You can only buy day tickets if you come to the station directly. If you want to book a meal ride, then those can be booked from their website. They also have a pamphlet for all the first class meal trains scheduled for this year. I think you can only board these meal trains at loughborough though. Leicester is a much smaller station in comparison.

Great way to get onto the Great Central station, we spent the day travelling on the steam trains between Leicester and Loughborough. Good cuppa waiting in the cafe.

Is a brilliant place to visit. Loved it. Plenty of seats and friendlier staff than your modern railway hahah. But seriously beautiful and relaxing.

Love the GCR. This station would be better if it had more in the way of catering. Still, nice little station

The train lights were very jolly, it's a shame the station couldn't have been open for coffees.

Southern starting point for GCR railway. Free car parking to re-constructed station.

The Met Cafe nearby is good, drinks and snacks are also available at the station.

Very good, but we missed the cup of tea at 10am. (Got one on the train instead)
