I have been a longstanding (albeit not regular) client of Life Day Spa, frequenting the Rosebank branch. Usually, I've always had great experiences, so to write this is disappointing. My mum & I had booked ourselves in for 2 treatments. Upon arrival, we were told that there was no power, given a transformer that had blown. Sympathetic to this event that was beyond anyone's control, we proceeded to sign in, sanitise & share details for COVID tracking (thumbs up for this). Unfortunately, from this point the experience took a left turn. We went to the change rooms to get into gowns. We could hear that generators had kicked in to provide supplementary power, but walked into a pitch black room. I had to use my cell torch to provide lighting to myself & 2 other guests, for them to change effectively - awkward, given that the other guest was an absolute stranger. We went upstairs & sat on the couches & the wait began. After 15 mins & not a single therapist in sight, the hostess let us know that the therapist was finishing up with another client & that it wouldn't be much longer: fair enough. She offered for us to use the Himalayan Salt Room, which we did to make efficient use of time. Once in the Salt Room, though there was lighting, there was no heat (understandable, given that the generator probably doesn't have sufficient power to do the same job). Essentially, this was a waste of time. After another 15 mins, I left the Salt Room to find the hostess & ask how much longer the therapist would be. Again, I was told "she'll be done soon". After 35 MINS after our scheduled appt time, we were taken for our treatments. The treatments themselves I can't fault - great therapists that did a wonderful job. Probably the only positive part of the whole experience. The sound from the generators though killed any sense of peace & calm. After our massages, we were due to have a 2nd treatment, & again, after me having to go to the hostess a 2nd time to ask when it would be starting, we were told "Unfortunately, you won't be able to have it today, due to the outage." To compensate, we were given 2 vouchers to come back - appreciative of this. We went back to the change rooms, got dressed & as we were walking out, we get told "miraculously, you can have your treatment now", even though the power hadn't been restored. I replied that we would come back another time. Now came the time to settle the bill for the treatments. There were 3 people behind Reception. I still had to stand behind my mum and wait for her to settle her account, before I was served. The others were far from busy & could have settled my bill simultaneously - just complete lack of awareness. In sum, here are my suggestions for future consideration: - Please invest in some Magneto lamps/LED lighting & place these in treatment rooms & the change room (blown transformer aside, loadshedding is a reality). Its unacceptable that your poor therapists have to use their own phone torches to provide illumination (& drain their phones that they need to communicate & catch transport with). - Please call your clients 1st thing if the power is out and offer them the option of postponing - no one called & I had driven some distance to get there. Had I known the power was out & I was going to have a sub-par experience, I would have deferred my treatment to another time with no fuss. - Please ensure your hostess &/or other staff remain attentive to clients - a client should not have to come find out multiple times what is happening. The hostess plays a double role (she oversees the COVID protocol too), so I can potentially understand that she had a bit too much on her plate. But there were plenty of other "free-roaming" staff that weren't busy & could have communicated. - Please invest in Customer Service training for your front desk staff. While the hostess was polite, friendly & the therapists great, your desk staff treat clients, either as though they don't exist or as if they are some kind of imposition. A much anticipated morning tainted - we left more stressed, than relaxed.

