First off, House of Cars Edmonton Argyll posts fake reviews to boost their terrible image, so don't go by the 5 stars that they themselves post on here!!! Believe me these guys lie like I have never experienced, I grew up with morals, this sales team have none!! We had the worst experience we've ever had with this dealership, nothing but lies, deception, and pushy, shady, down right slimy sales tactics!! We were promised several things on our truck that Omar the so called sales manager lied about and didn't do, such as new tires, lied about those, fog lights, also lied about that as well, not to mention the truck was in bad mechanical working order, we found several AMVIC inspection discrepancies, AMVIC report was fraudulently filled out by house of cars, when there were many items passed, that absolutely did not, such as wiper blades, something so simple, and they literally fell off on the way back from Edmonton, washes pump didn't work, brakes were gone and so we're all the rotors, truck staled at idle, injectors were gone, massive gasket leak on manifold, etc. the work was completed in a dodge dealership after much arguing between us and Omar, brakes passed on House of cars AMVIC, when in actuality, after properly being inspected, they were down to 18% wear life left on some, and they told us they replaced the brake pads, and they didn't, an outright lie right to our faces when we were there, We also had to have a main gasket replaced, 2 injectors, airbag fault corrected, and on and on!! I have proof of all of this, so don't bother replying guys or your just going to look stupid and I'll post the AMVIC comparison as well as receipts for the work done at dodge over 4000$ worth. Alicia was part of signing off on the fraudulent AMVIC, so she's a bald faced liar as well, and was extremely condescending and rude when we met her, and seems to do Omar's bidding when asked, as a matter of fact minus one young guy there, James, they all seem extremely manipulative and use deceptive sales tactics to push garbage vehicles on people that they can't get rid of. We have spoken to other house of car dealerships in Calgary, who also agree, that what Omar did, and the way he did it, goes beyond credible, and ethical, and that's their own Brand name company!! You know exactly who I am, and I told you we would be posting a review of your shameful business practices and what you do to people, and again don't argue this review, you all know we have proof of what was promised, and what we got, as well as the hardship you put me and my wife through to make a quick buck on the commission!! Funny, with the work done to the vehicle, as well as you guys having to make our fist payment due to holding our truck hostage in Edmonton for no reason, you morons actually lost money having to pay for the repairs at dodge after they found countless issues with our truck that you liars said were taken care of, not sure if you all took us for fools but this is all coming to light! We've taken our time with this, but AMVIC has been notified of the fraud and all documents have been scanned and compared to our legitimate AMVIC inspection through dodge Canada. Hope you guys have all your ducks in a row because we'll be talking real soon. Buyers beware, this place is shady and are looking to take advantage of anyone willing to deal with these crooks!! If I could give this trashy place a -100 I would do it with with the upmost pride. I have NEVER experienced such AWFUL service from any dealership. And we all know dealerships aren’t anyone’s favourite business to deal with. Let me get to the point by saying their service department has been the most unprofessional of it all. A friend’s vehicle has been sitting on their lot for 40 days waiting to get repaired. The car was purchased from this exact location, and a warranty was sold with it. Shady dealership selling a warranty on a car they can’t even fix. Every single day is an excuse after excuse after excuse. To start off the excuse was that the piece they ordered was not the right one. Then they lied that a service was performed on the car and it was ok to drive. Then was told the right part was ordered. The next excuse was that it was ordered 3 days AFTER. That’s just a brief overview. The worse part is, just so everyone knows how the service department has been, the service manager Brendan was fired alongside 4 of their techs for being “shady” according to the general manager. What kind of shady? You tell me. Turns out, the car I am talking about has not been touched once. It was not fixed with the wrong part. It was never serviced. It was never actually looked at. House of cars assured they don’t provide rentals, but for some reason my friend got a rental that was so disgustingly dirty, it wouldn’t qualify as a rental but as someone’s personal vehicle. Upon the service manager being fired, no one at the dealership even knew whose rental it was. One last point, 40 days later, said friend was told the car would be returned by this Friday repaired and ready to go. The update today was that the car was not worked on with, once again a new excuse that another car was priority for a sale. My advice to anyone: don’t buy a godamn vehicle from this place and don’t EVER bring any vehicle to get repaired by these clowns.

