This center was established in 1979 with the aim of conserving the Mugger crocodile species found in Bangladesh. The center is managed by the Bangladesh Forest Department and is currently home to around 100 Mugger crocodiles, including both adults and juveniles. The Bagerhat Crocodile Farm and Wildlife Conservation Center also plays an important role in conservation efforts for the Mugger crocodile, which is listed as a vulnerable species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The center provides a safe and protected environment for the crocodiles to breed and grow, and also conducts research and education programs to increase awareness about the importance of crocodile conservation.

The place is a man made natural place. It's the one and only Mangrove forest. Sunderbans is a gift from nature. If someone wants to visit they have to collect tickets and permission from local forest authority. Safe place. I did find and thing unusual. Bring water and snacks if you want. But keep water is good. Beware of monkeys sometime they take things from tourist. Nice car parking zone. Its boat trip. You'll enjoy everything.

সুন্দরবনের চাঁদপাই রেঞ্জের করমজল পয়েন্টের সবচেয়ে আকর্ষণীয় হল এখানকার ওয়াকিং ট্রেইল। লম্বা এই ওয়াকিং ট্রেইল দিয়ে বনের ভিতরে এক প্রান্ত দিয়ে প্রবেশ অন্য আরেক প্রান্ত দিয়ে বের হওয়া যায়। কাঠের এই ওয়াকিং ট্রেইলটিতে বর্তমানে লোহা ও কংক্রিট সংযোজন করা হচ্ছে। তবে এই ওয়াকিং ট্রেইলটিতে একা যাবেন না, অবশ্যই দলবেধে যাওয়া উচিত।