Kindly note that I am extremely dissatisfied with the so called feedback provided, I to have I spoke to the staff 6 times in total, 2 times on the 4th of August 2020, 2 times on the 5th of August 2020, 1 time on the 6th of August and 1 time on the 7th of August 2020. On the 4th of August 2020, I was advised that i can book a standard massage when i get there on the day i can consult with my therapist who will advise which massage i should do based on my spacific needs. The website description of the treatments and the one the receptionist refers to is different which will inevitably create confusion. On the 4th of August 2020, I sent through an email stating exactly what I wanted, same was not responded to. On the 5th of August 2020, I called in again i was told that the therapist will decide what needs to be done based on my concerns, leading me to belive I could do any facial I want. The cost of the facials were not a concern to me and I would gladly pay the extra charge. On the 6th of August 2020, I called to confirm my booking however, no confirmation of actual treatments were discussed this should have been discussed or at the very least confirmed in an email which it was not. So basically each time I call the changes were not confirmed in email, should the changes have been confirmed i would have realised that I am not booked for the treatments i would have liked to get. Since there are different people dealing with clients each time they call, email confirmations would be easier to track changes. I was told that email confirmation is a policy and it was not done so clearly the correct procedure was not followed, yet the manager was unapologetic and even indirectly told me the mistake was my fault! the spa offers a luxury service, i did not recive the service i was expecting, clearly relevent process was not followed so the least that could i could have gotten was an apology, instead of advising me of what I should do "next time" acknowledge that their service is lacking and that they will improve on same next time! Lastly the manager very rudely told me that i should book my treatments individually next time to avoid mistakes? I was shocked, the onus is not on me as a customer to realise i need to book each treatment individually but rather the staff who is supposed to have in depth knowledge of the inner workings of the spa to advise me on how to go about booking my spa package so that I can get the treatments I want, the attitude and inability of the manager to understand this is portrayed through the staffs poor customer service as essentially it is the managers job to ensure the all processes are operating efficiently and all staff members operate effectively, so this whole situation to me seems as though this spa has a poor management problem. Nevertheless, I will not be booking any treatments at this spa again niether will I recommend same to anyone wanting a relaxing stress free day.

Extremely Dissatisfying Experience at Rosebank Branch of Life Day Spa My recent experience at the Rosebank branch of Life Day Spa has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the initial booking process to the actual treatment, I encountered several issues that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I opted to communicate through WhatsApp due to my work schedule, but this decision seemed to hinder rather than facilitate the booking process. Additionally, the lack of professionalism and knowledge displayed by the therapist during my treatment only added to my dismay. I attempted to book an appointment via WhatsApp on a Friday, explaining my preference for this communication method as I work at a lab and cannot make phone calls during office hours. However, the person assisting me stopped responding after 18:00, and despite the spa being open on the weekend, no one followed up on Saturday or Sunday. I reached out again on Monday, but the same lack of response occurred. The staff kept asking for available dates, and when I provided one, they claimed to be fully booked and requested another day. This pattern persisted, significantly prolonging the booking process. After expressing my frustration on Thursday, I finally secured a reservation for Friday, taking an entire week to accomplish. During the treatment, the therapist questioned the skincare products I use, and upon showing her a photo of Ella Baché, a reputable French brand, she seemed dismissive and criticized products bought "over the counter." I had to clarify that Ella Baché is a premium brand sold through their website and reputable salons, not an over-the-counter product. The therapist further questioned my skincare routine, particularly concerning my eye lids, and invalidated my choices without any solicitation for advice. The therapist inquired about my microneedling sessions and, upon learning that I do them occasionally due to frequent travel, she expressed disapproval and questioned my commitment to achieving results. She even went as far as insinuating that I should not continue with the treatment if I am not willing to put in the necessary effort. Her lack of sensitivity and judgmental attitude left me feeling deeply hurt and vulnerable. After the treatment, the therapist promised to email me an invoice containing recommended products and the next appointment details. However, despite multiple attempts to contact the spa through WhatsApp and phone calls, I have yet to receive any communication from them. This lack of follow-up and unfulfilled promises demonstrate a lack of professionalism and commitment to customer service. I have decided to seek future spa services elsewhere and will not recommend this particular branch to anyone seeking a pleasant and respectful experience.

