Did this business recently change hands? As this would be the only explanation for the meals we were presented with tonight. This place used to be a little gem a few years ago, but the food wouldn’t hold a candle to an all you can eat Pizza Hut menu from the 90’s. Pasta was covered in a canned tomato gluggy sauce, pizza was burnt and overpowered with some spice that doesn’t belong in Mediterranean dishes and the Barramundi was beyond dry. Such a shame but this is now a very lacklustre restaurant.

We had a very enjoyable dining experience at L’Olivo with our friends on Saturday night. We have dined here before. We went with high expectations and we’re not disappointed. The staff are friendly and provide very helpful and efficient service. The menu is long with great choices. We chose a variety of tapas and a large pizza (half-and-half). The food was very tasty and delivered on a timely basis. My only complaint was that they ran out of sticky date pudding before we were ready for dessert. We will definitely return.

The waitress Sophia was so very rude to me as she told us to wait outside when my husband had arranged a reservation for dinner. I was absolutely shocked and disgusted. So we cancelled our dinner and went elsewhere. Sophia you need to definitely speak to people the way you would like to be spoken to. I was absolutely shocked and didn’t appreciate the way you spoke to me.After reading previous reviews it appears they’re all quite rude. Will never step a foot in the door again.

The food isn’t that good we just use it as a last minute convenience. I have an allergy and I spoke to a lady on the phone. I said I can’t have a particular herb and if this dish has it then I won’t have it. She said it’s no problem we can make it without… and guess what! Yup it had it. Apparently that’s what the meat is marinated in. I’m livid. I will be seeking compensation. They do not have proper processes in place to make sure dietary requirements are accounted for.

Not recommended at all. The moment I sat down on the table, The waitress Emma told me that I need to leave the restaurant within a time limit. She didn't even care to ask what I would like to eat or drink. She was so eager to tell me to go out. Then I read the reviews of the restaurant, there are quite a few bad reviews, but the owner didn't reply to it. I guess they don't care about the customer service. Please, don't go. Highly not recommended. AVOID this restaurant.

Great authentic Italian cuisine in the leafy suburbs. Our go to are the Sienna pizza and the Penne Primavera, both excellent, as are their many pother menu items. Highly recommended.

Had pizza here for dinner. Presentation of the pizzas were good. Loads of ingredients in them. Service was great. Reason for a 3 star is that it was soooo salty you can’t believe it. I had to drink water with almost every bite. My partner and I ordered two pizzas but only managed to finish one as they were both way too salty. Couldn’t even be bothered taking the leftovers home. Would’ve been a 4.5 if less salty.

Decent place for takeaway pizza. Only “okay” as a dine-in restaurant. Pizza selection is wide and can be abit hit-and-miss. Most of the gourmet pizzas are good though. I took a star off for no wood fire oven (can’t get to 5 stars without this). I took another off because my recent pizza order took 35 mins while the guy on the phone said they would be ready in 20mins.

Not the best experience. The pasta was well made and delicious however the pizza was not very good. The ingredients seem to be the main culprit here. Very greasy ingredients and minced chicken in the meat lovers. The reviews on here don't show an accurate picture of the food. Good service by the wait staff.

I had my son’s birthday there today with 20 family members and no1 ate the food, the place dirty, the exhaust fan on ceiling had so much dust hanging ready to fall in your food. This place doesn’t deserve 1 star. Do not go there

We loved getting takeaway here on special occasions when we don't want to eat out. The food is always excellent and the service is great. I've eaten in the restaurant as well and it was a very pleasant experience.

Two weeks ago I ordered a large pizza and two pasta...the pizza was large, tonight I ordered another large, it definitely was smaller than the one I had Two weeks ago...I asked and the young kid behind the counter said it was a large...totally disappointed

A local eating spot that has been there for years. Very disappointing. The spaghetti was a mush of overcooked pasta and tomato paste that looked and tasted like it came out of a bucket. Such a shame for a well located eateries.

My partner and our friends often go for dinners, and I cannot remember the last time all 4 of us were happy with our meals! Everything was cooked perfectly, full of flavour, generous serves and lovely staff. Will definitely be back here again.

Great restaurant good food and frendly staff. Service was great. Tapps was very tasty had chilli calamari prawns in a great sauce and a very tasty pizza. The only problem is it can get a little noise See if you can sit at the back more room I will visit again to try some different food it has a great variety.

Enjoyed a bowl of absolutely delicious pumpkin gnocchi. Others had Spaghetti or Fettucini Marinari, with either olive oil or Napoli sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed by all. It's byo wine, with reasonable corkage.

A little gem in East Malvern. Visited for mum's birthday and will be returning for wedding anniversary. Penne polo ✔ Mediterranean salmon✔ (Sml) Meat lovers pizza✔ Greek salad✔ Many, many more dishes in the group with pizza, pasta, tapas devoured. Salt & pepper calamari was the big winner.

Nothing worse than having a waitress hovering around the table straight away after being seated waiting for you to order. It's like you're under pressure to order and you have no time to view menu.

Staff are always so lovely. Such good value. The seafood paella is amazing and the penne primavera, gnocchi and carbonara are close seconds! Plus a Greek salad. Has become a fortnightly tradition in my household!

Just moved back home and rather than cooking I ordered for the very first time and a wow… Two days later - shall we have something else again - and wow again. Hot, fresh and tasty and Italian home cooked portions, what more does one want?? More

Entrees: we ordered spicy capsicum dip which was delicious with a real kick! The vegetable arancini balls were over cooked but the inside flavour was yum. The salt and pepper calamari was delicious ! Perfect in favour and texture

OH MY GOSH!! Bring your appetites, the servings are HUGE!! We only got small serves and couldn't finish!! Great value, big choice and really tasty meals. Service excellent!! Will be back!! (might fast for a day first...)

The menu over all is ok, but the desert is terrible disappointing with the churros, it is rubbish. It overcook, hard as a brick, not in the shape is not even right, Inexperience waiters, need more training
