If you want to renew your tags, TN is waiving Class A & B state registration fees for those whose tags are expiring between now and June 30th 2023. A renewal isn't free since only the state portion is waived, but that'll make your car tag only about $61 with the 2% credit card fee. When I asked why, the clerk didn't know but I had no complaints.... Any discount is GREAT! I learned that you can only renew tags for others ONLY if the tag has expired within 90 days. Any older expirations will need the registered owner to come in person and renew their own tags. So I was unable to give a gift of tag renewal which would have been a "novel" and unorthodox Christmas present. Another fun fact I learned was that TN Residents can go to any Driver License station in ANY COUNTY! I suppose getting rid of emissions testing was the best thing for efficiency They close at 4:30pm so I recommend coming in by 4pm in case there's a line. Since there were only about 2 other customers already being served, the security officer took me straight to a customer service representative at an available window. Everyone there was very pleasant and I was in and out so quickly.

Had an issue with getting my tags renewed. I got tags from Davidson County last year and they didn’t do things correctly. I had to Renew my tags this year and it took me 6 hrs and 15 minutes. Not to mention I drove to three different county clerk offices which was over 50 miles of driving. I moved to Wilson County and they pretty much viewed it as not there problem and sent me to another County Clerks Office. The office I ended up at said this office could have handled it.

Went for a lost title. Ample parking. I entered the building and an information officer directed me to the correct room. I was helped within ten minutes after getting into line. The first attendant looked up my lost title and gave me a copy of the number. They directed me to the second person helping me. Both were so kind and helpful. There was a reasonable fee of $11.00 dollars. There were also people voting early and that was running pretty smooth.

What a pleasant surprise! I went to get a business license, expecting a long wait and a surly staff. They were so quick I didn’t have time to finish my paperwork. The desk person gave me advice on how to save $40 - $50 by having my application processed 3 days later. Competent, attentive, knew what they were doing. The little comic strip taped to her computer gave me a laugh

Never imagined I would say anything nice about a government office. But the Davidson County Clerk office is the exception. There was a short line but it moved quickly. Got in and out in just 15 minutes with everything I needed to get done. Very well run and the people were very pleasant helpful and seemed genuinely happy!

If this is your first time with a permit sign , I definitely suggest walking in and asking Ms. Teresa Moore for help. She is an angle . She just took a weight out of my shoulder. I definitely suggest that zoning depart create youtube videos of process and send it as email whomever has questions about any permit.

Lines too long and slow for tag renewal. Only saw 1 maybe 2 windows open. The line was outside the entry door. Persons needing tag renewals did not have a separate line/window. Everyone with title issues, any detailed car issues were all in the same line with tag renewals increasing wait time.

I was in and out of the building within just a few minutes to renew my car license tag. That's very impressive...I thought I might have to wait a long time but their office seem to be very organized so everyone was moving fast and efficiently. I came on a weekday early afternoon.

I had a very pleasant experience considering, this is a State Operated facility! The Security Officers at the Entrance were so friendly. Not to mention: the people at the County Clerks Office! Everyone was extremely helpful! I'm impressed!

Had to renew my tags. Don't go on the 1st of the month LOL. The line was literally outside. They had tents up so we weren't in the sun. They could have reworked the line so that everyone could be inside but hey I don't work there.

I just wanted to tell you that I was expecting to be there for a while today. But I was only there about an hour. They had the line moving really good and the staff was awesome. Thank you for a great experience.

This is where I go to get my vehicle license plates. I always I have found this place to have good service. I have also found I could pay my property tax here. Voter registration many other services.

While tag renewal lone was long, other services such as title replacement and passport services were short or nonexistent. Friendly professional staff. Polite with No attitudes.

OMG! The line to renew my plates was so long. However the policeman inside referred me to the outside kiosk since I was paying with a card and I was done in 30 seconds. Awesome!

It's actually a satellite location for Vanderbilt health. Clean and well laid out. Bathrooms were clean. Plenty of seating.