I went for 3 treatments with my best friend on Sunday 5 November. I would not recommend driving there. The parking is very limited and squashed. Easy for someone to accidentally bump you as they reverse. I really enjoyed the floatation therapy and would recommend anyone who goes there to do it. However, I recommend you spend quite a bit of time rinsing off the salt from your body, especially the ears and hair. The Swedish massage was also so good and I’d like to give props to Letisha my therapist who gave me a gentle massage and ensured she’s not hurting me. Here are a few things I’d like for Life Day Spa Rosebank to improve on: Firstly they need to share the schedule with the customers so that we know what time our treatments are. We were told to go upstairs for our Swedish massages only to find that the treatment is in the next 45mins. We could’ve also spent more time in the shower cause our next therapy was in 45mins but we were told we’ll move on to the next after showering. So they need to communicate better in general. Secondly I’d like to ask that the spa always ensures that the body washes and shampoos are refilled. The bottle for the body wash was empty. So the treatments came with lunch cause we got a special. However there are other drinks that can be bought like mimosas etc. Prices need to be added so that we don’t ask how much but rather for the prices to be available to the customers. Also just knowing what else is available helps quite a bit. Even the complimentary coffee the flavours need to be clearly shown there on a menu. Like I said the asking is exhausting and it sometimes annoys the staff although no one seemed annoyed. One thing I do not like about this place is there is an additional R300 you need to pay if you want to share a room with your friend or partner which I find very weird and not fair in a sense. In addition to this the waiting area being outside the treatment rooms was not nice. I could hear people talking and being loud while I was getting my massage. This isn’t a great experience Salt room opened up something in my body which was so nice and felt good. I also enjoyed the hydrotherapy pool. Overall the experience was 8/10 for me. Lunch we had the Lamb pita which was good and filling as well. I will also call and speak to the manager tomorrow about this but I hated the fact that the car guard washed my car without my consent. It isn’t right that after a good session I see my wipers lifted cause they washed it. It’s not that I am being ungrateful but I did not give the car guard permission to wash my car.

NOT RECOMMENDED! (This is my first google review, I never bother with these but really felt the need to record my experience at this spa.) I received a gift voucher to Life Day spa and decided to try the Rosebank location as it was most convenient to me. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly and showed around the premises. The spa seemed clean and very aesthetically pleasing so I had high hopes for my treatment (a Swedish massage). Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. While my masseuse was lovely and quite skilled, I was placed in a room on the first floor that was clearly not intended to be a treatment room. Despite the sign printed on the door that a treatment was in progress, people kept opening the door during the hour I was in the room. My masseuse apologized and locked the door, but even then people kept trying to access the room, loudly turning the doorknob. This was incredibly distracting and prevented me from fully enjoying my massage. Then, during the last 20 minutes of my massage, 2 employees (a man and a woman) entered the room adjacent to my treatment room and began speaking loudly, their voices carrying through the thin walls. Any remaining hopes of relaxation and peace flew out the window at that point. My masseuse did knock on the wall to try to get them to be quiet but to no avail. They quieted down briefly but then started up again shortly thereafter. Add to this the treatment room’s proximity to the female changing rooms where hairdryers and other sounds could be heard and needless to say, I felt like my perfectly lovely massage was a total waste. This is completely unacceptable, especially in Joburg where there are so many other spas that provide a more peaceful experience, at more affordable prices. I informed the front desk of the constant interruptions when I was checking out, and was told that the masseuse should have locked the door. I did get an apology from one of the employees but the woman who I suspect was a manager showed no interest in addressing or rectifying the situation at all. I still have a credit on my voucher, or I would never set foot in that place again. Next time however, I will try the Fourways branch and hope for a better experience. In the meantime, I could not and will not in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone else. The only reason I even gave 2 stars was because the actual treatment was great and the space is very nice (although relatively small).

I was given a gift voucher in 2018 for Christmas. Each time I booked something came up and I had to cancel. I booked a month ago, I recieved an sms and email confirming my booking. I was personally contacted yesterday telephonically confirming my booking for today. Recieved an sms reminder early this morning I went through today it was like entering heaven. So tranqui, with soft music playing in the background. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make me feel at home. I was taken through to all the rooms. Everything was explained to me. The Spa is well maintained and impressively clean, sanitizers around each corner. I had the 1hour Swedish Massage, it was more than what I ever expected. The masseur (sorry forgot her name) was a Saint. The lights were dimmed down I was totally relaxed. The massage was so professionally done, she had the strongest hands and gave me incredible massage. THANK YOU ❤️ A complimentary hour was offered either in the Sauna, swimming pool or the Himalayan Salt room. I choose the Himalayan Salt room. It was an hour of absolute bliss. The room is beautifully set up with soft lighting and cattered cushions on the benches. Beautiful lamps which gave off an amazing aroma, situated on the walls which were covered by salt. It was lovely, just relaxing breathing in the aroma. I actually fell asleep as it was so calming. I ❤️ it. I had a complimentary coffee ☕ at the coffee bar. It was delicious. It was very pleasant I chatted to friendly helpful staff. The change rooms are well designed. Lock up cabinets for your personal belonging and valuables. Gowns and slip slips for each client. Lovely spacious showers with crisp clean white towels. I had a refreshing shower and blow dried my hair It was two hours of sheer bliss. Forgetting about everything and having ME TIME did me the world of good. I was totally relaxed and chilled, I did not want to leave. I would highly recommend it to any one. I certainly will be returning for many more pamper days THANK YOU for a lovely 2 hour get away Antoinette Rahme - Routledge

