DO NOT GO HERE FOR EMERGENCIES. ESPECIALLY FOR MINOR EMERGENCIES OR ANYTHING OF THAT SORT. I have been taking my chihuahua Rufus here for 9 years (he's 9 years old) and every time I've gone I've never really been truly satisfied with my experience. The only reason I've gone here for so long is because I thought they were reasonably priced and when it comes to annual exams and wellness check ups they're alright. But after my most recent visit with them (December, 28th, 2015) I'm never ever going back. This isn't a biased review at all, this isn't to hurt them or be malicious, but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to go elsewhere if possible and save everyone the frustration, confusion, time, and MONEY. In short, they SUCK. So first off, my dog had a bump on the right side of his mouth which we weren't quite sure as to what/why it occurred. We had to wait a week or a little less because they're limited availability. They are closed all day on Thursday and Sundays. The vet there, (the only one) is not good at all. Not personable, friendly, open, in order words just really bad people skills. I honestly feel like she hates her job. In all the times I've gone there, I swear I've never seen her smile. So she's "trying" to open my dogs mouth to see what's going, but she said she couldn't see anything or open his mouth even when she had 3 other girls there helping her. (Remember, hes an 8 lb chihuahua) So she's telling me all these possibilities and she even showed me his mouth from what she could see, and so at that point I was really worried from what I saw. After that, she went on to say that they needed to give him x-rays, fluids, blood work to make sure he was healthy enough for anesthetic (even though he had just received the same blood work during the summer) amongst a slew of other charges that would add up to about $500, and that was just "diagnosis". That did not include any surgery he might need or other help or even possible meds. I didn't have that kinda money to just shell out, so we went ahead with the subcutaneous fluids because he was dehydrated. I ended up paying $50 for just that because they have a $31 office visit charge every time you go see them. Fast forward... My dog is great now because I went to another great clinic discovered by my sister where I was only charged $260 for everything he needed, and I also had a phenomenal experience compared to Las Palmas. I will never ever be returning. Other important cons observed by me through the years: - I don't see any of their credentials hanging on the walls/ are not visible to their clients. That's a little sketchy if you ask me. - The waiting room is so ugly, it smells awful all the time. Can they not afford to upgrade, not even a little for all the money they get? Not welcoming or professional at all. They always have these ugly cats laying everywhere. - Even after I left, I didn't even receive any advice from them to help my dog and I don't think I ever have. I have always had to ask them everything myself and even then they aren't really that helpful. To me, all they care about is money, specifically the woman veterinarian. There are soo many other good/decent pet clinics to go to in San Antonio, don't go to this one.

This place was ok but then i believe that they just didn't know what they were doing I had my cat go in for bad teeth the doctor told us that I needed to pay to get my cat out to sleep so she could see what teeth needed to be pull out after paying all this money she then said I had to take him to another vet to get some x-ray to see what teeth needed to be pulled out .all I'm saying watch out for there lies they might say there cheap but in the long run you would have already pay a professional doctor to do the job.so I took him to Becker animal hospital and all it took was one day to get it done yes it was more money but what las Palmas did was just took my money and did not fix the problem so watch out people they say there cheap but they are really not.please take your pet to a vet that knows what there doing .so to you Las Palomas all you did wat took almost 800.dollrs for nothing.

DO NOT GO HERE!! Complete waste of my time! I brought my 5 month old husky here because he was very sick. He had diarrhea, vomiting, loss of weight, wasn’t eating and just seemed very weak. He tested slightly positive for parvo then after they ran a second test it came back negative?? I’m not sure how that makes any sense! Couple more tests including an X-ray and $757 later still got no answers to what was wrong with him and they wanted to send me to a specialist but at that point I ran out time and he passed away!! Overall I’m just very disappointed with my experience with this clinic, the staff is super sweet and amazing but the doctor seemed to always be in a bad mood. She would always make me and my wife feel stupid for asking questions, i feel she only cared about the money not the animal! I will not be going here ever again or referring this place to anyone I know!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! The vet is the most rude person I cam across that works animals. First of all, she is rude does not even acknowledge your presence. She is rough with the animals and speaks with the customers as they were dumb and coming from someone professional she has no customer service skills, nor is she compassionate about anything. I spent 300.00 dollars just for her to tell me my cat had contacted AIDS and was going to die. She could have told me the results sooner but she waited three days later to keep my bill amount rising. She is all about money and not about treating animals. The whole experience was a nightmare and they just told me in front of everyone as of nothing. I took it so hard till this I day I am sicken that someone like that considers herself to be a professional.

Ms. Rodriguez, We are sorry you had a bad experience with us. Although the the veterinarian my appear quite she is very passionate about the animals under her care. She knows how important people's pets are to them and wants to give them the best care. We also know that money can be tight and therefore before we do any treatment we first present the owner with an estimate. Again, if your pet needs any treatment we will present you with an estimate first. As for lab results, we report them as soon as they become available. We do some testing in clinic and receive results in 10-15 minutes. Other lab work goes to an outside lab and can take several days. Again, we strive to treat all our clients with respect and professionalism.

Been only going there for a few months but the employees have been very helpful and have been going out of there way since their building is being rebuilt from the ground up. They are working out of a mobile unit but still offering great service. They have battled some issues such as computer problems but are doing their best under the circumstances. Thank you guys for keeping our puppies healthy. Update 07/26/2022 The new building is awesome along with the service. Just took my little doggy to get her spaded. The employees were very nice and caring. Will definitely be coming back with my pets.

