I was in this store yesterday with my mother and her boyfriend, personally I can't stand around in one spot so I was walking around the store trying to find something for my mother. As I was doing so I came across something I thought she'd enjoy so I went looking for her I told her about it, so the two of us walked over to the fridge it was in also where an employee was stalking the shelves. My mother looked at me and said "Okay, show me what you wan-" but before my mother could finish the sentence the employee rudely interrupted us and looked at me and said "You can't buy anything for her, unless she has ID proving she's over the age of 19!" giving me a dirty look, my mother continued and said " I WAS GOING TO SAY, Show me what you want me to try!" and kicked us out the store for making a rude assumption that she was going to buy me, a minor alcohol (Which I HATE). He told us she was forbidden to purchase anything from the store for the remainder of the day. As we began to walk away he said in the rudest tone "Um, The door the THAT way!" pointing towards the front of the store, my mom explained she was going to look for her boyfriend and he proceeded to give us dirty looks. My mom found and told her boyfriend what happened, my mother pointed out who it was and her boyfriend nicely went up to him and said "Excuse me, do we have a problem?" the employee proceeded to give dirty looks as he accused my mother of trying to buy for minor (which she wasn't), I quickly said "Excuse me, I was like if you stopped disrespecting my mother" he interrupted me several times, so I did have to repeat myself multiple times and before I could speak my mother said "Excuse me, can you give her a chance to speak?" He proceeded to give me a dirty look as I spoke and before I could finish (AGAIN) he said "I'm not disrespecting her!" I replied with "Yes, you are" but he interrupted once again. I was quite upset by this point because of the disrespect shown toward my mother, her boyfriend, and I. In my opinion, find a better store, their employees are rude and inconsiderate it's not worth it.

This will be more of what you get vs a single experience review. Parking is normally pretty easy to get unless it's just before a holiday and everyone is comping in for their last minute fix (wouldn't want to run out for the 1 extra day that they close for...phew). I have to say that I'm fairly impressed by how much they have and offer compared to other LCBO locations. Beer, cooler and cider refrigeration units line the enter right side of the store and into the back corner. You can likely get anything you're looking for here unless it's out of season or you're looking for a large selection of vintage items. You'll want to visit the rideau location for the basement vintage section if you want the best variety . Since the beginning of covid , they've offered curbside pickup and still have some dedicated parking spots for that. I'm running short on time and have to get going , so I'll end my review here. Sorry for leaving out some things , but generally this really is one of the better lcbo locations around the ottawa area. I've likely been to every one and found they they have a larger selection of chilled drinks that are more popular, but if its something that isn't hugely sought after, chances are you'll have to grab the warm ones and drink it later (sad face). Staff at this location are normally pretty nice. If you ask a question they will stop to help you locate what you're looking for and even suggest another location if they have stock. Cheers' J.

Awful! LCBO staff at this location, including a supervisor, is lacking not only basic customer service training but also a basic "common sense/logical thinking" training. For sure, I am looking for the application of the law, but also for the common sense interpretation of the law. I was denied purchase of wine that my 18 years old daughter, living with me at the same household, was helping me place on the counter. Note: I have a serious injury that prevents me from heavy lifting, and I informed a clerk and a supervisor about that. They still refused my purchase. I left the store insulted and humiliated. I felt like a criminal trying to buy alcohol to a minor! My daughter was only trying to help me, and by the way, don't you think that if she really wants to drink "my" alcohol she has access to it in my house anyway? That is just simply "stupid" and don't tell me that our legislation intention was to be stupid!

It is extremely irritating that the LCBO rearranges half the store every month or so, but has yet to organize its beer section in some logical way, e.g., grouping all of the sour beers, or all of the stouts & porters, etc., so that I can easily find specific beers or try out a variety of beers of the same type. Having said that, I have found the staff knowledgeable and helpful, and I have always enjoyed the staff-selected wines & sake by the staff member Natale. If you see "Natale's Pick" on a lable on the shelf, buy that bottle because you can be certain it will be very good. It should also be noted that this location has gone all-in on its gin selection, which features several excellent Ontario & Canadian brands. The selection of single malt scotches is small, however, it is carrying a wider variety of Canadian whiskey.

