I've been a season ticket holder since day one and every year the experience gets better and better. Parking is pretty well marked and coordinated. Signs and officers are everywhere directing traffic. The walk to the stadium from parking is scenic and kind of short. I've been to other stadiums where the walk seems to take days. A lot of college students yelling and partying their way to the stadium - like they should be. Security isn't bad, a sign with "rules" is posted at the gates however, it's too late by then if you have something they don't allow. There is a check in station where you can leave something (like a water bottle that isn't allowed). They do allow clear, empty bottles for water and there are stations for filling those. Food is Bojangles and Pizza mostly with some other stadium style foods (hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn, etc.). This year is the second year alcohol is served but the first year where taking it back to your seat is allowed. Cabarrus Brewery is the local craft selection and there's some others like Bud Light and a couple of wines. Seating is aluminum bench style and most seats offer great visibility unless...the cart with the camera man is rolling up and down the sidelines. The height of the cart is just high enough to block the entire view. Overall, great experience.

It's been a very long time since I've been to a sporting event. So I was more than looking forward to and much appreciative when I received and invite to attend this college football game. And the 49ers were well represented by the attendance of both students, alumni and college football fans. They got hammered pretty badly, but that took very little away from the enthusiastic crowd. They had all different kinds of food, various beverages and beer. I opted for a beer and soft pretzel. I went with and alumnus who knew almost every single person there. I think that I spent 5 minutes or so in the seats that we had tickets for. I had a fantastic time. The energy and good vibes just made it that much more memorable. Camp LIT was amazing! The best I’ve ever seen or been around and that’s saying a lot as I grew up a college football coaches daughter for 30 years and now am married to a head football coach. I graduated from Clemson University and when i worked in the football office as a student, I remember that same young, infectious energy that gives you chills and you don’t ever forget that feeling. UNCC Football Program (in my opinion) is the NEXT “Clemson Football program”. The head coach seems to be such a stand up man and reminds me so much of Coach Dabo (who I do know personally). Can’t forget about the real OG Coach Perry Parks who taught my husband so much about being productive, successful, and REAL head coach in today’s day in age. Mad respect for that man. Excited to see the future of UNCC FOOTBALL!

I work in higher ed and have the opportunity to visit dozens of college stadiums each year across the SEC and other big conferences. Nowhere aside from Kyle Field rivals the amenities, access, views and crowd noise that you’ll find at Richardson. The bathrooms, seats, food, beer, and swag shops are top notch. Crowd engagement is solid and the program around the game is exciting. The crowd is always engaged and we know to stick around no matter the score. Niners always fight back. Like the opening year, this year (2019) of exciting football showed the potential for this stadium and the Charlotte football program. Let’s keep packing the mine, supporting the program (yes, donate), and soon enough we’ll have our expansion. Roll Niners.

This wonderful stadium belongs to university of north Carolina at Charlotte. This place is specious and during fall seasons multiple events are held. Enjoying the match here directly is fun things to do. This place is well organized and easily accessible from the University parking places. Neat and clean; structurally organized! Nearby is surrounded with different university building. Great place to bring your family and kids for enjoying homecoming matches.

I've had a chance to visit a few stadiums this season and I was really impressed with Jerry Richardson Stadium. It felt very cozy and you feel close to the field but it got really loud when needed. Concessions are super close to the stands and there were plenty of windows so the wait time was very short. Very impressive facilities for the team. Great job! Can't wait to come back.

A nice easy-to-navigate stadium. Convenient restrooms. Many food vendors. Staff was outstanding in managing a collegiate football event. Entertaining skits and giveaways throughout the game. UNC Charlotte has 3! Groups of cheerleaders. Overall the stadium made for a most outstanding football game experience. Too bad my Navy team won't be back for 2 years.

  • kate hampton

The event staff needs more schooling on what bags are allowed..we were not allowed in with our clear bags, even though the description of our drawstring bags was both written and pictured as allowed...then while inside, we saw many bags that were specifically not allowed on the same signage that specifically allowed ours!