I visited the life day spa in Rosebank on Saturday 24 March and had a booking at 11am for an on the go package with my best friend. While our welcome and spa tour was lovely, there was an immense noise coming from the café area from a group of women and because the cafe is central to the spa layout, the noise could be heard from every corner, including the room where my massage took place. Although the massage was heavenly, I could not fully relax as the noise continued. I expected that a manager or staff member would have asked them to quiet down, but this never happened and the racket went on. I was told by my therapist (sorry can’t remember her name) that the manicure/pedicure that comes with my package would be done in the room because of limited space – On any other occasion this would have been fine, but I was treating my best friend and wanted to spend time with her while our nails were getting done, but we were not afforded this opportunity. I asked the therapist if there was no other way and without checking or trying to make a plan, she just said, sorry that’s the way it is. During the manicure and pedicure, the therapist cut a chunk of skin off my finger as she was tending to my cuticles. This was very painful and bled quite a bit after the treatment and stung very badly while she applied nail polish and whatever other chemicals on top of this. Only today did a scab start forming on the raw skin. The therapist did not inform me of what she had done, nor apologised – which was the courteous thing to do.

Speaker in the floatation bath was at times very loud and at times very soft, it often screeched causing a disturbance to the relaxation process. Rasul chamber was extremely hot, in fact it got to a point when we just wanted to get out as it was becoming extremely uncomfortable. The last time we used the rasul chamber, it was perfect. No fresh towels in ladies change rooms after the treatment, therefore could not shower after my treatments. The digital locks on the lockers were also tricky, had to initially try a few before finding one that works. I purchased 3 vouchers, 2 x floatation and 1 x romantic rasul for 2. When I submitted my vouchers in the end, I was told that I had to still pay R90, their explanation made no sense at all and they were struggling to submit the vouchers. At that point, I could not manage being at the spa and had to leave as I was not happy, sweating, and in need of a shower. I ended just paying the difference just to be done with. They did not have R10 change for me either so it is not credited on my name, something I will never be able to claim again. I was meant to buy a voucher for the same treatments for my friend, but after my experience, I decided I couldn’t let someone experience what I did. 3 stars as my skin does feel great and my body was detoxed but overall not happy. I therefore will never visit life day spa ever again!

This place is over-booking themselves and it's creating a sub-par experience for their clients. Not worth the money. I was there on a busy Saturday so I could forgive the lack of clean towels and the staff who were too busy to help me get my locker open in a timely manner when the electronic lock malfunctioned. But what was unforgivable is that they allowed someone to PARK ME IN without making any provisions for how to get me out. They offered to get me an uber home but how was that going to help me when I needed to run errands all day? And then I'd be stuck having to organize to come back and get my car later. That's total amateur garbage. I battled with them for over half an hour before they could locate the driver of the car next to mine. The driver came out of his spa session in his bathrobe to move his car so I could kindly maneuver out. My relaxing spa day was ruined and I barely got an apology out of it. I asked for a refund and they refused. I won't go back there again. It's not worth the stress and they're not providing an adequate service for what they're charging. Oh and by the way even though my partner and I purchased a "couples package" we were asked to pay extra to receive our massages in the same room - another amateur feature of this ridiculous place.

Two stars for ambience. Very unhappy with my experience at Life Day in Rosebank. Been here twice now and my massages were below average. For being a spa that hires the "best therapists", I was gravely disappointed. The second massage I had no technique whatsoever. For some reason it's also okay to have a spa party and book individual clients, completely taking away the calm, QUIET and relaxing atmosphere this facility is suppose to uphold. Unfortunately, and this was my mistake, I decided to book a massage for my birthday which they still got wrong?! I booked for Saturday, December 3rd which was confirmed over the phone, the receptionist apparently moved therapies around just to accommodate me. Although this phone call was pleasant and instilled confidence that this time my visit would be a great one, I was called on Wednesday to confirm my booking for December the 1st…. really? In an attempt to fix this booking, I was told that Saturday was fully booked without an apology. Needless to say, I feel I lucked out as I didn't need to waist my time and money on another massage at Life Day.

