I brought my cat to Jane Animal Hospital on September 11th to seek help due to her mouth being sore. The veterinarian told me that she has gingivitis and is overweight, and the only option for my cat is surgery, and most likely will need all of her teeth removed which will cost me $2,000/$3,000 or more depending on her mouth. I then asked the veterinarian again if there was anything I could now for her pain because she was having a hard time eating but the veterinarian told me she is not prescribing my cat any pain medication/antibiotics because my cat is apparently "too overweight". However, the veterinarian suggested for me to use liquid mouth wash to help with killing the germs in her mouth and to also buy her Science Food Diet Oral Care, but again, my cat could not eat hard food at the time so suggesting that was not the answer I was looking for. The whole time being there, I felt like I was being judged by the veterinarian and her assistant for my cat's situation. They did not show my cat any compassion or empathy. So the next morning my cat was having a hard time eating her wet food ,so I decided to bring her to another vet for a second opinion. This veterinarian saw her right away without any appointment. Once I brought her in, he weight her and said that she's a perfect weight for her breed. Once he looked in her mouth he said that she has three cavities and has to have them removed. This surgery would cost me $800 not $3,000. He then gave her a shot to help her with pain which will last her for a few days and he also gave me some pain pills to give her if needed. This veterinarian was unbelievably supportive and showed nothing but empathy towards my cat. And yesterday she had her surgery that went very well. Please do not bright your pet to the Jane Animal Hospital. They are money hungry and they do not have the best interest in your pet. If you do bring your pet to this awful place, please, please get a second opinion.

It was our first trip to the Jane Animal Hospital, my one year old Rottweiler (Maggie) has a sore leg. We were greeted by the super friendly receptionist and she gave my girl a treat. Maggie was already won over. Very promptly we were taken into the examination room. I have to say at this point I am realizing how nice and CLEAN everything was! The Dr came in after a small wait and did her examination on Miss Maggie. She was fast and efficient and was sure of her findings that my poor baby has torn her ACL. She was also very understanding and kind when I told her that I wouldn't be able to pay for the surgery right away. Most vets I'm accustomed to can be sometimes pushy and will play on your emotions and love for your pet to pressure you into an expensive procedure and list of diagnostics. We decided together that we would like to try a course of anti-inflammatory drugs paired with rest, relaxation and time to try and heal her knee. She also gave Maggie more treats. Then the Vet Tech came in and we settled up for the visit and there were MORE treats! (Or course I was asked each time if it was allowed) Everyone was so kind and loving towards my dog that it made me feel so much more calm and the bill was very much lower than I had expected. I even called back a couple times afterwards to ask some advice regarding leg splints and gravol to keep the baby calm as she is still a young energetic dog who is supposed to be resting. Overall I'm thoroughly impressed with the service, expertise and professionalism I experienced at the Jane Animal Hospital and I will continue to bring my precious baby girl there as long as I live in the area. I'm sure Maggie will be happy to return as well for more delicious treats and lovins and pets! 10/10!! Would highly recommend!! Thank you for making us feel at home...

After a very difficult experience with another animal hospital in Toronto that resulted in the death of my dog, I did a tremendous amount of research before selecting Jane Animal Hospital for the care of my newly adopted puppy. This research included scouring online reviews and asking for recommendations from both veterinary professionals and dog owners in my neighbourhood. Dr. Sterbinsky and the entire Jane Animal Hospital were consistently recommended for their skill, transparency, availability, protocols and reasonable pricing. As an anxious puppy owner, I had a lot of questions which span the usual topics (ie. puppy teething, food, behaviour, vaccinations) to very specific ones regarding equipment, delegation and safety measures. The vets and staff have always been receptive to my questions and have answered them with more detail than I expected. My puppy Coco was recently spayed by Dr. Sterbinsky. Knowing about my anxiety, he called me the evening before the spay to walk me through all the relevant specifics which not only eased my mind, but also gave me the sense that he cares deeply about pets AND their parents. On the day of the surgery, Dr. Sterbinsky and staff moved my puppy's spay to be the first procedure of the day so that I would not spend the day in anxiety. Coco received a lot of attention during her time at the clinic as was evident by the numerous techs who came to the front to pet her before she was discharged. This told me that she was not just another patient number and that the staff had time to see her, care for her, and be with her. Thank you to Dr. Sterbinsky and the entire staff for taking such incredible care of Coco, and myself.