  • Jared Shultz

Nice stadium for professional and college football. Was better when field was grass. Concourses recently renovated. Not super fancy or modern but well maintained and clean and right in Uptown Charlotte. The grounds around the stadium are park-like with many live oaks and pines. A few blocks from light rail and streetcar.

  • Tim Ernst

Super fun atmosphere for games. Fireworks after touchdowns. Beautiful academic buildings to remind you it's a college campus and not a billion dollar sports franchise. The lights have really changed the stadium since it's no longer necessary to hold games during the middle of the day when it gets hot.

  • Olde Oak

Beautiful stadium located on the campus of university of North Carolina Charlotte. Home of the 49ers football team. Clean bathrooms comfortable seats. Great views from anywhere in the stadium. The concessions however are horrible. Had to wait in three different lines to get what I needed.

  • Grace Wells

It's a great stadium for being small. It has good food, is very clean, and has many amenities. There's easy access to restrooms, lots of seating, and a big screen to display the things you can't see on the field. I love seeing football games here!

  • Rhonda McNewty (Swetp74)

Beautiful field. I like the horse shoe shape. We had a great time and the atmosphere was great. The bathrooms were cleaned but the long lines for food was the only down side. People not getting people in and out. Other than that I loved it!

  • Chelsea Adams-Perez

I’m a 2014 alumni and just attended my first UNCC home game in 2021. I found the stadium to be very nice. Lots of food selections and plenty of parking on campus. I had a great time even though we got pummeled into coal dust by Marshall.

  • Kaileigh Ault

Large, clean, and decent stadium for all sorts of events. Small in seating compares to other major league stadiums, but other than that nice place to spend an evening watching a game! Plenty of bathrooms and concessions!

  • Annie Burchill

wish they’d just change the name already but we all know the influence of money haha. the facility itself is gorgeous (minus the bathrooms, which... yikes). a beautiful part of unc charlotte!

  • Conley Brodziak

A small football stadium for the Charlotte 49ers. A very clean stadium. The surrounding campus is beautiful. The staff working the snack stands were friendly despite working in the cold.

  • O T

Park at JW Clay parking gafage for $6.50 and walk down to the stadium, 10 minute walk. Not one bad seat in the house. Nice, cleon facilities. Concession, beer, and restrooms.

  • Bhaskar Mitra

  • Andre Banks, Sr.

The staff showed our 11U boys football lots of love with a personal tour of the facility and a chance watch team practices and drills. Coach Murph was the best!

  • Tonya Adams

This was my first time at Jerry Richardson Stadium. It was a great stadium, the seats were fabulous, and the campus leading up to the stadium were so nice!!

  • Bill Moll

Not really a bad seat. Sun is bad on the visitor/student side during the day. Home/pressbox side gets cold when in the shade during the later fall games.

  • Jo

Love this field. Small compared to most football stadiums but loved the feel and atmosphere. And a long line of stalls in the ladies room …

  • Johanna Bobo

Make sure you have a clear bag to go in. The atmosphere was good. The food prices are not bad. There is different varieties of food to choose from.

  • Sharad Gupta

For the graduation. The school could have given a bottle of water and a visor to all guests. But so it is. The stadium itself is quite awesome.

  • Daniel Uribe

Beautiful stadium, not very big but that makes the experience that much better. Plenty of food options inside, and outside the stadium.

  • Nora Miller

Food was AWFUL,water down cheese for the nachos (chips were stale also) and cheese for the pretzel was old and water down.

  • David Schweit

Great stadium, great atmosphere. Just needs more swag gear to sell at the games. T shirts, hoodies, hats, more variety.

  • Philip Getchell

UNC Outdoor stadium with plastic seats and a good view of the field, there are amenities there such as food and drinks

  • Cris Rodriguez

Very nice stadium. Fans are friendly to visiting team's fans. Stadium is very easy to get to. Great views throughout.

This is a colossal waste of money. Along with creating unnecessary parking issues and delays during the school year.
