Muslims should beware of doing anything that may offend or disturb those who come to the mosque for worship. This includes disturbing those who are reading Quraan, praying or remembering Allaah in the mosque. It is an evil deed (sayiah) to disturb the people in the mosque by talking about worldly affairs, because this is offensive to them and distracts Muslims from doing acts of worship properly. There is a hadith from Anas bin Malik RA, Rasullullah PBUH said: ‎
يَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ يَتَحَلَّقُونَ فِي مَسَاجِدِهِمْ وَلَيْسَ هِمَّتُهُمْ إِلاَّ الدُّنْيَا لَيْسَ لِلَّهِ فِيهِمْ حَاجَةٌ فَلاَ تُجَالِسُوهُمْ “There will come a time when people will gather in a mosque and they intended nothing (at the time) except the worldly matters. Allah doesn’t need what they do and don’t you sit with them.” [9]

Great mosque in a very diverse neighborhood. Most mosques/houses of worship usually are filled with a certain type of people. This is the exact opposite. I've never seen another place of worship this diverse. It wouldn't be surprising seeing an African, an Arab, an American, a Latino, an Asian all praying next to each other. Really exemplifies the universal approach the religion preaches. Very friendly and open door policy with non-Muslims and their questions. Oh- can't forget Ramadan feast. Yummy!

Zakat is accessible. Coat hangers too. No TV's. Small courteous wudu. Small courteous shoes rack. Good Imam. Loving adhan. Smart Beautiful children. Arab American or African Native. The masjid committee expresses great character, love, and they are very welcoming. I pray Friday Jummahs here and my experience has been great so far! I really love the Muslim community and it’s a great way to unite amongst other Muslim brothers and sisters.

Wonderful place of worship. May Allah bless them. They used to have daily five prayers, but now to the virus I do not really know. Here you can see how diverse Islam is. There are African muslims, Arab muslims, Asian muslims and much more.

Very accepting mosque that's a culture boiling point into itself. You have many Arabs, Caribbeans, Africans and African Americans usually hanging around between salats. It'll make you feel like family

Please note that from December 2019 the Masjid has moved to 605 Rogers Ave (corner of Rogers Ave and Winthrop St, entry on Rogers Ave). The 1288 Nostrand Avenue location has been permanently closed.

Not Muslim, and have never been inside here, but the people around are always super nice. Solid part of the neighborhood.

Please try to pray indoors as you are in front of the Imaam if you are praying outdoors on the sidewalk.

They had quranic learning on Saturday afternoon, nice to see young kids reciting holy Quran.