This is an UPDATE of the review below that I made when I purchased the vehicle and right before we leave the dealership. Everything was awesome and they seemed to be very friendly and I was sooo surprised that I thought FINALLY a dealership that we can trust until we went home to Fort McMurray….. I was very upset when I saw that the tailgate of the vehicle has corrosion, it was never disclosed to us knowing that it is an expensive 2nd hand vehicle. The manager OMAR is very disappointing, he never response to any messages at all and if he does, it’ll take him a week or more to get back to you. We did back and forth with the fixing of tailgate and finally they did THANK YOU STEVE THE SERVICE MANAGER (i think). We dealt with him because he is more reachable than OMAR. We found another corrosion on our vehicle that was NEVER DISCLOSED. I messaged Omar and finally after forever, he finally responded and said he will be home end of June because he is out of town. I am hoping that they can fix this because it’s a lot of money to begin with. I am soooo disappointed and upset to the Manager Omar. Is this how you handle customer after they leave your dealership? As if it’s our fault? We won’t be buying this vehicle if everything was disclosed. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE IN MANAGEMENT AT LEAST REACH OUT? I was in the market to trade in. Over about a week, I was inquiring on line to many dealerships in my area. One kept telling me to put down a deposit, then we will look for the right vehicle for me!?!? I was getting discouraged. Then I clicked on HofC Edmonton ad while scrolling through Facebook. Roland answered me via text, soon after. I told him what I was looking to do, in regards to my trade in, and what I was looking for. He said he would get back to me the next morning. He did, he got my details, my trade in details (it helped that I had all documents, and was able to send pictures fast!) then he showed me something even better than what I was expecting (all over TEXT messaging!) Then Finance guy Sean, texted me, all I had to do was say YES! I was wondering how I was going to get to Edmonton to pick up as I’m from Calgary. Sean said “Will have it delivered to you tomorrow!” I said OK! I was a little apprehensive as it was so quick, it didn’t seem real!? Not to mention… buying a car without a test drive or at very least “seeing it in person”. Then the next day after work, my New JEEP Wrangler pulled into my driveway! Less than 48 hours from inquiry to delivery! That’s impressive! Even more impressive is they gave me top $ for my trade in! ($5000.00 + More than another dealer offered me!) it was easy to say yes, to the great deal and great H of C Reps! Now I’m in the vehicle I have always wanted! My Only issue, the Jeep smells like cigarettes or vape (there was a vape device found in the compartment ) I need to do something about that!

They post deceitful advertisements to get your foot in the door then make you feel bad for not having the budget for a car you were not interested in the first place. If you have an immigrant family, please do not go to this place. The "salesman" openly bashed me for not having knowledge re: the financing process and went on a diatribe in front of my parents. I have lived in Canada for about 10 years and have nearly perfect credit. We looked at the ads on their site for a car less than 10K, went to this location to see if they had those cars available. Red flag #1: Upon sitting down the gentleman whom I won't name said a car over budget would be better. When asked about the cars we have seen on their site, he spilled that those cars have not been inspected at all. The one he had in mind was inspected and ready to go but was over budget. Red flag #2: When we viewed the cars less than 10K on their site he told us stuff such as "I don't even know if these cars work" or "maybe you are just buying parts." Yikes. Wouldn't have made the trip to their location if we knew about the state of these cars ahead of time. When asked about why they were advertising or selling these cars in the first place, he dodged the question. I straight up told him that we wouldn't have come to their location had we known about their sales tactics. Red flag #3: He said something to the effect of "I have warm leads in these seats and if you leave here without a car it's a lost deal" Please take your business elsewhere and avoid these slimy "salesmen"

