I wouldn't bother. I waited 4 hours. Once they managed to arrive the doctor barely listened to me when I tried to tell him my symptoms. He barely inspected me and diagnosed me (incorrectly). When I tried expressing my concerns, he said it's possible it could be an infection and when I tried to get more information from him, he simply said to Google it and find out... I just think that's an astounding response from a doctor. It seemed the more I tried to ask him questions to understand (call me melodramatic, but an infection for me, of any sort, is alarming), the more he became exasperated and told me it's probably not even an infection so there's no point in asking about it, just to take the antibiotics that he gave me (which he said would treat the pimple- if it was a pimple- but not the potential infection). I tried to find out from him whether if it was an infection, what to symptoms expect and length of recovery and he said there's no use even discussing it because we don't know if it's the infection. I'm not a doctor- not by a long shot. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it's a good idea to not only disregard a client and not listen to them, but also plant a seed in their mind that their being unwell could be something much worse than they expected, and then refuse to even discuss it, instead choosing to just leave your client in distress. I managed to go to a different doctor the following day after work and she was wonderful, spoke to me about it, informed me that it was in fact an infection and that it was very lucky that I had come to get a second opinion because the infection was highly contagious and I was unwillingly spreading it and making it worse for myself. Thanks to the second doctor, I'm actually steadily on the mend.

Incompetent, and a waste of time from start to finish. I called these people, left them a glowing review here, but it turned out another company send that great doctor who saw me that Saturday night (for whom I LEFT A GREAT REVIEW HERE BY MISTAKE) because in my stressful state I rang another after hours doctors. This doctor actually rang me the NEXT day which was a Sunday morning, telling me he was on his way and told me he was on his way, and would be about 45 minutes. I asked 'who, what? I already had someone come over'. There was a misunderstanding for a while, with me thinking it was them who came last night. It wasn't. He was rather annoyed I didn't ring to let them know I was already seen by someone . I apologised, telling there was some confusion, but really it was them who should have apologised to me, for telling me they would see me that night, and ring before they did. Because they not only never came that night, the also never rang to tell me that they were not coming. Avoid like the plague - dishonest, unreliable, and unprofessional. Do NOT wait for these people. Go to another after hour doctor, go to the hospital, and if you can't - ring an ambulance. Your life is too short, and your health too precious, to leave in the hands of these unreliable and unprofessional buffoons!

Pretty average experience. But, I got some scripts and didn't have to leave the house. First time using home Dr so don't know what else to expect. Looked in my throat for a second. Didn't take my temperature, or blood pressure, just checked heart rate. Didn't seem interested in informing me of anything. Also didn't really listen to the abnormally of my symptom onset. Just prescribed me antibiotics, felt very mechanical and routine. Clearly someone who isn't loving what he's doing. Maybe it's just a roll of the dive who you get come out. I think the main thing for me was the lack of updates/expectations management. It's really not hard to keep people updated. I waited over 4 hours for the Dr to show up, I was told 90 minutes. And when I called repeatedly to check, I was told he was on the way. Had a couple of patients to see before me... Still took 2 hours to arrive. Hard to believe considering my consult was less than 5 minutes. Anyway, a good concept, I hope one day a company can do this right and provide a good service. A few simple changes would make a big difference. 1. Update waiting customers regularly. 2. Don't get your doctor's from the bottom of the barrel 3. Define a better engagement process 4. Manage customer expectations Good luck!

Booked my appointment at 7pm. The lady on the phone was nice and very helpful. After an hour and a half, the doctor called and told me that he will arrive in a few minutes. He just needs to go to another patient's house. I called the doctor after 30min and asked him where he is and he said "I will call you when I am on my way." I waited.... the doctor decided to show up at 11pm. I live in an apartment bldg so I waited for the doctor in the lobby as he cannot go up to my unit without the key scanner. I was waiting in the lobby for another 15min and he asked me if it's ok if we could just stay there as he needs to go see another patient. I said ok. He got my temperature, gave me a medical certificate and told me to take Panadol and see another doctor if I feel worse. That's it. That's the service I got! I was very impressed by the fact that a "doctor" with that kind of work ethic actually exists. Please message me so I can provide the "doctor's" details as I personally think that he is not fit to look after sick people especially kids and elders. I actually thought he is competing for The Amazing Race cos he was such in a rush! I would still use the service though as I am very busy and I still believe there are better doctors out there.

I've just waited 4 hours in chronic pain, called after 2 hours was told there was a couple in front of me. Called again in another 2 hours to be told the doctor has been called to an emergency and there won't be a doctor getting to me tonight. To make it worse they said they had tried to call Me, yet the number they had was not the number I had given or the number that shows up on there system when I called the first and second time as they confirmed my phone number! Alternative, send out a doctor in the morning.. I'm a single mum in chronic pain and unable to get to a doctors and had a young child in bed. I'd I was told I'd wait for hours then not have a doctor turn up at all I would of gotten my young out of bed and into a taxi to a hospital.. Extremely poor service, do not recommend if your in pain or have something serious going on.. And if your a smoker, don't even bother telling the operator that, all she did was spend 5 minutes judging and belittling me because Iam a smoker, the way she spoke down to me and told me well you smoke your bound to get infections....not a friendly service at all when my problem has nothing at all to do with me being a smoker or not judgemental people like her shouldn't be in such a roll

Absolutely appalling service by the attending Indian Doctor. From the moment he slammed on the door and rudely said what's wrong. I recently had major stomach surgery which required 25 staples. I was advised by Surgeons to have the dressing changed every 3 to 4 days or if the wound had become wet or any other complication. I wasn't able to manage the task and do not have someone to help me. I explained this to the House Call Doctor, who told me they were wrong and he was a surgeon and to leave it. I told him there was water in the dressing and he was still rolling his eyes and flailing his arms like he didn't want to be there Made me feel like I had wasted his time. Finaly had enough of his agitated and rude behavior. I told him to leave. I told House Call Doctor the particulars of my needs, so if that wasn't a call situation, then why waste my time. I feel angry and frustrated the way I was treated and to think Medicare is paying a person who has absolutely no bedside manner and is whining about the patients needs. Can't believe I had to evict a Doctor from my house because he treated me like time waster in my own home. God help the poor person he insults today.