I brought my dog here for a checkup and vaccination. I was pregnant and also had my young daughter with me. It was cold out that day, I’m talking under 10 degrees but we weren’t allowed inside due to Covid protocols(which is understandable). My dog is wary of strangers(I had told them this when booking the appointment) but the receptionist just opened the door and put his hand over my dog’s head to pet him without greeting him properly first. Obviously dogo pulled away and got nervous. I wasn’t at all upset but I immediately said, “my dog is shy and you have to let him smell your hand first.” To which the receptionist responded with a dirty look, as if I shouldn’t be telling him how to approach my animal, and just took the leash and went in. My daughter and I went to a coffee shop to wait for the call from the vet saying that my dog was ready for pickup. We came back and knocked at the door and the receptionist looked me right in the eyes and went back to doing something on the computer. He made my little daughter and I wait outside the door for thirty minutes in the cold before he finally got up and brought the machine so that I could pay the bill. He then proceeded to say, in a very condescending tone, sorry for making us wait but it was Monday and he was busy with paperwork. I mean it took less than 3 minutes to pay and get my dog but he made us wait that long because ‘paperwork’ !? I was considering bringing my dog back here for a skin issue so decided to check out some recent reviews. The negative reviews have prompted me to share my own experience and warn others of what they may face. I’ll find a better option for my pet.

My first puppy! I wanted a place that would have sincere interest in the wellbeing of my puppy, and not looking for different was of getting into our wallet. Somewhere they I can get honest and practical advice on what to do and how to treat our new pet. I found all of this and more. The Jane Animal Hospital has such kind, caring and informative people starting from the opening of the door to the goodbyes as we exit. The Veterinarians and their assistants are so good at asking questions and making sure they get to the bottom of everything. My puppy already had a cough at 3 months old and was still missing a vaccine. They advised to wait for the cough to go down (this cough is normal to catch when around a lot of other dogs) and then they would give him his vaccine. They called and wrote to check up on him and then I finally made the appointment with lots of reassurance that he will get better and that he was healthy enough to get his vaccine. I feel very happy and stress free knowing there is a place i can safely go to that will look after our little one so well. Very clean, welcoming and friendly atmosphere We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place that will take care of your pet they way you would want a family member to be looked after.

We recently took our cat for a routine check up and a young vet spent about 20 seconds and said everything looks great but your cat will need teeth cleaning, he's 9 years old which is totally understandable. The year previous they had only recommended using dental food. We received the quote later that day for almost 3k which noted a possibility of 6 tooth extractions. Now I found that hard to believe he had gone from use dental food to pull out 6 teeth, so we called them and they said that it would be confirmed with x-rays but it's likely to be necessary and cats don't show pain. Well I decided a second opinion was in order and went to an amazing and patient vet who reviewed his mouth and said no way would 6 extractions be necessary even before the x-rays and after the procedure which was 1/3 the cost I might add needed 0 tooth extractions and just needed a good cleaning. Needless to say I question whose best interest this vet has as extractions are costly, takes a couple weeks to heal and were not even necessary! I highly recommend you get a second opinion before any surgical procedures are performed here.

We have switched to Jane Animal Hospital for a long time now and could not be happier. Every time we need to visit the hospital, we get accommodated the next day or the day after, which is great that we don’t need to wait for a long time for an appointment. The fact that they’re open until 9pm is also a big plus as once we were able to walk in for an emergency situation around 8pm, all other hospitals were closed at that time. Their online chat as well as their responsiveness over the phone is fantastic. Super friendly and caring over the phone. The vets always call us to follow up and sometimes before the appointment to ensure everything is going well before we go there for our appointment. We are always reminded of the regular visitations such as for vaccinations etc. Their doctors are friendly and caring too, knowledgeable and always trying to provide what’s best for our dog, they never prescribe if they don’t feel the absolute necessity for the drugs, x-rays, etc. Overall very satisfied and recommend them. I am sure our dog is happy too as he always happily walks in with them lol.