Had appointment to get my cat neutered.made the appointment a month ahead of time.When they had a mobile office. Called me the day of the appointment to tell me they lost power and then would have to reschedule . So I thought like next day time no problem then the lady said next available appointment is month away. F that. Should have gotten help the next day. And stead of trying to go by their appointments when I set mine a month ahead of time.The same day went to a different vet to get my car neutered.. avoid this place.new building probably still doing everything the same old way.

The staff is horrible, its like a clique of childish high schoolers talking behind your back. If and when they do talk to you its like they are judging you. The vet is nice but she makes me feel uncomfortable when she doesnt speak, its like trying to pull teeth. I do not understand why good vet clinics keep hiring people with horrible attitudes to run their office. I wish they would find employees who are kind,corteous,sympathetic and reliable. I love the place but they really need a new staff.

Took my baby Sylvie to get fixed and was thoroughly explained the procedure, after care and cost. The Vet Techs that were there were so kind and friendly with her and towards us. The male vet tech gets 10 stars for being so nice and comforting to my baby and for remembering her for her follow up. Of course 10 stars to the Vet herself for doing such a great job and making Sylvie as comfortable as possible. Definitely have returning pet parents, thank y’all so much!

I am so thankful to God that Gizelle referred us to this Vet Clinic I’ve been taking my Consuelo there since I first got her and in every visit they have taken very good care of my puppy. Consuelo recently got spayed there and I even had another Vet tell me that was a phenomenal job that Doctor did on my puppy he was astonished at how nice my puppy’s incision looked I would definitely refer anyone that comes in my path needing help finding a good Vet.

I take both my cats here. The girls are nice. The vet lady does not seem unfriendly to me, I just think she is just not a very social person which is fine with me because neither am I. She answers all my questions and is helpful so I'm good with that. I like that they give you an estimate of what the services will be beforehand that way you can decide what you'd like to do. The prices are reasonable. I like the cats they have there. They're cute.

Called 4 times to set appointment because I am on vacation and never received a call back so I went by to see if I could schedule appointment but they could not squeeze me in at any time in the next 4 days I was not even offered a wait to see if some one cancels I live in the neighborhood but was using a vet in boerne and thought I should give them a try since it is so close to me but I think I’m going back to boerne

RUDE! The Vet here is NOT PERSONABLE she is rude and was rough with my little 6lbs Yorkie!! My Yorkie is tough 98% of the time when we go to the Vet. I gave the Vet 3 chances, (sometimes people have bad days) but I was disappointed with her all 3 times!! The ONLY reason this place received 2 stars instead of one is because I liked the staff very much! The staff is great, the Vet.. .. NOT AT ALL!

Although I am a low income household I use Las Palmas Pet Clinic because the availability to the humane society and other more helpful services for pets due to the pandemic are really hard to obtain. I'm thoroughly grateful to having Las Palmas Pet Clinic because the services are great the prices are negotiable they have served me well I am thoroughly happy with them.

I had a great experience with Las Palmas. They really worked with us to get the best medical attention that we could afford for our critically ill Lexie. I am so thankful for their wisdom and sincere care. Our dog was on the verge of dying but thanks to their guidance and treatment she was able to overcome her illness and is still with us today. Thank you!

I love this clinic, my puppy was attacked by a pittbull and I brought her in and they right away examined her, thankfully no stitches were needed and it was a small puncture wound. they were fast and inexpensive.i was sent home with 3 days worth of meds and my puppy was back to her self by the next day! highly recommend …

Personally would give a negative one star rating if I could. Don't bother wasting your time and money here! The staff is completely unprofessional and rude when you try asking questions. They tried to charge me up on little things and I made me waste alot of money here for nothing all the puppies I brought here got sick.

Place is classless ,non welcoming,and not to mention takes forever . I walked in with an appointment set already and only 1 person ahead of me as I was told . In reality there were more which they failed to mention and also they really don't make you feel welcomed and it stunk really bad in lobby. I do not recommend

Dr. Patricia Mcfaul is extremely professional and takes time to answer all questions about my dogs at each visit. She is awesome and the most caring vet! The new clinic looks amazing. The staff is very caring and professional. I love this place and would not trust anybody else with my babies!

This is probably the worse clinic I’ve probably ever been too. Waiting 1hour and 30 minutes for the rude ladies at the desk to waste my time. Ended up just taking my babies to another clinic, cheap isn’t always worth it to when you have a staff like this one. A HUGE negative star on my end.

I have been taking my Furry Babies to Las Palmas hospital for many years. I don't trust anyone else with their care. Everyone is friendly, courteous and efficient. Absolutely love the doctor's. I always refer my friends and their babies here. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

The only complaint I had was I could not be there when they put my cat Brooklyn to sleep...Other than that the staff was very nice and compassionate and even wrapped her up real nice in her blanket for us! Thank you so much for the care you put into this moment for us!

Not good at all. Maybe after they get there building repaired but the trailer they're working from, behind the Pic Nic, is very inconvenient, too many Potholes. Can't even see, much less, talk with the Vet. And prices are Too expensive.

I didn't have an appointment but needed to have a kitten checked for a microchip. The office is brand new and much larger than the former building. I'm glad it was rebuilt because it's very much needed in this neighborhood.

I’ve been going to Las Palmas Pet Clinic since they opened and would think about going anywhere else. The vet always gives the best advise for my pet and never doubted her opinion. Also, love the new and expanded clinic.