I had informed the Spa that we would be celebrating a friends baby shower with a few treatments to spoil her, and some quality time with champagne during our pedicures. My deep tissue massage was very disappointing, the therapist did a haphazard job with little technique. After 5 - 6 times trying to guide the therapist I gave up. My pregnant friend's mom-to-be massage was with a therapist who had a bad manner, not considerate of her physical needs. The spa double-booked pedicures during the time we were booked. This was not managed well by the staff at all! Instead of being considerate and client-centric, or offering us a different time, we were quickly put into a treatment room upstairs with beds that did not have working backrests, no chairs or tables to keep drinks, and no ventilation. The ambience and feel of the pedicures we paid for, was lost. I left feeling more tense than when we arrived. Admin errors and double bookings can be forgiven, but the approach taken to manage the issue is tough to get past. A below average experience all round.

  • Nicole Rudlin

My partner booked deep tissue massages for us for yesterday (18 Dec, 9.45am) when we arrived, she went into the treatment room with her therapist, I was left waiting for 10-15 mins before being called in. Our treatments were meant to be the same length of time. When I finished, she was still in the treatment room. My treatment was definitely shorter by 15-20 mins. My therapist also "scolded" me for booking a deep tissue massage and said I shouldn't have booked that massage if I didn't want it to be hard - I had not said I don't want it hard, I just mentioned that some parts of my body might be more tender. Then when we wanted to go use the stream room, someone had just started cleaning it - she asked us to wait - we waited another 20/30 mins before we could go in. They had sprayed so much bleach, that the room smelled unbearably of bleach, I didn't want to inhale chemicals, so I just went to change and leave. I've been previously and had a great time, so I was really disappointed this time. Doubt I'll be back.

  • Litsoanelo Seturumane

I'm so disappointed in this spa. This was my 2nd visit to Life Day Spa in Rosebank and I previously had another spa date at the Fourways branch which was dismal too. I went there today hoping to relax and get away from my stresses, instead, I was bombarded with inappropriate questions and remarks about my mental health. I had shared with my therapist that the medication I was on was causing my skin to break out. She then thought it was appropriate to ask whether since I suffer from depression if I have ever thought about killing myself! Instead of using the opportunity to upsell to me she asked what my husband thinks about me being on antidepressants. She could have easily said, since you suffer from depression, we offer X, y and Z treatments that can really help you relax and shut off from the outside world. Anyways, long story short, I will not be returning. And 1 full start is generous! You deserve a quarter star for this rating.

  • Carly Seager

DO NOT recommend. The worst massage I have ever had. I asked for firm pressure and it was so feather soft I felt like no tension was released at all. The hot stones genuinely burnt me twice, I flinched with pain but received no apology from the therapist. She spent so much time messing around with the hot stones and wasted a lot of my massage time while I lay waiting. It felt as though the therapist had no experience or knowledge of the muscle anatomy. Additionally, the music in the room was so soft I could only hear the extractor fan, and the lights were so bright and neon. Very difficult to relax. I have been for many many massages and this was certainly the worst I have ever had. I walked out more stressed than when I entered. I went to Africology last week for an hour massage and the quality was 100% better. Would recommend going there rather. I will not be returning to this spa.

  • Theo Smith

I bought my wife a Spa package for her birthday. She was thrilled seeing that she went to the Spa before and because she booked a session; she was allowed to use the salt pool as well. She went an hour earlier to use the facility again before her facial and got chased out by the staff. Either the rules changed or it wasn’t included in the package. The reason for the review is not because she was asked to leave the pool, it was the way in which it was done, and in front of other customers. We are both private people who only visit South Africa every second year, and don’t ever expect special treatment. But it would be nice to find a spa that’s more considered and clear in when a facility is included and when not. And if a client makes an honest mistake, to behave in a more sensitive and less rude manor.