I have trusted Jane Animal Hospital to take care of my pets for several years. I have a nervous tiny dog who is a rescue, and he is very comfortable with Dr. Johnson which is always a relief for us. Recently he had to go in for dental and we were worried about the wait time since it is a busy animal hospital with lots of important surgeries to do. Our dog’s trauma gets triggered waiting in a cage. Dr. Johnson made sure to schedule us in at a special time to minimize the wait, and Dr. Sterbinsky ushered him in to complete his dental first and make him as comfortable as possible. He performed some difficult tooth extractions on our teeny dog and Mickey is doing great a few days later. We have been very grateful to be able to contact a vet anytime to see our pets on short notice or give us advice on the phone, and feel confident that they are in good hands. We never feel rushed which we really appreciate. The reception and technicians are always friendly and welcoming. Thank you, everyone at Jane Animal Hospital!

Majority of the staff have good customer service but the few vet tech’s I’ve dealt with have zero empathy or care with how they deal with not only myself but also my partner & a friend of mine who also bring their pets here. Last visit was where I had enough, I decided to switch animal hospitals as a result. The receptionist saw how upset I was and was kind enough to try to make me feel better but the issue in itself was hard to overcome. They never have appointments available in coming weeks, you must book a month in advance. Their “same day” appointments become available at 8:30a when they open, you call exactly at 8:30a and somehow nothing would be available. God forbid you had a pet emergency at an animal hospital, they won’t take you or give any options other than being told “take them to an emergency hospital” and not be suggested where to call. This also happened about a couple months ago. I was told to google it. It’s safe to say I wouldn’t trust the life of my pets here anymore.

To make a long story short, I Took my cat Sushi here for his diabetic treatment and testing, he had passed away unexpectedly in May while I was away for a few days, and not one follow up call, no card, nothing. I myself had called the clinic twice since his passing to ask questions, one of which was possibly to do a necropsy. The only follow up call I received was if I wanted to go through with necropsy and what I wished to do with his after life care. Meanwhile, I am grieving harder than I ever have in my life, and traumatized with what happened. A call from a doctor, 5 minutes of their time, would have made a world of a difference. But I guess money is the only motivation for the clinic. I thought I picked a clinic that had a heartbeat and really cared about their patients and pet parents. The doctors are great, and I am happy with how they were with us, but that’s about it. I have already decided to move on from this clinic to another for the rest of my animals.

Fall of 2022 We took our sweet family cat in for a sick emergency visit in the afternoon. That night he passed away. We shared the devastating news through email and left a message with reception to pass the news to the vet. To this day we have not received any condolences. Nothing at all, not a call, email response or a note, no empathy. We fully understand humans make mistakes, not everything will have an answer (although we have plenty of questions). What hurts is we lost our beloved family cat of 15 years and nothing from the vet which had ruled out any cause of concern earlier that day. I had brought up the fact he had clasped on the floor earlier that day. If I could rate this place 0 STARS I would. Oviously there was something going on, as he passed shortly after. Edit to add: I should not have to write a review to get a response. When you had my number and contact on file.

I took my very nervous dog Korben to Jane Animal Hospital for the first time today to have a broken nail removed. My pup is a rescue and EXTREMELY nervous and afraid around other people. It’s been hard finding a vet in the city that is not only very reasonable, but also very understanding of Korben’s situation. The staff at this animal hospital are exceptional. They made me feel very comfortable and confident that my pup would be okay in their care. They needed to put Korben under sedation because he was so terrified, and they called me with updates during the process. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re like me and have a very nervous pup and have had little luck in finding a good fit for your furry friend, this is the place for you. Thank you, Jane Animal Hospital, for making our experience seamless and stress free, and for caring about the well-being of my dog.

My first visit went well, I really like this hospital and the doctor that dealt with my cat when I brought her in. About a month or so later, I needed eye drops for her and I called the vet, had to leave a message and never got a call back. Went online to chat with their online agent after hours and I wish she had been more reassuring, but she promised me I'd get a call back about the drops as soon as possible. I ended up getting a call back 2-3 days later and only to hear that they are working on it. After that, I got no follow up and no drops for my cat. I continue to come to this vet for the veterinarian, as he was great with my cat. However, I have not had great experiences with customer service yet and it's really disappointing. I ended up finding another solution for my cat's eye infection, although I would have appreciated a better experience to get her eye drops.

