New ownership, updated review. Upon the response from the new owners to my previous review, I decided to give this car wash another shot. Facility is clean and now has a functioning debit/credit tap for payment. Water Pressure is decent, and water is warm. Soaps and chemicals seem to be lacking. Used soap spray which was ok. Soap brush (used the brush on windshield only, I don't trust them on the paint for good reason) barely any soap from the brush and black pieces kept falling out an smearing. Overall, a great improvement from past experience, but some ways to go before I frequent this car wash. Previous review: 1 star Stopped for a quick wash. Used the new "tab debit/credit" for a $5 wash... Said successful, but nothing happened. Money is gone from the account though. Used coin for another $5. Cold, low pressure water that took almost 45 seconds to produce soap. Never again. I'll stick to Sudds

Great central location. For most of the negative reviews it just seems like common sense to me to never use some of the weirder things (carpet spray? engine degreaser?) and also things like brushes (of course they will scratch your car old or new every single time). If you know anything about washing cars you'll need to get your own products (I bring my own carpet cleaners, interior cleaners, etc.) Otherwise the price is fair, vacuum works well, soap, spot-free rinse, dryer all work decently. Also have never had one single issue when bringing my buckets and hand washing (I always go at night so bays are not full anyways). Overall happy with it and I'll keep going back since it's close to me.

The owner of this coin-op has all the bells and whistles to wash your car, from vacuuming stations to full car wash's (pre-soak, soap, pressure wash, Brush wash, rinse, ionized post wash and hand held air blowers to dry your motorcycle, car or truck. I have visited this location several times with my motorcycle, my wife's car and my pickup and never had an issue. Noticed that if you do have an issue there is a suggestion box with forms to complete and the owner will get back to you next day or sometimes same day. Owner on site usually daily during the week, his name is Terry.

The coin wash is pretty good. It is the only self serve place in Kingston that uses warm water to get the dirt off better. They have vacuums, carpet shampoo machine, wet towels, Amor all pads, air fresheners. The only critisms I have and this goes for all of the car washes is that in this day in age with digital payment becoming more and more popular they should now have such vendor devices installed so people can just pull up tap their card and go. They also raised the price recently to 3 dollars from 2 dollars which sucks but I can understand it.

Not impressed and probly won't be back. Only thing I was happy about was the water was warm and decent pressure. I spent $8 on a wash for our new SUV. Absolutely no soap came out of the gun and I dared not use the brush because it was filthy and probly would have scratched the clear coat. $8 later and my SUV still looks like I've been down dirt roads all day. From the ridiculous $3 minimum fee to the no soap to the dirty equipment, I highly DON'T recommend. Go to Suds for a quality wash, not here.

Kingston Car Wash is excellent! The place is very clean, and while I was there - a service person was busy cleaning, and available to answer any questions. They've installed a tap to pay service - no need to carry coins! There was fantastic water pressure, and both the nozzle and brush hoses have great reach (important for large SUV's!). It was affordable, with lots of space in the bay and the lot to wipe down / clean the interior after the wash! Overall a great car wash!

This really is a great car wash. Last week I tried to change a $5 bill and it got stuck in the changer. I wrote a note and put it in the message box. I washed my car using the visa tap option. When I was leaving I checked the bill changer and my money had come out. The next day there was a knock on my window with a person from the car wash with a $5 bill in his hand. I thanked him and told him my $5 came out after all. Wow what great service!

This car wash was once the last place I'd take my car. Spotty residue from the wash, and a weak vacuum, but this is no longer the case. The vacuum system now has them the strongest in town, and the wash, has improved as well. Not only that, the starting price for both is $.50 less than the competition, and longer time. They listed to customers and its improved their position to the best car wash in Kingston.

I was there this past weekend and used their carpet spray air freshener. I chose the cherry scent, but it smelled like mildew that was coming out of the gun. My brand new car that I just got four months ago, smelled like mildew for days. I have a 2 year old and had to spray my whole interior with vinegar. I would say very poorly maintainted. Do NOT use their spray scents.

Good place to go for a nice clean car.... I know what you're thinking when I say that! You're thinking well that's why you go to a carwash right? Well a few car washes in Kingston are good but then some of them.leave a residue all.over the vehicle then it looks like hell when it dries. Not nearly as shiny looking as when the vehicle was still wet!!Grrrr

Best water (softness and temperature) of all the local car washes. I can get my car cleaned faster here because of the quality of the water and soap. Where it might take me 10 minutes elsewhere, I can have my car looking awesome in approximately 8 minutes at the Kingston Car Wash on Bath road. Saves me time and money so win win.

Went there this morning 430 put 20 dollars in to change and lost my money how do I get a refund. Update the gentleman returned my call after I left a note and my money was returned .I go to this car wash all the time and have for years and I will continue to go .Thank you

This may sound silly but as someone who has only gone through drive through car washes, I was a little bit confused about what I should be using and in what order. Other than that, everything works well, smells great, and water pressure was great!

I’ve always gone to this car wash, something has changed. They’ve increased the price but it doesn’t wash you car well anymore. I always leave with dirt makes still on the car, the wash soap setting doesn’t give enough soap like it used to.

I thought Kingston car wash was so good since I tried the car wash in Bayridge drive. Compared to that, Kingston car wash has dated machines or compressor. Just try their foam wash and you will know the difference.

Love the Interac Tap, quick rinse and I was outta there. My new fave for a wash of the cars, once it dries out a bit, will bring the cars for a much needed rinse. Great location, equipment and $$$

It does what its supposed to. Although I put a Toonie in for my time and apparently 3 dollars is the minimum. Probably my mistake for not reading everything, but it ate my toonie nonetheless.

I was new to Kingston and this is the first self car wash I tried. The $8 for 10 minutes promo is perfect. The wand water pressure and amount of soap is great too! Highly recommend.

Great place for a quick wash. Doesn't job , but for a quick rinse or wash it's worth the 3 or 4 dollars , I find sometimes it does a better job then the drive throughs

Interac tap machines in wash bay can be temperamental! Have to try several times! Why can't there also be the swipe option like the competition has aswell?

I love this car wash. You don't have to have coins anymore, they accept Interact Tap!! I zip in, wash the car, and zip out within 10 minutes. Great place.

This car wash always has change of you need it. Clean, convenient, never out of order. Works really well to clean our dirty taxis and regular truck!

Get your car clean, but the amount of cleaners and stuff is horrible. More water than cleaner and not even all that warm so don't go when it's cold.

Best self serve car wash in town. Machine gives you 50 second warning of time. Good value of time to money charged. Good pressure and soap at wand.

It has competitive prices, but be careful using the tire cleaner because too much of it can stain the body of your car temporarily.

My go to place for washing and vacuuming our vehicles. Debit/credit cards are accepted in the wash bays but not at vacuum service.

4 minute vacuum is 2min 15 seconds. Ate my toonie first time around and the staff said I put in the wrong coin. Won't come back.

Time function doesn't seem good value for money at $1/minute. Expensive. Only used rinse so $8 to rinse mud off an SUV is unreal