Wouldn't take my id and made my friends drive all the way back home for my other id. Still looked skeptical when I presented my PASSPORT and kept trying to get me to get a $30 LCBO id. Looked extremely pissed when I kept declining. While I was waiting for my friends to come back I was sitting on one of their drawers. None of the cashiers seemed to mind but the manager came out of her office just to rudely tell me to get off and didn't even ask to what I was waiting for. The id that I had used first was something I had used at this LCBO several times before and never had problems with. Montrose was my cashier. Never going back here.

Have you ever been to an LCBO? Because this is one! It has booze! Alcohol! Beer, wine, and more alcohol!! I'm not sure what you need to see in this review. It has very good staff, tends to have extended hours when some of the smaller LCBOs may close early. They have a large selection of the drinks I'm interested in, specifically scotch, beers, and wine. As for the other drinks, they've got a normal amount of those. Again, not sure what you need to know in a review for an LCBO, but thanks for reading. TLDR: They got booze and good hours. Drink responsibly.

  • Chris Eisener

Normally my favorite location to go to as they have a good variety and staff have a lot of knowledge. went in last night to find they no longer carry my favorite brand of vodka, not their fault so i ask one of the staff to something similar as it was a very smooth vodka, he suggest a couple of them and i chose from one of his recommends and when i got home and tried it i was extremely disappointed, it was nothing close to what i normally get was not smooth and felt like it was going to burn a hole in my throat from just one small sip,

  • Steven M

This is a great location. It is large and a huge array of wines, spirits and beers and more!! It's especially great for entertaining as you can get a varying degree of stuff and not have to go to multiple stores - the staff are amazing and service is awesome - whenever there's a line up they call for help and the lines start moving quicker. Even when it's busy the cashiers always make a point to say "hello" and "how are you" it is very pleasant. If I could I would work there as it feels like a very nice atmosphere. Great job!!!

  • Abdalah Dia

Realistically, what can be said about a government owned liquor store? You don't really have any option of where you purchase anything. But since this is primarily a location review, I shall stick with that. Like any LCBO, you'll probably find what you're looking for here. I've never been concerned in that regard. Also the parking is probably one of the better ones considering the locations in Ottawa. Staff also do their job well enough that I just don't have much really to say in that regard.

  • Maxime Saumur

I came to this LCBO looking for some Jameson, seems to have a shortage in Ottawa right now. I asked the first employee I saw as I wasn't interested in looking for anything at 8pm on a Friday night. Phil? (If I remember correctly), he was 65, I still can't believe it even after he showed me his ID. He was an ABSOLUTE HOOT from top to bottom, even opened up another cash, super convenient. I might just have to start using this location for my wine and liquor needs.

  • Nathaniel Penner

This is the best LCBO I have ever been to. The staff are super friendly. The best part of this location is the variety. This is the regional hub location for the Ottawa region and thus has the best variety of product I have ever seen in Ontario. The staff are super helpful and well trained. I had a spontaneous nosebleed while there and a staff member brought me back to the staff bathroom so I could take care of it.

  • Gordon Allison

Note. Removed a previous 1 star review but later found that a glitch in the online ordering resulted in my order being shipped to a different store. Good selection. Needed some non-alcoholic beer and they have some from Big Drop (England) that tastes good and doesn't seem to be available at other stores. They lose a star because they don't consider alcohol free beers to be worthy of putting in the chill cabinets.

  • Kim

The old price for an item was listed but came up on register with new price. I questioned it, showed them the tag but they would not honour it. Employee at cash was not helpful at all and the one who checked the price was very rude. I asked for a manager but they said there was not on there. Employees need some training on customer service and how to deal with such issues..

