We hired Jacob of Knight Electric to convert our attached garage with an additional 200 amp panel with a mix of 240 and 120v outlets. All aspects of this project were professional. The initial online interface to request a quote was easy to use with free form text option to describe your request. Response to book the initial visit for additional quote details was prompt. The quote provided and its online interface included specific details for the job, with the inclusion for coordination to acquire building permits and applicable inspections. The job was completed at a very high professional level with Jacob and his apprentice arriving promptly each day and completing the work on time and at the agreed upon estimated price. Overall, I am very pleased with the work they completed especially for their expertise in coordinating with the building inspectors and hydro for the job requirements within code specifications. Jacob and his apprentice were very respectful of our property and left the job site clean during the day, and did an extra cleanup at the end of each day. Knight Electric replaced the main panel at my daughters house that she just purchased. I was concerned with the age and history of issues with the 50 year old panel. After looking at Google reviews, I narrowed my selection of Electricians down to two reputable local companies. I selected Jacob's company based on our first interaction when he came to the house to provide an estimate. He patiently answering all my questions and went in detail on the work that will be done. Once selected, he made the process painless by making all arrangements with Hydro and City inspectors and responded quickly with an install date. He came to the house the morning of the install to review all the work with his crew to ensure all was addressed. His installers were extremely polite and respectful of the house and worked non stop (no breaks that I saw) till the panel was installed and power restored. The panel layout and installation was of high quality, with the wiring re-arranged cleanly and all breakers labelled clearly. Recently, I installed a DIY security system and I wanted to add a video doorbell. After doing some research, I realized I would probably need to upgrade my doorbell transformer to ensure the video doorbell would work properly. I reached out to Knight Electric to see if they would be interested in doing the work. I reached out to Knight Electric via their website, and I got a call back from Jacob the next day. In my dealings with Jacob, I found him to be friendly, professional, and quick to reply. Prior to the service appointment, he sent an appointment confirmation email. On the morning of the install, he was running early and called to make sure if it was okay to come early. He completed the job quickly and even installed the doorbell after upgrading the doorbell transformer. The final invoice was lower than the estimate he provided. All in all, I was impressed. The next time I need an electrician I will be calling Knight Electric, and I think you should too. You won't be disappointed.

We had Jacob come in for a quote as well as several other contractors. Jacob communicated everything and answered all my questions making it easy to understand technically what needed to happen. We needed a sub panel installed for a new appliance and while he was here we had him give us a quote on pot lights as well. We agreed to the quote which was a reasonable price for the quality of work and within a week an installation date was booked. Jacob and his team showed up on time to the job. They were professional, communicated with me throughout the day, as I work from home, and did a great job! The lighting makes a huge difference in the space, and it almost feels completely different. The sub panel job is a great relief to have so we now know our new appliance is safe. I've already referred him to others!

I hired knight electric for a knob and tube remediation job. Boy im glad i did too. They took the real time needed to plan the job out just for my house. They explained every step (no matter how many times i asked) and made sure i was totally confident with the work they were to do. The work was done to the highest quality and with minimum demo too. Had Knight Electric Ltd come to my home to design and install pot lights in my kitchen (replacing big florescent box light). Jacob gave a quote on the job almost immediately and did the work exactly when he said he would. As stated in other reviews he and Alexi are true professionals and take the time to explain their work, give options and make sure you understand what and why they are doing it. He returns calls and provides the information you need in a timely manner. I cannot say enough good things about this company and will highly recommend Knight Electric to anyone who needs electrical work done! Got a quote for basement lighting and when we decide to proceed - he gets the job! Extremely pleased.

A very knowledgeble man came to give me an estimate and what work would be done. Two weeks later, at exactly 8:30 am, they arrived and started working. In total there were 3 full days where the crew of two, or three, worked non stop until end of day. I should mention it was -30 one day while they had outdoor work to do, so frequent , but short warm up breaks were taken. Due to the cold, the head electrician came back 4 days later when it had warmed up, and sealed areas outside and replaced the soffits. Great work, good work ethic, and answered any and all questions I had during the whole process. Great business!

Our second time having Knight Electric handle our electrical needs in our 1939 home was much the same as the first - excellent service, friendly and professional on-site disposition, and quality work. Knight electric handled a meter move to accommodate a deck, the installation of two new outlets, and a panel upgrade from 100amp to 200amps. They handled City permits and inspections. Of course, there's always work to do in an old house and lots of plans for the electrical. I won't hesitate to call Knight Electric in the future. Already looking forward to the next project.

Very knowledgeable, fair price, excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. Alexi, Jacob and their apprentice did a great job rewiring my garage, attic and basement. Showed me some tips and tricks from a DIYer's perspective, pointed out the issues prior to them addressing them, cleaned up after they were done. Best of all, they do it smiling and with humor lol. And they also have a neat booking system to track their ETA and when they are done. They provide invoices clearly outlining their scope. I will definitely be calling them again for future jobs.

It was difficult find an electrician to quote on our residential electrical job but Jacob responded immediately and provided a quote quickly. Knight Electric replaced the original Bulldog panel and two subpanels and consolidated all the wiring into a clean, tidy single panel. The crew appeared exactly on time, performed the work professionally, were very friendly and took the time to explain the work at hand. I'm reluctant to leave reviews but I feel 100% compelled to give Knight Electric five +stars as they deserve it.

Jacob and his apprentice are really great to deal with! They are professional, responsible and easy to talk to. So far so good, had outlets that lost power and had a some trouble shooting work done, had that fixed with 20 minutes. Also needed to update our doorbell transformer, and was replaced quite quickly. We had a wiring issue with a bedroom light fixture. Because of potentially unsafe wiring, I didn't feel comfortable installing a new fixture without a professional looking at it first, so we called Knight. They assessed the situation and did what was necessary to safely install the new fixture. They were very professional and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to call them again, and I highly recommend them.

Prompt service; only waited a couple of days. The electrician was knowledgeable and friendly and helpful overall with the installation of a video doorbell. However the price ($200) was a little steep for the type of work done and time spent, (screwing the doorbell in the frame and extending two wires and connecting them). Not the best value but otherwise satisfied.

Superb diagnosis on an electrical issue on my pool pump. Jakob was professional and his accurate diagnosis and his suggestion ended up saving me from having to buy a new pump which the pool company was trying to push on me. Had them install a new outdoor outlet which required a difficult run through the foundation. They were very cautious to follow the regulations and provided an installation very well sealed from the outside elements. They did a fantastic job keeping the home clean despite lots of drilling and movement of ceiling panels. Fast and efficient.

Called in to help find out why the pool motor stopped running.
