Great tapas pairing with wine or cocktails! We ordered grilled octopus, watermelon salad (seasonal), smoke bone marrow and Peruvian fried chicken bites, all delicious! Seating is a little bit tight near bar area, parking lot right next to the restaurant. Good place for meeting friends and casual dining! More
I love this place. It's all about the small plates and the beverages. You really can't go wrong ordering a bunch of things to try. I love sitting at the bar to watch the jellyfish as I sip my expertly crafted cocktail. My favorite dish might be the tuna ceviche but there's so many other good dishes too! More
The food was fantastic. The drinks were really good as well -- I particularly enjoyed the Stained Glass, but the customizable Old Fashioned menu was fun too. Christian was an amazing server, very knowledgeable, warm and attentive. Overall a great experience, very glad we picked it for our date night! More
A great cozy spot to enjoy delicious food and equally good cocktails. We went for my wife's birthday and they provided a free dessert which was a nice surprise. We opted to go all tapas and it gave us a good well-rounded experience of dishes that they made and all of them (about 6) were fantastic. More
Good food, but was lacking a little something. Somehow we were thinking it would be a bit spicier? It was also expensive for what you got and some of the portions were surprisingly small (like the scallop dish - delicious but not enough food for an entree). Great service and great ambiance. More
Make sure you make resos ahead of time! Great ambiance and service. Smaller portions but enough to feed the 3 of us and keep us satisfied. We ordered the grilled octopus, steak tartare, Nikkei style kalbi beef short ribs and chocolate dulce de leche tart for dessert. Would come back again More
I have nothing but great things to say about this place. The food is so so good but still very reasonably priced. The ambiance of the restaurant is perfect for a nice date night. Our servers have been very attentive and fast. We ALWAYS leave happy and full. Definitely give Lechon a try! More
Got lucky and got a table in 5 min wait but if you have more than 2 person, definately make reservation. Tapa plates were so good and they have happy oyster hour where you can get a dozen oysters for $30. Service was awesome even though it was full house. More
Stumbled upon this on a road trip coming back to LA from Washington. The place is very nice, and the food is delicious. The host was very accommodating, and the person who helped us was part Ecuadorian. Surprise to find a fellow ecuadorian in Portland. More
This is definitely high class food that is well crafted. I wouldn't recommend going when you are hungry unless you can afford it. I enjoyed all the food and it was a lovely experience. I don't know if I'd go again but it makes for a nice date night. More
First visit to the multi year awarded restaurant. Found easy 7pm street parking on a Monday night that had a nearly full eatery. Our table for 6 ordered mostly tapas and fount each a delight. Savory flavors sometimes with a little heat made
This is by far one of the best South American restaurants I have ever been to. The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful. There was nothing from the drinks through the dessert that we did not love. The ingredients are also super fresh
If you're looking for a Latin American tapas place you can't go wrong with Lechon. Very flavorful food, awesome cocktails, great atmosphere, and friendly servers. We had the strawberry salad, octopus, baocitos, and pastel de choclo and all
This place was so dope. We probably had about 80% of the menu because we ended up eating community style. The mezcal drink was probably my favorite, and I give it a 10 outta 10. The price for the quality tasty and quality food that you get
I am visiting from out of town and this was the most recommended restaurant in portland. Wow oh wow this did not disappoint. I am on business trip so cost is covered but I would not mind to come back and pay for this myself. We got the $59
Lechon was an absolutely delicious restaurant. I’ve never experienced combinations of flavors quite like this. We had vegetable ceviche, short rib buns, corn fritters, Elote, fried olives, octopus, and brisket empanadas. It I haaad to pick
My wife and I went here for a celebratory dinner provided from one of my clients. The food was amazing. The service was excellent. The ambience was warm and personal. We sat in the back of the restaurant where it’s a little bit quieter. So
This is the spot that my long-distance partner and I frequent when he returns home. The service is always spectacular, conversations seem genuine, food is on the table quickly, and menu suggestions are always available. For one partner who
Finally found a spot on a Saturday night as I had reserved it a week ago (reservations ahead of time recommended). The ratings are worth the hype! We were seated in a booth with cozy south american style decor and cool vibes. The place was
Ambiance was nice. Service was cold and was never asked how anything was despite bringing the salad after the meal which we never ate. The dessert was many days old and we had one bit to push the rest away. Didn’t ask, didn’t care. 180.00
Amazing topas, drinks and ambiance, including a large salt water tank in the dining room and a tank behind the bar with jellyfish! There wasn't a dish we didn't like, and they left a nice note on our table for my birthday. They gave me my