  • Daniel L

Large location with a wide selection. Staff has always been helpful and nice. It's such a busy location that stock flies right off the shelves and you sometimes won't find what you're looking for, but there's plenty of alternatives and you can always ask someone to check in the back. One of my favorite LCBO's in town, and also the central distribution point in Ottawa!

  • Andy Silis

Excellent variety with a broad range of selections. We even found three bottles of a family favorite that was de-listed four months ago. The staff is also very helpful when you can't find something or want a suggestion. The one thing that could be improved would be if they stopped rearranging where things are located so you don't have to hunt for a product

  • Mikaël Gravé

I’ve only tried the curb pickup lately and it’s great. Although you don’t seem to have access to all the choice available in store when ordering online, you still have a large selection, especially for beers, including microbreweries. The same day pickup service is excellent (and free above $50). You’re served immediately upon arrival. Felt very safe.

  • Vishal Rathi

Smaller place but has almost all the stock that you might need, Staff is mostly helpful, parking is plenty and the location is also good. There is a close by food outlet as well (you can tell by the smell as you step out) which one should visit in my opinion. Other than that it is a regular LCBO and offers what all other LCBOs offer.

  • Kristin Grant

I definitely think this is one of the best locations for variety and keeping products in stock. The only downside is that it can get extremely busy and hard to get into the parking lot because of truck deliveries and general congestion. Sometimes one of the entrances is even blocked off to allow truck deliveries.

  • Daris ads

They location is good as it's a old building that been in business for very long time! The road is pretty alright. There's intereselection but to get in home Depot. However LCBO have 2 entrance which is good for cars heading south not those who heads north during busy hours. Still a great store and it's huge!

Rarely does someone ask you if you need help, even though they see you searching. At times, long line ups with only a few cashes open. On most visits the cashiers are simply going through the motions. Some cashiers have attitudes, and project the customer as an inconvenience and a disruption to their day.

  • Simon Rechico Moisan

Large selection with experienced staff that know what their talking about especially Nataly the head sommelier. They have everything every other LCBO has but perhaps a wider selection than most. Parking can get gull quite quickly during peak times but most people don't spend a long time shopping.

  • Patrick Dean

One of the better lcbo's, esp if looking for specialty alcohols such as tsipouro or Moldavian wines, raki, sliwowica etc.. beer selection ok quite good selection of ciders. They have seyringer schlossbrände i got the apricot schnaps and it is very good.and reasonably priced. Worth trying.

  • Joseph Maczka

Came here looking for a white wine to complement bold, smokey food, and the gentleman who helped us was amazing! He gave us a few recommendations, and when we asked for a second bottle of our choice he wasted no time looking in the backroom for more. I've never had a bad experience here.

  • Blankita Mrs

Has basically every type of drink you would be looking for...many other stores around only carry certain drinks and others carry different certain drinks...but I found that this LCBO has topped them all! They seemed to Carry all of the cooler and ice tea flavoured drinks in particular!

  • Adrian Sjoberg

This LCBO is definitely on the smaller end of the spectrum but still offers a good variety of spirits and wine. Their beer selection is notably quite smaller than most locations, limited to a few fridges in the back. Service has always been great and usually lots of parking available

  • Marshall Hillyer

Very knowledgable staff. I took in a picture of a wine bottle and asked for something similar (as the original bottle was no longer in production). The guy walked across the store, picked up a bottle and said try this. He was 100% on the mark. Great selection in store as well.

  • Roger Delisle

This is Ottawa's warehouse outlet so the stock is usually quite good. It's too bad that a province-controlled market is limiting the selection of import wines in what should be a free market. Go to Gatineau to complement the selection of wines, as Quebec buys different ones.

  • Martin Brunet

For the main distribution center it lacks a lot of choices. The aisles are poorly distributed and it feels cramped for such a large facility. It's like head office doesn't care because they know you don't have many choices of where to go for spirits. This place should shine.

