Best Park I've been to in CT. Very clean, safe, dogs can run off leash, 2 playgrounds, one for little ones (no dogs allowed in this one) & one for bigger ones (which just got a fresh coat of paint). Great meeting place with log seating circles, benches too. Skate bowl thing, new & functioning exercise machines. Also, spotless ablutions thanks to Emmarentia & her team. Flowing water with tadpoles to catch (but put them back). Info boards local fauna & flora. Rewinding area where they don't mow & let it grow. Big trees that you can use for slack lining (if you protect the tree). And lots of labels on trees courtesy of my mother, in memory of my father. No laser tag parties allowed though! But there are big sports fields next door to run your kids & dogs. Great view of Table Mountain too... Best Park ever!

The pompousnes of the off-lead dog walkers here is off-putting. People seem to forget it is law to have a dog on a lead in a public space in South Africa. Great place for a casual human walk if you don't mind the patrons blatantly oblivious to their pet-parental obligations. For the on-leaders, rather avoid in favour of the better managed parks like Geen Point. The foliage here is glorious though, and on quiet days it is a fun and relaxing place to be. The effort put into maintaining existing, and propagating new growths is obvious and fantasticly enjoyable.

It was lovely to walk a new experience with our doggie today. Lots of young mothers and their very young children. And lots of doggies - all friendly and running off leash. Happy place with youngsters practicing rugby and older chaps, their cricket skills. Great little green patch. There are sadly some vagrants sleeping in the grounds close to the WP Cricket club and although it's nice to see they allow the trees to be planted in honour of deceased pets, it would be a great improvement not to see all the coloured ribbons in this green space

Great place to enjoy a relaxing walk with your family, alone or with your dogs (but if you're a dog owner please ensure you take bags to pick up your dog's poo - there are a lot of bins to drop it into). It's all a little rough around the edges but that adds to the charm of the park. Great for families with younger kids since there are 2.5 play areas and a skate ramp (very rustic). The paths were recently redone and are great for wheelchair users too. If you come at the right time of the year you might even see the resident owls.

Beautiful outdoor space for the whole family and and your dog. Places to picnic, outdoor gym, jungle gym, rivers hidden fairy doors. Great for a day out
Playground
2 playgrounds and an out for gym, so plenty items to keep you entertained.
Dog-friendliness
Very dog friendly, lots of space for them to room. One side is open to a small road otherwise the area is surrounded
Picnic area
A few picnic tables and lots of benches. I would expect a dog to join if you tried on a blanket

  • Latte Guide

I regularly run here. Going around the field is about 0.7 km. There are always plent of different dogs here. They're all very friendly but don't bring your cats. The atmosphere is mature and lighthearted. A good place to relax. Bring your date for a jog or get a cuppa Latte and share it at sunrise.
Playground
Kids are welcome. There are swings, slides and grass.
Dog-friendliness
Dogs. Everywhere!
Picnic area
Great place for sushi.

  • Jared Ware

A great walk, very well kept with natural vegetation. The best local park to take your dogs for a walk or play, right next to fields. Truly the best atmosphere and even view of Table Mountain.
Playground
Enclosed and safe kids play areas, many little fairy doors all around the park for kids to look at too.
Dog-friendliness
There are so many happy dogs walking there every day, owners playing catch and having a great time.

I regularly walk the paths of Keurboom Park. So pleased to see the recent additions of new trees .Some of the old stone pines are dying and loosing huge branches .It is sad to think that they will , in a few years time no longer stretch to the sky. I'm grateful to all those who in recent times are rewilding the area by limiting the mowing and planting indigenous local trees and shrubs truely creating a green lung in our city.

Keurboom park has something for everyone. Grassy areas under trees to picnic or party on, two children's playgrounds (one for the littlies, and one for older kids), and sports fields good for touch rugby, frisbee, soccer or whatever. The cherry on the top is that it is one of the few places in Cape Town where dogs are allowed to run off leash. There are also public toilets with an attendant so they are clean and useable.

  • Anton Schroegendorfer

Keurboom is a beautiful well maintained park on the slopes of table mountain. It is fairly well protected against the weather and is also the home to Viper Slacklines monthly slackline days. Open slackline sessions are there to provide a safe environment for anyone and everyone who has an interest to learn how to slackline. All details for these sessions can be found online on the "Viper Slacklines" Facebook page.

  • Imraan Ismail Sonday

Love the park. Absolutely beautiful. So relaxing for a walk and a bit of a run. My wife and myself really enjoy it there. We try to go daily. Only down side is that people blatantly disregard the keep dogs on a lease rule. On our last visit we were charged twice by 2 different dog's on different occasions. And during both times the owners did not do anything to try and stop the dogs. There's no problem one that

  • Sumayyah Khan

Great place for a run, walk, dog walk, kids play park, picnic, etc.
Playground
A few playgrounds suitable for different ages, fenced off and safe for the kids.
Restrooms
Clean and well maitained.
Dog-friendliness
Very dog friendly, dogs can be off their leash.
Picnic area
Lots of great picnic area options, on the grass, under trees, and there are lots of benches as well.

