I am not sure how this place is so highly rated. Sure the rinse water was hot, but that was about the only decent thing about the car wash. The wash bays are on a straight 90° from the entrance lane, great for little cars but a lifted truck is near impossible to pull in a straight swoop. The wand hose in the bay we used did not freely oscillate making it a Cirque Du Soleil act to wash the back end of the truck. The soap pressure was lack luster & the rinse mediocre. The rinse did not run soap free through the line at any point in time. Wash bays were dimly lit (a typical Ponzi scheme for a car wash to ensure return customers) & the walls atrociously covered in what I can only assume is years of build up. A rediculously high priced basic car wash at a shell station will give you a better experience.

Has been over 10 years I always wash my car there since it's the closest car wash to me, but it's no longer the case. Operating hours says close at 10, but staff who work in the car wash seems can't wait to leave and closing half of the bays by 9 ish. Every time I go there after 9, staff seems pissed and not being friendly. Cars lined up to wait for 5 available bays. I kinda feel bad for the owner, his/her staff pretty much throwing customers away and slowly killing the business. I am now going to the new car wash by 176ave and 97st instead, at least their staff doesn't give me attitude when I go there after 9, definitely worth just an extra 1 min drive. It just unfortunate how fast it takes to ruined a long term relationship by providing bad service.

Good drive in concept but seems limited if you have a big truck. My GTI was easy to move around inside so no problems there. The water pressure couldn't remove the bugs stuck on my front bumper and license plate and wasted a whole session at my front bumper. Not too bright inside either, probably done on purpose. Soap continues to come out of the hose on the rinse cycle, which was extremely annoying along with the fact I couldn't move the hose into the proper positions to move around the car. Would've been cheaper at a car wash in the end. Almost $10 to partially wash a GTI is inexcusable, once in the light you can see the missed spots. I don't live in Alberta so I won't be back, if I did, I'd find a new place..

The car wash is decent in general it has multiple bays and the long line up to wash your car generally goes pretty fast. The bays are clean and the garbage bins are generally emptied on a frequent basis. My one complaint with this location is the now dated token operated system, some of the newer locations have the ability to pause while your washing so your not wasting your money while your switching between modes. Given the popularity of this location they should invest into to update it. Another great addition that I have seen before is a light near the bay which denotes when a bay is available, it seems people wait near the door because they are unsure if a bay is open or not.

I came here to wash my car about a week ago. Car wish is okay. I feel like the machine that controls the spray and modes is kind of old. It's controlled by a knob and cannot be paused like some newer car washes. You need to go to a machine by the cashier to redeem your dollars for coins. The machine itself is finnicky when accepting dollars in exchange for coins. Make sure you wait for the blue light to fade before putting in another dollar. The cashier gave me some sass for "not being patient enough", but to be honest I think the place should just invest in a newer machine. Especially given how busy their car wash is. One dollar = a minute of spray.

WARNING stay away their building is rusting and might cause damage to your vehicles! I went to wash my car this past winter and after I finished suddenly rusted pieces of metal fell from the ceiling onto the roof of my car causing dents and scratches. I filed a report (based on their procedures) saying someone will be in touch with me but no one did, few months pass before I remember after winter ends and reached out to head office they said pics not enough and claim they never received the report or any communication from this location as a result they will not repair my damages. Here it is for you everyone beware, don’t go there!!

A very terrible experience in this location. I drove in to the car wash few minutes before 10 pm. The guy shouted they will be closing when I was halfway when I put foam in my car. Then he turned off the power. I didn’t use my money and he asked me to leave. I asked him why and his response was rude and he said it was after 10 pm. I was gonna call the cops on him but I was rushing. He threatened me that I was trespassing in the property because I was there after 10:00 pm. I just nodded my head and asked his bosses card and left with my car full of foams. I wonder if he was in substances but I will sure be talking to the company.

Don’t go to Bay 9 if you want to save yourself the hassle. The coin gets stuck in the machine and doesn’t work. I asked a guy for help, so he gave me another coins. It ends up not working again, and then this time he says, ‘you should’ve just gone to another bay.’ How is that supposed to be my problem now? Maintain your machines well, don’t blame your paying customers for the malfunction. It’s not like I knew that machine wasn’t working, nor did it have any sign saying so. Other than that, my other experiences here have been decent and my car comes out looking fresh. Just avoid Bay 9 at all costs.

I went there in to car wash and lights were on and I got into wash bay .When I asked senior cashier to sale me some Coins she told me they just closed .I said okey and put my money into coin machine then she started saying I am trespassing. It just took 10 seconds to get 5 coins. If the car wash is open and SIGN SAYS OPEN AND DOORS ARE OPEN YOU are OOOOPEEEN and I am customer not trespasser. She needs some training for customer service so this bussiness. I wash my car here almost everyday bythe way.

I’ve been taking my car here for years now. Yes, they do have friendly staff. On my most recent visit on Nov 10, 2018, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they now have a pay machine that takes Visa, debit, and Apple Pay right in each stall! I tried Apple Pay and it didn’t work but it did take tap. No more withdrawing $20 just to get $4 worth of tokens. You can now pay as you go. Yay!!!