  • Colin Tyler

This store did not have any of the full line of wine selection from Fielding Estate Winery but it did have their Riesling in the vintages section. No other red or white. Questionable sku selection omitting a major Ontario winery. Let's hope they catch that by our request....

  • Berger D

They are the ottawa warehouse so usually have the greatest selection to choose from. Side note try Collective Arts Prophets and Nomads craft beer, its a Himalayan Pink salt and Coriander beer thats a sweet sour beer. Its my favorite so buy it so they keep making it.

  • Everett Grant

Its an LCBO plain and simple. Well stocked and with a pretty good selection of spirits. It can be a little busy at times so if you're grabbing a case of beer for game day you are going to have to wait in line. The lighting is a little dim for some reason though.

  • J Seb

Definitely the best selection LCBO in the area probably even in Ottawa. They have great wine and a large selection of beers from different breweries that you can mix and match. The parking is a little crowded and hard to get out sometimes in the peak hours.

  • Kayla Buttle

There are many LCBOs in Ottawa and I was very happy how the staff were managing the social distancing. I easily found everything I needed and was pleased by the selection. Lastly the cashier was amazing! He was polite and funny and definitely made my day!

  • Gordie Laverty

This location is a bit out of our way, but we always come here to handle our large banquet orders. Whether we're spending thousands on booze for our events, or returning items through our special occasion permit, the staff always takes great care of us.

  • Antonio Romeo

My wife called LCBO on Bank Street and order all of their remaining Corasco Red Wine and asked me to pick it up. By the time I got their, our order was ready at the counter. Great service and great selection Sorry everyone - no more Corasco in stock.

  • Link Mod

Was just there (October 17th, 6:40pm) when this absolutely unhinged dude started making a fuss. Manager handled it very well. Only thing they could've done better was deny the dude service, but I can understand how that would just make it worse

  • blake uurainen

6 stars, they actually paid people to direct traffic it was so busy before Christmas! They even kicked out the guy who parked in the handicap spot incorrectly, he was in shorts and sandals and said something about gel in his hair hahahahahahaha

  • Brian Eng doing his Theng!

Very convenient location. It has a lot of selection in alcohols from beers to wines. The staff is always great and the hours are reasonable. Parking can get a bit tricky during high periods like weekend evenings but overall it's not too bad.

  • hannabarbarawojcik

Extremely rude sales representative today by the name of Alan. I had smiled at him when approaching the cash and said 'hello'. Single word spoken by him at cash: "ID." No hello, no courtesy whatsoever and he actually refused to state the

  • Seeing the world In a different way

This LCBO Store is located at 1980 Bank st. near Walkley road. This store is clean and the shelves are well stocked with a wide selection of beer, wine and spirits. I like going to this particular LCBO because of its large vintage wine

  • Sohrab Ebrahimi

Love the selection and comparing to other locations its very well managed even when it gets hectic and busy. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful the only problem is finding one when you need help! All in all great location

  • Sheree Y

Very knowledgable staff who helped me find more than what I was looking for on the busy Friday of May long weekend. Took time to show me some options as well as recommending something new to try. No long line up at register either.

  • cheryl chongsiam

They're clean, they have less mainstream items that might be hard to find elsewhere, they're well stocked, their bright, the parking is ample, they're not particularly friendly but they're not mean. They'll get you what you need.

  • Sophie

Cashier told me I had zero balance on my gift card and she kept it beside the cash register. $130 was remaining, she lied, I only found out as I did a last minute exchange before leaving the store... CHECK YOUR CARD balance.

  • Sam Arora

Very knowledgeable staff to help suggest a wine our of the vast majority of selection. Not being an avid wine drinker, it was very helpful having someone make suggestions without making me feel bad for not knowing anything.

