An unfortunate meeting experience Overall with this triangle of a corporation. We are still waiting for AC service.. We will permanently use any mom and pop owned businesses and locally community built ownerships and NEVER with a corporation and heres why. Let’s be clear, JW now works Under an umbrella corporation along side with Adeedoo Plumbing And there is a third corporate entity at this Apex. This is likely a corporate merger in response to Covid restraints and was a contractual inspiration likely as not to help keep businesses alive. Our story is we had an Adeedoo representative named Josh come out who had correctly identified long-standing pipe conditions in our basement, Where he exposed that we had major long standing leakage and a silent long-standing drain problem that is seeping into the foundation of the house. He took photos and confirmed it with us and was consistent in his ability to lebeing able to solve the problem. He also mentioned that we had a refrigerator line that had a bite mark likely from a rodent and he was willing to replace that line with a copper one… He gave us a basic expected price for his services at that point. All is well. He then tells us he Needs to bring a drain specialist out the next day to survey our drain issue. Sure. The next day Josh and a Ramon Show up 25 minutes early and we greet them in our driveway. Ramon is wearing a buttoned up, puro white bleached shirt, unblemished stitched name tag and that Pristine iron-on American flag on his shoulder. This is the drain guy. We go down to the basement and NOT once did he make an effort to physically inspect the drain. The majority of the conversation consisted of his insistency that we needed to fix the refrigeration line to our refrigerator, Stating he’s prepared to cut a hole in the wall And was adamant in side hustling a $1500 up charge for a service we NEVER called in for initially. . Remember we have Josh who confirmed a $2500 pipe job replacement. This Ramon Is the “drain guy” and he did mention in justquick passing that “the drain work would likely cost more than $2500” … but Still persistent in pushing a sale for a refrigeration boxline for our refrigerator. He never stepped foot inside the basement to confirm to us exactly what type of drain workneeded to be done. We stood there and told him that the drain issue is likely effecting the foundation of our home Ramon is Completely disconnected and uncompassionate to the moral of the fact that this is likely a condition that needs attention. Nah - He just wanted to go upstairs,continue the conversation of pushing side revenue for the refrigeration box/lines. Conversely; Josh already offered to replace the bad line with a copper one that was already inclusive with the $2500 pipe replacement job. Dios Mio boys. Just because you have a representative that rings true on every confirmatory level of meeting customer expectations through the guise of candor and honesty; Only to be sabotaged by a higher up; who demonstrated no effort, interest, nor cordial sympathy to addressing the initial job and possible contract; window dressing. Basically corporations of this nature seemingly employ people that think they can run good verbal games.I gave him plenty of opportunities to reconsider dropping the refrigeration push: but that machismo Kept on running the gears upstairs; And in the end no resolve, conversationally, he offered no verbal confirmation, no confidence in providing a true honest assessment when it came to see if this drain guy was the proper candidate for the job. In the end still offered the job to Josh and he had stated he would “call us back later that day” but he never did call us back to confirm. ok. Bye. So Adeedoo : Had two workers come out on company dime and time, One of which successfully came close to a contractual agreement for a job but never came back to shore it up and y’all Send out another one that thinks he’s Got schtick and verbal game and he jogged on losing over $5000 of potential company revenue.. Go locally owned and be happy.

I've used JW Plumbing, Heating and Air (part of Service Champions now) for years to do my furnace/air conditioner maintenance and they have always done a wonderful job. My 17 yr old gas furnace and the 30+ yr old AC system were starting to fail and were not worth repairing. I decided to have JW do a new Heat Pump system for me. They have now finished the process of having abatement done on the asbestos on the ductwork (a subcontractor, Superior Environmental, that did a wonderful job. JW arranged for the abatement, gave me the name of the company, phone number and person to talk to there so that I could get all my questions asked before they came out to do the job). The JW's installation crew has now installed the new Lennox Energy Star Heat Pump system and new smart thermostat and it running well. All the prep is done for the new Electrical panel which should be completed very quickly once Edison comes out to do their part involving the meter. The JW employees have been really good about getting appointments for the various portions of the project done in a very timely manner. Overall, Justin, Denise and their whole crew, plus any sub contractors they deal with, have been very responsive with any questions, concerns or requests I've had on the project. There were a few minor items that I asked them about that were niceties, not necessities, and that were not in the original contract. They have graciously added those in for me for no extra charge. They have also been really responsive in working with me on what methods that were available and comfortable for me for payments on the work plus letting me know about any discounts they had and any tax rebates that were available. Normally on a project of this size I would have gotten multiple estimates, but didn't in this case because I wanted JW to do the work on the new system and any future maintenance. JW has always done a wonderful job for a fair price every time I've had them out. Overall they are very knowledgeable, reasonably priced and believe in good customer service. I would definitely recommend them to anyone for their HVAC needs.

