Loved the grilled butter abalones. Haemul (Seafood) soup was quite bland despite having a bowl full of seafood. The seafood contains several shellfish which tasted overcooked and chewy. Sashimi was fresh but it gets quite boring after awhile. It was in need of some lime / lemon. We felt that it tasted better by dipping it and cooking in the soup. Did not appreciate the raw gizzards. Service was very slow that day due to manpower shortage, however the waiter tried his best to kept the customers entertained.

Abalone

We did not picked the seafood from level 1 market but went to 2nd level instead. We did our homework via google and the ratings were indeed legit as we absolutely love the experience at Jacky's seafood. The servers are so warm & friendly and make us felt at home. We are amazed with the huge spicy seafood stew, although we felt that it could be spicer. Our favourite is the grilled fish, so fresh and was grilled to perfection. Price is reasonable too. Highly reccomended!

The seafood market downstairs looked a bit daunting but lucky google reviews on this place were good and we settled here for lunch upstairs. Staff were so friendly and helpful, especially the hardest working elderly lady in the pic here. We orders the best king crab and some octopus. They also gave us free shrimps and cockles soup. We were always looked after and also met Mr Jacky…funny man thank you for a wonderful lunch.

If you are a foreigner in Korea, visiting Jalgachi Fish Market, look no further. It can be really daunting to pick your own seafood and have it cooked somewhere if you don’t know any Korean. Would recommend going up to the second floor and finding section 9 under Jacky’s seafood and ordering there if you’re not bent on picking out your own live seafood. Jacky is super friendly, not pushy, and gives his honest recommendations. Price is very reasonable for the quality of the food and the service. He makes you feel right at home along with the other ahjummas serving.

Came mid-week for late lunch. As others have said, prices here are higher than you expect, more similar to a seafood restaurant. The premium is for the very fresh seafood. We ordered the raw fish bibimbap, the abalone rice soup, seafood pancake and chive pancake. Despite being only one of two tables, food took a good 20-30 mins to arrive, the pancakes were too oily, and the other two dishes lacked flavour. Waiter was very friendly, and ambiance was pleasant, but it wasn't anything special.

Jacky's is must to go place when you go to jalgachi. We loaded with lot of side dish while waiting our food cooked, The owner teach us how to eat korean way. The waitres Mahfouz help us a lot since we can't speak korean (the owner speak english very well too). we get free fish soup, shrimp, and and fresh abalone as compliment. All food taste really good, really enjoying my time eating here

Fantastic place for seafood. Waiter Mahfuy can speak good English and was great at recommending must try dishes. They are also willing to customize to our desired portions which cost less . They also gave us free complementary dishes for us to try. Definitely worth going and their customers are mainly from SEA, sg/msia/indo. Go and try their seafood

Absolutely amazing seafood served by some of the most friendly and accommodating people in Korea. Some of the food may seem adventurous to the western palate but they will help you understand how to enjoy it if you ask and it is delicious. I accidentally burned my finger quite badly in the fish soup while serving it (my fault - too much soju) and the very kind lady looked after me and used various remedies on it and today (the next day) it feels much better. So a double thank you!

My friends and I are on a Korean tour. We arrived in Busan today and decided to visit the fish market. After arriving, we went upstairs to Jacky’s Seafood. The food and service is excellent. Jacky is very warm and welcoming. He was attentive and explained all the dishes well including how to eat. Mufaz served us well and with a a bright smile. We were completely satisfied from beginning to end.

I was in Busan for two days and had dinner at Jacky's for both dinners. Grandma serving us was fussing over us like we were her grandkids, making sure we have hand towels, sauce, she was really nice and made us feel really well taken care of. Chef made really good food , we enjoyed it. I've wanted to try raw octopus and am glad I did. Highly recommended.

Great food and great service!!! We were taken care by sweetest Ahjummas. They helped us debone our flatfish, they poured the fish ship for us. The most memorable for me would be the white kimchi banchan, seafood pancake and the fried flatfish. Price wise it was beyond the budget we set for our group but totally worth it.

LOVE the food here. They are so welcoming and showed us the best way to eat the seafood. All of the employees were nice. Definitely took stress off our group from having to pick and buy the seafood on the first floor to bring upstairs. The grilled abalone and soy marinated crab are chef’s kisses. Five ⭐️ to Jacky and Mahfuj for their exceptional customer service.

Local markets can be overwhelming sometimes with so many options and people calling out to you. I checked beforehand and decided to visit here due to online comments. It was definitely the best choice. Staff was so friendly and helpful. They gave me complimentary shrimps and cockles. They offered free soup too but I was too full at that point. I really enjoyed my time here and definitely recommend.

Jacky’s sea food… One of the oldest and local sea food( over 56 year’s experience) restaurant in Jagalchi fish market . English staff available ( friendly) Good service with complimentary dishes. Delicious spicy and none spicy food

Friendly staff, easy to find on 2F at store 8, English menu and speaking staff. However I found it to be quite overpriced, it’s a large portion but the sashimi was pretty tough and not too flavoursome. Breakfast time may be better as the fish is likely more fresh.

Amazing food and experience! And the service from the waiter and his english was spot on! He explained clearly the sizes and for how many people and also suggested a really nice dish. The 4 of us were very happy and ate just enough without waste. Would recommend this place in Busan.

Coming to Jacky’s seafood (stand 8) was an awesome choice. The woman and the fish cleaning guy were very kind and helped us to try the appropriate seafood. They also offered us a free fresh fish soup at the end to dogest all the dinner. Fair price! Highly recommended

Top notch service from the Ahjumma and the food was fresh, delicious and very affordable. I will definitely come back again the next time I am visiting Busan. So glad I had my last dinner in Busan at Jacky's Seafood, Kiosk 8 at Jagalchi Market!