Do not use this company. The doctor (?) who turned up looked like a homeless person. When he rang to tell me how long he would be, he said to have my Medicare card ready. When he arrived, his greeting was " I need your Medicare card". In the less than 3 minutes that he was here, he asked for the Medicare card a further 3 times even though it was on the table next to his phone. His examination of my husband was farcical. A ten second check for stroke but didn't bother checking his leg for a pulse even though I told him bad circulation was a constant problem. He watched my husband walk and because he could walk with the aid of a walker, the fact that my husband didn't need to use his walker inside until that day didn't worry him. He couldn't wait to get out the door after he had scanned the Medicare card and I couldn't wait for him to leave. A bloody disgrace. If I hadn't seen it myself, I would not have believed it. If you value your health, stay away from this company. They possibly do have some decent doctors but I won't have them in my house again.

I'm a pharmacist and am disgusted at the ineptitude of doctors working for you. I had a patient's father come into the pharmacy today with a script for Ritalin that was missing several essential details for an S8 prescription, there was no way I could dispense it lawfully. Luckily he was very understanding that it was beyond my control, because when I called House Call Doctor they advised me the doctor wouldn't get back to me to rectify it until tomorrow! The father called you again and got another doctor to come out to see his son and rewrite the prescription, while this one was more correct it still didn't completely satisfy legislative requirements. I suggest you train all of your doctors on the basics of prescribing (which is what doctors should be able to do anyway!) so that other pharmacists and patients aren't forced to chase them up for issues that shouldn't be happening in the first place. May I also suggest including a pager number or similar on each doctor's prescription pad so these kinds of issues can be resolved in a more timely manner.

I called this doctor service because the other one I use was extremely busy. Well, after yesterday, I would've rather waited for hours than have an inexperienced and non-chalant doctor rock up. My complaints.... 1. No phone call to let me know how far away the doctor was. (I was sound asleep when the doctor showed up) 2. I hated the fact that before I saw the doctor, some guy (assuming the driver?) comes marching into my house to get me to sign the Medicare form. 3. The doctor didn't care, didn't take his time, barely asked any questions. Scribbled me a script and left. On another note, when I called to book the doctor, the lady on the end of the line was asking me too many questions. One of them was why I chose the service and other stupid questions. I was so terribly sick that the last thing I wanted to do was answer a bunch of questions, I just wanted a doctor. I will never use this service again. The service I usually use is so much more professional and the doctors actually care. Home care doctors are truly disappointing.

From the very 1st call, the costumer service didn't show kindness. She talked like a machine without any expression or concern. The doctor did come fast but he didn't show kind gesture to us at all. No smile, everything he did was such in hurry and cold as if we are an object or animal. I've never seen a doctor with that kind of attitude. If I can say it as if I meet with a vampire who has no heart at all for sick people. He came just for the sake of coming, I know he is still very young bloke but I've seen a good young bloke with so much better attitude. My husband normally is a quite person, but he is the one who asked me to type a review for this. He said we also have asian background and understand that asian tends to be in the rush, but that kind of attitude of a doctor is not acceptable. Even when our young son said bye, he didn't moved or smile at all. We said thank you and no respond. Came and gone like a wind. We also human, I think a smile won't hurt anyone.

I booked a home doctor for my partner who's temperature was 39.4. He was feeling sick and I didn't want to put him in the car on a Friday night and go to a GP who was open late. Basically, whilst waiting for the doctor, I read the reviews and started to panic. I agree with comments about the driver who just wants your medicare card, he took the card, did what he did and left. But it didn't really bother me because after reading reviews I knew what to expect. My only issue was that I called at 5:15pm, the person on the on the phone didn't tell me the service starts at 6pm. The doctor we got was pretty good. He was here for about 10 minutes, after my partner told him the symptoms, the diagnosis was 'the flu'. We were told to take panadol then he just let himself out. But if he's not feeling better in the morning, I'll get a second opinion. I would try them again if I'm too sick to get myself to a GP after hours. Hope my review helps.

I’m almost convinced this is a scam. I booked a telehealth appointment. They called me shortly after to take payment over the phone with my credit card. Said my appointment was booked. Doctor called from a “no caller id” number 3 hours after booking. When I answered I had to ask who I was speaking to. He did not introduce himself - I didn’t know if it was a spam caller. Doctor sounded drunk. He said he would send me an eScript to my mobile. I waited an hour. No script arrived. I called. Couldn’t get through. They said to email. I emailed. No response. Called again. They said to give my number so they could SMS me a contact form. I contacted them through that and asked for the script. It never came through. I never even got a response to my messages. It’s been over 18 hours since my “doctors” appointment and still no script. It left me at risk of needing to go to hospital to get treatment. Intensely frustrating.

Spent 25 + minutes on the phone to a “Dr Altamimi” - regarding sever breakthrough period pain, requiring analgesia, explained an extremely thorough medical history; named GPS, specialists, Upcoming appointment dates and detailed management plan, along with offering downloads of script history, copies of consult notes and referrals to prove legitimacy of the medical issue at hand. (I Was a medical practice manager for 7 years, so I have a great understanding of medications and medico-Legal obligations) this appalling excuse for a doctor “prescribed” BUSCOPAN. This can be purchased from a supermarket. When I told him that he wasted 30 minutes of BOTH of our time, he became abhorrently rude, told me he was too busy to bother with me, refused to give me his name and literally HUNG up the phone. I don’t know what was worse, the mis-diagnosis or the deplorable attitude. AVOID this joker at all costs.