Long story short...I highly recommend House of Cars Argyll to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle. My experience with both sales and service staff was incredible. They made me feel valued and respected as a customer both when I purchased my vehicle and when it needed its first oil change. For more details, feel free to read on... Bought my minivan from them in March 2021. Mike was awesome. I had low expectations and planned to settle for whatever lower priced used vehicle I could get...hopefully with less than 200000K and newer than 10 yrs old. He got me financed for my dream vehicle. Yes, my dream vehicle was a minivan. A 2019 Grand Caravan with only 50000K on it and within the payment amount I set. He went above and beyond for me and it was the best experience I've ever had with a dealership. Fast forward to August 4th 2021: I was getting my vehicle serviced at a Dodge dealership and they proceeded to freak me out with a warning that my oil change might become a nearly $1000 expense due to a risk of cracking my oil cooler assembly system. Contacted House of Cars as the last company to perform an oil change on my vehicle prior to purchase and Steve from the service department had me bring it in right away. He took it into the shop right after I got there and completed the oil change without any issues or concerns. I was frantic and he was patient and friendly and ultimately helped me to calm myself and breathe. I can't thank these gentlemen enough for the positive experiences they provided!

If you want to hear all the right answers while you are buying a vehicle and get sold a lemon, then by all means by a care at House of Cars Argyll. They are scam artists, liars, and con artists. If you buy a warranty from them then be prepared for them to tell you excuse after excuse after excuse why they can't fix your car. If you want to talk to someone different every day because they have new staff every day, then this is your place!! They have had my sister's Mercedes Benz for 45 days. 45 days for warranty work that they sold the warranty for, but not able to complete. They told her twice they had ordered a part, when in fact they had not. They told her the part " got shipped to a wrong city " for the first delay. Second delay told us they got the part, but they ordered the wrong one. After they " got the right part" the whole service department and manager got "fired" so they had no one to work on her car. 45 days.... They avoid your calls, don't call you back, give you the run around. They are joke, I firmly believe in reviews good and bad to give others a fair warning of what they are getting themselves into beforehand and letting them make that choice. There are no morals, respect, or honesty here. Think very carefully before you spend your money here.

I do not recommend anyone to go to this dealership. Most of the dealership I went to they treat you with respect, unfortunately this one doesn’t. I went with my friend to get him a car few days back and we really liked this Camaro but the price wasn’t good for us so we told them it’s okay. They had called us back yesterday and told us a set price that they will give with no down payment that will work for us if we come the next day. We agreed and my friend took the day off from work today and went to the dealership. When we got there the GM right off the bat was very loud and talked very rudely (kind of trying to be the alpha). He told us the price they told my friend was not going to work and he gave us a higher price. We explained to him that’s not the price that was told over the phone. When we saw the guy we talked on the phone with we called him over and asked him if he said that. The GM didn’t even let the other guy talk and kept on disagreeing. At the end he said “this is my store and my cars. This is the price I’m going to give you”. We said “you have to keep your word and be respectful of peoples time and money. He asked if we have proof that the guy said the price through the phone and he wouldn’t let us even ask the other guy if we’re lying or not. I found that he was very unprofessional and was trying to just fight us.

If you're looking for a vehicle, or if you have bad credit, this is the place to go! I was looking through the website on night at 3am wishing I would get approved for a car, and stumbled on a 2015 Subaru Brz. I've had horrible credit for the past couples years due to making dumb decisions when i was 18. I checked the APR rating on there website and was called the next morning. When you first walk into the dealership, you'll notice that everyone in there is happy, and super kind. No bad vibes what so ever!! They also have a beautiful 6 speed manual Murcielago on display that id love to take pictures of one day. * wink wink* John M is an amazing sales man, and didn't push anything on me that I didn't want. I told him I was interested in the car, but I didn't think i was gonna get approved at all. He sat with me for a couple hours explaining the different possibilities we could do to help repair my credit and also get me into a car that I like (this is my 9th car hehe). After I chose the brz, John took care of all the rest of the work before handing all the info off to Cody. They both worked hard at getting me the best rate possible and payments to fit my budget! Thanks again! If you're looking for a car please give House Of Cars some interest, because they wont do you wrong!