From the first time you speak to someone on the telephone until the service is completed you experience excellent customer service. I recently purchased a new heating and air conditioning system to replace an older system. . Everything happened exactly on the timeline as described. From the initial estimate appointment to the follow up phone calls about the sales call service, the on-site visit to prepare for the insulation and finally for the actual installation. On the installation day the installation team arrived on time, set up inside and outside in a way to least disturb me and my neighbors. The installation supervisor explained what was happening during the course of the day. The entire installation team was friendly, professional, and courteous.After the job was completed, the team cleaned everything and left no trace they had been there. A checklist was completed by the installation supervisor and reviewed with me to ensure my complete satisfaction. It was stressed to me that if I had any questions or concerns to let them know immediately as it was the goal of JW Heating & Air to provide services which exceeded their customers expectations. This is a company I would highly recommend. Your time and money will be well spent.

We had the original JW Heating put in a complete replacement of our HVAC system. They were a wonderful family owned business. It was purchased by Adee Doo/ Service Champions. We did an extensive remodel of our home and paid the new company over $5,000 to overhaul the system during construction. After the last finish work was done, we had JW come back to make sure all was good and fully operational for both heating and cooling. Spent almost $1,500 on that. When the house was re-occupied one room was not getting heat. Had the same technician Art come out ( once you've been assigned a technician you can't apparently switch according to Art). He said he couldn't tell without a full inspection with service and possibly the blower was malfunctioning which would be around $1,800. We distrusted this so had someone else come out. Turned out the register vent wasn't fully open in the ceiling. All Art would have had to do was get on a ladder to check this! We'd had a previous issue with Art that he wouldn't do a simple fix on a thermostat wire which he wanted thousands to fix by tearing out a finished wall. Also, we discovered that the filters had not been changed as specified in the last seasonal service we got ($1,500). So bottom line here is that they are basically commission sales people and not primarily technicians. Do not use this company or take on faith their advertising.

We called JW Cooling because our Nest thermostat was not getting power from the circuit. The technician Christian arrived on time and went to the attic to check on the AC unit. After 15 minutes he says the circuit board needs to be replaced and it will cost $1200! Now I know the AC unit is working fine as the same company serviced it about a year ago and it was functioning perfectly up until 2 weeks ago when the thermostat wasn’t powering on. I suspected it was just a wiring issue to the Nest thermostat and I indicated that in my service request. After we said that we would get other companies to check and get a quote the technician said he would lower the price to $900 which was very suspicious. When we didn’t agree to the repair, he went up the attic again and then says he thinks there’s nothing wrong with the circuit board and it was a wiring issue and it would cost $350 for the repair. At this point, even if we still thought we were getting ripped off (to think we are repeat customers!), we wanted the problem fixed right away and agreed to pay the $350. The AC was up and running in 5 minutes - probably he just taped a loose wire that supplied power to the thermostat. He was in and out of the house in 45 minutes. We will NEVER call this company again for any AC or heater issues. Neither should you.