I rang this morning about seeing a doctor, dr Ram did not visit just rang and asked a few questions and sent me 8 repeats for an antibiotic. I submitted the prescription to be sent to Terry white and they closed at 3pm, I mentioned when submitting it was urgent as I have an infection that is spreading. I tried to call the admin number for nearly an hour with no one answering. I now have to go sit for hours in an ER to see another doctor and get antibiotics before it spreads to my blood steam. I will be making a formal complaint and contacting Medicare to explain no dr service was provided and do not pay the Medicare charge. What kind of scrupulous doctors do you have working for you that he gives 8 repeats of antibiotics without even seeing a patient. This is why our healthcare system is deteriorating in this country. Due to these doctors.

Called last night because our baby was unwell. Not hospital unwell, but did need to be seen and 13health confirmed this. At booking we were told that a doctor would be in contact soon. Two hours later we received a text saying that they were too busy to come in person but that we'd been put on the waiting list for a telehealth consult. We'd already had a telehealth type consult with 13health, which is why we booked! Thank Christ our baby was improving a bit at that point and not getting worse! Seriously, don't bother even trying with these people. Hilariously I had the following exchange with the booking person who may have been overseas: BP: how much pain would you say she's in? Me: well she's actually asleep. BP: so how much pain? Me: she wouldn't be asleep if she we're in pain. BP: how much pain? Me, exasperated: none. Sigh.

For starters I wouldn't even think of giving a 1 Star. The staff who answered the phone was rude and sounded like she didn't want to book us in (was calling for a 2 yr old). Explained the situation clearly and failed to understand. Asked when can I expected doctor to visit and was advised they will provide a ETA. Received a text my booking is confirmed and it's more than three hours no response from anyone. Send a text to avoid long queue and will be answered shortly, no response. Been on the phone for another half hour and phone rings out without an answer. Have these guys as your last resort and not the first, they will take your money and not show up. Situation got worse and ended up taking to emergency. No thanks to these doctors who only care about how much money they make an hour than your well-being.

I called at 6am as my 3yo has been up all night coughing with fever, was told to expect someone at 8am. At 830am I called for an update, was told another message would be sent immediately to the doctor assigned to provide an ETA. At 9am I called again and another message was sent to the doctor for an ETA. At 930 I called again and at 10am i finally get a text message to say booking had been received. At this point I called and was told the doctor had a "late start" this morning and actually wasn't starting work until 10am so would be over "at some point". Had I known this from the start I would have called someone else or taken her to hospital. I hope the doctor enjoyed his sleep in, knowing there were sick children looking out the window hoping a doctor would come soon to help them feel better.

Absolutely brilliant service. Tonight I rang at 9pm, thinking we might have to stay up until early morning to wait for a doctor coming. But the doctor came within half an hour! Amazing speed! The young female doctor was absolutely awesome, she examined my son, gave him some antibiotics tablets for the night and also prescription for us to go to pharmacy in the morning. It’s so wonderful that our whole family can sleep with a peace of mind tonight, no need to worry about my son‘s injuries tonight, and no need to worry about that our GP has been fully booked for the next 3days so where to look for a doctor tomorrow morning. Thanks so much again for your wonderful help/service. It’s so great to have you professional people in our community. Really appreciate!

  • Danielle Edmonds (Dani)

6.30pm - booked 2 appointments online for my son and myself. Possible chest infection and both have high temps and fevers for over 24hrs. 6.40pm - Phone call received and told a doctor will be there soon. 9.45pm - I called and asked for an eta. I was told they would send a message to the on call doctor and they would call shortly. 10.40pm - After nearly an hour of waiting just to get an eta, I call and cancel. 4 hours of waiting, no communication regarding eta, horrible customer service, no apology, and no care. Will never use this service, and won't be recommending it. And going by all of the negative reviews on here, alot of other people have had the same disappointment. I suggest you look into your procedures, systems, and staff training.

Extremely Poor Service! Booking confirmation received 3pm, no show 4.5 hours later. Contacted call centre staff who confirmed booking still valid and would send message to doctor. Still no show 7am following morning, contacted call centre staff to be advised that booking didn't exist?? A new booking made and confirmed, 4 hours later still no show, contacted call centre staff again who opted to hang up instead of providing a resolution. Another call made to call centre who advised booking still valid and had to wait. 15 mins later received text advising they were unable to attend. Call centre staff need training in customer service. This service doesn't deserve any star rating. Use someone else!!! Don't waste your time.

Called up at 8am to schedule an urgent doctors appt. They said I will hear back within 3 hours. 4 hours later heard nothing so I called them to find out what's happening - waited half an hour on the phone before it rang out. It's now been 7 hours since I scheduled the doctors appointment and still no sign of them. Used "instant consult" instead and had a telehealth appt within 5 mins Update: just got a phone call back 8 hours since the booking willing to see me (I told them I had already seen different dr). Upgraded to two stars. I wouldn't mind the long wait if they kept communication open letting you know long wait time so you know that doctor is still coming as there's no confirmation and wouldn't answer phone

I called House Call Doctor last night. In 20 minutes time I was visited by a frowny doctor who was very aggressive, selfish and rude in my opinion. After introducing himself on the doorstep, he didn't even let me to reply with "nice to meet you" as he was rushing into getting my medicare card sighted and get my signature for his payments afterwards. Maybe he had a bad day day or something but I believe they shouldn't send such GPs to patients. The reason I called for a doctor was my "flu" but the doctor didn't even bother to get my body temperature or check blood pressure. If you are asking me, I would say he was here in my house to get my signature for his own benefit. Nothing more than that unfortunately.

  • Gillian B

I would give them no stars if possible. My disabled son developed Covid late Saturday afternoon- had a temperature and lethargic, was quite unwell but had no respiratory issues, so I just wanted to get a script for antivirals. His support staff put in 2 requests to this service over the course of the evening and didn’t even get a response to say no Drs were available. Eventually at 11pm I contacted a different on call service who immediately sent me a message to say we would have a video consult with a Dr within 15 minutes. 20minutes later we had an e script and on our way to the all night pharmacy. No prizes for guessing which service we will use next time.

