I purchased a new car a few months back and decided to get insurance through John Beck. They never sent my insurance company my inspection report showing that my vehicle has no damage. I had no clue none of this was happening, as they offered me to be set up on automatic pay so I wouldn’t have to worry about paying every month and they have a discount for doing it. Anyhow, I went to pay my car note and notice my note jumped up from 315 to 785 and when I called they said it was due to me not having insurance. I was confused and called my insurance company and they stayed they dropped me due to what I stated above. They told me they had to add insurance on my vehicle since I have a financed car. I’ve called up to John beck twice to see what happened. No one returned my call even the MANAGER JIM RHYNE he was RUDE, non-helpful and flat out RACIST. He hung up on the phone with me refused to give me any of the owner information and pretty much told me. OH WELL THATS YOUR PROBLEM.

I have unfortunately been with John beck for more than 10 years. I have progressive insurance through them for my car and boat. Every time I call I am told they are too busy or they’re with someone and I’ll have to have a call back. I called LAST WEEK to get a quote on home owners insurance, and I was told I’d get a call back. Haven’t gotten a call. I dialed their office number today, and sat on hold for 10 minutes, just to get disconnected. I HAVE to have this insurance quote by the end of the day today. You’ve had 4 entire business days to get it. I can guarantee when I call they’ll tell me “someone will call you back” even though IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN STARTED ALREADY. I can call progressive and get a person right away, and get a quote right over the phone. The very first time. I’m not sure why I even have John Beck. Going straight to progressive and bypassing John Beck is what I’ve had to do for 10 years +.

Nice insurance agency, pretty busy. However, I think they over price sometimes.They charge you $78 on top of your down payment for towing and rental and they charge you to run your dmv report. I’ve been to a lot of agencies here in Jacksonville where they don’t charge to run my report. Towing and rental is absolutely optional! Don’t let them talk to you into getting it because it’s mandatory. Also, they give you quotes over the phone depending on why you tell them. For Example, how many tickets/accidents in the last 3 years. It’s just an estimate not an actual quote! Once you get into the office is completely different because they actually run your drivers license and add towing and rental and $13 to run your drivers license!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would give zero stars if I could... You wait FOREVER, meanwhile some lady couldnt get a babysitter and brought her kids to work. So they loud and screaming. Jessica has worked there for about 10 years and is rude everytime I see her.. I only wanted to cancel my policy on one of my vehicles I turned into the dealership. It was never registered in my name. They would not do it. So I called progressive, and they canceled it no problem. Maybe because they didnt want to loose money they would not cancel a policy (that was paid in full) on a car I do not have possession of. They refused to let me speak to a manager. I will never ever use John Beck Insurance ever again.

I have dealt with John Beck off and on for decades. I have dealt with some of the finest agents. Today, I spoke with 2 different agents who told me they didn't have time to deal with me. The second said that John Beck was no longer working with them. When I told her that I just spoke with him a few weeks ago, she said,... oh yeah, he'll come in and hand out lollipops and water to people but he has nothing to do with the company. I believe John needs to teach them different, prove why this company WAS so great and show that bad agents are replaceable. I will be canceling my policy with them.

I didn't appreciate Cassandra telling me she will be with me in just a minute but walks out the door get in car and leave. Guy sit next to her went to restroom in the middle of helping a customer then when he finally did finish, he see me still waiting but he fumbling around with papers as if he's busy then calls me over and after telling him I just need a more accurate quote so here is my vin# and drivers license he gets up again going to the restroom and i didn't here any water running so I don't think he washed his hands and none of the office personnel had on masks or shields.

Went in just to get information. The agents were busy. Mr Beck saw I was waiting came over, offered a cold bottle of water. He listened briefly about my situation. He assured me that they would be able to answer my questions. An agent, Michelle, was available then and answered all of my questions and took her time to explain my alternatives. I appreciated their patience and all the information they provided. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. If you are in need of auto insurance give them a try. They have access to alot of providers.

Have used them for 3 years now. They been able to find me cheap insurance when big names wouldn't insure me. One of the companies they sell for raised my rates and they found me another one paying what I was before. Think they may need more agents or start taking appointments. Also busy and have to wait to speak to them or when you call they are very quick to dismiss you or not answer your questions all the way. But over all it could be worse.

I love the people they will greet you when you come inside and when you leave them you will be so happy that you came and visit them this is a wonderful company thank you John Beck

John Beck agent signed me up for a specific insurance company which was great my first year. But my renewal is coming up & my premium is going up $200 on 1 vehicle and $168 on another with no explanation as to why being as though I have not been involved in any accidents nor had a ticket in the last 5 years. Update. NEW agent found me a better rate for almost $200 cheaper all together. Thank you. & John is the absolute sweetest.

I came here to get insurance on a vehicle since they are very close to my apartment. I paid $500 for a down payment. They never sent me anything in the mail. I was set up on automatic payments but no payment came out. I belive they are a scam. Then reported me saying I had no insurance and my license was suspended. I had to pay more money for insurance and to get my license reinstated. I want my money back.

Very helpful staff. They can get busy in the office but they are usually very prompt and friendly. First come, first served. They exhaust all options when helping with insurance. In my opinion they are very honest about the companies, the pricing, and coverage. I worked with them in the past and they had great deals, definitely better than the quotes I was getting. Would use again if needed.

I cant say ive had an issue with anyone at john beck personally but i think that they should only put people with good insurance companys $609 for full coverage with ocean harbor and my car has sat for two weeks not even being appraised or anything my insurance company ocean harbor has not done not one single thing to help me so im out of a vehicle and 600 dollars can you say wow!

Offers lower rates by going through subprime insurers and having you pay some of your total premium upfront, lowering your monthly installments. Oh, and they use acceptance frequently, who is in very dire financial circumstances so you may not even be covered in an accident. If you have no other option, have an sr-22, or claims on your record, it's okay I guess.

I had insurance with them and I called 9:30 am on 11/3/23 to see if I could update my policy and the lady Daniel answered the phone once I gave my name she said she doesn’t know how I am and hung up before I could even talk. I called back and they were rude and unprofessional. Will never get my services again

The customer service I have received today was abysmal. John was very kind and offered us waters. However, due to one agent's negligence I am not happy. The other agents have always been helpful. However, there was one agent in particular that has left a sour taste in my mouth for this company overall. Will not be returning or recommending.

Friendly staff, fast service. If you would like even faster service call by phone to get your quote, then go to get your new policy. For commercial insurance speak to Jim. Great guy and explains what all you need to be covered. He also looks for the best deals. The ladies that work there have great personalities.
