The worst experience I have ever had buying a second hand car. I will be completely honest: if you value your mental health and don't want stress, do not purchase a car from this place. I bought a car for £3.7k and right from the beginning, it had a very strong petrol smell and power loss in second gear. I decided to take it to Audi before the warranty expired. Audi spotted over £3k worth of faulty items with the car (also they had sold it to me with two loose tubes!). I emailed JMC numerous times (never had a reply) and just because I live local and decided to pop in, I managed to speak to them. I then found out that they had not sent my details to RAC. They state on their website and you can also see the RAC carton banners on top of every car, that every vehicle they sale comes with a 3-month RAC warranty. Well, that is just a big LIE! When I asked them about this, Vijay (Managing Director) explained that they offer the RAC warranty for people outside Birmingham, but for local people they offer their own warranty, then he said that there was an additional fee that has to be paid when purchasing the car in order to get the RAC warranty (they never told me that when I bought it and you can just read on the website that they offer the RAC warranty completely free of charge/complimentary). Eventually, and after a lot of calls/emails, they agreed to fix/replace some of the faulty items that Audi had spotted. I have just gone to collect the car and first of all, I was not even given the paperwork for the work that had been done (I was asked to take a photo of it, as they wanted to keep the original), but more importantly, the car still loses power in second gear. I will be looking at selling the car to a 'WeBuyAnyCar' kind of website and obviously losing lots of money on it, as I just don't trust the car and don't think it's safe to drive. Absolutely terrible experience. It's a classic example of a business that is happy to take your money, but not deal with you afterwards. I had to be very very persistent in order to get some bits fixed, but the stress and hassle isn't worth it.

Absolutely awful experience with this business! ‼️ I don't often write reviews however, I recommend avoiding at all costs. They will sell you a car that will only just about make it down the road before breaking down, you're lucky to even make it out of the garage with the spares and repairs type cars they sell. You spend £1000's on a car which you could probably get for £300 (with the state that they're in) Customer experience was god awful but atleast the guy that you go on test drives with is lovely. However, other members of staff shout at you on the phone or try to argue with you when your car breaks down due to no fault of your own. I think I should become friends with some of the RAC Recovery men as I seem to see them more than I see some of my friends! We had to exchange the old car under The Consumer Rights Act 2015 for another. You'd think that one car breaking down would be a coincidence but when the exchange car breaks down within a week of you having it, it's a joke. We have been put in dangerous positions numerous times because of these cowboys. It also seems as if they don't repair the car at all but instead turn the warning lights off and blame you after it so they don't have to do the repairs. Problems re-occur due to this. How they have won any awards is beyond me and I believe that honest people should take their money elsewhere to an RAC Approved Dealership (Which you can check out on the RAC website) I honestly hope that everyone who has had a similar experience has had a much better outcome than us as we have lost our jobs due to this. We will have no further dealings with this company.

Avoid purchasing from here . Alfa mito bought in March low mies 2010 plate cost £2850 cars not as immaculate as stated the garage glued broken mirror with resin exhaust snapped in half after 3 days sent me a new one as I live 45 miles away cost me £40 fitting leaking water pump jmc fitted new one and timing belt kit paid £50 for air con regas as wasn't working had to have s/h compressor fitted for jmc only worked on journey home! Both windows squeeled had to strip door trims and fix. Passenger door would not lock cost me £35 actuator 4 new ignition coils £65 broken wire on tailgate to heated rear screen new rear wheel bearing £50 a blown water hose on busy dual carriage way RAC came out to fix says lot of leak fix in the water system now head gasket gone took it my local garage for repair but the block is damaged /scored had to be flatted and liquid metalled £450 don't know if this repair will hold or not but I have bought the car with serious water issue as the leak fix had clogged up the waterways!!! I can't help thinking I probably have bought a£700 auction knacker and been sold it at top price. To date I have spent around £700 in repairs. Most of these problems ie the exhaust leaking water pump faulty aircon and door lock were present at purchase as they were repaired in a very short time after sale and I'm sure this serious water issue would've been detected at the water pump repair after 2 wks!!! Current update another engine being fitted tomorrow at a cost of another 700quid +