After the hot summers over the past four years, we finally decided to get an AC system installed. We interviewed 3 contractors and JW Heating and Air stood out above the rest with their knowledge, recommendations, friendliness, and competitive pricing. We are so delighted with the service they provided. We decided to update our 15 year old furnace at the same time. The controllers they recommended have such user-friendly screens (we were thinking about Nest but Ted recommended another as being easier to use. Comparing notes with a neighbor who has Nest, they said it can be a bit cumbersome. We are very happy with the choice). Our AC system cools like a dream! All of the JW Heating and Air workers who came to the house were clean, friendly, and super nice people. I was so impressed when they brought their own hand soap and paper towels to use in our bathrooms- so considerate. They always put on shoe covers whenever they entered the house. Their work is excellent and clean up was fantastic. While the whole process took about a week (new heating and air systems), everyone involved was a pleasure to work with. They facilitated city inspectors and helped us get the final sign off inspection. So happy we finally "bit the bullet" and got our updated heating and new AC!

I had Christian out from JW to service my AC a couple weeks ago. I was hesitant to bring any one into my home due to Covid-19. The office assured me that they are taking the necessary precautions to keep us, and their staff safe during this time. Christian came on time and wore gloves, shoe covers, and a mask. He even disinfected every thing he touched before he left with an organic cleaning solution. He was very kind and genuine, and asked genuine questions and expressed a lot of empathy with how we are doing during this time. Stated he is very grateful to still be working and very blessed. He also said its been very hard on him to see so many families struggle during this time since he's interacting with new people every day who are no longer working or had lost their job or business. Also informed me that they have been keeping busy with air purification solutions that can help remove viruses and other things from the home, he left me information on it and wasn't pushy at all about selling me it, it felt it was necessary to at least let me know during these times. I am unable to make that investment at this time, but I referred JW and christian to a couple friends who are interested in having them out to install. Thank you very much!

Hugo is an excellent technician, he is methodical and detail. I have a Lenox HVAC system with a 2 zone function. The thermostat showed an error code 114 on Friday (11/24/23), heat came out low, 2 zones are not connected. The same error code happened a week earlier, the company sent me technicians to fix the problem on Wednesday, the day before thanksgiving day, all seemed fixed, but unfortunately on Friday, the day after the thanksgiving day, the thermostat showed error code 114 again, same old problem. I called the company, they told me they would send me a technician on the following Monday (11/27/23) morning. Hugo came, he listened to my experience with the issue. He said it could be communication service disrupted. He would check the mechanical functions for my HVAC system if they are properly worked. He checked all the vents and found my heating mechanical is good but air conditioning is not working. He then focused on the wiring, found 2 wires were broken. He fixed the wires, the thermostat's error code 114 disappeared. It has been a week from the day Hugo fixed the problem, the thermostat is normal. Heat flow is very good. I appreciate Hugo's methodical and thorough work mannerism besides friendly and courteous.

Let me first say that I have done considerable business with JW Heating and Air and I am shocked at the behavior they are currently demonstrating. In the past, I have had nothing but pleasant and fair experiences. JW Heating and Air installed a drip pan for my AC unit. Unfortunately, they wired the water sensors incorrectly. This failure allowed a substantial water leak in my attic and a bedroom ceiling to go undetected. The resulting damage / repairs costs were about $2,200. Upon bringing this situation to their attention, I was met with confrontation and defensiveness. I briefly spoke with their HVAC manager, Cary, who was rude, and combative from the start. After that, he never returned phone calls or emails. Weeks later, I reached out to the company again and this time spoke to a supervisor named Xio. Unlike Cary, she was polite, but like Cary, she did not return phone calls or emails. I tried for over a month to get this situation rectified fairly, but JW Heating and Air made absolutely no effort to remedy the problem and have been confrontational at almost every step. It is obvious that I will never have any business with any of the aforementioned companies and I warn you of the same.

HIGHLY recommend!! JW Heating and Air is a first rate, professional, 5-star company! Quality and customer service are alive and well! It is so refreshing to see a business embrace these fundamentals. My experience from the first phone call to the service call itself was nothing but pleasant and professional. Communication was great. My service technician, Peter, was outstanding! He was punctual, kind and considerate, and very knowledgable, and extremely thorough. He carefully took his time in diagnosing the problem with my heating unit and explained every step of the process to me to keep me in the loop. He was not going anywhere until he got to the bottom of the issue. I appreciate this kind of transparency. It puts the customer at ease when everything is clearly laid out and all options are presented. Bottom line is: Peter and this company clearly take pride in their work and hold their customers in the highest regard. I'm not one to usually write reviews of my dealings with service industries, but my experience today compelled me to share my satisfaction. Great work! Will definitely recommend to others!

