There are bad and good days, went here last night with my partner and the food was burnt (including the rice which tasted like it was coated in canola oil or something similar). Food was poor and the staff seemed quite stressed. The rice was very very different to how it normally is which was sadly very disappointing but the dumplings and Ragu beef where also very disappointing meals to say the least considering they’re our go to when it comes to food takeout. It was almost like a completely new set of staff showed up and took things over for the night and I was very disappointed to have wasted money here. When it’s good it’s Amazing and the food is to die for! Beautiful restaurant and top service from staff! There’s a fun maze to get to the toilet but it’s a great adventure for when you’re wanting to get away from embarrassing family conversations fried rice, honey chicken, the satay beef and chicken are mouth watering! Drinks are awesome and it’s just an awesome little restaurant to go to!

Really disappointing. Ordered a veg fried rice.. when ordering, waiter asked if we wanted it to have no chicken (generally what veg means!), but despite confirming this, we were served the chicken and prawn rice. Sent it back, and it came out having clearly just had the prawns and chicken picked out, since there were still bits of prawn throughout and what was left was a very small serving. It certainly wasn’t a veg dish either, having a total of 1 piece of carrot, 1 pea and 1 piece of broccoli in it. Lucky we aren’t allergic to prawns! The jungle chicken was like licking a salt rock. The honey chicken was tasty but since everything else was so disappointing we won’t be returning and do not recommend. The water jug was also dirty, which makes me wonder about the state of the kitchen.

The service was pretty poor. Staff seemed new and they weren’t really sure what to do. Food was average. The dumplings we had were ok but they seemed microwaved as the outside was hard where it was joined to seal the dumplings. Satay skewers were nice, but the peanut sauce was just lacking something. But pretty good. Lemongrass chicken was weird. Seemed like it had been marinated with something you’d get for $3 from coles. Mongolian chicken was actually very nice, it was the one good thing about the experience. Shame really as I like to support small local businesses.

Very disappointing that there is no consistency anymore. Nothing is ever the same and you never know what you're going to get. Lang's curry puffs are the best I've ever experienced and one of the main reasons I visit. When we ordered these on Saturday we were not advised that they were not available but instead served curry parcels that appeared to be out of a box. The Mongolian steak tasted like black bean and it was overall very disappointing. Sorry Lang but consistency is key and when an item is not available please advise instead of substituting.

Horrible service, horrible food. Extremely unwelcoming and rude, with the food leaving a very rude taste in our mouths. Veggies raw and chicken frozen. Food quality so bad it was inedible. Not only was it disgusting!!! It took 1.5 hours for 2 simple curries to come to the table. Left two full untouched curries on the table and asked not to pay for them as they were uncooked. And owner cooked up a stink. Would not recommend and certainly would never return. Steer clear.

Staying at the McLaren Vale Lakeside Caravan Park we decided to bunker down in the wet on a Saturday evening and order a mix of starters and a healthy serving of the combination Singapore noodles. The spring rolls were crispy and fresh and the best we have ever had, the serve of pan fried dumplings heavenly, while my hubby helped himself to the Singapore noodles and was seriously impressed with the size and amount of prawns. We will order again! Thank you x

Ordered a meal from them, told them it was for a coeliac and they failed to inform that their lemon honey chicken is in fact, not gluten free.... which is just disappointing to say the least. Makes me wonder if they actually understand the seriousness of this disease. It's hard enough to find a place one can eat out as someone with CD and this makes one question the true understanding and practices involved with CD and catering to those.

Pad Thai is $18 now???!!!!!!Ordered the takeaway through phone. The only menu I can found is the one on their Facebook. It says $14. So I ordered it without doubt. When I came to the restaurant and to pay. They told me the menu was changed about two months. It’s plenty time to update the menu. Also For $4 rising for a noodle is so ridiculous. Also didn’t get informed of pricing changes at all. Such a ripoff. Shame on you!!!!!!!!!!

Fabulous food! LOVE the combination Pad Thai, with big juicy prawns and a serving size to match, because you won't want the bowl to end. Other favourites are satay chicken, crispy sticky honey chicken, and delicious Singapore noodles with prawn and pork. You can tell this food is made with heart and soul. Every mouthful is an absolute treat, and a credit to the chef. Love Langs Kitchens!

I had the Szechuan (Sichuan) Basil Chilli and wife Duck Pancakes. Both were very good, enjoyed with a bottle of Ekhidna Rose. There is a nice ambience to the place. They also have this special service where if you forget to pay for your dinner one of the waitresses and the manager will pursue you down the main street, for a considerable distance if required. Four stars!

Came for a quick dinner after sport. I ordered Chinese greens and a vegetarian wok toss. Both dishes were disproportionately French beans which were clearly off. Some had visible soft, brown patches, but even those that didn't tasted off. Once all of the beans were removed there was only a small amount left that was edible. Certainly won't be returning.

So glad we tried Langs for a relaxed birthday dinner. Food was amazing and well priced. 3 (not fussy) kids were impressed too. Staff were young, polite and gave just the right amount of service. We honestly couldn't day anything negative. Every single item on the menu sounds awesome and can't wait to go back to try something else! The gem of the Vale.

Lovely food and friendly staff! We had a great meal that was altered to be gluten free- great serving sizes, special mention to the delicious Prawn Choo Chee Curry. Will be going back for the Pho and Laksa next time!

What a great and unexpected restaurant in McLaren Vale. The food is sensational and extremely well priced. Tonight I had a special request of sweet and sour beef instead of pork. Without hesitation they said yes and made me the best sweet and sour beef i have ever had. I will definitely be back and highly rate this place!

Was a little bit of a wait for takeaway but that was totally understandable once home and tried the food. Very generous servings for entree and main (noodles) with perfect mix of fresh veg, beef and noodles. Not greasy at all. Felt very healthy and far from what is normally dished up elsewhere, this was exceptional

Slowest service! Each time its taken longer than 40 minutes. Staff dont communicate. I'm a local. Never again. When I asked for my money back after nearly an hour the owner came out and was defensive not listening to my feedback. Was argumentative and rude. One way to run a business into the ground.

Dishes are very good, especially fried rice and stir fry dishes. Be prepared to wait for a long time. Best to call to order, wait for 1 hour, then call again to check if your order is ready before going to pickup. You need a lot of time and patience to eat at the restaurant.

We know our Asian food and we thought the food was pretty average here. The Tom Yum and Hokkien noodles were bland. The Pad Thai and Laksa faired better but for the money, we won’t return.

Excellent food from fresh ingredients plus a variety of wine. Restaurant is in accessible location. Lang supports local producers and offers them to the community at very reasonable prices.

Havent been made to feel like my meals where forgotten about before tonight usually great but wont be in a hurry to come back I urge you all to order take away at least they get there food

This is the worst food we have had in along time. Ordered takeaway, didn't get what we ordered, servings very small, tasteless and both of us were sick after eating it. Stay away.

I am Vietnamese and some say very hard to please. Do yourselves a favour and come eat at this little gem. The host Lang is delightful. One of the best outside Vietnam.
