**UPDATE* First paragraph is my initial experience Read on for my final experience The professionalism, the compassion and the attention to detail cannot be beat. I only had to concentrate on my recovery. My attorney and his legal assistant took away all of my anxiety and worry, and with an injury that is worth its weight in gold. I cannot thank them enough. Reviewing my previous comments, it's almost like my experience at the end of my association with Hughes & Coleman was with a completely different law firm. I was a short time away from my window to take my offender to court when suddenly I discovered that my attorney as well as his assistant had left the firm. The attorney then assigned to my case failed miserably. Never was there a conversation about heading into court, in fact, never was it suggested that they pull phone records from the very young lady who rear-ended me totaling my car and sending me into months of physical rehabilitation. I often stated that I believed she had been texting or otherwise on her phone. Long story short, after signing paperwork to have the case ended (which again I was encouraged to do) and as I was leaving to volunteer to assist in Hurricane clean-up, I had no time to argue. A few months later I received a $5,000 bill from the ER. That was on me as I had signed the paperwork to end any further effort from Hughes & Coleman. Needless to say, my experience was sorely disappointing. What was promised, discussed and pursued by my 1st attorney was never handled with the care, conviction nor follow-through by the 2nd attorney who took over my case. The sense I got was that he couldn't rid himself of my case fast enough. The way my experience ended with Hughes & Coleman was vastly different than the way it began. I initially felt like I was in good hands-- at the end, I felt as though I was a great bother and needed to be dropped as quickly as possible. What a sham. I wouldn't suggest anyone trust that Hughes & Coleman will come through with what is promised. If they take your case, they should work tirelessly on your behalf- from beginning to the absolute end. That's what the ads promise. From what I experienced, there is no truth to their advertising.

This office represents my passenger in an automobile accident. I've been present for conference calls, meetings, and investigator overview, and find then not only to be VERY THOROUGH, but also available for ANY QUESTION and ANY CONCERN a client has. Justin, the attorney representing my passenger in the wreck, is AWESOME and willing to spend lengthy amounts of time on the phone, answering emails, and meeting clients whenever they have a concern or question. When life falls apart, like often happens after a car accident, it's comforting to have an attorney looking out for you! Addressing your questions and concerns, but also making sure you're getting the medical care you need. I've not once felt this firm has anything other than their clients best interests at heart. They certainly aren't "ambulance chaser" attorneys, and they follow your wishes in resolving your claim, even when it reduces their portion of a settlement. I've seen many attorneys who push clients to extend treatments unnecessarily, see doctors and practitioners just to inflate the claim value, and encourage clients to "run up as many bills as possible", just to increase any possible settlement. Hughes and Coleman, and particularly Justin, an attorney with their offices, never follow this nefarious practice. They're honest, across the board, even when it reduces a claim's value, or costs them money or fees. They believe it's better to be honest, than rich from misleading and fraudulent tactics. My hope is that you're never in an accident, or need an accident attorney. But if you are, give Hughes and Coleman a call. Meet with them. See if they're a good fit for you, and your needs. If you have the experience I've come to know, with them, you'll be happy you called, and pleased with the results they provide!

Although I have not been contacted back about my case just yet, because I literally just spoke with an intake assistant I forgot her name but she was very kind and listened to my plea. Although it’s a legal mattered, and they get so many cases a day, the fact she showed concern in everything I’ve been through really showed me this is a law firm who wants to help. Very professional and heartwarming conversation with the assistant if I can remember her name I’ll do another review!! (Please let me know who she is because you guys have an A1 TEAM!! ) Although I didn’t work with her initially she deserves much praise and commendation!!! CARESHA!!! Miss. Caresha although she woke me up out of my sleep, at 7 in the morning regarding my case, she was very professional and courteous. Although we didn’t stay on the phone very long I knew as soon as I got up officially for the day, I was definitely going to CALL BACK!!! Thank you so much for taking the time even with all your cases you handle throughout the day, to call Me back and make me feel welcomed. Cathy White & Barbara Hastings have been working on my case for a severe car wreck since September 2022. I can honestly say they are absolutely wonderful! They are both caring, compassionate & dedicated to their clients. They work hard every day to ensure their clients are focused on recovering while being as stress free as possible. I will always recommend both of these ladies to anyone & everyone! If you are handed over to a litigation attorney, then I highly suggest that you find someone else. The litigation attorney that I have is low-balling me on my settlement because I have preexisting medical conditions. I'm an innocent & injured party, but since my case is now not good enough for Mr. Coleman to be involved with anymore, I'm really not going to get anything from my lawsuit. The attorneys will receive their payment, of course. Sadly, by the time they get their payment & pay the medical bills, I will probably owe them money.

I could literally write a novella on my experience with H&C. I had the absolute BLESSING of getting Richard Hartsock as my final lawyer and he made me a promise he would see my case through to the end. He delivered on ALL those promises AND so much more than I could’ve EVER HOPED for!! Him and Christina Martin are, in my opinion, the heart of H&C and are ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT at fighting for the “little guys” like me!!! I will never be able to even try and THANK THEM for never giving up and getting top dollar on my case!!! I’m also INCREDIBLY grateful to Mr. Coleman’s son, who I never had the pleasure of meeting BUT on some of the final decisions he absolutely heard my heart just like Richard and Christina!!! I was injuries at work and Hughes and Coleman has helped me 100% of the way especially with my worker’s compensation claim. They were able to push blanket coverage for my physical therapy appointments and that has never happened at that therapy office before! The worker’s compensation keep letting my sessions run out and wouldn’t get therapy for a week or two at a time because of it, but because I had Hughes and Coleman on my side I haven’t had issues since. Any problem I have had with getting coverage for medication, surgeries, etc they have been able to get them approved for me within the timely manor that I needed it! Great team of lawyers! I had a consult for a disability claim. Well they mail me some papers to take to my doctor to fill out concerning my ability to work. I wish there was a zero to choose. A senior veteran, was having a stroke, not able to communicate, not knowing what was happening. He was beaten up by cops and paramedics. Punched, pinned to parking lot, having many cuts and bruises. Not taken to VA. Not receiving proper medical then or two months later. Had another stroke. Several things going on. A nightmare. Hughes & Coleman refused to help.

They handled my and my ex husband case. I got my settlement without any bad blood. But my ex is a different case they told him they never want to see him again. Why I don’t know. He had to have shoulder surgery from the wreck. They talk about what they get people but at the end of the day it’s all about the insurance the person at fault has. So it doesn’t matter how bad your hurt.

Unfortunately I found out they don't handle suits going before Court for Malfeasance or Personal Injury. At least that was explained to me from Attorney Jill by phone calling Columbus Day interrupting our family dinner. But did find very good representation everything happens for a reason.