From my experience I would not do business here. My partner and I originally wanted to try and get two vehicles from here and wanted to see our options. From the get go we called and asked questions. No question could be answered without going in, in person and wasting time. I personally found another place to purchase a car. My partner went back to try and make a deal. My partner wanted to switch from the guy we had last time Shane. Unfortunately he was stuck with him. Do not go here UNLESS you are going to purchase ASAP! They will do HARD credit checks without your knowledge. In total between my partner and I we had 3 HARD credit checks. Shane himself is a big turn off to this place and is not up front. He likes to play games and act like he’s the only one that can give you a good deal and tells you his whole life story. He is scummy. Truly beyond disappointed in this place. Great way to be welcomed to the city. Will never do business here and I suggest you save your time, money, energy and credit by not going here. We are currently filing credit disputes and I will update on what happens but it takes 30 days for a dispute to be resolved/ reviewed.

James made the entire experience of buying a car enjoyable. He is very personable, and not pushy like a typical car salesman. He truly is looking out for his clients best interests. He made things easy and with the least amount of stress as possible. When the driver delivered my car to the wrong location he personally drove me to my car to make sure I got it that day knowing I lived out of town. My only disappointment is my vehicle was incorrectly advertised on the website. There were features mentioned, that I was excited for, when upon arrival I noticed were not in my vehicle. That is no fault of James or the other team members at House of Cars Argyll. Given my disappointment, James went above and beyond to make sure my car had a remote starter installed shortly after I brought my car home at no cost to me. When in reality a remote starter is the most important feature needed in Alberta winters. I thoroughly appreciate James' incredible service. I would absolutely recommend anyone to work with him!

Please do not go to this dealerahip. I have no doubt that they probably buy their reviews. I went to get a car recently and the one I liked was out of my budget, so i left and said its okay. They called me the next day and gave me a fixed price of $300 bi weekly with no downpayment. I took the day off from work and went in. I was met with the GM and he sat me down and gave me $349 biweekly deal. I mentioned to him that wasnt the price they told me over the phone, but he disagreed and started talking really loud. He kept on reapeating the same thing and we said that its not good to not keep your words. He yelled "this is my store and my cars, and this is my price." We saw the guy we talked over the phone with and asked if he told us $300. The GM didnt even let him answer and kept on saying you don't have written proof they said that and dont talk to him. We left the dealership very upset and feeling disrespected.

I've recently purchased a vehicle from this guys. I have some financial issues that I thought would not allow me to be approved. As expected the bank turn me down, however the financing department called the bank and they were able to negotiate a deal for me and the bank agreed. They got me a great interest, monthly payments below what I had mentioned that I could do and I took possession of the vehicle very quickly. There are a couple reasons I didn't give them a 5 start, such as that the vehicle only came with 1 key, some information was not available (like the key pad code and I didn't receive photos of the vehicle as promised) and some minor hail damage was not disclosed until delivery. Obviously, some of those issues were out of their control yet others were. Overall, very pleased with the service and the vehicle. I would and already have referred friends to this dealership.

My girlfriend was looking for a car so she sent in a inquiry and we got a phone call from a gentleman named James. We spoke on the phone and had a good conversation about vehicles and life , we had made a appointment with him and wasn't able to make it so we rescheduled more then once, and James was always understanding. We finally made it in on a Saturday and met James (he came in on his day off to accommodate us ) he was friendly , very easy going, personable , and not pushy at all. we had a great experience with James and his staff. We looked at a few cars, then took a look at one that was in the price range of what we wanted , and sold! Not only did did they help us with a car, but they found us the best price on insurance as my girlfriend kept getting ridiculously high prices . they really came through more then once . it was a fun time as well

Went in to look at a vehicle they had up online. Salesman was nice and helpful, he told us it had transmission issues and pulled out some other options. Although one he brought out ended up having a smashed side mirror, flat tire, and when I tried to start it it was completely dead. Overall a bad look. He said his manager then wanted to talk with us and she was the horrible part of going here. We mentioned the problems and “of course we’ll fix that” but didn’t even give an actual price and then berated us about looking at private vehicles. She ended the conversation by just standing up and walking away while we just sat there. Pretty unfortunate because prior to the experience with her - I was considering some of their options, and like I said before, the salesman was excellent.

