Newly reopened, the lion house is a fantastic reimagination of the environment that provides sanctuary for the lions, and incredible vantage points for visitors. Outside, there are several large glass and fenced viewing areas, while the inside is spacious with multiple additional viewing areas, including a lower ramp level with a new conference room that has a full glass wall. It was well worth the wait for the new construction that brings people closer to the animals, but also provides them with space away from distractions of they want it. I also love that the doors are fully accessible with new, no-touch (wave) controls.

Auf einer großen, felsigen Anlage ist die Löwenfamilie zuhause die man aus vielen verschiedenen Blickwinkel betrachten kann. Zudem finden sich noch naturnahe Anlagen für Schneeleoparden, kanadische Luchse und kleine Pandas. Wirklich sehr sehenswert.

Saw the almost year-old lion son Pili-pili romping! with father Jabari, mother Zari out in the sun with them, too. Her second brood of 3 cubs not yet out on display, but should be this summer. Zari has 2 gorgeous sisters Cleo and Hasira, who pitch in with babysitting.

Today was our first visit back since CV19 and the remodel - wow, what a difference! I used to live across the street from LP Zoo and we loved listening to the big cats at night but their enclosure (which seemed fine at the time) was *so* much smaller than the upgrade! There's much more space for the cats to move around when they want and there are huge observation windows, too!

A must visit when you come to the city. Huge space for the Lions to move around and are extremely active.

I don't watch the Lions there no more they act like robots to me just saying come version my kiddos roar back at the lions

We visited on a cold winter day, so the cats weren't that active. The zoo is free so no disappointments.