  • Kirah Lamb

Extremely upset with the service my partner and I was provided. We were told that a doctor was available and would be on the way. An hour later no show or message, so I called back. The operator was not helpful and tried to rush me off the phone. Told me to sit and wait. Meanwhile my partner had been vomitting for 2 hours straight at this point. Another hour passed and I called to cancel because I decided to take him to the hospital instead and they weren't concerned at all. I understand that you cannot satisfy everyone but it was the lack of concern and urgency that was truely up setting. Only call if you plan on pulling a sicky and can wait around all day.

  • Joseph La Motta

IF YOU CALL THIS MOB YOU WILL REGRET IT - I GUARANTEE YOU – THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE JOKE. After waiting the first 3 hours, I called them back only to be told that there was still 5 clients in front of me - then called again after another 3 hours to be told that the doctor should have seen me by now and must have skipped over me??? They then said they would call the doctor as he was only just down the road and make sure I was next which did not happen - total wait time 6 hours until I rang back and CANCELLED THEM - worst service ever ever ever. YOU WOULD HAVE LESS WAITING TIME IN THE WAITING ROOM OF A PUBLIC HOSPITAL - NEVER AGAIN - ONCE BITTEN - TWICE SHY!

  • James Vidotto

Really disappointing service. Twice in a week we have been stuffed around. We have a sick 6 month old who we needed some advice with. First call we were told that someone would be around between 1-3 hours, 4.5 hours later we were called and told they were still an hour away - cancelled the appointment and took her to our GP the next morning. 6 days later we called for the same sick bub, told it would be between 1.5 and 2.5 hours, we were called at the 2.5 hour mark and told they were busy, doctor went home sick (I don't believe this happened) and we needed to make other arrangements. Total waste of our time, and lucky it wasn't something serious.

  • Paige Loader

Called House Call Doctors 7 1/2 hours ago in need of an urgent prescription for medication. Nearly 8 hours on now and at 1:10am I am still waiting for the doctor. Have called 6 times now and each time I call one of the operators contradicts what the last one says. When I initially called at 5:40pm yesterday I was told that it would be a 2 hour maximum wait until the doctor arrived which I was fine with. However this has gotten to a ridiculous waiting time. Highly do NOT recommend this service especially if it is urgent medication. Waste of my time and STILL waiting. More to the fact each time I post to Facebook they delete and ignore my post!!

  • Bradley Madden

Contacted them as soon as the phone bookings opened at 6pm in a Friday. Received a call around 8pm conforming that a doctor has been assigned and would call with an ETA. Nothing heard at 11pm so phoned and was told they didn’t know how long it would be - maybe an hour or so. I asked if they could check with the assigned doctor but for whatever reason that wasn’t an option and I’d have to wait and see what happened. I told them I’d cancel, rather than wait up all night (which wouldn’t have helped my health). Wish I’d tried another service or gone to a day and night clinic but missed the chance while waiting for these guys. Deleting the app.

  • Kaiser Sosak

Called at 11am on xmas day, we live a bit far out from cbd so I wasn't expecting a fast arrival especially after seeing the reviews here however 15 mins later I receive a call from the doc saying he's 5 mins away and he arrived a few mins later. The consult took less than 90 secs, we got a script and he was off. Sure it wasnt exactly personable but thats what makes it efficient plus we got what we needed way faster than if we went to hospital and on xmas day so cant complain. If you need a thorough consult and empathatic ear maybe this service is not suitable as it relies on efficiency for the doctors to be able to see all patients.

  • Hadi Rahnama

There should be an option to give zero star. I called in the afternoon and booked a doctor for my baby daughter as she was feeling unwell. I was told a doctor will call me to organize a visit. I had to wait 2 hours for that call and then the doctor told me he will visit us in around 2 hours. We waited 3 hours and no one showed up. Called the doctor and he said our booking has been reassigned and i have to call the center to get an eta. Called the center and they said i have to just wait to get an eta or i have the option to cancel which I did. Unbelievable !!!!! If something happens to my daughter I'm taking these idiots to court.

  • Rebecca McDonald

DO NOT TRUST THIS SERVICE! 12 hours I waited for a doctor for our two sick kids. I called up and was told they were coming. I called again and was told as soon as the doctor finished with the current patient I would be called with an ETA. Another hour past, I called again and was told the booking had been cancelled because the Dr had called twice. Nobody called, no missed calls just more lies. I asked to speak to a supervision and was told there was no supervisor. Worst service ever. Try anyone else but this company. The government needs to de-register them. Tax payer money should not be paying for this terrible health service.

  • Erin D

Absolutely awful - do not waste your time and money calling this home “doctor” service. I waited 7 hours for a telehealth appointment, to be called from a “doctor” who sounded like he was at a restaurant. The call went for 2 minutes and he said he would send me a script and medical certificate. I have not received either and it’s more than 24 hours later. I have tried to call and have been on hold for 1.5hrs. The most interaction I received was with the person who took my credit card details to charge me $45 in advance of the call. Honestly do not bother. Wait to see a doctor on a weekday or find another home doctor service.

  • Lissel Pilcher

This was a horrible experience. I was directed to this service by 13 HEALTH after being told that our daughter needed to be seen within a four-hour period based on her symptoms. I was unaware nor told at the time of booking that the home doctor service would be performed as a Telehealth appointment. I was asked for our home address, which was misleading for what was to be a Telehealth appointment. The doctor that called us was rude and abrupt, and one of the first questions I was asked was whether or not I still needed this appointment... and in a very apathetic manner. Never again nor would I ever recommend this business.

  • Hanneke Klooster

I needed the Home Doctor from suffering cold/fly like symptoms with blocked ears and need a Dr Certificate for work purposes. I knew that they might take a while to come, however they called 20mins before arriving to let us know. The doctor was very friendly and informative. He was very willing to write me a certificate however the certificate was a bit vague around my condition with the doctor writing I was suffering from 'a medical condition'. Overall, I think this service is very handy if you can't manage to book in to your normal doctors, as long as you know you'll wait for a few hours before the doctor can get to you.

