When I first went to Dr. Staniland I was extremely excited and I had a very positive outlook on his vision for me and all the things he told me he would do to assure that I was taken care of. Over time I see that it was all for show because literally I haven’t been taken care of in the slightest. I had to make calls to them to get results of my lab work on 3 different occasions. When I got lab work done the last time they made me come in to get the results and refused to give me the results over the phone on three separate calls and they insisted on having me come in to get the results. During this visit (that I never wanted) the nurse practitioner told me to up my dose an extra half a pill. Then I asked about what to do since my throat had been hurting for a couple of days and she called in a prescription that she told me to wait a week to take and if I feel better in that week, don’t even worry about getting the prescription filled. Also, she told me to take Flonase and Benadryl for my sinuses and allergies (which I’ve already been doing for years). In total this visit took approximately 15 minutes (not including the 15 minutes they had me waiting for the nurse practitioner in the room) and they charged me for a level 4 visit totaling $138. With the lack of communication they’ve had with me, the fact I wanted my results over the phone and I was seen for 15 minutes just to be told to up my dose by half a pill, someone can make as an objective decision as they want to but to charge me $138 for that is ridiculous. I won’t be returning to their office for anything. The staff has always been nice but what I’m looking for out of my primary care physician is a lot more than a friendly staff, I’m looking for care. I am not certain what world they live in but going to a doctor is like going to a restaurant and you’re looking for good service (among other things) and the service I’ve been provided has been anything but good and I haven’t been taken care of as a patient.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Staniland for about eight years and I always love going to his office he does spend the time to talk with you and explain in detail. Recently it has been almost impossible to see him on an instant appointment. Recently I was treated by one of his office staff, Alicia SEGOVIa I had blood work done, a urine sample, and because of illness I could not get in with the fishes test. I received a letter on Saturday to call the office ASAP when I called she was not available I requested my lab work be mailed to me, she failed to refrigerate the specimen so urinalysis was done, the bloodwork was incomplete she never called me her excuse was she could not get through, all calls on my phone register, I saw no call from dr Staniland. So I received no results because lab. Said test not performed because received at room temperature. So I get prescription sent to my pharmacy??? I’m assuming she got the reports and sent for the meds. This is total incompetence! How could she order a prescription for no results from the lab And a week has gone by and nothing but lab results I cannot make sense of, i’ve had a lot of lab work done in my 86 years and I’ve never seen a report like this. I asked to speak to Dr. Staniland about this the desk said she would give him the message, I never heard from Dr Staniland I am very saddened but I will not return to that office if they’re running it with that incompetence and no follow up.

The office manager TIFFANY is an example of what an office manager should NOT be. When I called to ask about my account and the ignorance and lack of knowledge this woman had was very unsettling to where she began to lie and throughout the conversation got caught in those lies and as I confronted her about the lies . She had absolutely nothing to say to help in my situation . She then put blame on her front staff and said I was called which also was a lie cause they had a wrong number on file another lie . But here is the kicker Tiffany the office manager had the audacity to discharge me and lied on the document as well which was not surprising to me seeing she lied throughout our conversation. Not once did I use profanity or obscene language nor did I speak to any of the staff at all . I called and asked to speak to the office manager and I just asked her to please stop lying and get me someone who knows about my account . Unfortunately she couldn’t and the lies just kept coming . I would not trust my patient care to this office seeing the staff the manager at that is very untrustworthy and a liar picture below shows how she lied on me which I will contact the main office on this matter . The slander Tiffany is doing to me unbelievable and I will not tolerate it.

Had been going to Dr. Staniland for nearly 4 years. The past couple of years, medications I needed for epilepsy to remain controlled would be limited in their words "to garner my attention" to come in for an annual check up. Which i understand is needed, but i never received a call from his office until I called them to find out what was going wrong with my medications and why my medications were essentially being held hostage.... Medications i had been on for years and needed to remain seizure free and controlled. When i confronted his staff about this i was told i was only being argumentative and abusive. I know that i never swore or raised my voice i only sought answers and instead was met with silence which rose my frustration more -after two weeks of going round and round - I was told i needed to seek medical care elsewhere. I had never had a poor experience until I called them out for holding my RX hostage to see them. this was a first and now last after being fired as a patient

My husband has been a patient for 25 years. My sons also saw Dr Staniland when they were younger. While it is true they take the time to talk to you in detail, the follow up on actual issues is mediocre at best. Love the staff and greatful for many things throughout the years. However, on a recent visit we were told by Dr. Staniland himself, that he is not recommending his patients get vaccinated for COVID and that masks don't work. This caused us to seek out a new doctor. We found out the statin he has been on for years needed to be at least 4x the dosage and he was on 2 meds for diabetes that were not supposed to be taken at the same time. He was also instructed to take a high dose of Vitamin D which was also not recommended for long term use by the new doctor. I am now concerned for his other patients. This has left us reeling. We are angry, sad, scared and concerned for my husband's health.