House of cards is probably one of or if not the greasiest type of dealership you could go to. Thankfully I didn’t go ahead with my purchase but I know a few unfortunate people that have. Some of these sales associates are borderline criminals. You wouldn’t believe the interest rates given to helpless people. Indigenous? New immigrant ? Language barrier? They’ll absolutely take advantage of you and you’ll have made one of the worst financial decisions of your life. Definitely don’t recommend. Complete scam artists. Go see for yourself, there well versed add campaigns that probably brought you to these reviews is NOTHING like the experience you will have. They are despicable and do not deserve your hard earned money

Don't sell with park and sell program. After 2 months with no word, I left 4 messages over several days for follow-up and no sales personnel has the decency to call back. Today I called and left a message in the morning to speak to the sales manager Alicia. Given the previous experiences I've had with no call back - I called back hours later and while asking for Alicia's email or office number instead I'm told "she's snowed with appointments and she has your number and will call you back". I was interrupted while speaking and hung up on by Jim, I believe. Such utter disrespect and unprofessionalism. That was Friday. It is now Wednesday and that supposed callback didn't happen. Avoid this place like the plague.

Honestly I had THE BEST experience with House of Cars! I don't usually write reviews but I feel like this needs to be said. Dealing with Roland was super smooth. I told him the specs I wanted with my car, colour, Km's and the amount I wanted to pay. He found my car within days! I was surprised because it was a super rare spec I was asking for. When it came to financing Adam was on my side. He fought with the banks, and got me a crazy low prime interest rate. He answered my calls when I had questions even after business hours. Overall my experience with HOC was amazing. If any of my friends or family are looking for a new car, Im sending them right to them!

Yesterday on November 9th I went in to see about trading in my truck with Shane walkin and told him I didn’t want a credit report done until we decided on a vehicle I never ended up liking any vehicles he offered and never decided on a car. He’s like yeah no problem we wont do a hard credit check then today on November 10th I get a notification that a hard credit check went through I called the manager Omar and told him about what happened he said hell approve with trans union on my dispute ill be following up on here about whether they follow through or not. I’m absolutely disappointed in the dishonesty.

They made me sign for a credit check and found out they did a hard check and sent me out to every bank under the sun AND they pushed the loan through on a vehicle I DID NOT EVER SEE OR WANT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!! STAY AWAY!!! If I could give it any less I would, had a decent sales person at first but when he went on days off everything went to poo. STAY AWAY!!!! the manager won’t return a call over a month. Was sold a truck that didn’t even have out of province inspection done… they say they didn’t know it came from out of province.after getting inspection done tires were shot… okay fine no big deal…except they made me pay half for their mistake. Stupidly i did. Now a few mounts later the truck needs over 10g of repair. Really wish I never even heard of this place Biggest regret of my life

As a female, I'm always very skeptical about going to car dealerships, but I have to say that this was by far the best experience I have ever had shopping for anything!! Roland made sure to answer all my questions and even went as far as to break things down so that I fully understood what I was getting myself into. The GM, also came out and met with me, as I was requesting a bit of a break as I wasn't able to come up with any money down and he was kind enough to waive that for me. I will definitely be coming back to work with these guys, make sure to ask for them when you visit.

A year ago I bought a car from this location. At first I was impressed with the quality of service. It has been a year, and now I am changing my review, In the time I have had this car, several mechanical issues have happened and the service staff seem to have little to no interest in resolving the problems. As of this point i have to do it myself. I do not recommend this location and advise all current and future customer to go elsewhere. This company do not stand by their product nor show any professional courtesy or respect for their customers.

Criminals work here, people with no morals and no decency as humans. Shane is the lowest kind of puppet for their charade of criminal acts. Tarun is a liar he told me to sign for a credit check and to hold the car but really tricked me into signing for the car before I had even seen it, it’s been 3 months and I still don’t have the car that I’m paying for. Omar blocked my number and won’t contact me because he knows that him and his goonies messed up. My piece of advice don’t ever set foot in that place, hopefully they won’t be around much longer.