  • Justin Armstrong

The doctor I had spent about 5 mins with me. The first thing he said as I was lying in pain on the couch is 'is he really this bad?'. Not a good start. He didn't listen to me, i felt rushed. He didn't ask enough questions. He was I suspect trained in India. He wrote me a script for antibiotics without completing blood tests to confirm an infection. My advice is go to emergency after hours if you want any professional assistance or wait to see someone at a clinic. Home Doctor Brisbane verdict : next to useless Just as a follow up I was actually ill from withdrawal symptoms coming off the drug Targin. Not picked up by doc.

  • Norma Shelley

I wish I could give zero stars. I called at midnight to make an appointment and then after not receiving a single text or phone call or any expectation of time frame I call back around 4am to wait on hold for 40minutes to then be told I'd been assigned to the 2nd batch of doctors aka those who started at 8am! Communicating that to me sooner would have been nice. I still got no idea of time frame just that I would be contacted around 8am. A joke of a service. Why would you not warn patients there is an 8 hour plus wait when apparently the initial operator knew that from the get go. Pure incompetence on so many levels.

  • Róisín Duncan

I’ve used this service since 2017 and back then, it was pretty good. A doctor would call within an hour and be with you within two or three. I called last night to book, but got no call back or communication after that. My partner also used the telehealth service earlier this year and it was a twenty second phone call, where the doctor prescribed an addictive drug and hung up before my partner could finish listing his symptoms. To prescribe an addictive medication with no knowledge of someone’s medical history is appalling. Last night was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I won’t be using this service again.

Scam? I rang and hung on to speak to someone in a call centre offshore. They assured me I would have a visit the same day... definitely within 3-4 hours ..(Saturday arvo) I have something serious but don't want to block up the emergency department for a doc consult! After an hour I got a text to say....no visits today possible BUT IF YOU PAY $38++ you can have a telephone interview!!!! So tell me how it's cheaper to send someone out to your house than sit in the clinic and ZOOM in!? Disgraceful taking advantage of people in pain and distress!!! You will be reported to the medical board.

  • Jane Chia

The doctor who attended my father in law was very rude, abrupt and dismissive. Appalling bedside manner, almost as if she was in a rush to get in and get out in minimal time possible. Poor history taking, dismissive of any potential differential diagnoses, unable to provide a proper follow up advice (eg when my mother in law asked what symptoms to look out for in deterioration, she stared at her and said, "you will know...". Really?! Wow! As a medical doctor myself, I find it hard to observe the consultation. I tried to call HCD to provide feedback but couldn't get through the phone.

  • Amber Fisher

I don't recommend this service at all! If you'd even call it that. I called at 7:30pm to book a home doctor, i then had a doctor get in contact with me to let me know it'll be upto 2 and a half hours worth of a wait. Which I was understanding of. I missed a call at about 9:30pm then i returned the call, and he notified me that he didn't have the documents on him and he would call me back in a couple of minutes. It is now 11:05pm and i have not heard anything back! I have sent a message asking what the situation is? And when I've tried to call the mobile has been turned off.

I called around 3pm with chest infection after having travelers diarrhoea/vomiting at 3am prior to flying home from Peru. Took meds we had been given vomited on the plane but got home and have progressed to a very nasty chest infection. Feeling like crappie and time now8.40pm but no sign of Dr coming anytime soon so will ring up and cancel. Need to get to bed with headache burning cough and very tired. Will try someone else in am. Have been on phone 45 min with no reply to cancel call out so going to go to bed. I cannot wait anymore. This is a shocking call system.

  • Theadora Wilde

Poor service. Called at 9.30am and booked in an appt for 13yr old child. Got a text at 11am to say there may be a delay. Waited until 5.30pm and tried to call twice and was on hold for 20 min each time before call was cut off at their end and then I called again a third time. Was told I woud get a call or text from the assigned Dr but still nothing. Its been 9hrs now and still no contact via phone or text re eta or if they are still coming or not. Its now 6.30pm. I understand they are busy but lack of updates and no dr visit after a 9hr wsit is unacceptable.

  • Lauwren Loveridge

The doctor that came to our house on Christmas Eve was truely terrible. He was completely unprepared and unhelpful. He had no gloves, no bandages and tried to give the patient panadeine forte without checking when she had last had Panadol. His advice was to go to the hospital only for us to spend hours waiting and have the hospital doctors to then tell us we needn't have come immediately. He then threw a cigarette bud onto our front lawn as he was driving away! Complete waste of time for which he would have been paid hundreds of dollars for.

  • coco silk

They lure you in with the claim of bulk-billed appointments - the machine during the phone call tells you you are not eligible to be bulk billed but sends a link to your phone so you can give them all your details to book a telehealth appointment which should be bulk billed. You fill it in only to be told you are not eligible for bulk-billing for that either and it will cost $38. By then you've given them all your personal information... How has this company not been reported as it seems to be a personal information collection scam?

  • Alexander Mitrichev

I will make it simple: +You don't need to drive to GP or local hospital +Bulk billed -You can wait 3+++ hours for Dr to come to your place -There is no supervisor for house doctor. His decision is not backed up by senior colleague -If more advanced service or advice required trip to hospital is unavoidable So, if waiting hours is pretty the same comparing with Emergency Department and both options are for free you can only save some cash on petrol to hospital and back. I hope it is clear why in 2020 it is more practical to visit ED

  • Andre D'Couto

I've just cancelled an appointment I made 4 and a half hours ago. I'm in so much pain and I have no idea where the doc was as I didn't get any information on their ETA for the 6 or so times I had called. I spoke to Jim Rob Kevin and a Nelly and the only way to get to any of them was to use the booking option as the option for information on an existing appointment resulted in no one picking up. I just want to know when the doc would arrive. I didn't want to cancel an appointment on a person who probably drove a while to get to me.

