Huntington Park is a special place. It feels like an oasis atop this upscale neighborhood. Surrounded by refined buildings, historic hotels and beautiful Grace Cathedral. You can bring your small children here to play on the swings or jungle gyms. The play area has security fencing to ensure the safety of small toddlers or other youngsters. The beautiful fountain that dominates the center of the park is a replica of one in Rome, Italy. Notice the tortoises on the top which is what the fountain is named after. Neighbors gather throughout the day to relax or bring their dogs by to socialize & play. The historic lampposts give a lovely, romantic atmosphere to the park in the evening. All the vegetation is manicured and well cared for. Anytime of day, it’s pleasant to stroll by or through Huntington Park. Enjoy a moment in the heart of the City.

One of the nicest neighborhood parks in the city, well kept, dairy lawn maintenance, friendly neighbors, beautiful view of the Grace Cathedral, water fountain, and the nearby architecture of the hotel and residential buildings. Depending on the time of the day, you can enjoy the sounds of dogs and owners hanging out at the park. Or the kids at the playground with their parents. Occasionally two or three homeless people sleeping in the benches. Recently, more common.

Incredible park! On a sunny day, this park offers you incredible views of the surrounding ding buildings, including Grace Cathedral. Playground for kids is top quality, including a very soft rubbery surface that absorbs their falls nicely. Plenty of free 2 hour parking around the streets connecting if you are driving. Park is not terribly busy, but there are benches around the perimeter for a nice sit and chat while you enjoy this amazing park in the City.

Beautiful display of holiday lights in this charming park surrounding the water fountain! Romantic to see the cathedral as backdrop. We walked here after seeing a show at the Masonic Auditorium right across the street. Definitely go during the evening and then grab a night cap at the Top of the Mark or visit the Old Tonga Room. I love San Francisco but hate driving up these steep hills!! Don’t take your stick shift here. Enjoy the holidays!

Ohhhhh the European atmosphere here ! Not all parks in SFO are lucky to be surrounded by a cathedral and 5 Stars Hotels.(Grace Cathedral, the Fairmont Hotel, and the Mark Hopkins Hotel) Huntington Park is a quiet place that features a playground for kids, plenty of benches to kick back on with your book or just a pizza :D. There are restrooms available, too. Dog lovers, here is one more spot for you to chill with your dogs :)

Beautiful Nob Hill stopping place, right at the top! There are great park benches, a pergola for a walk, and central fountain, not to mention views of Grace Cathedral and famous Nob Hill Hotels like the Fairmont and Mark Hopkins. Huntington Park is easily accessible from California Street cable car and Powell Street cable cars. During the holidays, check out the Nob Hill Association Holiday Lights!

Half A Sweet Square Block of elevated park space to enjoy. The water fountain, the relatively new children's play area, the view of the surrounding buildings, and you could really stop and smell the roses on the edges of the park. I really like the fall colors from the tress on the rim of the park. I enjoyed just sitting here for an hour before I went to a Concert at The Masonic.

The review of the park really depends on what you are seeking from a park. For me, it was a place to pass the time reading and people watching. What it turned into was very little reading and a lot of dog watching. During my stay at a nearby hotel, this park acted as the neighborhood dog park. It was nice to have something like this to pass the time.

Excellent park in the middle of the neighborhood. Even though, it is on the hill, it is one of the few spaces that is feel protected on four sides from the wind because of the Grace Cathedral, Union building and other historic buildings that engulf the park. It is a great place to read or just hang out with friends.

This is a very nice park a top Nob Hill. The old turtle fountain is historic and yo sit and listen to Grace cathedral bells is one of the things I enjoy about being in this park. It also is the starting point for SF City Guides free walking tour - Cable Cars, Halfway to the Stars Walking Tour.

Right next to this park; a little forward towards the bridge, you have the perfect spot for this photos! Great perspective! Perfect to go for the sunrise as the traffic is much less and you will get the right light. Enjoy and follow my Instagram for more pictures at: @curro_cardenal

Beautiful park. Found this place by accident honestly. Serene area that's wonderful for taking your dogs for a walk or bringing kids to the playground. Basically a place where you can sit down on one of the many benches, open up a book and be at peace.

This is little, nice park, a bit of a hidden nugget. A good place to bring small kids to the slides. Park is well maintained. Not very many views to look at, but the majestic Grace Cathedral on west side overlooks the park, which is also very nice.

Delightful spot! It's easy to come post up for a couple hours of reading and relaxing. There is a small children's area for the little ones, but it's never noisy or out of control. Don't be surprised to find an art show when stopping by.

I was there in the night wasn’t very pleasant wasn’t very receptive but today when I went, the glory was was there you can see the beauty the fountain is beautiful the layout is wonderful, and it’s in the shadows of a wonderfully made

Kids enjoyed playing in this park. Lots of seating area and free wifi. Park was clean. Lots of people walking their dogs.
Playground
Kids enjoyed the playground. It was clean and had the nice bouncy material to walk on.

Lovely space but the north end of the park is ruined by the disproportionately large children’s playground This is supposed to be the nicest part of the city not the middle of suburbia. …

  • Julius Vedasto

I've never been grateful to find a park. We walked around Chinatown and Nob Hill and after walking up and down those hills, we needed a place to sit and stop our legs from shaking.

  • Brittanie Adaire Hikes

Super cute park right across from a beautiful Cathedral. The park is small but does offer a playground and a fountain. There were Christmas lights hung in the park making it festive.

  • John

Beautiful park surrounded by epic and classic SF architecture with a fountain in the middle. Also, a great dog park, with human and dog water fountains available. Love this place!

  • Brian Woodgate

This hidden gem is worth the hike (or cable car ride) small but full of benches, fountains, and foliage, it's a perfect respite for anyone needing a moment. Dog and kid friendly.

  • Michael Wu PhD

Nice Park with a beautiful fountain. Great place to find a play date for your dogs. If you are a dog lover, you will see many playing in this park when the sun going down.

  • Dan Hayes

A nice little park across from Grace Cathedral where you can sit and take a break from your day. Also a good park to take the dog for a little break as well.

  • AnnaM Jacobi

Quite a few homeless people. Though the park was being cleaned while I was there the homeless were bathing in the water fountain without their pants.

  • syed manan

Beautiful small park for dog lovers and people who want to enjoy some outdoor time in nobhil area. This park also has kids playing area.

  • Gibu George

Small but peaceful. Small but all purpose park, small but bigger enough for your workouts, dog walking, kids play and some green shade.

  • Chris Maltby

Beautiful little park that's blocks from my home. I love to go there and sit watching the dogs and their owners.

  • kimma G (Gravy's on the Griddle)

One of the most expansive and breathtaking views from atop San Francisco. Quiet, meditative, and contemplative.

  • Frankie Vasquez

I took my books to read ,there were kids playing and people out ,dogs running around peak park vibes …

  • Chaneel Walker

Love the quiet and clean area of Nob Hill in the center of historical hotels and Grace Cathedral Church.

Lovely little gem park here in the heart of the city. If you are a dog lover, you must visit this park!

  • Matty B

A one block city park directly in front of Grace Cathedral. They sometimes put on light shows here.

  • John Hudson

It is amazing here. Dogs apparently don't need to be on leashes.
