This is the best Federation I was under. Maybe the DFW one was a close second but this place kept up with me to make sure I was alright for years after I moved away. It was little things like that which have kept me. I've been wrestling with G-D since coming to Manhattan and having my religious identity challenged by eugenics. I let go and it holds me at the waist or it lets go and I hold it. Places like this Federation who don't support eugenics as a part of Judaism are what reminde me it is just a few bad apples and not everyone. Basically I moved into the wrong neighborhood for a Jew to live in. I became surrounded by Moloch worshippers and today at the Holocaust Museum the curators called them out on their neo-nazism too. They'll deny it happened and tell me I am crazy. They'll tell me Jews are a race and I'm a mischling. That is my neighborhood full of "Orthodox" buy the are Modern so they aren't the Orthodox I grew up with. In fact they are pretty much the opposite. This is how I knew the difference between a good Federation like this one and a bad one. I miss having a good Synagogue.