Completely immoral and horrible business. In 2012 they installed what claimed was a new AC unit inside and on the roof. I’m just learning the roof unit was from 2008. They essentially sold me a unit that was used and presented it as new. Certainly with a new price. The five year warranty paper they gave me would have been void within a year. Years later I called for service and their inspector told me the unit both inside and outside needed to be completely replaced for over $15k, partly due to mold in the unit. After getting another opinion there were photos taken showing no mold. And the unit was fixed for a few hundred dollars. This kind of immoral behavior baffles my mind. I just don’t know how you could use a customer’s naivety to try to take advantage of them when it’s clear I’m just a middle class guy who can’t afford these kinds of extravagances. I don’t have much recourse, given this happened so long ago, except to leave this review to warn potential customers they are dealing with dishonest people.

Christian was our tech and he absolutely nailed the job....! He came in to adjust some dampers for upstairs for even distribution of air last week and we had him come back to set up a bi- annual service (which we decided to pay a monthly basis for a discounted rate) of our entire home which is quite significant. He took photographs showed me everything that needed to be done, detailed everything before I approved the work, the price was good I felt confident in his abilities and the work that he did. He’s serviced three industrial size central air conditioning units and condensers, furnaces, changed out all air filters in addition to servicing six split units (wall units and ceiling units combined). Thank you so much for your professionalism and work ethic Christian. You answered all of my questions and provided real-time solutions which made just made sense! You clearly know your craft well. We are moving into our new home and our AC unit wasn't cooling and where in desperate need of maintenance for our unit but we hassitated to contact a company. However having children and moving it was too much. We contacted JW plumbing as we read great reviews. Immediately the next day the appointment was scheduled. Christian was the technician that came and met with my husband and we could not be more grateful for the amazing service he provided and how respectful, honesty and understanding he was. He let my husband know what the issues with the unit was and gave us several options and was never pushy. He gave great honest advice and went above and beyond to help us. Thank Christian we will continue to use JW services because of him for our AC repairs. We could not be more grateful to you. My family was so happy to have our AC unit working again. I called JW Heating & Air after receiving a special for a $49 furnace and A/C inspection. I was worried that for such a low price, I might not get exceptional service. I was wrong. It was definitely a 5 star experience. They called to ask about any time scheduling concerns, then called again when the technician was on his way. The technician (Christian) arrived right on time, was friendly, courteous, and very professional. He did not rush and thoroughly checked out both units. When finding an issue with the A/C unit, he recommended a repair, but did not push and did not give a "today only" price. He also offered answers to some allergy (and clean air) concerns, but again... did not initiate any high pressure sales tactics. I will definitely call this company back after researching and making some decisions... and will also request Christian as the technician.

This is an honest, reputable company. There was an initial problem with making my appointment. Within 24 hours, the owner of the company called me to explain the circumstances, take responsibility, apologize, and offer me a discount. I understand that problems happen, sometimes beyond our control, and how this company dealt with it shows that they live their values. He dispatched the next available technician who arrived within 90 minutes. Gerardo, our technician, was wonderful. He was professional and even put on booties and a floor covering to make sure our floor stayed clean. He was extremely thorough and explained everything. Although he did not have the part we needed, he found a solution so we had our heat restored and will be back to finalize our repair once the part is ordered. We are fans of JW because they know how to treat customers.

Christian arrived promptly, checked air conditioner and heater. Very up front about their condition. Set me up with appointment for estimate on replacement. Personable but didn’t waste time. Greatly appreciate his frankness. Gerardo extended his day to check my AC. He followed the protocols of the company. Quickly determined the problem was not within my home. Did a check of the unit on the roof. Found the problem and was able to replace the part. Checked for temperature after replacing. Explained the issue clearly. Helps that all was under warranty. . Paul looked at my old water heater and confirmed that it should be replaced. He provided me with an estimate explaining the work to be done. I scheduled a date for the replacement. This company was amazing! I originally called them in an emergency, and even though it was a holiday weekend they scheduled a same day evaluation and didn’t charge any emergency fees. They take 24/7 seriously! I am an HOA rep and we had really bad issues with pipes in our garage and with pipes attached to multiple individual AC units. Because JW has HVAC specialists and plumbers, they were able to solve our issue on one day and with all their team members. Other companies had told me I would need multiple people to pick up the project at different phases, and this was so much easier. The employees were respectful, knowledgeable, efficient, and kind. I enjoyed every step of working with them, from my first phone call to my final walk through of the finished repairs. I highly recommend them!