  • Bianca Franettovich

Doctor arrived, didn’t introduce herself, stayed for about 6 minutes. Very judgmental in the way she looked at me as if to say you don’t look sick enough to have called. Unable to help as I am no longer experiencing the migraine type symptoms I was. Recommendation to go to hospital or to seek advice from someone more senior. Then as almost walking out the door offered me something to help the ‘vertigo’ I may have been experiencing which was not mentioned throughout the whole consultation with me. Not a service I would recommend.

  • Santiago

Awful service!! Been up all night waiting for the doctor to get to my house and it’s 3am and I guess he’s never going to arrive. The booking system is terrible, so is the staff who picks up the phone. In general I’m never using this service again. They can’t tell me the most simple thing as an estimate time when the doctor will arrive, that clearly shows that they don’t have an organised booking system and they just do whatever they want. This is just disgusting and disrespectful with people in pain and with peoples time.

  • Rubilyn Garcia

Don't waste your time with them! Needed a phone consult for my 10 month old baby and they said all bulk billing doctors were fully booked, so I paid for an appointment. The doctor never called waited for a for a whole day and a half, tried to ring them and two and a half hours on que they freaking hung up on me! I would give them negative stars if I could! Very dissapointing and unreliable! Your patient will die before they even answer you or for a doctor to talk to you, but too quick to take your money! Never again!

  • Lauren JLJ

Used to be a good service but completely absent. Tried to make a booking for me for my 2 year old...nothing...the app took me through all the steps then abruptly went back to the start with no booking confirmation. I waited 3 hours...nothing...made another app booking, still nothing. Called the hotline, no one answered and they ask you to leave a message without telling you how. In the end the automated msg just says to email them, which I did, no answer. Used to be a good service. Now terrible. Find another provider

  • K S

The original operator that took my call seemed barely interested. Just under an hour later I received a text message from the doctor advising they had the booking and would provide an ETA as soon as possible. Two and a half hours after that message I received another advising there were several patients ahead of me, but no ETA. Almost 5 hours after my original call and they can't give me a time frame, they should have done so from the initial call. Their approach is to leave people guessing it seems.

  • Emma Tawse

Called last night in pain and struggling to talk after having all wisdom teeth removed. The doctor was impatient and asked me 'what do you want' in an abrupt manner. I told him I was given medication that made me nauseous and was there something that could stop me from being unwell. He abruptly told me he'd prescribe some anti nausea medication and hung up the phone. Not to mention he sounded like he was at home making his dinner, banging pots and pans around. Absolutely awful experience.

  • Kirsty Arif

I have previously had positive experiences of this service. But this year the service has been woeful. The doctors have been good when they’ve come, but it’s taken ages. Communication regarding an ETA has been promised but not delivered. When I tried calling the service for an update, I was placed on hold and had to listen to the same recorded message repeated over and over again. Then, I got disconnected! This time it cut out after 8 minutes, last time it was after 20 minutes.

  • Francis Hart

Why didn't I open at 6:00 p.m. for bookings and then I'm still waiting at 8:45 for a confirmation of the booking and someone to contact me back when called the number had to send me a text so I can feel a bloody online form to get information that I should have got the first time terrible terrible service that will be referred to Queensland health fromvestigation and probably lost of license to practice within the state of Queensland and possibly law suit gor breach of ethics

  • An Angel

Unbelievable! Spoke to a Phillipines sounding person to book a doctor for my daughter yesterday. Got sms confirmation. Booked this around 7.30pm. Missed a call from a mobile around 12.01. Called back soon after and no one answered . Waited up until 2am but no one even turned up. Rang the number again and it says call center is closed ?!. It’s now over 12hrs and it’s the next day and we haven’t heard from anyone and no one has turned up and the call center is still closed ☹️

  • Natasha Howie

A friend told me about House Call Doctor. I never thought I would have any need for a home doctor service, but on one occasion I did. I was so surprised at what a fantastic service it is. The doctor came to my home, and even gave me the medication I needed for that night and the next morning until I had a chance to get my script filled. It was so convenient and I can't recommend it highly enough. We are so lucky in this country to have such a great service available to us.

  • Hannah Knowlman

If I could leave less than one star I would, zero service. Called and spoke to a machine this morning around 1015 and was sent a link to book an appointment for my 1yr old. I opted for Telehealth as I know it’s a busy time and this seemed simpler and more efficient for all. At 1700 I called back and the machine again sent me a link to leave a message. Here I am, after 2100 and still nothing. I’m even left feeling uncomfortable that I’ve given them my Medicare details.

  • Carla Fitzpatrick

Terrible service. Dr wrote out a script, pharmacy wouldn’t prescribe it because it did not have my date of birth on it. Ask for Dr to return to correct the script and he refused. The operator then made another booking for another Dr to attend for him to tell me they may not even write a script for the medication I required. I’m Post Op and can’t walk without crutches or in the wheelchair. Thought this would be an easy alternative than trying to attend a Dr’s surgery.

  • amanda riley

Made an appointment at 2.30pm for my 11 month old, had to call them (round 7pm) multiple times to see how long was the eta. After being on hold for over 30 mins gave up. Went through another option and got straight through to then find Dr should be there with in 30mins. 30mins later I gave up and cancelled the appointment and tried another service. I understand that it can be busy on a Saturday but the lack of communication was so poor that that made me cancel.

  • Rachel Heier

Shocking! And dodgy. After asking for personal details and info on my sick child they inform me 2 hrs later they can’t come. I’ve had them out once before and that too was really questionable on the doctor’s knowledge of very basic medical questions. Please be careful handing over medical info to this company as they won’t be using it for the treatment of you or your child. Will stick to home doctor. Long wait times but you know they’re actual doctors.

  • Dj J

I am unsure how much funding this organisation receives from thr government. But it should be reviewed. Tried to call overnight twice at different times and did not get to talk to a person. Just a horrendous anxiety inducing music tone. 20 minutes each call and not even a person to take information and advise on perspective waiting times. I understand this would not be an easy service to provide but when the service is non existent it's a problem.