  • Theofanis Charalampous

We had a wonderful anniversary experience at the day spa. The management was attentive, and the staff was genuinely friendly. Dimitri, the owner, made us feel incredibly special throughout our visit. The spa had a peaceful ambiance and clean facilities. The treatment rooms were cozy and created a soothing atmosphere. The treatments we received were exceptional. The therapists were highly skilled and provided excellent service. From the relaxing massages to the revitalizing facials, each treatment left us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Overall, our time at the day spa was delightful. The genuine warmth and care from the management and staff, along with the exceptional treatments, made our anniversary celebration truly special. We highly recommend this spa for a relaxing and memorable experience.

I am quite disappointed with my experience at Life day spa in Rosebank. When I made an appointment I asked for nail tips, I get there and I am booked for just gel polish paint instead of the tips. The staff claimed to have called to say they do not have stock of the tips but somehow that information never reached me. I asked to speak to the manager and the stock magically appeared but now there's no nail technician available to assist me. This dampened the mood for my birthday because all I wanted were a beautiful set of nails and they failed to deliver on that. I would not recommend this spa at all as they were unable to honour this

  • White Barry

Went here for a Valentine's outing with my wife, after booking a week in advance. We arrived 45min ahead of the schedule of our first treatment, which started more than an hour later than scheduled and it was just downhill from there. The staff got confused with our drinks order, twice, and after waiting another hour for our second treatment, which was already 2 hours overdue by that point, we called it a wasted day and left as there was no way for us to have our remaining 3 treatments completed before they closed at 17:00. This branch severly damages the reputation of the Life Day Spa group.

Guys listennnn…from the moment we got here it has been nothing but pure bliss Masindi hooked us up, the facilities are great, the aroma and ambiance was amazing, Janet gives the best massages ever, then we went to the salt room with Aurial, but before that we had drinks from Pinky and Nobe, after that, had the greatest pedicure experience with Thuli, and Amanda for giving proper directions afterwards, special shout out to these ladies ❤️for making it the best spa treatment ever and the excellent service, me and my sis had the time of our lives Wowwww‍♀️☕️✨

Great facilities, loved the complementary facilities : sauna, salt room, warm hydro pool, flavored water whenever Our therapists Loraine and Octavia were amazing! Great pressure and we really felt looked after, they understood the parts of the body needing attention. We had a Swedish and deep tissue massage married with an Indian head massage. Love the small details of the massage - hot bean bags for your back, hands, feet , essential oils for inhalation, colored lights to help with your energies. Will definitely go back!

  • Mattheus Nolan

My Fiance and I decided to spoil ourselves with a Signature Pedicure. Life Day was our choice of Spa as it was highly recommended from all the research we have done. Sheila and Jamie not only exceeded our expectations but their attention to detail surpassed as they went above and beyond to make sure that all our wants and needs came to realization. Thank you so much for the exquisite care, we will definitely return for all our future treatments.

  • Lushane Abrahams

Had a pretty amazing facial with Nono today. Mother's day is a crazy busy time for spa's! The welcome and even pretreatment call was done with a friendly professional demeanor. I arrived early and enjoyed a relaxing coffee before heading to my treatment. Nono was amazing - my skin was pampered and her recommendation of an algae mask was an excellent one. I left the spa very happy with my skin was luxuriously pampered! Thank you ladies.

  • Nando Moeketsi

It has been an absolute great experience, I am certain I will try it again. It was an awesome birthday treat! I have yet to try the floating tank, as well as the manicure and pedicure packages. From the warm and welcoming reception, to the preparation before your massage, through to the invitation to try out the other available facilities on the premises and relaxing right after a thoroughly good massage. It is mos def...worth it.

  • Khululwa Magazi

I ended up paying R3000 for something that was supposed to cost me R1500 because their communication skills are very poor and they are not professional. I am really livid with how everything turned out. First of all I had booked for 14h00 when I got a confirmation I was told that I am booked for 14h00 which is also unprofessional of them because now I had to move my stuff around. I wouldn’t recommend people to book there !

