal of money, time, and headache. These guys are seriously the best! Top notch!! I drive out of my way and pass other lock smiths to go to these guys. They’ve now helped me a couple times to solve problems with my locks. I'm an independent locksmith that came in for a few hard to find items a few times. The employees were incredibly nice however the owner is a different story. He mocked me for being an independent locksmith even though I'm not any competition to them and make fun of me in front of customers. Up to this point i enjoyed their services despite being the most expensive locksmith in the area. Never going back.

I needed a duplicate key made but didn't have cash for the 2 item, and their card machine can't charge for less than $6. At first I told the guy I'd be right back with some cash, so he said he'd just cut the key. Bing. Bang. Boom. It's done. Then he says it's on the house. Damn. That's customer service. After scouring the greater Nashville area to have keys copied for my business with no success, I found Hosse & Hosse. They had everything I needed and couldn't find anywhere else. Damian (the good looking guy with tattoos) was so kind and accommodating and completely made my day. (Seriously, he's a gem.) I brought them one of the two locks on my electric bicycle it was one key to begin with and I lost the key they made it work and when I brought only one lock with me the other one didn't work when I got home so I took it back and then they both work for no extra charge heck of a good group of guys quality professional ran Place highly recommended five stars

They do and sell everything locks and safes. I go here to get keys cut and copied. They have always worked. They change the batteries in my car remote. They sell car remotes and can program many. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are very comparably low. I love this family owned and run business.

Went to every store in Davidson County to get a replacement key made for my trailer and no place could do it. Then I was sent here. Not only did they do what others called impossible, they did it a smile. The prices were so good that I had them to make me 3 more of the key for good measure. Keep up the great work!

I was having issues with my antique front door knob falling off, and wanted to avoid slapping a brand new knob on a 100 year old door. Hosse & Hosse came out, on time, and not only fixed it, but found antique replacement parts that matched my door better than the original. Great eye for detail! Highly recommend!

While driving on the interstate one of your drivers brake checked me, almost causing collision. I was accelerating clearly in HOV lane, while your driver decides to cut in front of me and proceeded to slam his brakes. Upon getting beside the man, he demanded me to pull over. This is highly unprofessional.