  • Jennifer Hamilton

Thank you Dr Williams. You arrived when you said you would, took great protective measures (protective gear, kept distance) and helped me to control pain, get a prescription and let me know how to get a radiology referral online (Instant Consult were amazing, immediately called me and gave referral. I’m so impressed with the service I got from you, QLD Health (who gave me advice to call you and gave me your number). Thank you so much

  • Rory McKinnon

Literally no customer service. They ask for payment upfront. Something was wrong with the GPs phone. I never got my consult. I have sent multiple messages, waited on hold for over 4 hours, and still trying to get in contact days later (now just to get my money back, never mind getting health care when I'd needed it). In the end I've had to lodge a dispute through my credit card... Honestly the worst experience when you're sick. AVOID!!

  • Linda Foley

Called at 6.15pm. Gave all details including address, Medicare and Mobile. Called them back at 8pm as my temperature had spiked to 39.5 and I wanted an ETA. They told me they couldn’t find my booking. I have a 13 minute call in my call log and on my phone account. Spoke to manager who said they would rebook but couldn’t give me a timeframe for attendance. Terrible service and took no accountability for losing my booking.

  • Kathy F

Excellent service! I called for them late one Sunday evening to visit my mum who lives 15 minutes away. I received a call from the doctor within 10 minutes saying he would be there in the next 10 to 15 minutes, & he was already there by the time I arrived. My mum was treated professionally and respectfully and was started on a course of antibiotics. He also explained serious symptoms to watch out for and what to do.

  • Grant Riddick

Complete waste of time, would give zero stars if I could, to match the zero utility of this service. Spoke to someone apparently in an offshore call centre, said my area was fully booked for the day/night and couldn't help. I advised I could wait until the following day, was told they didn't book further ahead than the current day's consults! Not the sort of service one needs when unwell and looking for help.

  • Steven Farrington

Have called 3 times over a 24hr period now and been told each time that a doctor will be in touch with me for an ETA.. I'm still waiting to hear .. called for my 6 yr olds ear infection.. this is slack. Not really what you expect from a medical home call service . ... back to edit review... Just had 2 doctors rock up un-announced.. oh well should be happy I finally got to see a doc.. in some countries...

  • Tamara Ingram

Thanks guys, had one of your Doctors come out tonight after calling multiple other home doctors and being told sorry we are booked out in your area call 13health to find others to then call your company and have a lovely lady take my call and then the doctor and driver were equally as nice. Made this first time Mumma feel better about herself and hopefully my 9.5 month old gets better soon. Thanks heaps.

  • Black Widow

Horrible experience, waited hours payed money. The dr spoke to me for 58 seconds on the phone saying he’ll send me a script for antibiotics and medical certificate then hung up. I never got any of these things. Once I tried to call back I spent a few hours on hold to then be hung up on. This is a total scam and wish I read the reviews first. They deserve negative stars. Preying on the weak and Ill.

  • Shelly Wilson

I am absolutely disgusted with this service! I booked a home doctor for my mum at 3.30pm on a Sunday afternoon and they still hadn't turned up come 6am Monday morning. I call them and they advise they don't have my booking. My mum has many health issues. No empathy was offered by the receptionist. No option to even book again, let alone fast track the booking. Very disappointment!

  • Sue D

Don't waste your time! I booked for my elderly mother (94 yrs) yesterday by phone, at 3pm. Received text confirmation of booking at 3.11pm. Then at 7.38pm received text "Hello this is House Call Doctor. Unfortunately our local doctor is unable to assist." Mum in now in hospital. 13health advised to call 000, which resulted in fairly quick paramedic response and hospitalisation.

  • Pru Bishop

Booked appointment @ 10:18am. Received a call at 11:15am to be told they'd arrive in approximately an hour. It's now 4:40pm and still no doctor. I've rung twice only to be told 2 different locations and the doctor will be there within an hour. Completely unimpressed with this lack of communication & service. Nevermind I need to travel home today & was meant to leave hours ago!

  • Scott James

Called for an advertised "in home doctors visit" only to be told.that their were no doctors available and we would have to do the consult over the phone. It was only after I gave them all of my details that they then decided to tell me that the telehealth consult was not bulk billed and I would have to pay $38. Seems more like a phishing scam than an actual doctors service.

  • K P

Worst experience with a doctor I've ever had. My son is feverish and the doc came after 5 hours of waiting and i had to make him take my sons temp and check his throat and ears and he got angry and left. My son is very sick and looks like im going to have to take him to hospital. Thanks for nothing, I could have taken him a lot earlier but you made my child suffer.

  • NC K

Doctor was very good with my child, knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Have used this service before for myself and was happy with the service and doctor. Only issue is the wait time but probably quicker than going to the hospital or arranging a GP. The doctors provided are of a high quality and I was very happy with their communication and knowledgeability.

  • Josh Stevens

Doctors have always been good. Though last night one attended for my mother in law and the driver hung around the front door. It wasn't until after they left that she noticed they took a packet of cigarettes and a lighter...?? Pretty poor form to steal from an elderly lady! When I called in regards to the incident it sounded like they were laughing...

  • Kimberley Nihill

I booked a doctor at 6:45pm. They called five minutes later to let me know they'd be here soon and arrived about 30 minutes after that. The consult took less than five minutes and my script was instantly texted to my phone. The doctor was kind and the whole experience was pretty exceptional really. Lucky to live in a place with such great healthcare.

  • KilaBogan Gaming

I booked an appointment online and waited for a phone call after the website confirmed a doctor would be there inside 2 hours. I get a text message 1 hour later to tell me that they are booked out and to schedule a telehealth. Not really sure how a guy over the phone is going to bring down a high fever but I suppose it was a good way to waste an hour

  • Kahlee Jess

The house doctors are amazing. My little girl suddenly got a very high fever and just wouldn't sleep at all, so i called the house doctor and they came within 30 minutes and were so great! He gave her something for her fever and it went down immediately, she had the best sleep in days. I took her to my clinic the next day. thanks house call doctors!!