I rarely do reviews but in JMC's case I am taking the time to tell others the experience I had with them. After searching for a car for a long time JMC had one I was interested in. When spending a lot of money I want to ensure that what I am buying is a vehicle in top health. I contacted JMC to enquire about the vehicle, paid the holding deposit and arranged a mechanic to do a full inspection of the vehicle. I was in constant communication with Ajay from JMC and literally nothing was too much trouble. If like me you are nervous of "dodgy" car salesmen I would honestly say from my experience you are in safe hands with these guys. I never felt pressurised to buy the car, any and all questions (even out of working hours) were answered by Ajay though WhatsApp. The inspection flagged up a couple of minor things, which were fixed in a couple days and sent me pictures and video clips of the work to ensure I knew it had been complete to a high standard. I then arranged to pick up the car, met Ajay in person, who's a genuinely nice guy, bought the car and drove home knowing the vehicle was in great condition. I did ask Ajay if there was a second key as he only had one. At the time he was not aware of another key, a couple days later he contacted me to say he had managed to locate the key and locking wheel nut and had even paid for them to be sent recorded delivery to my home address. Truly an amazing experience from start to finish. Thank you Ajay / JMC

I purchased a Black Jaguar XF Sport 2010 for £8,500 from Jays Motor Company in 47 Boldmere Rd, Sutton Coldfield, England, B73 5UY on 14 March 2019. Within 3 weeks, I had to spend £617.30p on the 1st set of repairs. Within 3 months, I had to spend £2138.23p on the 2nd set of repairs. Within 5 months, I paid £996 for a deposit on an engine rebuild, costing £2,394. This has now escalated to a complete rebuild costing £7515.97p, as the engine has been rebuilt before and the majority of the components require replacing. The car has been in the garage a total of 13 weeks over the 6 months that I have owned it and it is still counting. I have now been without a car for a month. I have spent to date £12,931.03p. I have rang numerous times, sent many emails and a letter addressing the owner ‘Vijay Kumar Bhalla’, but no body is getting back to me about this serious issue. I have given them the options of rectifying the situation, but it is likely that I am going to have to Sue them in the County Court to be reinbursed. I urge potential customers, if you want to make a purchase from them, that you have the engine independently checked over and certified that it is in good health, so you are better informed and don’t face the situation that I am in. I will be updating my review in how my case develops. Hopefully they will be prompt in resolving the problem.

This is my objective view of dealing with this company. I initially bought this car from JMC and, at the time, they said that it came with a 3 month warranty for engine, gearbox and major components, so I was happy with that. As has happened to other reviewers, I went to pick up the car, a week after the sale, and and it had not been cleaned or prepared. No biggy, but not a good reflection on the company. Less than 2 months into the 3 month warranty period, the car developed a major problem. I went to JMC immediately and told them about it. The owner told me that the fault wasn't covered under the warranty (even though I was told originally that those kinds of faults were) and then blamed me for causing the fault. That's not good customer service and inspires no confidence in the company, in my opinion. Unfortunately, I will now have to fork out to fix a problem that I was assured would be covered under JMC's warranty. This makes their 'warranty' useless and the word of those who work JMC worthless. In my opinion and experience, and if I were you, heed this cautionary tale and do not be tempted to buy a car from this company. You may well save yourself pain and heartache, in the long run.

Viewed a vehicle and was assured it was in great condition. Noticed a low tyre which I was assured was repaired. Less than a month later, I had a driveway covered in diesel and an empty tank. Noticed the tail light wasn’t even fitted properly and had been stuck in with double sided tape! Took it back and was assured all fixed but didn’t seem to care about the costs of me getting driveway repaired or the £50 of diesel lost due to the problem. Claimed it was just a faulted fuel seal. Not convinced all is fine with the vehicle in addition after a couple of washes it’s clear there was paint damage that must have been badly covered so going to have to pay for that to be done as well as the tyre still losing pressure. Also now stating it needs a service only a couple of months after purchase and virtually no usage. Sadly would not recommend, costs rising on this. Have photo evidence of diesel damage and light fitting as well as paint issues. Going to just sort it myself at my cost, won’t be going back to this place in the future and recommend others stay clear.