Exceptional clinic. The vet is very knowledgeable and took their time to examine my cat. She is undergoing thyroid treatment and I 100% trust the vet’s (Patricia Sailer) judgement on further treatment and testing. She also took time to advice me on the right kind of food for my cat without ever pushing the clinic’s products. The vet techs are very capable and were easily and expertly able to handle blood draw from my very nervous and scared older cat. I was really impressed as other clinics had to pin her down and muzzle her - just wow! Finally, I have to say the front staff is very efficient and friendly. I can email them anytime and I’ve always received really prompt responses to all my concerns. This is a very well-managed clinic that provides excellent service. The prices are also fair and they have excellent wellness packages that help reduce costs.

Our lab-mix was due for her shots and a check up during Covid. This meant that the staff had to take her in without the support of my partner or I. It was her first time at this hospital and I was quite nervous given she can become quite suspicious of the vet - never aggressive, just hesitant when it comes to accepting shots, care, etc. from strangers. The staff handled the situation so well (sat on the floor with her to make her comfortable, were patient and didn't push her boundaries) and only had great things to say about her post appointment. They were not pushy with suggestions regarding care or judgemental about our dog's anxiety in the slightest - but they were honest which we appreciated. This, in return, made us feel comfortable as customers. It was a busy day when we went but staff worked quick and efficiently. Definitely recommend.

I normally don't write reviews but today the customer service I received from Jane Animal Hospital was exceptional. I had a appointment today for my dog that I booked 3 weeks ago. But this morning I had an accident and I had to come to the Collision Centre. I was going to miss my appointment but then I thought my non-English speaker father would take him. I asked for an Uber for him and he was able to take my dog. But he had an issue with the Uber driver because of the dog, and that argument led him to be late almost 25 minutes. I called multiple times Jane Animal Hospital to update them with the situation. They were super nice and kind and took Pearl for an examination within the next 30 minutes. In life, those unfortunate events happen but with amazing people like them, they turn out to be still good. Thank you Jane Animal Hospital Staff!

Excellent beyond expectations Recently got a new pup. Booking my Rex's first vet visit was such a breeze with the help of the staff over the phone. Before the first visit, we were in need of an urgent visit and since we couldnt be fit into the weekend schedule, we got assistance over the phone and via email and we were contacted very promptly to help put our worries to rest about little Rex. Our first visit was beyond expectations as well. The staff are very welcoming, very friendly to me the owner, and especially my pup. Rex was very comfortable once he walked in. From the reception to the techs to the docs, everyone was very nice, knowledgeable, and all willing to help either in person or over the phone. I couldnt be happier that I chose Jane Animal Hospital to be Rex's healthcare provider! 10 stars if possible.

Update: I’ve been with Jane Animal hospital now for two years, and it has been nothing short of amazing! I have always feel at ease knowing my dog Cece, is in the best possible care. If you’re wondering where to take your babies, I recommend this clinic full heartedly. I cannot begin to describe how amazing this vet clinic is. I was so scared choosing a vet clinic for my puppy especially being a first time dog owner. All the staff were all so kind, informative, and friendly. Every appointment I’ve had so far has been great. Each vet has amazing advice and has helped me ease my anxiety and fears. They are always so thorough and go above and beyond even for the simplest things. I highly recommend this vet to anyone! Thanks to all the staff working there, the collaboration of each of the time members shows greatly.

This has been my main vet as a first time dog owner. I've always received prompt, courteous, and well-priced service especially during the pandemic. All the veterinarians and technicians are pleasant and knowledgeable, they take the time to make sure you understand the appointments and treatments. I recently made a call to the vet regarding my dog eating something he shouldn't have and they talked me through what to do and provided options which didn't include extremely expensive treatment. I was really happy to have been given options that were budget friendly and my dog was fine. Then, a few days after my call they called me to follow-up and make sure my dog was still doing okay and checked if any late symptoms had developed. I'm so glad to have found a vet which really cares about the well being of my pet.

