They are a small family business. The pharmacy looks small and unassuming, but I love coming here. I am always treated courteously, like a human being, not an annoyance like at some of the large pharmacies. You get to know the pharmacists and staff and they know you. They have an app they use, RX Local, so I can just ask for refills online, which makes it easy. It’s not chaotic and disorganized like the big chains. I take ADHD medication and I don’t feel judged when I drop off my RX for refills or pick it up. I always felt judged at Fred Meyer. I use private insurance, but they take Medicaid also, which some of the big pharmacies don’t. And refills are quick to get prepared, even on short notice. Finally, I know they won an award recently for their fantastic efforts in getting the community immunized. Out of all the Portland pharmacies and hospitals and clinics, they received the award for their efforts. I know they offer walk-in immunizations for covid, which most places don’t. Their pharmacist told me about it and showed me the award plaque. I’m embarrassed to admit I was a total grumpo recently when I went and had to wait just a few min for my refill, and I was still treated very courteously. So I figured the least I could do is write this review. This place is a little gem :)

A+++! NO Appt., NO wait! Walk in service, and great care! Highly recommend! Everywhere else we had to go online, and search for an appointment which was usually weeks out. Le Care Pharmacy is the place to go! I took an immuno compromised person who was overdue by 6 months for their booster. They had lost their original vaccine card, and the pharmacist was even able to look up their name and see when, where, and what type of vaccine was originally given. Excellent, friendly and professional service! Actual shot only took one second! No pain at all! In and out in less than 10 minutes. It only took that long because we changed our mind on which vaccine to get, which the pharmacist kindly did. Fifth person in our family to receive their booster here. Four of those people needed last minute boosters to travel abroad, and we're all able to get booster vaccines without an appointment. Walked right in off the street. Don't go to this pharmacy. The reviews are not accurate. I have 2 necessary diabetes prescriptions that I needed by early this week. I submitted these prescriptions on Friday, was told they should have them filled by Monday. On Sunday at 630pm I get a phone call from the owner saying, he isn't going to fill my medications and I will need to find a new pharmacy. All because my insurance is new to them and won't pay him as much as if I used the generic prescription. I asked if there was something I could do, but no I was informed my business wouldn't be accepted here..... Talk about customer service. I get that the the pharmaceutical and health care systems are screwed up, but after the recent cvs closure I thought I would try to use my local and highly reviewed pharmacy. Jokes on me! Don't let the joke on you either!

Recently moved to Portland, and I chose LECARE as my pharmacy. This is my first time using an independent pharmacy, and so far everything's been great! One major advantage of independent pharmacies is that unlike the bigger chains (e.g. Walgreens, CVS), they can source medications from a variety of manufacturers and are thus less affected by shortages. Everyone that I've interacted with who works there has been super helpful and kind, and the app makes it really easy to check on the status of your prescriptions/view your medication info. You can even use it to message the pharmacy, which is really convenient. There's no dedicated parking, but you can park on the street or at the Trader Joe's next door. I don't have a TJ's near me so I like to use picking up my prescriptions as an excuse to go there.

My first time using them since Fred Meyer is too busy now so I thought a small pharmacy would be faster. Communication was terrible! I called at 11 something to ask them if they received my prescriptions and they said they will call me back if they need anything. My husband came to pick up my medications around 3pm and it wasn’t even fill yet. He had to wait for 30 mins and told they don’t even have one of the medicine in stock. Then after he left they called to tell me that. Their excuse was they were waiting for my insurance card. Whether I have insurance or not, it shouldn’t matter. It should have been filled a long time ago and at least let me know they didn’t have it so I can fill somewhere else in time before the other pharmacy store closes. I’m very disappointed in how they handle all this.

I heard about lecare walk-in boosters in passing from aquaintances and friendly strangers, after a couple weeks of trying to make appointments for the booster through every major pharmacy and govt site, I finally decided to just wait in line. From getting in line to walking out on cloud nine, took about TEN MINUTES total. That included a pharmacist taking the time to elaborate on the most recent data on omicron. They are quick, professional, friendly, and patient. A couple VERY upset kids got their shots in front of me and the LECARE staff was calm, reassuring and efficient with them. This pharmacy is single-handedly picking up the slack our health systems dropped after the first round of vaccinations. I am forever grateful to LECARE for taking care of our community; thank you!!

I got my first COVID booster here after hearing about how quick and easy it was to do here - just walk-in. Had a great experience with that back in October of last year and as soon as I heard they had the new bivalent boosters I knew I'd come back. There was a line stretching over to trader Joe's, and it still only took 30 minutes to get my shot. They are very organized and efficient but also super nice (they grabbed some chairs for kids waiting just a few minutes for their parents to get their shots). It was just positive vibes all around and couldn't be easier. Don't waste time making an appointment! (I made an appointment for a flu shot the other day and it still took 15 minutes with no line!)

I received both doses of the Moderna COVID vaccine here. The pharmacy is clean and accessible (park at Trader Joe's; bus stops in front of the pharmacy). They are organized and everyone is friendly and helpful. The pharmacist administering the shots is very thorough and kind. If you are looking for a place to get vaccinated, this is it! There was a line, but it moved quickly. For all you pet parents out there, this is also a compounding pharmacy, so if you dread pilling your cat, contact them to see if an alternative can be developed. If I didn't already receive mail-order prescriptions through my health insurance, I'd get all my meds filled here. Glad they are in the Hollywood district.

