Wow, what an amazing dinner. Got this place recommended by a friend, and am so glad we went there! The place is famous for their roasted duck & goose, and if you go there, please try that! We had the 1/4 duck with dumplings, and the goose-stuffed potato pancakes - and everything was so delicious. The food came surprisingly quickly, and the taste was great; especially the spices in the pickled red cabbage surprised me very pleasantly! The bread dumpling for the 1/4 duck was kind of boring, but the rest of the food was super good. We did sit inside - the restaurant is located in a basement, which was warm (it's also 30+ degrees outside, so everything it warm) - but it wasn't super noisy, which was a nice surprise. We came during a busy time, so the staff wasn't super on top of us - we waited for 2-3 minutes to have our table cleaned from the previous person sitting there, and we had to go look for some waiters to pay. Otherwise, they were friendly and smiling, so no complaints there - they could just have used 1 more person at work, I think.

Stumbled across this lovely, brick-tunnel restaurant as I wandered round on my first day in Prague. The service was friendly, kindly allowing me to leave my bags away from the table, and the menu was rich with promising hearty meat dishes. There was a little wait for the food, but this was only noticeable if you're expecting the speed of service somewhere with pre-prepared meals can offer. Plus, I had a decent £2 beer to enjoy in the meantime, so it was no hardship! When the food arrived, the taste, portion and my setting forced me to liken myself to a Medieval king in the best possible manner. This was a sumptuous feast - the duck and pork were cooked to perfection, the latter with a crisp, herbed edge and two delicate, flavoursome mustards and the former with moreish dumplings and braised cabbage. After I had eaten more than I thought possible, i located the summer garden for a Krusovice Cerné and sat in the summer warmth with a small kitten opposite and gentle background chatter in a peaceful setting. This was a real find. Praise also to the manager for his friendliness and warmth in dealing with two English speakers with limited Czech!

A very cosy and cute restaurant in Prague. The whole theme is ducks and for a person who adores ducks, this was basically a dream come true for me. I loved that they don't just serve ducks, but they also include that in their decorations and everywhere. I loved being there and spending time with my significant other, even though the food is not Halal and I wasn't able to even try the ducks they do serve grilled cheese with potatoes though, which is exactly what I tried and it was awesome. The desert (apple strudel) was out of this world and really was the perfect ending for such a wonderful experience. I'd definitely go there again. Maybe next time I'd have more vegetarian options to choose from (although it is not the restaurant's fault and I believe it is a cultural thing )

Went there to try Czech food, service was fast, food servings was huge, if you are not hungry you can share one mains with 2.5 persons. I want to clear about previous comments regarding tips. 10% tip was added to the bill automatically without showing to you first. They just confirm the items verbally, then present you with the card machine to pay, the credit card receipt only shows the total with the tips included. Only when asked they provide you the itemised bill with the 10% added on. So don't go there if you don't want to pay 10% tip. So you won't even know you have been charged 10% tip if you are just provided with the credit card receipt.

Excellent food and large portions. Good choice of dishes on the menu, but still with a clear focus on their specialties. Nice ambience in a cellar (a bit more air circulation would certainly help to reduce the food odor). The service was fast and rather friendly. One drawback was that the waiter asked whether he could just add 10% of tip to the cheque, since this would be the usual amount. This kind of behaviour left a slightly bitter taste on the visit at the end. Still, it was not a trick or something, but rather an unprofessional handling of the topic, which should be avoided. So still 5 stars and a recommendation from my side.

Our favourite restaurant in Prague! I am taking my parents to Husinec today for lunch at about 2 in the afternoon. We tried the beef tartare as a starter, very crisp rye bread and the beef is delicious! For mains, we ordered a 1/4 roast goose which is their house special and it comes with 3 different kinds of dumplings! We also tried the grilled pork loin with mashed potato - all good! We were seated in the garden which has a big umbrella so it was really comfortable! The restaurant also has a nice indoor area for those who prefer less sun. Overall Highly recommend!

