"It's good to have a library, especially in little Haiti"
"It was like a hidden gem here in Miami and I would definitely come back here again! The place was so nice and the ambiance was peaceful, you could even find more time to explore the place because you won't feel pressured to go buy something or what"
"Libreri Mapou is a bookstore, library, and cultural center all in one"
"The worse experience ever the owner Jan Mapou was rude to me and my sister"
"Libreri Mapou is a pillar of the Haitian heritage not only in Little Haiti but in the Miami metropolitan area in general"
It's good to have a library, especially in little Haiti. The place was easy to find , ,it was clean and very welcoming. But ,I expected a wider range of book options there. Don't really have your hope up that you will find a book you have been looking for. Oh, do not bother calling their phone number , u will not get through, it's either not working or no one to answer, I wish they'll get better selections .
It was like a hidden gem here in Miami and I would definitely come back here again! The place was so nice and the ambiance was peaceful, you could even find more time to explore the place because you won't feel pressured to go buy something or what. I love this humble book place and I would bring my cousin here soon because she loves reading.
Libreri Mapou is a bookstore, library, and cultural center all in one. Jan Mapou, the owner, stocks a large selection of books in Kreyol, French, and English. The store has a large area out back where there are dance practices and performances, meetings, poetry readings, and other gatherings.
The worse experience ever the owner Jan Mapou was rude to me and my sister. We heard about this book store from our father, who used to buy books there very often. He was disgustingly rude to us and we were very shock. I do not recommend any of my friends or family members to his book store.
Libreri Mapou is a pillar of the Haitian heritage not only in Little Haiti but in the Miami metropolitan area in general. You will find books to learn Creole, books in Creole or French, dictionaries, artwork and cultural clothing from or about Haiti, and more!
Alors je me rendu ,a cette adresse deux fois au heures d'ouvertures et j'ai trouvé porte close, rien pour indiquer un éventuel retard ou fermeture. La façade et l'extérieur étaient très sales. Peux être que cette librairie est fermée ?
This place is a great place over there and also many people come to buy a book inside only but, u not come to buy a book outside and also u can find it differently store or either wise u can buy it online as well
Il y a des livres pour apprendre à lire et écrire le créole haïtien. Et également d'autres types ouvrages en créole haïtien.
Being Haitian Spanish descent myself it feels good to come to theses stores my mother frequented theses stores all over
I like used books, They smell good and they're pretty and you can read them. And Aardvark is a good place to buy them.
Yasssssssss... Visited unexpectedly and couldn't leave. There was great food, live music, and other wonderful items.
The man is a literary genius. It was a pleasure to speak to him and to also patronize his bookstore.
Such a culturally important establishment, especially in the face of gentrification.
I only come here for the cremas. Absolutely delicious highly recommend.
I love this library and the owner is a great person