Avoid at all costs!! learn from my mistakes..cowboys!! JMC Sold me a car not fit for purpose or as described. Trading standards were so keen to hear about my experience with JMC Sutton and are dealing with these fraudsters. JMC Sutton sold me a car with a MOT pass certificate and when I had a health check carried out on it, all was not as described when purchased, how it passed its MOT a week before my purchase is beyond me! JMC have had my vehicle 4 times to correct the problems which includes a correded exhaust and 4 times have failed to fix it. The 2 different courtesy car they provided me with and these 4 occasion were not road worthy either! Im all for supporting local businesses but this company are ruthless un-cooperative fraudsters. JMC Point blank refused me a refund which by law I am entitled too and will get! JMC offered me another vehicle which I obviously refused - I would never have dealings with another vehicle from this trader as I can not trust them or their cars! Do not waste your money and risk being ripped off!

Purchased a cheap run around car they had it up for sale only cost £1500 and provided 3 month in house engine and gear box warranty and delivered the car to my place of work nearby giving me the time to sort out tax and insurance. Within the first few days the engine started vibrating so I called them up and took it back to them. JMC had their mechanic look at it and he straight away identified it was the engine mounts. JMC agreed to replace them without any fuss or problems. I did have to call regularly to find out what was happening as we were waiting for part to arrive this took around 4 weeks. (JMC a little advice here would be to call up the customer to keep them updated at least once a week until the parts arrive just so it doesn't get frustrating for the customer to keep calling you as it does leave the impression I was being fobbed off). Never the less the part arrived and the car was repaired quickly without any problems. I would go back to purchase a car from them in the future.

AVOID AVOID AVOID at all cost absolutely the worst experience I've had purchasing a car. I was working locally and stopping at a hotel when my van was stolen. I needed a vehicle quick a found a little peugeot 207 gt hdi that suited at this joke of a dodgy garage. Bought the car in good faith from a garage. But only one day later the inner arch plastic fell down and was rubbing on the tyre. Then a pulley started making a noise followed by esp and engine gement light. Took it back and the gave me the worst disgusting cover car. They called and said its sorted just needed a new belt and dpf fluid topping up. Took it away and surprise surprise everything came back straight away. Tried calling get it back in and just blagged me off saying they would call back and never did. Ended up having to go to a specialist and costing me a fortune to get sorted. Again please don't give these rip off merchants anything take the money to a proper reputable dealer.

Would not recommend this company at all!! Avoid if possible!! Had a car from these and wasn’t even roadworthy! We had the car for 4 days couldn’t even use it! They had it back for 6 weeks, Still didn’t fix all problems! Even used our car for personal use! Left car parked outside in heavy rain with window open as it didn’t close! The car wasn’t even ready when we went to collect from purchasing it, Was also not cleaned! They don’t like phoning you back, Or answering the phone! We took our car back off them because we gave up waiting for repairs! On collecting the car it was all wet inside because window is left open! Was stuck in low gear too! Even incurred a parking fine! These people have No clue about cars! We are now having to pay out for all repairs to be done ourselves! Bunch of cowboys! We are now in touch with Trading Standards! Avoid at all costs!

Was sceptical of this dealership due to mediocre reviews but bought a car from them anyway, as it was the right car at the right price and the sales woman, to her credit, was lovely. However after having the car for almost exactly a month, and having done around 300 miles in it, it broke down due to a problem with the fuel pump. The gentleman from the RAC who had to recover me rang the garage to enquire about the warranty twice and they hung up on him both times. In the end he recommended I had the car towed to a reputable garage, as he knew JMC and didn’t trust that the job would be done quickly and safely. Wound up costing me just over £400, 32 days after I spent £6.1k on a car with a 3 month warranty. If you do buy a car from here ensure you purchase the extra RAC warranty!

