Very weird policy of not even allowing us to come into church because we are uncomfortable with sending our kids to nursery. The ushers wouldn't even let us step inside as first time guests unless we handed our children off to people we don't even know!! There is no basis to this policy and the Lord will not bless a church that turns away God fearing families that believe in keeping the family together to hear the message! Very strange to cast out families! Not a family friendly church if you prefer to keep children (even babies) with you. Don't waste your time! I'm from California and I've been going to this church for over 19 years. It's an independent Baptist church and has programs for all ages. No one at Immanuel is perfect, but it’s evident they love God as they follow Jesus Christ and the Bible. Everyone's entitled to have a bad day once in a while, but they’re friendly most of the time. I've known the pastor for many years. He's helped me many times with issues that come up in life and I've seen him help many others as well. He's a great preacher in a church where preaching Christ is the focal point. Immanuel has done a lot of good in the greater Jacksonville community. It is rich in Baptist history, and I’m confident it will continue to do God’s work for many years to come. You can find out how you can know without a doubt that you will go Heaven; and then as you attend regularly and grow, you can learn how to show other people how they can one day go to Heaven as well.

Pleasant and spirited. Friendly. The preaching and music are lively and exciting, but not worldly or carnal. Has the right balance of hymns and godly special music. All of it lifts up Christ instead of the singer or the atmosphere. The preaching is biblical and strong; more truthful than flowery. I would liken the pastor to a doctor who tells it straight and who focuses on the real and true needs of the patient and how to help them. Thankful I have my kids in the Christian school. The school is in harmony with the direction and purposes of the church. Blessed to receive the benefits and encouragement from this Christ honoring ministry. All in all, it points me and my family to a closer relationship with my Saviour.

I feel like I belong here. My life has been better since I found this church. The pastor, the people, and most importantly the God they serve are excellent. Go to the services, get to know as many people as possible, and serve in a few ministries for one year. Then look at your life compared to now. You will experience the same thing I did, growth and joy. If your life isn’t better in a year, stop going. Document your experience in a journal. That will be worth something to see what God does in your life. May God bless you, your family, and your friends. Do something different. Make a difference!

To Mr Brown: there are ladies that wear pants there every week, so...and yes, there are ushers in the church. To Matt and Lauren: The most important thing in the world is to spread the gospel. It may be hard to believe, but it is truly done out of love. If you love someone, you do what's right for them, even if they hate you for it. Edit: I will leave this review as is, and maybe leave another, but let's just say this review did not age well lol.

This church is the best church in Jacksonville probably in Florida. Their pastor is calm,nice,and very intelligent. The school and college are second to none teaching their kids that the bible is true and to build their life upon the Word's of God. Their ministries are all about who can we get in The House of God this Sunday. If you come here, listen and get involved then you won't regret doing it.

Absolutely love this church! Every place has faults, but that wouldn’t stop you from going to a hospital if you were sick. This church truly has a heart for people and for reaching lost souls with the Gospel. Thank God for a church that is still willing to stand for right in a world full of compromise!

I visited this church and have never seen anything like it. The people were dressed nice but were incredibly rude to my family. Apparently ladies are not to wear pants....who knew? They seem to be very much like a cult. I noticed security guards, fake smiles and no Spirit of the Lord in this place.

I recently attended one of their services at my grandmothers rehabilitation place signature in Orange Park and what a wonderful job they did speaking on the returning of Jesus thank God for all of you all and God will bless H and everyone of you thank you all very much

Wouldn't go anywhere else for church. The music is uplifting and old-fashioned. The preaching is practical and perfect for all walks of life. My family and I have grown in the Lord since joining. Come, see for yourself!

Love this church. The Lord's presence is definately in this place. The word of God is preached and the people are very friendly. I highly recommend this church to anyone who is looking for a place to connect with God.

Great School, Glad I was able to grow up here from kindergarten to Graduation. After seeing what public schools are like, realize how lucky I was.

They teach the word of God it's like a home away from home your always welcome by everyone.If you ever need a hug it's right there from everyone.

Friendly church. Beautiful music and great preaching. They do have a deaf ministry with an interpreter, nurseries and classes for all ages.

So blessed our family found a church to call home. Authentic, caring, truth telling, and most importantly God honoring!