I recently switched over to Jane Animal Hospital and have been overjoyed with their service. I had recently moved to the area and adopted a new kitten and booked him an appointment with them. I was considering keeping my older cat with my vet uptown. When my older cat fell ill (before I'd even come to Jane Animal Hospital for my kittens first appointment) I tried to get him into his vet uptown. They were very unhelpful at his vet and didn't offer an appointment until the following day. I called the wonderful front desk employees at Jane and they told me to bring him in right away. I was thrilled. He indeed was in need of help and we ended up having to get him immediate help. Thank you Jane Animal Hospital. You are so kind, helpful, compassionate and wonderful. Had to switch vets for my 6yr old Chow Chow (Oso) and after alot of research we landed here. They were not judgemental of us raw feeding our dog and deciding not to neuter him. Matthew was our Vet and we were happy with our visit! His bedside manner was very warm and accommodating. He explained everything as he was doing it and worked with our dog on his terms. He allowed us to help make Oso more comfortable. If you know anything about Chow Chows they don't like being touched and he worked really well with him (also with the help of alot of treats). He explained all of our options and risks regarding feeding, neutering and vaccinations. I really appreciate both the warmness and professionalism of this Animal Hospital and would definitely refer anyone looking for a new vet to check them out!

I have been going to this vet for almost 2 years now and am very impressed. The reception staff are super friendly and the booking process easy. They even send text reminders! The clinic is really clean and inviting (they have paw prints on their ceilings!) I feel very comfortable bringing my dog here..they listen to my concerns not only about my dog but also the fact that I live on a limited budget...they went over the pricing with me in the room before I headed to reception so I knew what I was expected to pay. They also didn't push me to purchase any extras which makes me feel a lot more comfortable. The vets and techs are professional, kind and caring, and handled my overly enthusiastic Jack Russell with ease! I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat.

We moved to the area recently and we had to change vets. My dog had an intro appointment and her rabies shot (along with the tick, flea and parasite treatment), it was pricey but nothing out of what I expected to pay in Toronto for vet services. When they learned Cleo (my dog) hadn't been on any heartworm preventative for the last couple of years (because we were living in a country where it wasn't necessary), the clinic wasn't pushy about doing the test and didn't try to emotionally manipulate me into paying for it. I was grateful for that, since I had a bad experience with another vet in Toronto, who word by word said "You will pay the extra 800dls if you really love your pet" when my dog didn't not need that specific treatment. So, so far so good!

I recently moved to Toronto and I had to get my female cat spayed. I booked an appointment and there was an availability the following week. You can’t go in because of COVID-19, so you have to call once you get there and then wait in your car. The staff will assist you with bringing your pet inside the hospital. My cat had an amazing experience. They all loved her and she was so friendly, so was the staff. It didn’t seem like it was my cat’s first time at the vet. The staff made us feel welcomed. My cat had her vaccine and she also had her blood work done. Experience: 10/10 (very neat) Parking: 9/10 (neighbourhood and street parking) Service: 9/10 (you can’t go in ‘cause of Covid) Environment: 10/10 (my cat and I felt welcomed)

what an amazing place! they go above and beyond and time and time again bring me peace of mind knowing that my precious cats are well taken care of. This is the only vet I have felt comfortable leaving them with. Not only that, they also surprisingly dont try and rip you off or over charge for services you do not need! They were going to have to put my cat under to check in her mouth for a procedure. after going into the back room they were able to check, and instead of proceeding so they could still charge us they brought her back and let us know that the procedure want needed! they truly love your pets and take care of then as lovingly as if they were there own. I'll never need a new vet again! what a blessing!

I took my cat here during COVID times and felt very comfortable with their rules and treatment of me and my pet. I did not feel comfortable leaving my senior kitty alone and they completely understood this. The vet and staff were helpful, reasonable, honest and informative. I actually left some paperwork there and they found it over a year later and called me to confirm my address so they could return it. They had very helpful tips on affordable care or how to access financial help for your pet. Thankfully, I didn't need any of this however it was really great to speak with a clinic that was so helpful. Thank you for such a respectful and positive experience.

The staff at Jane Animal Hospital have been very helpful and attentive while caring for our cat. We initially called in to have her checked out, be immunized and have a tick removed all the while this was all performed smoothly without any hiccups (considering the current COVID situation). Recently we had her spayed and the fact that the hospital has a system to let us know when our kitty was going in for surgery and when it was complete (all via text) and a phone call update when she woke up was super helpful especially as we're at work worrying how she's coping. They treat your furry friend with care and not once will you feel like a number. Thank you.