  • Nazeefah Alli

My favourite park to take my daughter. Even when it's busy there is plenty of space for everyone to walk, run, play. Not advised to take a walk in this park if you fear dogs. The park is clean and well maintained. It's bittersweet to see trees planted in burial spots of deceased pets, and benches installed on behalf of deceased. If you have kids, let them search for mushrooms and leopard toads.

  • Zayd Dawood

Great nature and scenery. Dogs are off leash but are obedient and generally don't bother you. People are Very friendly. Feel free to strike up a conversation with anyone about their dogs. There's also a closed off section for younger kids to play where dogs are not allowed. There is also another area with swings and merry-go-rounds etc. There's also a paved pathway which is great for joggers.

  • Anette Bosman-Teale

This is a beautiful very clean and well maintained park, with natural habitat. It is ideal for walking your dogs(they are allowed off-leash under supervision)Poo baggies are supplied at various points in the park and there are plenty of bins, which is emptied on a regular basis.Great for your daily excercise, be it walking or running or taking the kiddies to play. Very safe and peaceful.

  • Naadiyah Johnson

Lovely park. Nice trails for the whole family as well as for your fur babies to enjoy. Fur babies enjoys the little dams and rivulets around the park. It is lush and green and clean as well as shaded. With play parks for the kids to enjoy and a fenced park for toddlers. There are benches with tables to have ur snacks at or cut off tree stumps to relax on. All in all highly recommended.

  • Trudy-Jo Daniels

This is a such a great spot. We've literally only explored a 1/4 of the park but love the little walkways and bridges. It's awesome for little cyclists. There are two play areas - one geared at younger kids and then a larger area for older children. There are little benches, so it's great for a small picnic. This is a dog friendly park, so be aware of that before going.

  • Karen Howard-Tripp

Wonderful park for dogs to run freely and say hi to other doggies as well as for families and children. Just wish everyone would be considerate and pick up their dog mess. They even supply packets and bins for this - so no excuse! People are friendly and many a lonely person will find someone to say hi and chat to about their dog/s or children. A very unique park

  • Pam Jackson

A beautiful fairly natural park. The pathways are paved and the there is a play ground for kids. Two in fact. One large space for very little children fenced in so dogs cannot get in and a another playground with all the usual equipment. Beautiful views of the mountain. Indigenous trees that local residents have planted and take care of. Good dog walking park.

  • Anne Giot-Horn

A park friendly for dogs and kids, with large open spaces, trees, seating, jungle gym, merry-go-rounds, swings. A place to be a kid, and for dogs to have a ball.... or play with a ball, or a run. Take a picnic, and spend some time, a great place for a fun for all time. Routes and patches for walkers, joggers and of course.... strollers.

  • Linda Steele

Great park. A favourite spot for families and dog walkers. Lots of space, lots of play equipment for kids, with a dog free fenced area for little kids. Nicely maintained pathways. Shady picnic tables. Dogs are allowed off leash, so they get to have fun too. Right next to the RBHS school fields which are also accessible for walks.

  • Jennifer

What a beautiful Park, well kept in its natural state but still pleasing for jogging, dog walking and strolling with well laid out paths and shady trees. Lots of open spaces and wonderful view of the mountain. Special play areas ideal for kids group parties, large or small. Really special to have in the middle of a busy town!

  • Steven Joubert Thorold

Great place to walk your dog, allow your dog to play with others and chat to like-minded pet owners. There are usually plastic "poop bags" available for those whom might have forgotten to bring some along and there is LOTS of space for everyone. We even get to spot some birds of pray in the tall trees at times.

  • Candice Newton

Fantastic and beautiful LARGE park with a play area for kids. You will find all walks of life here, including passing joggers and dog-walkers. Unfortunately it isn't well patrolled so you will still find visitors breaking the rules despite the sign boards indicating forbidden actions like metal detecting.

  • Roxanne Joseph

This is my favourite park in Cape Town because it's a massive space where my dog can run around and interact with other dogs. People are also a lot friendlier because it's a dog-friendly park. Always clean, the grass is always cut and there are so many different spaces to play, explore, run and chill in.

  • Michelle Megan Thomas

A hidden gem, we often take our daughters here and our Siberian husky. This park is perfect all year around. Whether you need to clear your mind with a stroll, let your kids run free and play in the park, perfect for the dogs too. Spending family time, making memories. Highly recommend this park.

  • Huda

Wonderful, spacious park with loads of sports fields around it. Lots of paths for walking or for kiddies to cycle. Huge interlinked fields that you walk around. Various places to park and safe to walk in afternoons as there are many peeps walking their dogs. Even has a beautiful mountain view.

  • Rory Bolus

A big, well maintained park with various different play areas for kids (one specifically for small children which is fenced of and dog free). Dogs are allowed in the rest of the park, but owners are obviously expected to clean up after them. Older kids can enjoy a bike / skateboard ramp area.