  • Nata Corte

You'd have to be a Larry David or Kramer to know they shorten the times on the wash and use tokens which are non-refunable. The staff are incompetent, lazy, and sit across from each other in the corner waiting for you to hurry up so they can go back to their corners. They also ask stupid questions that I got annoyed had to leave without purchasing anything to go another gas station.

  • Ben Berland

What is there not to like about HUghes? They often have the best prices for gas, and often have great car washes. I have been to this one a few times and they have enough pumps, so you aren't wasting your time waiting for a pump. They also had good squeegees and clean window cleaner, plus paper towels for checking your oil. Small things I know, but they make a big difference to me.

I come here only to wash my vehicles. 4 stars as The wash equipment is starting to show some wear. Always a stall available. Stalls are kept clean. Store is well stocked. I had a debit machine in one of the bays take my money but not work, the staff pointed me in the right direction for a refund and an associate delivered Tokens worth 1.5x more than I lost, personally to my home.

  • Ed E.

Self serve, Hot water, soap, lots of bays, quick, efficient; but...the time per token is unusually short. It might be cheaper elsewhere to sit in the car and have the automated wash type rip the paint off your car. A bit of stress of worrying about your antenna. Imagine the excitement of being confined to the car for 3 minutes, but more work washing it yourself. You be the judge.

Been going to this car wash for over a year. They use hot water in their system to help break down dirt and remove snow and ice off your car in the winter which is awesome. They recently introduced payment with tap in every bay so no need to get coins everytime. Its always well maintained too. Definetely the best place on north side.

Terrible car wash in desperate need of a upgrade, every vacuum in every bay has terrible suction, my grandma has better suction skills out of a straw! Each coin barely last one minute but if you were looking for a basic wash and for convenience of location then I give it just two stars or else it would be one!

  • Brandon Stevens

This location has free air to inflate your tires at. This alone nets a 5 star rating from me. I don't want to be nickel and dimed just to make sure my tires are properly inflated. Besides the above, this location has a large wash bay to wash your car in. They also offer Gasoline, Diesel and Propane fuels here.

I felt sorry for the lady who filled two 30 lbs propane tanks; it was around -27 cel. & never complained at all. She even told me I could wait inside while she filled the tanks. Plus, the fill valve was leaking, and a small amount of propane was spraying out. Hopefully, they have fixed the valve.

  • Terri-Lynn England

Just waited 20 minutes for an attendant to be able to fill up propane tanks. One was at the cash register and couldn't leave, completely understandable. Apparently the second person was in the bathroom, they never did show up. Finally gave up waiting and left with tanks still empty. Poor service

  • Brenin Clarke

Lots of bays all fully loaded with soap brush, wash, vacuum, car mat hangers, ect. Always steady with cars, but I haven't had to wait for a wash bay yet. Only negative is that this is NOT a coin wash, must purchase tokens from inside or a token dispensing machine.

  • Rene Bushore

Have been going here since it opened but the timers gave been shortened up way too much? I'm guessing but it is around 2 bucks a minute of use...pretty frustrating when 2 tokens (loonies) won't get your car soaped up or rinsed...otherwise it's a great carwash...

  • Tekeleabe Mekonen

I went to wash my car today and I put 3 dollar by mistake and its token only I asked front disk if they can check for me and give my money back not even trying. I like the car wash good room to move around but I hate the customer service. Not going back.

  • Josh Le

This is my Hughes of choice when I need to wash my car. This seems to have the most bays and you can get in-and-out fairly quickly if the snow hasn't just melted. Side bonus is having free air to pump your tires. I've used it for my car and bike.

  • Kyle

Used to love their car wash. Went there the other day and noticed they've changed the suction of their vacuum so it doesn't even pick-up small rocks. Their air dryer has also changed. Good thing the prices are the one constant..

  • Kristopher Rekken

Filled up propane tanks here all of the time. Great friendly service. Discounts for fuel when you fill your propane tank. Plus AMA discount on fuel. Only downside of this place is you have to go inside to pay no pay at pumps.

  • Brian Campbell

Good Car wash. Missing a star because they don't have a timer so you dont know how much time is left. Just put your coins/tokens in and hope for the best. Most times I'm not sure if you actually get the right amount of time.

  • Troy Wagner

Decent location, but I don't feel that the dollar per token gets you as far as other coin op washes in the city. Seems like incredibly short amount of spray time per token therefore making the entire wash cost much more.

  • mathew pearson

Always go here for my propane, staff are always courteous and pleasant, only downfall currently is that the beverage coolers inside have been out of order for a few months so all the beverages are room temperature.

  • Sz. D-Sz

Waste of time. On google they have it say open. 3 cars(including mine) at the entance and it is not opening. Have some respect and update your holiday hours!

  • Jennifer Maskoske

Reasonable cost to clean your car and love they have an individual at the front entrance to let you in. No guessing if a bay is free on busy days.

  • Lawrence Stewart

Ladies inside are rude and don't want to fill my 20 pond bottle of propane when I said 27 dollars is to expensive.. Don't get propane there

  • OmKas

Decent spot for self car wash, the best I've ever been in Canada. Gas station staff are very helpful and courteous.