I'm very disappointed with this animal hospital. They choose who they want to service. They're very unprofessional with their clients. I spent almost 200.00 with them because my dog had a minor injury. They made a mistake for my dogs follow up appointment twice. My appointment was set for 10 AM, I arrived on time just for the receptionist to inform me that my appointment was set for 9 AM. I was told to give my dog his antibiotics and 5mg of melatonin prior to his appointment just for them to turn me away with my dog without being seen because they made another mistake for his appointment today. They also didn't offer me another date or time to come in.

Franklin endorses but... originally a 5 star review. Sad to say we've had to move on after many years. Mostly turns on successive attempts to book appointments, a couple of them urgent, the past three years, and there being no availability. We get there are more dogs and the challenge of Covid but when Frank needs a vet, he needs a vet. Something besides the emergency clinic. We are very flexible but it serves no ones interest if we can't make an appointment within a reasonable time frame. Most recently, after trying Jane, we were able to make an appointment at another reputable vet in the neighbourhood within 24 hours (not 2 weeks).

Do not go here. They have not updated their website in years. Since 2019 actually. I spoke with a live agent about boarding my pet, they told me it would not be a problem, but it may take up to 24 hours to hear from the vet. I asked that I receive a call ASAP, as I do need to make arrangements for my dog. When I did receive the call I was informed they no longer offer dog boarding, and I was referred to a place they aren’t even sure can accommodate my dog. This goes without saying but do not use the live chat feature. The live chat agents dont even work for the animal hospital. Just do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

I was here with my kitty, Nimbus, as she was throwing up. The service was outstanding. Very accommodating. They took her inside at the promised time. They fully examined her and I was updated of every detailed findings by the doctors. The doctors even followed up with me to see how she was doing. They also responded within minutes when I called them regarding any issues or clarifications . Even if the doctors were busy they made it a point to call and discuss the issue and offer advices. I am very pleased with this place. Everyone was super nice and very friendly. I will definitely recommend this place for pet owners.

Excellent emergency care for our first visit. After researching and reading reviews of animal care in the Junction area, Jane Animal Hospital was my first choice. I was not disappointed. I had great interactions with a number of the staff, from reception, technicians and doctors. Our cat received such excellent care and they responded to my queries after we came home very quickly and professionally. This is a great animal hospital and the staff is kind, friendly, caring and professional. I highly recommend them! Covid-19 protocols prevented me from entering the facility but still received top quality care for kitty.

We recently switched to Jane Animal hospital - the hours were significantly better, and the location was great, too. I really am so happy that we decided to change our vet. We have a small puppy who (as puppies do) eats everything she can find a way to get into. When this happened last week, I was able to call the vet, take her right in, get her checked out, and bring her home happy and healthy. They called a toxicologist for me and reassured me that all she needed was some puppy 'pepto.' It was so reassuring for us to have that resource - they were fast, professional, and so kind. I recently adopted two rescue cats and brought them to Jane Animal Hospital for their annual wellness exam and vaccinations, and I am so glad I did! Everyone from the receptionists to the vet techs to the vets are absolutely amazing. I had a few phone conversations before the appointment because my cats become extremely stressed when handled and the team at JAH provided me with advice regarding sedation. During the appointment, the staff were absolute pros at examining my *very* frightened girls. The appointment was seamless and I am so glad I found such a great team to care for my cats!

Staff are knowledgeable, are truly out for the betterment of your animal. We have a small dog and she is getting fixed. We had such a positive experience learning all the special considerations for her to get the best treatment and recovery. They are so patient and so good at communicating what the options are. I can't say enough good things about this place. You get what you pay for. It isn't cheap, but is fair and the professional staff they hire come at a cost. I'd rather pay a little more for outstanding professionals than be uncertain. Definitely recommend Jane Animal Hospital

Everyone here has been so helpful and polite. We took in a stray in the middle of the pandemic and wanted to get him looked at quickly since we weren't sure of his health. We were able to get an appointment the very next day. Some procedures were adapted for the pandemic. You have to check in over the phone and they come collect your pet from the car and we paid by etransfer. Every step of the way they explained their new rules and kept things professional, simple and safe. The prices have been very reasonable. Our cat has had all his shots and neuter here. Highly recommend.