Our family loves Dr Staniland and his office. It's so hard to find a more holistically minded MD that doesn't just shove prescriptions at you as a bandaid. He is thorough and tries to get to the bottom of the issues. Refills are always done by his office before I've even run out of my thyroid meds, so I never have to reach out and request refills. He's got a great bedside manner, and I love how he treats my elderly mother with dementia and my toddler son. He's great with all ages! The NPs are great too, and if I can't see Dr Staniland, I get still get the same excellent care from the NPs on staff. He is the first Dr in many years to actually take the time to listen, and take my symptoms seriously. I had stopped going to PCP s for years because I was always paying to just be blown off or prescribed something unnecessarily. For the first time in ages I feel seen and heard by a medical professional.

Dr. Staniland and his staff are great! Both my wife and I have had appointments with both Dr. Staniland and his PA/NP. The front office staff and the nurses are caring and helpful. Dealing with chronic pain and illness can be very challenging on our attitudes. My guess is complaints about the staff were probably written by people in pain, who can become irritable and impatient (myself included). Despite running a busy office with lots of irritable and impatient patients, the staff always is friendly and polite. I went to this office on a referral and it's been the best referral I've ever had. Also, Dr. Staniland stays up to date on the actual science and research in regard to his advice, treatment and care. He also sat down with us and let us know he is a partner to us in our health care education, needs and treatment. We all must take some responsibility for our individual healthcare.

Just as the review previously, this office is being poorly managed by its staff. The sad part is it's probably at no fault of the Doctor. Now, that is to say, I was a patient, and the office manager was extremely rude and condensing when trying to make an appointment. She did exactly what the previous review stated when calling her out on this. Per the Doctor's words, they removed me as a patient in a call back to me after I filed a complaint with their management office. Now that I find it downright suspicious. They may be doing illegal things, which makes me question their reaction to this situation. Their management company is lackluster when it comes to an understanding of what this means. But honestly, save yourself by going to another doctor because something is very wrong with the management of this office. There is still no resolution to the behavior.

I had been actively searching for a PCP who practiced functional medicine. I wanted a doctor who would help get to the “root cause” of my health issues instead of quickly handing out pharmaceuticals. Dr. Staniland came highly recommended. I switched to him as my PCP in February 2023. I cannot say enough positive things about the professionalism shown by Dr. Staniland and his staff: From the phone call to make an appointment, to the courteous and welcoming office staff, to the attentive medical staff, to follow up questions after my appointment. I could not have been treated with any more respect, integrity or compassion. I’m looking forward to developing a long medical relationship with Dr. Staniland and his staff.

This doctor is outstanding! He was very generous with his time and provided options to treating my problem. My previous doctors were too quick to push big-pharma drugs on me without any attempt at getting to the root of the issue. He seems to provide the best of both worlds: knowledge of conventional medicine with an openness to alternative therapies that are less invasive and more safe. If you want a pill to fix your problem, this may not be the place for you. If you seek a doc with the expertise to aid in the healing of your body and appreciate a critical thinker, he's the guy for you!

Dr. Staniland and his staff have been taking care of me for over 20 years now and never once have I had to wait weeks to here back from his staff.. They get back to me with lab work every time. Dr. Staniland really spends a great amount of time with me and its always nice to have natural alternatives with the supplements he offer in his office which helped with my Vit- D and the Ozone treatments help so much with my sinus issues .. I live on the other side of town and I will still drive across town for them.. Thank you Dr. Staniland and staff ..

I have been a patient for several years. Today is January 18th. I asked for an appointment sometime in the first week of February. After being on hold for 8 minutes I was informed that the earliest I could get an appointment is February 14. Ridiculous. I guess it's a good thing I am not deathly ill. Their website says they are accepting new patient. THEY CANT SEE THE ONES THEY ALREADY HAVE. For what it's worth I have never laid eyes on Dr. Staniland. The PA I see is quite good...that does me little good if I cant get in to see her.

I have been a patient since 2018. I don't see a doctor unless needed and I have a referal to another doctor which typically takes care of things. I called to get my annual physical done and was told I would have to become a new patient since I have not seen the doctor since 2019 yet he is listed as the primary care on insurance. This is bull.....................Why should I become a new patient when I am a patient with access to the portal and medical records. Again this is bull..........................

My wife and I went to see Dr John and I seen shy the nurse practitioner. We paid out of pocket and had a physical and blood work done .. the results are back according to the receptionist or who ever called me and said we weren't even patient's at first..that was a whole different fiasco.. anyway the staff never calls back and we're still waiting on our results that are already back.. patients are just a paychecks.. this place is horrible... urgent care next time

If you are looking for a doctor actually listens to your symptoms and finds the root of the issue, this office is great. If you are looking for a doctor that actually follows up on that care, this office is not so great. As others have stated, I had labs done by this office in July and here we are in September with several voicemails left and no call backs on "next steps".

Dr. Staniland and his staff are great. My wife and I have been with Dr. Staniland for several years he is the most personable and informed Dr. I ever met. Dr. Staniland explains the most update procedures and medications to help with every situation.