  • Jamie Chetty

Honestly this was the worst spa experience we had....the staff attitudes are the worst they are so unfriendly once you get passed the front desk...my husband actually asked his massage therapist to stop because she was so rough....they kept us asking wherever we were about what name the booking is under as if we weren’t allowed to be there and the coffee bar ladies are the most unhappy and rude.....will never come back

  • Thumeka Mxabo

I have been their customer since 2016, only for them to say I am lying when I say the 30 minutes treatment took 15 minutes, for them as the therapist went into to the room with you, your treatment time has started, from the time you closed the door. Help your self and have your timer setup for when the treatment started and take a photo just before it starts just to have proof that, it ACTUALLY started what time

  • King Linda Makhanya

What a disaster! Massage rooms cold, no electric blanker, hard face rest, no music inside the room, after a hot stones treatment then a cold treatment applied on my feet, massage pressure poor, shocking food that was ordered 2 hours and left there for me to consume after treatment, very noisy fountain, horrendous experience and was still charged full price after complaining. Absolutely shocking!

Was very excited to try the facilities and I made an online booking. I got no response for more than 2 days (4 days if I include the weekend). I then decided to call on the 5th day. The phone just kept on ringing until I got tired. Very disappointing. I resorted to calling the Sandton branch, I was assisted without any issues or delays. Looking forward to the experience from that branch.

A wonderful getaway - went here for my birthday and it was quite a treat. We opted for the executive retreat package, which included the salt bath soak, a deep tissue full body massage and a light lunch afterwards; enjoyed every bit of it. And to top it off, the manager was so gracious and thoughtful which added to the whole experience. Would go back again.

  • Renee Masigo

Definitely an oasis of relaxation! Auriel was an amazing and tentative hostess, the staff are friendly and facilities luxurious. My only let down was the food, way way waaaay too pricey for the average, tiny portions we received. I would definitely skip the lunch and get an extra treatment. Thanks Life Spa, I'll be back with a few more ladies!

  • Munangiwa Bridget Mafukidze

For the last 9 years I have been looking for the perfect spa from any part of the world that will give me the perfect relaxing space and a unique experience in every treatment that I cannot find anywhere else. Life Day Spa has successfully done that for me. I am excited to settle down here and make Life Day Spa my regular relaxing place

  • Khaya Mxesibe

Had a terrible experience,Thabiso lady really not nice ,decide to even change my options because I couldn’t let her continue touching me,I wanted her to just finish so I can leave ,worse of all she started gossiping to other ladies making nasty remarks ,the place looks beautiful and all but the service I didn’t enjoy

  • Busisiwe Maneta

It was my first time to the Spa and my experience was very horrible. I will never set my foot again. I complained to their head office and they promised to attend to the complaint. I have no choice but to take the complaint further. I felt very humiliated in that Spa. I will never ever go there even their branches

  • Angela Kavallieratos

Lovely and tranquil setting. They have a great little service bar where you can get tea and coffee etc with fresh fruit and biscuits. Was kept waiting a bit for a booked treatment, which is a bit irritating as they ask you to be there 15minutes before, but are kept waiting a further 10minutes.

  • Tiffany Freeman

I am sharing this 5 star rating because of the therapists that assisted both me and my partner yesterday. I am so absolutely blown away! For years I haven’t enjoyed the energy of spa therapists. I received the most incredible, healing and educational facial by Matshepo. Highly recommended!

  • Casey Rademaker

I went for 2x60 min Swedish massages. One was excellent which was done by a lady named Rifilwe(Would definately recommend her). Perfect pressure and relaxing. There was a lady next door (that's what it sounded like) doing a wax so that was a bit disruptive but besides that it was great!

  • Sall Vali

Staff are friendly and helpful. Facilities and the ambiance is great. A piece of tranquillity in the city. Unfortunately the masseuse wasn't great - she was friendly but the massage was quite disappointing. The warm pool, salt room and steam room made up for the disappointing massage.

  • Pearl Mahachi

My spa day was amazing! B, my masseuse did a great job! My appointment was in the evening, so it was much quieter. The staff are all very friendly. My only critique, is that they should give newcomers a tour, because we cannot guess and assume where everything is and where to go.

