"An away from it all bit of countryside within East Birmingham"
"Kingfisher park gives you the impression that you’ve traveled to the countryside"
"I like this place solely because of the wildlife the flora and fauna all around peaceful I come here every other week when I am stressed out and I go back home feeling refreshed also the place is used by families whether cycling or walking "
I take my 2 dog around the park, there's plenty of room. Most of the time it's an enjoyable walk. You do get motorbikes sometimes. Almost everyone I've met on my walks have been friendly, the dogs are well behaved. I walk around there twice a day, it's a nice place to be outside. More
Nice place to visit.didnt feel to safe today because of travelers caravans parked in the park.a few motor bikes about and cars driving on the grass area.no problem for me but not sure how they feel when our kids are passing with in feet of there cars and caravans.
An away from it all bit of countryside within East Birmingham. We took the dog for a walk and met other friendly dog walkers. Didn't get the chance to walk around the pond because of young motor cyclists racing on the grass and unsettling the dog.
Kingfisher park gives you the impression that you’ve traveled to the countryside. Lots of wild open areas. Usually fairly quiet. Good car park ( which gets locked at night, so check the times which are clearly displayed at the entrance) has

This is an amazing walk as part of the 7 wonders walk, called The Dingles. My wife and I discovered it after taking a walk earlier in The Haunch Brook walkways. On the opposite side of the dingles towards The Shire Country Park is the John
Kingfisher Park is an area located in the city boundaries, in fact it's not a Country Park as described, but City Park. Grasslands and trees areas, way around Shard End Lake and path through Babbs Mill Lake are interesting locations along
The Kingdisher Park runs along the River Cole from Hay Barnes to Chelmsley Wood. This truly is a beautiful managed walkway through the urban wilds of East Birmingham. You would never know it though. Plan your long walk, take a bottle of
Absolutely beautiful, well kept and there is something for everyone. Whether its taking the kids to the park, walking the dog or just a nice walk. The park leads to so many places and is well sign posted. Just ashame about the graffiti.
I grew up from the age of 7 in Shard End. I have fond memories of this park. I walked through there to school, my playing fields were there. I went there every day for over 5 years. There is much more wildlife there than before. Many
Great place for a walk around the lake. Lots of birds, including herons and egrets and parakeets! Playground is good size but in need of updating. You can also walk along the river to Norman Chamberlain playing fields.
Probably good place to visit by Uk standards. Quite average by European standards. Good place for a walk with a dog. Gets busy sometimes, because of the charity runners. Childen playgrounds never gets too busy. More
Play area is quite big . Not many places to have a picnic plenty of grass to sit on . You can see the swans and ducks but not allowed to feed them . A massive park . Dog friendly. Did not notice any rest rooms
lovely swans lovely geese who don't attack. Child was near it but goose was chill. Unfortunately tree trimmers were noisy but it was a one off, lovely picnic. Little play park is a bit rusty but nice More
Beautiful place. Lovely big park with a really big lake. Swans geese and ducks on the pond. There's a play area for kids and a basket ball court. Lovely and clean. Lovely big Area to walk the dog.
Had a great walk here with my partner. It was a lovely sunny day and the scenery was quite good. I never really knew this place was here till I stumbled a cross it on Facebook. Highly recomended
Lovely park. Loads of bike path and river to explore. Can be a bit messy at times as not everyone looks after it quite as well as they should but it's a great place to run or go with the kids
Was there doing a litter pick and was pleasantly surprised , not too bad but still collected 8 bags rubbish but didn't get all the way round ! A lovely place for a picnic on a warm day .
A nice place for a little fresh air. Plenty of waterfowl to watch, including this fine pair of drakes. The only downside is that some people just didn't keep a safe distance.
Nice quiet place for a short walk. A shame that the fish have been taken from the lake, so no good for fishing. But that just makes it less busy there. So nice and peaceful.
I love this park for walking and cycling. It's has such wonderful wildlife. I always look out for the herons & egrets. At this time of year you have a the babies.
Grass pitches on a park. It has lines but this isn't Wembley and needs a lot of work to make it half decent. OK for grassroots teams to get football on.
Very poor quality park. Nothing like the photos just a little run down place. Went there and just turned back after one look at the filthy play area
Such an interesting place lots of paths to keep you and your dog dry. Woody areas and grass if you're training your dog. Car parking too
Lovely area that's great for all, very large pool that has plenty of wildlife, wooded areas and large open green spaces for dog walkers.
It's a nice quiet open space and play areas for children. Lovely range of birds to watch around the pond. No litter or rubish very tidy
Beautiful space. Tidy area. It was nice weather 2day so there were loads of ppl fishing, walking, having picking and sunbathing.
Lovely park, easy walks, a wide variety of habitat to explore. Could do with some trail maps and some facilities (WC at least)
Lovely quiet park, was perfect for a sit down and think session in the shade, with a view of the lake.
Nice walk for the kids with their bikes and dogs
It was good thank you