This company will not refund you, your money back if you put a deposit down and somehow you end up not buying the car. I have put £250 deposit for the car I was going to buy but I was not able to go ahead with it, so I called them a day later to tell them and Vjay wasn't happy and told me I wasn't getting my deposit back! They will ignore you numerous times and put the phone down on you if you try to call them to discuss it any further. It is partly my fault I suppose.. I just wished that I had seen all the negative reviews on here before getting involve with and I would STAY WELL AWAY from these people! Perhaps I have dodge the bullet and better to have lost £250 than £9,500 for possibly a dodgy car?!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! It’s a shame I had to even give 1 star because it’s genuinely not even worth that! I purchased a vehicle from this cowboy dealership 7 months ago and after approximately 5-6 days after purchase it went into limp mode and had a loss of power ever since. I called to say I wanted a refund and got told ‘WE DONT DO REFUNDS’ So I had no choice but to make a claim for money and I’m currently still waiting for my money back!!! Save your time and effort and go elsewhere because it’s really not worth the risk or more importantly YOUR MONEY!

!!AVOID THEM IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!! I bought a Mazda 6 in the middle of June 2023. Just after running for one week, the car showed a problem of overheating running one and two KM. Jays Motor send me to Assurance Approved Garage and they found the car's head gasket is gone. They also said the previous owner knew it and they tried to fix it temporarily. Why do they hide the information? I could have purchased a different one. They sold a dodgy car to me. They do not have any good intentions to do good business.

AVOID LIKE YHE PLAGUE!! Typical dodgy dealers! I brought a car 2 weeks ago which today caught FIRE! They were made aware numerous times of the warning light but every time I called them I was fobbed off with the famous.. ‘My Director isn’t here’ . Now today the car has caught fire, no longer fit for purpose and guess what, they are accepting no liability whatsoever. We have had this car less than 2 weeks and although it includes a full 3 month warrant, they say it’s not their responsibility! Diabolical service!!

I wanted a used car which met my budget, was cost efffective & practial. JMC Sutton was suggested by a few friends. The salesman looked after me even tho I only had a vague idea of what I wanted & clueless when it comes to cars. I was offered a finance deal & the costs were transparent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend JMC Sutton. I was provided with excellent service, no hard selling and had a good overall experience. Bought a ford fiesta from there was told the work would be done before picking it up, messed about for over a week, left on hold whilst they all went home! And in end up they ended up taking the car to another garage who admitted that the car was knackered and basically begged us not to go through with the sale! Big time messers! Sell you a car that needs work doing to engine and then doesn’t keep in contact whilst you’re trying to find out what’s going on!! Do not buy from these!

Recently I purchased a very clean, well presented Vauxhall Meriva from Jays motor sales. All was going well, but then a fault occurred with the electrics. One phone call, and the car was collected within 12 hours of that call being made. Now, after several unsuccessful attempts to obtain a replacement electrical control box,a full refund was offered to us, which we accepted. I've read a couple of negative reviews on this dealership. So I thought I'd share mine. For 3 months I've been looking for the right car. I found it on jays website. I called him, he answered, was very professional and polite and informative. I bought the car over the phone. That was on Wednesday. On Thursday morning, the next day, it was delivered to to my home address. I am not sure I could have got a better service really. Would highly recommend this dealership.

I've visited Jay's a couple of times, and both times I've been surprised at how rude the owners are. When purchasing a car, it's important to view the stock and get an idea of what I want, sitting in the vehicle and then test driving - this isn't as easy as that here. I would have purchased a car recently had the sales person been better mannered, instead I'm choosing a bigger dealer who dies look after me.

Sell a car with 3 months MOT. Advise I get next MOT in my own town. Then after paying out costs for a failed MOT these guys refuse to help despite CarFinance247 saying they would help. All smiles when collecting the car but they’ll fudge an MOT to get it out their yard and forget they ever knew you. Highly recommend you stay clear of these guys. 1 star is generous!

I dont want to say exactly what happened but these guys are very good 'actors', absolute con artist. AVOID this place for your own good!

AVOID! The place might look nice and in a lovely location, but trust me when I say that they are scammers. Appalling customer service, they will be happy to take your money but will completely ignore you when you have a problem with the car (even within the warranty period).

I wouldn't recommend. My partner put down a deposit for a car - to then be told the next day it was actually sold and he would now have to wait 3 days to get his deposit back! Unsure why you would keep accepting deposits if its already sold.