Amazing food. We had beef soup, roasted goose and beef tartare. All were amazing and tasted wonderful and were quite fairly priced. They were very accommodating to us only speaking English, and also understood us wanting to share the food between us. There was a 10% service charge but it was well worth it given the excellent service. The only negative comment I could give was that the dumplings with the goose was not what we were expected. Still excellent nonetheless.

Husinec by zasloužil lepší místo. Obsluha za 1. Fakt jeden pán, tmavý vlasy, brýle, ten je neocenitelnej. Jídlo slušný. Nejste u Pohlreicha ale nebudete si stěžovat. Chodili jsme tam i na obědy a nikdy jsem neměl žádnej problém. Pivo Krušovice, což někdo rád, někdo zas ne. Jinak venku terasa příjemná a tichá. Ceny v pohodě vzhledem k tomu že jste u Václaváku. Vevnitř by to chtělo menší úpravy. Dlaždice na zemi jsou hrůza. Celkově vnitřek by zasloužil menší rekonstrukci. Přístup personálu to však dožene. Fakt můžu dopoučit. Pokud nehledáte TIP TOP místo, a chcete se najíst nebo tam poslat nějaký to pivo, Husinec je dobrá volba.

Food was amazing and our server served food really intelligent ,service was very professional. don’t understand what other reviewers talked about 10% tip, because we didn’t have it. Our server printed receipt and I saw all the prices and it didn’t include tip so maybe they changed something. Totally recommend and prices are not so high as the other places in city centre.For two people, we ate whole 2 meals with drinks +salad +pancakes,and we paid only €40. You should probably try grilled chicken, it was so juicy and tasty.

This was soo good I have been twice and going back again today. The specialty for duck and goose is excellent. Their pork knuckle has also been marinated in herbs and beer for over 24hrs, cooked overnight at low temperature for excellent flavors. You will have to wait for 30-40mins after ordering as this is how long it takes to finish it off in one of their big ovens to get that crispy skin.

Absolutely delicious food just few steps away from Narodni Muzeum Praga - we have been greeted by very nice and friendly Staff, and had a meal in the bakgarden. The food was fairly quickly and nicely served, very decent amounts, but most importantly - IT was amazing The meat tender and perfect, juicy and not overseasoned, beer very tasty and the dessert mouthwatering.. The prices very reasonable and fair for the quality and amounts served. Would definitely come back for more !

We were a group of 4 and went there for dinner. I recommend the roast duck, roast goose or the pork knuckle (the quantity is quite big) and had some beers. Very good experience in this local restaurant beside Prague city center. The waiters are quite friendly and very polite. The food portion is very generous in regard to the price. I will come back to this restaurant every time I go to Prague. We took the whole goose for our lunch. It was amazing! If you are a duck lover, you must go there. It is not expensive, it's just reasonable. We spent about 60 euro for 4 Person. It actually fits more for 6 person. I remember a whole duck was about 40 euro and for 4 person. I would like to request the owner and the chef, you are doing a great job, please don't drop the quality! I will be back soon someday!!!!

Food is amazing and fresh, but we weren't very satisfied with service. Long waiting time for drinks, around 20-30mins first time, second time we ordered another beer, and after 20mins we had to remind them two more times about it, and got the beer finally when we were ready to leave.

Was fortunate to spend 10 days in Prague. We ate here three times. The staff is absolutely wonderful. We purposely selected times when we knew it would be less crowded. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite peaceful. The food was very good. We had the roasted duck, pork knee, pork cutlet, and pork collar. All was very good. Na to, že jste v centru Prahy u Muzea, se zde dá velice slušně najíst za příznivé ceny. Ikdyž jsme přišli na polední menu v pozdějších hodinách (kolem 14hod), měli v polední nabídce ještě vše. Jen by to chtělo trochu méně solit, zejména u polévky. Ale třeba vepřové se zelím a chlupatými knedlíky bylo velmi dobré, vepřové bylo krásně měkké, vychucené, bez nutnosti odkrajovat tučné či šlachovité části, chlupaté knedlíky měkké, žádná tuhá koule.

The best random place we have ever visited.. It was to cold outside so we just saw a restaurant and we went there, well it was the right choice.. Really nice atmosphere! The food delicious, not pricey and the service top notch. Just perfect.