Our shower drain was clogged and was causing water to backup into our bathtub and toilet. We also had a separate issue with a leak under our kitchen sink. Paul got the shower drain unclogged quickly and we haven’t had any issues since. He diagnosed two issues with our kitchen sink, and we ended up installing a new basket strainer and faucet. We decided to purchase the faucet ourselves so he had to come back for a separate visit to install that. In the process of installing it, we had an issue with our countertop that had to be addressed first so we again had to delay him and have him come back for a third visit. All went well the last time and we are grateful that he took the time to address our needs and never charged more than the initial quote. Highly recommend working with him!

JW has done a few jobs for us. This time they installed a split (AC and Heat) wall unit in a small apartment and insulate the attic above it. Their team was on time, clean and, respectful of our property. As it turned out, no fault of their own, the unit they worked so hard to install was a lemon. They ordered a new unit and as soon as it arrived later in the week they installed the new unit and, eureka, it worked like it was designed to do. These guys worked long and hard and trouble shot this situation every way possible. They apologized profusely for something that was not their fault and fortunately we had time on our side as the apartment was vacant. All in all, they went over and above to keep their end of the contract and we now have a great unit that works perfectly.

When you request an inspection, repair, or installation from a company that provides such services, you never really know what kind of customer service you'll be receiving from the repair person. Today I was rather fortunate to have have met Gerardo. Gerardo arrived promptly at our agreed upon time, inspected, and then proceeded to review his assessment of the faults our system experiencing with me. As an electrical engineer myself, i appreciated his thorough assessment of the technical faults our system was experiencing, and subsequent recommendations for repairs. My experience with Gerardo today was nothing short of perfect. It must also be noted that along with his technical expertise, Gerardo had a tremendous attitude and a gift for communication. This review may sound cheesy, but I’m honestly writing it because of how great our experience was. Gerado Tecorral was beyond amazing. Im always a little nervous and skeptical when a new person comes in to repair something in our home. Right away he was so kind, respectful of our space and explained every step. He was also super nice to our barking dogs and took the time to sit and let them get used to him. He kept us updated through the whole process, there was a good amount to fix and he showed us before and after pictures of everything. I would hire him to fix every part of our house. This guy deserves a promotion! Seriously. Super thankful we got him and chose to go with this company :) You can tell they care about their customers.

We were looking to replace our 30 year-old unit and got estimates from various installers in our area. In the end, we went with the Costco Heating and Air program. In our area, JW Heating and Air were the vendor that did the work under the Costco program. The installers were awesome. Thank you Jesse and his team (Miguel and Anthony). Very professional installers and patient with all my questions. There are many companies who are qualified to install AC and heating but JW stands out because of the installers and quality of work. When we did the HERS testing, the inspector also commented on the quality of the installation. It was nice that the owner called to follow up on the installation and to see if there were any issues.

We have a two-story craftsmen in Los Angeles, snd when our two a/c and heating units went out last year, we quickly decided on JW. Not just because your price was fair, but because your staff was helpful, intelligent, informed, skilled, honest, and committed to getting us what we needed. We are very happy with JW. We’ll today, we had an issue with our upstairs unit, so Leo and Gerardo came out to help. They assessed the problem, fixed it, and even checked out the downstairs unit and made some adjustments just to be safe. Gerardo and Christopher were our amazing service technicians. They would have received 10 stars but there were only 5. They were polite, engaging, efficient, competent and knowledgeable and did an outstanding job! They did not rush and took the time to explain what was going on with each of our units. They observed COVID protocols while in our home which gave us great comfort. Gerardo even remembered being at our home for our last service and recalled details about our units. Needless to say, we were impressed. We now have a maintenance plan with JW and my husband and I look forward to many years of utilizing their services. Two stars because I liked the technician. I had a contract with these guys. Cancelled today. Technician was great. No complaints. He showed me a picture dirty coils on the inside of the HVAC units (2). They don't clean them as part of the twice a year maintenance I paid for, even though the unit is open and they can use a can of self-rinsing cleaner ($6.98 at Home Depot) and a few minutes to get the job done. Technician told me that it would be $468 to come out and clean the two units. Received an email from them shortly after the visit confirming the price. Called to cancel, was told a manager would call me in 15 minutes or so (I did not ask for a manager - not a Kevin). Over an hour later, no call.