  • Jerome Dalton

I called at 7.30 am for an appointment. Called back at 9am and was promised 10am. By 12.30 there was still no doctor. The receptionist was rude and acted like they were doing not only me but the whole health care system a favour by coming at all... These guys act like they are selling pizza not health care. This system needs a total revision by gov.

  • Marise Boshoff

Called around 7pm and booked a doctor. Was told a doctor will be available in an hour. It's now past10pm and no doctor in sight, that is 3 hours later. Try calling and an automated machine repeats itself over and over again without an option to leave a message, been holding on forever and eventually gave up. Will not use House Call Doctor again.

  • Lauren E

Was told I could book a telehealth appt for $38. After booking I never received a call. I tried to phone them multiple times to find out what was happening but calls never go through. There's no actual way to speak to anyone after you've made an appointment. I had to demand a refund via their online form. Absolutely operates like a scam.

  • Emily McDonald

Don’t waste your time. I called at 8pm for my 10 month old son, I was told I would have a doctor be in contact with me shortly to confirm an ETA. By 9pm I had heard nothing and called back only to be told that the doctor in our area had gone home sick so no one would be coming. Terrible customer service so my advice is don’t even bother.

  • Adele Mollaei

I wish it was zero-rating which I could give them. After waiting 4 hours till 11 pm, they called me and said doct6or went sick home and can't make it !!! At first, place when I booked it, I didn't receive any confirmation email or SMS. I had to call and make sure my booking has been placed. Horrible service, don't waste your time, please

  • Lupen Native

Terrible service. Incredibly rude person who took the call and the doctor was equally awful. The doctor also failed to provide adequate care and treated my husband poorly. We will never use this service again. Make sure to call any other service than this one - they will surely let you down and treat you like dirt while they're at it.

  • Amy Adams

Appalling customer service. 3 hours later, no answering of phone. Sent emails, messages as advised on hold, no answer what so ever. No confirmation of appointment. Still currently looking for appointment for my child. No one has confirmed or contacted me since 6pm. Don't know what happened here, when they first opened they were good.

  • Honest Reviews

Have had a same doctor on few occasions now, Dr. W.B and I find him to be an excellent diagnostic doctor. He is also very polite and really good with kids. We always feel “in safe hands” when he attends as each time he has given an accurate diagnosis and proposed a suitable treatment, unlike doctors at the local children’s hospital.

  • Samantha Templeton

Called and made a booking 1.3hrs later after waiting told it was cancelled and to call 13sick who were the ones who told me to call. Now I've been waiting over 1 hr to get through to them on phone. I think they are just refusing to answer call and have probably charged Medicare. I will be calling Medicare to check and report them.

  • S M

They arrived very promptly, within half an hour of making the booking which I was very thankful for. The consult was a bit weird though, all over in less than five minutes I’d say. He gave me two tablets to take but wouldn’t give me a prescription. At least I don’t have to go to the pharmacy but it just seemed a bit unusual.

  • Kylie Denton

Everytime I call feel like I am inconveniencing the call centre, the customer experience is never one of concern or empathy and so matter of fact. In this industry there should be some warm and concern but it's not there. Whenever you ask for approx wait time you are just told "can't tell you" and you will just have to wait.

  • Jamie-Lee Family

DO NOT PHONE!! Unbelievably poor service when you are sick and in need! I phoned at 6 on the dot to book in. 2 hours past so I phoned again for an update and told someone would call for time of arrival, now 5 hours later! Absolute joke! Lights on as suggested, dog locked up as suggested! Wish I could report this further!

  • Matthew Gordon

Been using this service for years and the customer service agents answering phone calls are disgustingly rude. This "Georgina"/"Georgia" woman blatantly hung up on us over three phone calls without signing off, confirming information and was impatient, aggressive and nasty, also making false promises. Disgusting service.

  • Rachell Baldi

Very happy with the Doctor I was given, he was kind and helpful. The customer service representative I spoke with the very nice. One improvement I would make is to have push notifications though the app when your request is received, when a doctor has been assigned and if possible eta on the doctors arrival.

  • Dion

Would not recommend. Terrible slow overseas call centre, took nearly 15 mins to input my data, with great difficulty, wouldn't advise how long wait time might be, ended up giving up and not going through with appointment. Called another home doctor and got it all sorted in under 5 mins with no issues.

  • Doug

The doctor came within the time frame stated and just like the website stated, no out of pocket expenses! My doctor had great bedside manner making me feel comfortable quickly, he was very thorough with his prognosis and gave me medication on the spot. I would thoroughly recommend using the service.

  • Zoe Hamilton

Called to book at 11am on Sunday, booking was confirmed. Told that the doctor would ring shortly to provide an ETA. An hour later I received a text saying the doctor was booked out. Unsure why so many people are receiving confirmations of their booking if the doctor is not available. Waste of time.

  • Shay Hines

You can’t have people on hold for 60plus minutes just to get through to than have to wait another 6hrs for either a phone call or home visit. I’m struggling to understand how this company is in business and will be making a formal complaint to department of fare trading because it’s beyond a joke.

  • Mark Urban

Great service, attended promptly despite the very stormy weather. Doctor was attentive and patient with a sick toddler. Followed up with a phone call a few hours later to check in and again confirm instructions for treatment. Qe have used a few home doctor services and this is by far the best.

  • Kieran Reed (Ja1n)

The house call doctor service is great! We called them and the friendly staff on the phone were great, made sure it was not an emergency and told us when to expect the doctor. He arrived, had great bedside manner and took care of not just me, but addressed all my concerns. Would recommend.

  • Rebecca McDonald

This used to be a great service but the last two times I have used them they have taken the booking then cancelled hours later saying they can’t get a doctor to my address. Sure things happen and Drs get sick or don’t show but build in contingency. Poor service choose a different company.