It's not a good experience to try goulash or either eating a cheese pasta. The inside of the restaurant don't smell goof, like mold. The food came out so fast that the dumplings were a piece of bread. First time,I had the best pork knee ever in Prague. The meat is softer than I expected. The side dish is also great. I love the pickles with the knuckles as well. Sauces are just match with the meat. The day after it, I had my second dinner there. I was surprised by the writers as they seemed recognized me. Also the duck I tried didn’t make me down. The draft beer is good too.

We ordered three steaks. We asked that only the one comes without the sauce, and instead all three were without the sauce. And none of them was cooked properly, we asked that the steaks were cooked well done and all of them had blood in them. The service was also very slow.

Kousek od Národního muzea a Václav. náměstí jsme objevili nádhernou restauraci s nerušeným posezením pro 2 i skupinu v netradičních sklepních prostorách, vkusně zařízené a cítili jsme se tam velmi příjemně. Denní menu výborné, nabídka pestrá za velmi přijatelnou cenu do 150,-Kč včetně domácí limonády.

This was our first stop and last in our Czech visit. Wonderfully prepared traditional dishes with focus on some goose entrées. We discovered out favorite beer here too! They have Krušovice in tank and making ebrryones lives better. Everything was grand, from the food to the drink.

A lovely hidden gem in Prague, with a delightful cavern dining area and some delicious traditional food options. The goose, duck and knuckle were all excellent - as were the starters and the beer, which is served straight from the tanks. Super friendly service too.

We came to this place after reading many positive reviews on google maps. And they were right! This place has amazing food and the atmosphere is authentic and amiable. Finally staff was very friendly and helpful. In conclusion: excellent value for money!

Would describe it as a hidden gem. Very delicious food, warm atmosphere that makes you wanna stay for hours and on top kind and welcoming staff. The prices were just the cherry on top (so fair). On our next visit we would make sure to come back.

Amazing place to visit! Their duck and goose taste great and overall it's quite cheap! Very recommended!

It is not easy for me to give 5 stars for a restaurant, but this one really exceeded all expectations. Awesome atmosphere, best and friendly staff، we went for two days in a row for the roasted duck. Prices are very reasonable. Recommended!

Lovely food - famous for their roast goose and duck. Great service. Huge portion - it came with a variety of dumplings with red cabbage. Apple strudel was nice. Would recommend it if you want to try our traditional czech food …

Ordered the roasted duck here and it was an absolute delight. Tasted the same dish in another restaurant in Prague, but in terms of price, quantity and quality, this was my top choice. Will definitely come back here if I visit again

Great place with spacious terrace, serving good Czech beers and traditional food. Very nice staff and affordable prices considering it is located right next to the Wenceslas Square.

The roasted goose is tender yet crispy on the outside. The goose could probably feed two. The beef bouillon is heavenly, light but you could taste the beef. Beer is great, goes well with the roasted goose. Service is friendly.

The experience of food was good. However, do aware that the tap water cost money and that the waiter will ask for tip f2f ( the service itself has no problem tho)

Incredible food and beer! Fantastic level of cuisine! Splendid service! The pork knee was so soft that it was possible to chew it even by lips :). Garlic soup was also the best. Dark Krusovice beer was charming too.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. We liked it so much we went two days in a row. The goose dish is delicious, the service is very welcoming and prompt. Don’t think twice about coming here. Další

I spent 3 days in Prague before I found the meal I was looking for and this was it! Get the goose, you'll be a very happy customer. Sweet, attentive staff and AMAZING food await you in this beautiful hidden gem!

First Time there and it was very nice. Services were very friendly and supportive. The Food came After 10-15 min. So you Dont Need worry to starve. Everything came on a big plate full of CZ. Signature dishes.

If you like we'll prepared meat in generous portions, this is the place to come. Use the garden behind the restaurant if the weather is nice, it's cosy.

Goulash was nice but I found food in general was average fare. Price was OK. As other reviewers said, 10% tip is presented in a way it feels non negotiable.

I tried their roast duck & gulash, both of which were amazingly good. The terrace on the back is really chill. Service was quite fast and overall nice vibes