I contacted House of Cars last week and William was able to get me driving away with a vehicle I LOVE within a few days. Coming from BC I had only ever dealt with ICBC, so William helped me get every detail of registration and insurance figured out, which was a godsend! My son will need something to drive soon and I'll be coming straight back here so William can get him into something he loves too.Thank you so so much Will, you made this process simple and painless for me and I'm so happy to be in my new car!!!

I used House of Cars to sell my Porsche Cayenne, my experience was amazing! James did a wonderful job supporting me from start to finish. The process took a little longer than I expected, but James never lost faith, he was confident it would sell. James was patient with my many inquiries and kept me updated on the interest my vehicle was receiving. I am amazed that they sold the vehicle in this slow economy. Had a great experience purchasing a vehicle at house of cars. James was super friendly and treats you like family. He made the process very easy and not stressful. James was not pushy at all and truly wanted to help us get into the vehicle that would suit us best. James got us a great deal on a 2020 Ford Escape titanium hybrid when we came in with a 2013 Chevy equinox. We couldn’t be happier with the vehicle and the experience with James. He has been the best sales person we have dealt with to date.

I called House of Cars about a price on a 2016 Camero SS. The sales person and I made arrangements to meet on the weekend. When I arrived it turns out that the sales person that I spoke to was on vacation. I was met by James Pryer. He was very welcoming and we got on great. We made a deal and we made arrangements for me to pickup the car a few days later. We finish up the paper work and James walked me trough the functionality of the car and I was on my way. It was a great experience!

It was a positive experience. James was & continues to be very helpful as things happened very quickly. I walked into the dealership and was greeted by James Pyper; e was inviting, knowledgable and willing to support my inquiries regarding finance options and vehicle specs. I came in on two separate days and James came with me to test drive multiple vehicles, he responded to my messages and was responsive to my preferences. The dealership is also pet friendly and the staff took care of my dog while I went on test drives. Overall positive experience, helpful staff, quality vehicles.

My experience at House of Cars was absolutely amazing! Dustin is the man to see if you want a quality vehicle, someone who pays great attention to your needs, and will work everything out for you so you don't need to worry. He catered to what my financial status is while finding me a great car that's nearly brand new. I cant thank Dustin enough for setting me up with everything I needed to get on the road. Terrible... 3 months after purchased the truck, take it back to them. 7 months took to have it partially done. Today I have to take it to another mechanic shop, due I'm working in another province. NONE of the issues they should had done was resolved and even more. I'm paying 3000 dollars extra for repairs. Avoid this scam place like the plague. Needless to say, they don't pick the phone or answer any of your emails/calls.

Very pushy guys. Beware of pushy dealerships at any place. They did my credit check before finalizing my car and were showing me options I don’t want. I believe they were lying about my buying power as I was approved for a brand new vehicle at some other dealership. The ads are just to attract people, my over all experience was not at all good and would never recommend anyone here, at least in the Edmonton branch.

DONT BUY FROM HERE! The worst place you could purchase a vehicle from. They are snakes that will lie and lie they lie continuously to get you to sign and once you sign they don’t care about you. Was dealing with Will and he got us an approval with bad credit as long as I paid off my other loan ($1200 remaining). Unfortunately when I asked to see the options he had for an approval after he’s been promising to send us photos of vehicles for two weeks he’s completely ghosted us with no communication after many attempts of trying to get ahold of him on both phone and email.

If you are looking to buy a car, James is the person to go to. He is great to talk to, he will help you understand things easily and most importantly find you the car in your budget. I have been to few other places and people there just will try to sell cars without understanding your requirements and budget but not here, Go to James and you will definitely not regret visiting!!

All of the staff that I interacted with were super friendly and explained everything very clearly, including my credit report and what I would be able to get. James did a great job helping me get into exactly the car I was looking for. He's great and went way above and beyond. The experience with the finance department on the other hand was protracted and difficult, with them changing the terms of the deal after it was signed. But in the end, James made the experience a positive one and I'm happy with the vehicle.

Just bought a new used car on financing for the first time. Kulshaan and his coworkers were all super helpful and walked me through all the steps and came up with a payment I could handle. While gassing up he noticed a small glitch on the dash and had the techs look into it and make sure everything was good to go.
