HORRIBLE!!!! NOS AMARGARON EL CUMPLEAÑOS !!!! 8 de la tarde . Estuve 20 minutos esperando en la calle lloviendo y todos mis amigos dentro !!!! El motivo: el camarero de la entrada CERRABA LA PUERTA EN LAS NARICES!! MUY BORDE, E INCLUSO DESAGRADABLE!!! Hasta unas señoras que les dejaron pasar querían invitarme a entrar con ellas en su mesa para que pudiera estar con mis amigos. Sinceramente no se puede tratar así a la gente, primero porque no sabe quién eres y Segundo por el trato inhumano. Mis amigos hablaron desde dentro que me dejaran pasar ya que había sitio en la barra que es donde estaban ellos tomándose algo por el cumpleaños El individuo de la puerta excesivamente desagradable CON TODO EL MUNDO que preguntábamos para entrar. Y SIEMPRE CERRABA LA PUERTA EN LA CARA. ( ya que salía gente del lugar de forma continua ) . Una experiencia horrible que desde luego ha amargado el cumpleaños de mi amigo. TENIENDO QUE SALIR DEL LOCAL YA QUE A MI NO ME DEJABAN ENTRAR.

La persona que tenían ayer 19/10/2023 trabajando en la puerta fue un completo maleducado. Fuimos 5 personas, y entramos cada uno según íbamos llegando. A todos nos puso problemas para entrar, con aires de grandeza y malas formas. Hasta ahí vale. El problema llegó cuando vino nuestro último amigo y le tuvo esperando bajo la lluvia, habiendo sitio de sobra dentro del local. Preguntamos al personal de dentro, que en todo momento fueron muy amables, y nos aseguraron que le dejarían pasar. Ellos lo intentaron pero la persona de la puerta hacía caso omiso. Después de 10/15 minutos esperando nuestro amigo fuera y nosotros dentro, no pedimos la siguiente ronda, pagamos y nos fuimos. Es una pena que un local con un concepto tan chulo tenga a alguien así trabajando de cara al público. Además nuestra percepción no fue un tema aislado, ya que más gente del local estaba comentando sobre la actitud tan poco profesional de este trabajador. Definitivamente NO volveremos.

This is without a doubt the best cocktail bar I’ve experienced and certainly number 1 in Madrid! The bar is a throwback to an old fashioned traditional Scottish library, it’s incredibly elegant whilst retaining a rustic and authentic appeal that is incredibly hard to find. we loved the antique furniture, books and artwork (the attention to detail is sublime - like walking into a high end Harry Potter movie (just look at the pictures….sorry, I know we weren’t meant to but couldn’t help ourselves!) The drinks were delicious and the staff were always very helpful and attentive. We met the owner of the establishment who is a young Scottish gentleman who was incredibly welcoming and took the time to chat with us for a while and explain the history of the bar. I wish we had a cocktail bar like this back home, it’s genuinely an amazing boutique experience that is a must visit when in Madrid.

Detalles cuidados al mínimo, pendientes de cada nota y el servicio exquisito. El precio es algo elevado pero merece la pena, los cócteles buenísimos y llenos de encanto. Lo interesante es el concepto, algo oculto exclusivo y para muy poco. Hay nivel y se nota… dos horas que se pasan rápido… te atreves a entrar? Id y probad!! No olvides de resevar… fotos y videos para guardar la privacidad no están permitidos…

Por fuera una floristería, ingresas a esta, luego ingresas un código y de pronto se abre una puerta a otro ambiente tan misterioso, de luz tenue... la ambientación y todo está de lujo, al igual que el servicio. Nuestras bebidas tuvieron un costo de 12 euros cada una. Muy recomendable hacer reserva, nosotros tuvimos la suerte de que disponían de una hora libre en una mesita, así que aceptamos y así disfrutamos del speakeasy. No permiten tomar fotos o vídeos en el interior.

Fantastic speakeasy with amazing cocktails! Wonderful staff! Great, relaxing ambiance. Cool tunes playing quietly in the background. It is a hidden gem. It requires a reservation. Be sure to read your confirmation email about how to find and access the place. It is hidden. I didn’t read it and there was initially some confusion. Definitely worth a visit for a couple or a few friends. The air conditioning is excellent too! Photos inside are forbidden, though I see a few others snuck a snapshot.

Unassuming and hidden on the outside, but once you're in, you're in one of the best cocktailbars, if not the best, of Madrid. Drinks are original, and tasty. Don't expect crazy, over the top glasses. None of that is necessary, just great cocktails. Seats are also very comfortable and the setting is extremely beautiful. Food is also very good, definitely something to order if you're feeling peckish

Jacks holds a high position for a reason. Their drinks command respect through flavor and presentation. You'll be ordering and served house specialty cocktails in creative drink ware. Their menu is easy to understand as it’s split into taste categories. Arrive early and go on a weeknight if you want to avoid crowds. The interior is beautiful and the chairs are comfortable so it's worth your wait to visit. You'll be served an experience.

One of the coolest speakeasies. Small and cozy so its not that collapsed and the attention is more personalised. The theme of the place and decoration are incredible, appreciated. Drinks are very good and you're even allowed to get a beer which is not that common in speakeasies that only offer cocktails.

Nosotros que íbamos un poco por la experiencia de la entrada, y el echo de ser un bar oculto, nos quedamos un poco decepcionados. La cola de gente en la puerta no ayudaba mucho, no creo que cueste tanto escalonar las reservas. Además tardaron muchísimo en servirnos la copa, como 45min, y después al cabo de apenas media hora ya nos avisan que última ronda que cierran…..

Well designed speak easy with easy to follow directions, delicious drinks and great service. It seemed like multiple people that worked there spoke English, which was a nice relief from my husband and I butchering Spanish and pointing at items as we have been at other restaurants.

Stellar experience. Jack’s Library was unforgettable. The staff was so friendly and personable. Service was amazing. The cocktails are craft, unique, and of great variety. Not to mention the exclusive experience and dark academia aesthetic. 100% recommend this to any Madrid residents or travelers.

I mean… this place is totally overhyped. Yes, the concept is cool but the service is slow, sloppy and ask you to leave after an hour of being there. Take into consideration they take half an hour to bring your drinks.

The most GORGEOUS hidden bar in Madrid. The place really transports you inside someone’s personal library. Decor is super cozy, you feel like taking a nap! And the whole theatrics of entering it….superb! The cocktails are delicious too and the staff is super sweet