We’re from out of town and heard this is a great spot to check out while in Portland. We were not disappointed! The food and drinks were delicious. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming (we loved the open-style kitchen). Our party of
A wonderful spot in downtown Portland! It feels a little hidden since there’s not many other restaurants on the block. Stepping inside though, you immediately can tell you’ll be in for a treat. It’s all shareable plates and everything we
Everything we ordered was amazing (the sauces on every thing were all exceptional! I wish I could lick the plate! haha!) and the staff was attentive, friendly and on point! This was our first time here (visiting from out of town) but we
I would say this is overhyped for the experience that I had. My wife loves this place but the food was good. Just not great. The service was just okay. Atmosphere is pretty good as well. I thought the price actually wasn't that bad. More
I cannot say enough how much my family and I enjoyed our evening at Lechon. We planned a private event with a special menu at their private dining room in the separate annex building and were pleased throughout the entire process. The
Was visiting Portland and was craving bone marrow. Looked up this place and was so thankful to be able to get a reservation in. Every single dish we had was mouthwatering amazing. The servee was always attentive. I also thought it was
Good but a little overrated for me. The brisket empanadas were the best thing we had- those were wonderful! The elote and the banana Carmel pie were pretty good. The baocitos and the pork chop(which I didn’t get a picture of)were just
This was one of the best restaurants I have been too, definitely the best tapas in Portland. Everything about the whole experience was top notch. Food was 5stars, service was 5stars, atmosphere was 5stars and they had live jellyfish.
Food was sooo fabulous. Everything we ate and drank was delicious. Christian was our server, he was very personable and so intuned with very helpful offering suggestions as to what we would like. Atmosphere was very down to earth and
Took my hubs out for his bday. We were offered complimentary champagne and got a birthday card from the staff. The food was excellent. We ordered vegetable ceviche, a few tapas (the octopus was outstanding), pork chops, and scallops.
Came here during happy hour and was impressed with the food and atmosphere. They have a large tank near the entrance with beautiful aquatics swimming. The happy hour menu was full of delightfully unique options, the bone marrow in
Wife and I went there for our anniversary. It was a Thursday night and we were surprised how full the place was. We both took the chefs tasting menu. The dishes were excellent. What really blew us out of the water were the crafted
So ridiculously good. The food was amazing. We ordered 6-7 different tapas and every single one was a 10/10. Really, really good food. Environment was also great! Service was fantastic. Can’t wait to recommend to friends. More
We found another great Happy Hour in downtown Portland! Definitely one of the best when it comes to quality, price and a large menu of options! We went a couple of times with reservations (HH is from 4-5 pm). We had the beef
Enjoyed our experience a lot at Lechon! The service was really good throughout and the dishes came out in good intervals. We were celebrating a birthday and they provided dessert on the house which was a nice gesture :) More
Excellent food, excellent drinks, excellent service, excellent all around! Go with friends and order all the things, everything was delicious! We can't wait to visit Portland again and go back to Lechon! More
Nothing special. Must be the only restaurant that serves this type of food in the city so the good reviews. The Peruvian chicken bites taste like Panda Express orange chicken. Save your bucks and time. More
The food was amazing. It is now one of my favorites. The only reason I gave a 4 star for service is because the waitress was spread too thin. Had a moment where it felt like she had forgotten about us. More
Loved the ambiance here starting with the cool Fish tanks especially the jellyfish behind the bar. We wanted the try several dishes so tapas was the way to go. Each dish was good but not as fabulous as I
This is probably the best restaurant I’ve been at in years. If this place was in a big city in would have a 3 month waitlist and triple the price. The bone marrow was unbelievable as well as the octopus.
Though my order got mixed up, the staff owned up to the poor service and corrected it. Their responsible and customer-friendly approach made a positive impression. I'd consider dining here again.
Awesome food and awesome place! We had fried olives, Peruvian fried chicken bites, lamb chops and pork skewers. Absolutely flavorful and delicious. Service was top notch!!! More
Wow, what an incredible meal over at Lechon. I usually don’t see that many things on a menu that I’d love eating, but genuinely had a hard time deciding what to go with.
Lechon was one of my first indoor, sit-down dining experiences since the pandemic era began - I had forgotten how good cocktails and shared appetizers could be.
My second visit here! They never seem to disappoint. We were greeted and seated by a friendly host! Served also informed us it was happy hour.
All the food is delicious. The tapas are perfect for sharing and the drinks are top notch! The fritters and the tartar are the favorites. More
Tapa style dishes inspired by different countries in Latin America. An true example of the excellence of the food scene in Portland.
Amazing, just amazing! Had the mal humorado cocktail, great taste, and complexity of flavours.