  • Sean Docemo

This LCBO has a very good wine section, and has a cintages section. The craft beer section is only good there's room for improvement in the selection. It really is a shame that this location doesn't have a cooled bear room.

  • Cris Baets

The help you get from the various staff are what make this a decent stop to pick up a new wine or find a great pairing for dinner. They take lots of courses and are always willing to share their experience and knowledge.

  • Jim Simpson

The hours open posted for this store are inaccurate. Web says open until 10:00 p.m. I arrived at 9:35 Tuesday evening Oct 30 and the store was closed. Perhaps closing times should be shown as "varies - take a chance".

  • Gailene Green

This is one of the mid size LCBOs but still has a large selection to choose from. Though the beer selection is small, likely due to being almost next door to a Beer Store. Fast, efficient, helpful and friendly staff.

  • Nachtengel01

Way better selections than SAQ. I often see enough whiskeys, rums, and bourbons we will never see in Quebec. They have good prices and their staffs are super friendly. Always a treat when I visit the nation capital.

  • Matt Bowen

Great selection of wine, good selection of beer, OK selection of single malts. Friendly staff, cards often (if you're worried about that). During peak periods, staff control traffic in the parking lot, which helps.

  • Anibal C

Crappy parking But has a great selection in wines ( love their xmas displays atm ) Got a literally sparkling bottle of wine for a dinner tonight Got a great bottle of tin cup American whiskey 42 proof 40% alcohol

  • Rob Landon

I'd say Rideau King Edward has the best selection, but this one comes close. Being the warehouse they always stock a lot of items not found elsewhere. It's busy but it nearly always has what I've come for.

  • George W

Store is not laid out very well as the long lineups for the cash register snake around to where the beer is displayed. This makes it very hard to access the coolers and shelves to view the products.

  • David Thompson

As this is the main distribution centre for Ottawa, you will fine a great deal of options not readily accessible at a lot of local centres. It is worth the trip if your looking for something unique.

  • Sarah Charbonneau

Very clean and organized store. Staff are very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Lines ups at the cash are never more than 3-4 customers deep. Makes for a positive and quick shopping experience

  • D C

Good selection of vines and spirits. Friendly staff, convenient location and decent amount of parking in front. The need for security guard tells me the sad state of affairs we find our selves in.

  • Al

It has a The Beer Store feeling. Fridge were half empty on a Friday evening... only 2 cash register open, again on a Friday evening. Bad experience. Still, I was able to find my favorite wine.

  • Mary Marquez

They have a varied and wide selection of some of the finest brands from around the world and Canada. Some of the top award winning Venezuelan rum can by found at LCBO, definitely recommend!

  • Garth

Great selection of wines from different countries and spritzers couldn't find the wine I was looking for but was offered different selections and I am very happy with the wine I purchased

  • Lisa

I was looking for 2 kinds of wine and was able to find them easily as the product sections are clearly labeled and any the staff is great when you have any questions about the products.

  • Danielle Reklitis

One of the sale lady assisted me with choosing 2 wines that I never tried before after she inquired about my taste. Cashier was also very helpful with answering a question I had.

  • Maybelinne Kp

I liked the red wine Tryst and go here to buy it. They have a large collection of drinks Warm and friendly staff, wide aisle and good collection of drinks (alcoholic beverages ).

  • Ethan Pick

Nice LC. I found that it tends to get very busy in the afternoon but I was impressed at how fast they worked through a line that spanned almost the whole length of the store.

  • Valerie

The store is ok. Most employees are ok. The parking lot is terrible. Way too small, weird entrance, very dangerous honestly. I try to go elsewhere when I can because of this.

  • Steve Buell

It's a liquor store. What more do you need to know? Great selection, friendly, knowledgeable staff. They can help you match your beverage choice to your menu or activity.

  • Jason S

Great LCBO, come here a lot to grab alcohol for the weekends. I love the staff and couldn't really ask for more! Definitely a good place to get your spirits and liquor.