  • James Damster

Loads of things to do with kids of all ages. Fenced off area for the little ones, With play equipment. Swings and other park equipment for older children, paved paths to ride bike or take a walk. One of the best kept parks. Kids, look for the painted rocks, bring your own and swap them out.

  • Enid Son

A local park to walk or jog. Dog friendly but there are some inconsiderate dog walkers who do not pick up after their pets so mind where you step. A lovely treed park with playground for the children and lots of park benches to relax. Views of Table Mountain. Spot the owls in the trees.

  • Taylia Leibrandt

Great place to walk dogs and take kids to play in the park! There is a separate park for younger kids in an enclosed area where dogs can't get in, which is great. Gets busy in the afternoons which makes finding parking difficult, so go as early as possible. Overall, great park to go to!

  • Melissa Abrahams

My pets absolutely love this park. We've grown quite a network of friends in the pet community. The people whom I've met are practice responsible pet parenting and help to keep the park clean and welcoming for first time visitors. I fell in love with this park from my very first visit.

  • Halen Erasmus

I always enjoy myself when coming here, really big and with so much variety. From tree shaded paths and open fields to skate park and flow arts vibes, there is something for everyone. Just watch out for some peoples off leash dogs that are not so friendly with yours.

  • Catherine Trimble

Amazing park for walking (with & without a dog), 2 different children's playgrounds (1enclosed) space for other outdoor sports & skate ramps. Bags are provided for your dog's mess, but you may like to take your own loo roll if you plan on using the toilet yourself.

  • Amy Palframan

A place that feels like home. A reminder to dog owners to clean up after their fur children because too many times yesterday I saw small kiddies stepping in poo. Butt...it's a great park during the day is very very safe.
Restrooms
The rest rooms aren't bad.

  • Don. J.

Lovely, well maintained park with on street parking with car guards to watch over your vehicle. The park space is dog-friendly and great for family outings. A fenced playground is available for smaller children. Reasonably maintained public toilets also available.

  • Caitlin Hanslo

Very nice, it's super popular for families and dog owners. Public bathrooms. Long circular paths great for bikes. Plenty of play areas for parties. Skate park. Big trees for shade. Grass patches for picnics. You might struggle for parking as it's all residential.

  • colleen bell

Beautiful day to be out and about with the family and of course the dogs. Lovely park loads of open spaces to be able to spread out. So many options really. Whether you want to play some touch rugby or cricket with the little ones or just scoot around or walk.

  • Robyn Raymond

I love this park. I take my dog there all the time. There's a great mixture of wild 'veld' and lush garden grass. It's beautiful so makes walking your dogs really pleasant. Super safe, water is available at entrances for dogs as well as free poop bags.

  • Zoe Moosmann

Lovely relaxed park perfect for walking the dogs, picnic, playing with the kids. Spacious & shaded with paving all the way around making it perfect for biking and rollerblading. Fun playground equipment. Benches and tables for picnics and birthdays.

  • Gwyn Ortner

Best park to take dogs for a walk, they can go off leash and make other doggo friends. Absolutely lovely. Paths well-laid, nice and flat, also good for oldies. Kids play equipment really robust and sturdy. Nice outdoor gym set. Fun fairy nook too.

  • Lameez Cooper

Absolutely loved the park. There are picnic benches, play ground equipment as well as a little stream. My 2 year old nephew enjoyed running around and playing. Nice little walk ways for dogs and plenty of space. It's a great park with easy parking

  • Benjamin Munro

Great family park. Extensive network of paths for families to stroll and kids to learn to ride their bikes (luckily no serious cyclists). Loads of trees, some areas of indigenous planting, great big sports fields so plenty of place for kids

  • Judith Bishop

The park was so quiet on a May afternoon, a pleasure to enjoy with my grandson. Just a couple of families and some dog walkers. There are new paths in preparation and new trees being planted. The skate boarding track could do with repairs.

  • Sharanaaz Adams

A wonderful place for the family. There are a few play parks for the kid's. It has a paved path that runs all the way around the park. It's great for walks and running. The beautiful, tall trees provide loads of shade. Dogs are allowed.

  • Bryan Johnston

Great place to take your kids on their bikes. It's designed with a ring road that runs around the park. There are quite a lot of play areas for younger kids and it's just a nice place to go. Generally busy so there's a sense of security

  • Faadiel Williams

Keurboom Park is a very lovable place to be. The tranquility of the bird's whistle and the sound branches of the trees. Quite safe for walks, running, walking your dog and the friendly people around you, makes you quite relaxed. People

  • Wendy Solomon

Poor advertising in that we were not aware that you need to pay with cash for most stalls. Very congested pathway between stalls. People too close to each other. Lovely outing for families with dogs. Not great for market enthusiasts

  • Lesley Mostert

Beautiful park boardering open playing fields. Well maintained by "friends of keurboom park" who plant trees and upgrade paths. Dogs under control may go without a leash. Play areas with equipment. Wheelchair and pushchair access.

It's a very nice park, big and spacious. It's great for the family, and even if you're coming alone. The natural scents really help clear your head and rejuvenate your soul. It's definitely become part of my weekly routine.