DON’T waste your time here, rather don’t let them waste your time! I booked my first appointment here 3 weeks in advance, even called 2 days ahead to confirm my appointment and when I got there they told me they double booked me and that I go home. How’s that for a first impression! Wasted $$ on an Uber, wasted my time and stressed out my little kitty for no reason. Will be spending my money at Bloor Animal Hospital instead of this one since they clearly don’t care to simply check and make sure their afternoon appointments line up. Very careless and unprofessional!

Jane Animal Hospital is really wonderful. It is clear from the moment you walk in that all of the staff members - front desk, technicians, and vets - all truly love every pet that comes in. My cats both have anxiety any time they are out of the house (to the point where I have to carry them on a leash from my house to the vet, because they won't even get into the cat carrier I have) and everyone at Jane Animal Hospital always does everything they can to make my cats feel comfortable in their space. I always recommend this vet to anyone looking for a change!

5 star staff and service! They responded to me on a Sunday via chat, booked our cats exams, shots and blood work for the next day. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and our schedule. We want to apologize! This being our first visit, we unknowingly parked a fair distance down the street. However, the staff still came to our vehicle to pick up our babies and return them as we're not aloud inside due to covid. The Vet and all the staff were very professional, friendly and polite. I generally have had a good experience at this office but I would say they are not the best with time management or reliable hours of service. Showed up to buy cat food on a Thursday night at 7:30 and all the lights were on but no one was in the office. No sign on the door that they would be closing early either. Another gentleman was waiting outside who had made a trek and just decided to leave after waiting more than 15 minutes on hold. If you’re going to close early, just put a sign on the door or leave a message on your answering machine!

My cat was sick and got urinary tract infection and my usual vet just prescribed us antibiotics. My cat didn’t feel better but just keep getting more sick after that. So I wanted to try different vet so I can get second opinion. All the receptionists were super kind, informative, all the vets sounds very welcoming. My cat’s vet offered all the tests and explained us what will be the best examination for my cat. They also follow up about my cat after a month. We recently started taking our 2 cats and 2 dogs to Jane Animal Hospital and we couldn't be happier with the service we have been receiving from them. I've switched to Jane Animal Hospital because I moved and the previous vet was too far. I love their staff, everyone is so friendly! The vets are very knowledgeable and I love how they recommend/present options to me. In the previous vet I used to take my dogs to, I always felt they were selling me different meds/products so I was never sure if that recommendation was really necessary. Now I feel much confident when I speak to them. Also, I never have to wait for a long time, which is defined a plus! They are amazing!

Everyone at the clinic was extremely kind , caring and helpful! The recommendations for our dog were fair and reasonable (start with less invasive and less expensive course of action). We have had experiences with some vets that like to order all kinds of unnecessary (and costly) tests. The vet at Jane Animal Hospital was very reassuring and ensured to give us all options. Staff checked in our guy a couple of days later which was very reassuring and thoughtful. Would definitely reccomend this animal hospital!

We were so happy with our visit! Our cats were more comfortable than I had ever seen them outside of the home. This can only be attributed to the warm atmosphere and friendly caring staff. Pets can sense animal lovers a mile away, and had their pick here! :) From the front desk to the medical team, we had a truly positive experience. I have "interesting" needs for my cat, she gets a Lion cut for the summer, with a mohawk, of course. We took our 2 1/2 year old black lab, Jersey to Jane Animal hospital recently for a check up. The staff welcomed us with treats and made Jersey feel comfortable. They are so friendly and welcoming. Jersey was put at ease and was eager to visit again the following week when she had an ear issue - turns out it was just a scab from a friend playing with her. She is fine and eagerly enters Jane Animal hospital every time we walk by! We live in the neighbourhood, so walk by often- she loves to visit.

Big fan of Jane Animal Hospital! After 20 years with an amazing vet in Leaside, when I moved to Baby Point I was very wary of trying anyone new. They saved my dog's life! Mishka had a life threatening infection, and was scheduled to have emergency Pyometra surgery on Thursday. But knowing how urgent this was, their wonderful surgent came in and got it done on Tuesday! I cannot thank him enough for the successful surgery. Great Vet! Very friendly, helpful staff and technicians. I never feel rushed when calling in to discuss my pet's issues and can get appointments quickly when my pet is not doing well.