These guys were terrific! They were on time, did a full diagnosis of the problem, presented options for the needed repairs at reasonable price points to ensure I had full information (for example: do I prefer to clean the filter or replace it? Repair the aging motor or replace it with a new one? Etc). The lead team member, Leo, showed me before/after pictures of everything they worked on to ensure I understood the work they completed and they follow that up with a full report detailing the work, with photos, for my files. They were polite, professional, friendly and fast. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone with heating and air needs. Great service!

They were very quick to get someone out to assess our sewer pipe. When Paul arrived, he was incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He and his team reviewed the situation and gave a great recommendation on how to proceed. While it’s hard to actually go underground and see the work done, Paul did show me the camera videos (live) after the work was complete. When the team finished filling the hole they’d created, we did have a small problem with the access pipe sticking out too far. But Paul responded quickly and came the next day to resolve it. Prices aren’t for the faint of heart, but it should pay off in the long run. And Paul was great to work with.

I am a subscriber to JW's monthly $20 membership where they come out and do scheduled check-ups on my HVAC, water heater and plumbing. I figured I'd give it a shot, but was planning on cancelling it after my last scheduled water heater check-up. Well, I'm keeping it now... Min came over, checked the water heater, checked my plumbing and gave me some great preventative care measures that I could to keep my house in top shape. And he fixed a problem with my toilet, that was a minor issue right now but would have become an issue if he didn't spot it and fix it for me. Min is awesome. And I got to say... the program is a good value.

I had my heating service done today 11/11. The person who did my service did very well. His name is Marcos. He inspected our wall heater and did went to attic. The attic was good, where our wall heater connects. Notice in our wall heater some parts will need some replacements.He explained and showed to us the parts had some defected and will not last. My husband and I agree to replace the defective parts. We want a peace of mind. We didn’t want to chance anything to happen... Marcos did a great job on our heater. Marco is a well trained, experienced air conditioning and heating equipment technician for one of the best companies for in Los Angeles with whom we have a long history of excellent service. Marco has an excellent work ethic, he diagnosed the problem with our condenser, explained what had to be done, how much it would cost and assured us that he had extensive experience repairing the problem. We expected that it would take several days for him to receive the parts needed for the repair but he went out of his way to pick up the parts and did the repair the next day. Gerardo came to our home to provide our 1-year service check and he could not have been more professional! He came prepared with gloves, face mask and booties to enter our home and then worked efficiently. We needed our filter replaced and he was able to do so on the spot for us. They scheduled their technician to come out and take a look. Marco came in and took a look and changed out the thermostat and also changed the fuse at the heating unit. Marco came today for our regular servicing. He easily and readily accomplished everything we asked for: adjusting the dampers, explaining how the unit fans work, explaining and pricing our choices for installing attic fans. The service was very thorough. We had a mini split system installed last year, and it wasn't turning on. Our technician Josh traced the problem down to wires that were shorting, causing the breaker to trip. Duncan came to my house conducted the AC tuneup on 7/26. He was very professionally checking each of the room temperature, he checked the compressor, and also did the attic inspection. There were some issues that need to fix, however, due to the age of the AC, I decided not to waste the money, I will wait until the AC failed and replace a new one. I will consider hire JW when I need to buy a new AC system.

JW originally installed our a/c and heater in 2016. JW was not the least expensive, but worth the additional cost. Our sales person was Dustin and he was great throughout the process. They quoted me over double the price of the AC installation to repair it.