My 3-year old son got his second Moderna shot here. He is terrified of vaccines and was crying and shaking even before we entered the building. The pharmacist couple were extremely sweet and patient with him and made the best of what could have been an rough experience. Afterward, the man said to my son “you were scared and brave at the same time. When I get shots, I can’t look.” In my opinion (and that of Daniel Tiger) it was the perfect thing to say. I would absolutely take him here again. Thank you!

I had a wonderful experience at LECARE Pharmacy when I needed an emergency Tetanus shot after scratching my arm on a rusty fence. Unlike other providers (I spoke with a clinic earlier that day that was very unhelpful), LECARE was available, kind, and slowed down to answer all my questions. He had a calming voice and wonderful bedside manner that meant a lot on a not-so-great day. Even though this pharmacy is across town from my house, I will try to support this place as much as I can in the future.

Major kudos to the folks at Lecare. Just received covid booster there. I was away from home for less than an hour. drive time is about 30 minutes, so i was there for only about 20; and in the chair for the injection for a bout 1 minute. several people in and out to handout and collect consent forms, leaving the pharmacists free to give and go. I appreciate the sense of urgency the staff had to get people in and out with a good dose of professionalism and efficiency as well. way to go Lecare.

I transferred to LECARE after service at Rite Aid was becoming totally untenable. I've been so happy with them for the past year or so. Staff is always so helpful and friendly and they always have my medications ready quickly. My favorite thing about them though is how excellent they are with the covid vaccines. My son got a booster from them and the doctor did a little trick and my son didn't even notice he'd gotten the shot! It was amazing! I highly recommend this pharmacy.

My husband and I tried to make an appointment to get the booster shot and none of biggest chain pharmacies were available. somehow my husband found lecare pharmacy where we can jwalk-in and get the shot. Luckily there wasn't line, so we could get the shot right away. It took only about 2mins to get the shot. I thought it's convenient and efficient. The staffs were very kind and quick. Initially it was to stay open till 9PM trying to fill 4 vaccines they had to not go to waste, and then all this week had been open availability. Walk in, provide some information (for government and such, is my understanding), and get your shot. I DID feel slightly rushed, but then, there was only one person attending, and 4 people waiting, so I get it. Overall, the person was super kind.

Well organized, kind, and as quick as one could ask for for a walk in clinic's COVID-19 boosters! I had learned about this walk in booster option from the Portland Subreddit, and I cannot recommend them enough. It took about 45 min on a Monday afternoon in early December to get from the back of the line to the shot in my arm. They have both Moderna and Pfizer options, and shots for both adults and kids. I highly recommend this pharmacy!

Bivalent booster walk in. The line moves fast, they're really efficient and fast. After not being able to find appointments for weeks at other pharmacies, being unable to even CALL other pharmacies to ask about walk-ins, and driving around to others unsuccessfully, LECARE answered the phone with a real person, said yes walk right in, and we were in and out within 15 minutes. We will always come back here after this positive experience.

Staff are super professional and really nice. came in for COVID shots and they made the experience pleasant. they opened in 2020 and they are small but they offer the personal attention that the sprawl-mart monster pharmacies cannot provide. Boy, I thought it was too good to be true after I had spent hours trying to find appointments for booster shots for my husband and I, when a friend told me about walk-in booster shots at Lecare! I went on a Monday morning, there was basically no wait and I was in and out in 15 minutes. Super nice staff and they seem really organized. I'm so glad I switched my prescriptions over to LECARE. I feel like this is what a Pharmacy is supposed to be like. You can get to know your pharmacist and feel like they know you too. The staff go above and beyond. It's super easy to refill a prescription on the app, and I get notified when it's ready. Also you can park at the Trader Joe's parking lot which makes it super easy!

This is the only pharmacy in the area that I've found that reliably carries COVID vaccines/boosters, and doesn't require you to be immune compromised or elderly to get one. This place is amazing! Family run and they are prioritizing giving out the vaccine to the community. You can either sign up on their site or walk-in (if you sign up online and see the confirmation just go show up they are so busy they won’t get to email or call you)! Best place I've gotten a vaccine ever! There was no wait, it is small and cozy with a heater near where you sit. The pharmacist was kind and let me warm up the injection in my hands as it just came out of the fridge. She did the injection slowly so I had significantly less arm pain than with the other two shots I got elsewhere. Thank you LECARE!

Came here for my booster shot in November. Waited in line for 30 minutes in the rain, under cover. One of their employees came out handing everyone sheets to fill out for their shots. Transferred my prescription here a few months ago when I moved to the neighborhood. It is a family owned business that has won awards for how many people they have vaccinated and will figure out your insurance and how to get medication cheaper. I love this pharmacy so much, and I can not recommend it enough.

The staff is so friendly and patient! And so good with children! While waiting for my booster and flu vax, there was a mother and two young kids ahead of me, the man administering the vaccines took such care joking around and asking them math questions to distract them. Came with my two high-school-aged children for Covid boosters. Such a better vaccination experience than Safeway or QFC. There was a short line, but it moves fast. I've been the only customer at Safeway, waited for 45 minutes, and then been scolded for asking what the deal was.