  • FyreTime

Staff had cash open with no customers for over a minute while i stood in a 3 person line. Small complaint, not anhuge deal, so still 5 star. Everything else was great.

  • Christina XINA Lamothe

What can I say: one of the largest LCBO lots of booze. I went there for 2 boxes and my fave 0 alcohol Beer called Partake - in turquoise can. They were sold out …

  • Olga Pekalska

Great location. Amazing and helpful staff. Everything I wanted and more was in stock and easy to locate in the store. Will definitely be back to this location again.

  • Joel Racicot

Nice to see all LCBO employees working hard to make the store safe with hand sanitizer, cleaning of carts and baskets and masks and/or shields. Good job folks!

  • Marc-Andre Montreuil

Wide variety of alcoholic beverages. From Beers to coolers to wine and spirits, this place has it all. Great selections and their vintage selection is huge.

  • King Damon

Best LCBO I’ve been too. Excellent selection. There staff are knowledgeable and service is excellent. I highly recommend visiting this one above all others.

  • Mathieu Proulx

For a great city like Ottawa, there is not enough stock for many products, as for example, I bought the last Somersby Apple Cider they had. Service is ok.

  • Garth Cote

Couldn't find the white wine that I was looking for but was recommended another wine. Great selection and will be buying it again. Friendly helpful staff

  • Jess Mace

This used to be one of my main LCBO's when I lived just off Bank. Great selection and very convenient location! They even found the umbrella I lost once!

  • Gabe Rajhathy

This is the worst lcbo i have ever visited. It is often out of stock with popular brands and this last time my cashier was not the friendly i am used to

  • Clarence Menezes

One of the largest stores with a huge variety and knowledgeable staff. If you don't know what you want, the staff will be happy to recommend something.

  • Janet Bufton

Good selection, nice not to have to go all the way downtown when we need something nice. Has most things King Edward does. Staff is generally helpful.

  • Subhajit Chatterjee

It's really good place to buy alcohol. This store has got quite reasonable collection! Parking is also available. One one bus goes here, number 6.

  • H M

Good location with large selection and knowledgeable staff. When it gets busy the parking situation can get complicated... Especially in winter.

  • D Q

Good fast service. More friendly than other locale. College Square, Hazeldean and Rideau are also good. Good size for the area. Happy Drinking.

  • Luc Therrien

Great selection, they have a tons of different liquors. Probably one of the best place for Gin, Vodka selection! Service is good and friendly.

  • Donna Bowes

Beggar outside of liqour store. Begging for money. He had a dog , so instead of money I gave him a bag of dog food. High quality food mind u.

  • DAADs Reviews

I dont drink anymore. But fantastic selection. One of the bigger locations with plenty to choose from wine to beer and everything in between.

  • Jeanne B. d'Arc

I love this place, always have samples, large red wine variety and when you order online you can pick up here SAME DAY If available in stock

  • Kat D

Friendly staff always ready and willing to help hunt down an item with you. Vast selection of alcohol layed out in an easy to navigate way.

  • Ian Johns

It's nice it has a growler station but I'm pretty surprised how plain the store is. Premium location too. Rideau Street has the best LCBO.

  • Mr L

Had a fantastic experience, the workers are very helpful helping me find what I need! The store manager has great staff under his belt.

Clean store. Fully stocked shelves. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Ample parking out front and easy to access. Decent store hours.

  • Dodd Ouyang

Big LCBO with ample parking, close to TnT supermarket. Lots of choice on wine but not much for international spirits and liquor.

  • Ted Sapp

Can't speak about the wine & liquor selection but if you're into beer you'll find plenty of choices to mull over. Recommended.

  • kavan salehi

I was waiting at the register and the employee who looks like corban blue completely ignored me and served a female instead.

  • kokuuakupi kangootui

Please don't stop bringing the Savanna winter or Summer time one of the best African cider mainly South Africa and Namibia