  • Kabelo Moropa

I had the most amazing appointment the staff by the receptionist were so friendly .Rato was my attending lady she was friendly made me feel so comfortable as it was my first time getting a full Brazilian wax. Absolutely love her will be coming back because of the great service.

  • Vittorio Leonardi

There is an extreme sense of happy calm about the place. From the cleaning staff, to the receptionists and the therapists, there is a sense of happy serenity. The facilities were impeccable and they don't skimp on the oils for the aromatherapy massage. I can't wait to go back.

  • Susi Koch

Top notch massages with lots of extra pampering (low lights, gentle music, warm heat pads, weighted eye masks, and even heated booties and mittens for feet and hands!). My teen daughter delights in the Flotation Pool experience. Book a massage now! You will love Life Day Spa.

  • Mike Little

Thank you so so much for making my fiancée's day perfect. She's been for many a massage and said that was the best EVER. Also, your coffee lounge waiting area was wonderfully relaxing for a bored boyfriend! All the best with future business, and hope to come again soon!

  • Hein Lingenfelder

I've been here twice for a massages, Rasul chamber floating and mud exfoliation. This is a beautiful spa with very friendly and professional staff. The pool area is great to relax around and enjoy the coffee and cheese board platter that comes with certain packages.

  • Qhinqa Thebe

Recently went to this place to book an appointment for some pampering. The lady at reception was beyond pleasant, and explained in detail what the different packages entailed. She even took me on a brief tour of the facilities. It was really a pleasant experience.

  • Inez Valla

This is a really very well maintained pristine spa. The food is wonderful. The staff are incredible and friendly. Very professional. The whole spa is so clean. My experience was so unbelievably amazing and I cannot wait to visit them again. 10/10 recommend!

  • Anthony Glen-Williamson

An amazing experience from the time we arrived we were given a warm welcome, and given access to the Spas complimentary services including drinks and access to the jacuzzi, and Himalayan salt room. Our pedicures were also great, the service was excellent.

  • Niel Wyma

Little oasis in the city. Amazing facility with friendly, professional staff and excellent management. Thoroughly enjoyed the hyperbaric chamber and float treatments, and the steam and rock salt facilities were top notch. Will be back again soon.

  • Mayur Kalian

Good Day , I have used Life Day Spa many times before, however today was such a horrible experience. I tried to make a booking and they were not accommodating at all and were absolutely unprofessional on the call with regards to availability.

  • Adam Burbaitzky

The facilities are great but what really makes this place special are the he incredible warm and friendly staff. I feel very at home when I come to the spa and am happy to support such a great facility. Thank you to everyone who works here.

  • Nthabiseng Padi

Took my mom there for her birthday and she had the most amazing time of her life... Everyone was friendly and and her treatments we on point. Thanks to all the therapists that did her package and everyone else that made her day special

  • Morgan-Fey Darnbrough

They literally never answer the phones and never respond to WhatsApps. I’ve been trying to cancel my appointment for an hour now. I’ve phone 6 times, nobody answers. They take 11 hours to respond to a WhatsApp. It’s just frustrating.

  • Nazmirah Mohideen

The staff is extremely rude. The tone in which they speak to customers is horrible I will not be returning to this spa ever. I have been to many spas as I live in Dubai but this was by far the worst experience I have had at a spa

  • P.P Mncube

BEAUTIFUL. from the gate, staff at the reception down to the changing room... For my first time I did not know what to expect. They treated me like a millionaire. Lol. Big up to Palisa, Agbar, Ivy and everyone else. …

  • Thabelo Masithi

I just had my spa date today and wow!! I am so impressed from reception to the bathroom, the service was amazing. I am definitely coming back often. Thank you momento & Amanda for being kind. Actually everyone lol …

  • Leentjie's Pelargonium

My Swedish massage with Lara was incredible. She is an intuitive therapist and excellent at massage. I've rated 4 stars because the showers were cold, and we were rushed as the bookings were back-to-back. This was somewhat

  • Shahista Thokan

Sadly service was so poor. Crowded spaces with no waiting area to sit. I visit other branches and was more value for money. I have had no follow up after messaging them regarding facial treatments. Disappointed at low stds.

  • Charuna Naidoo

June 2023 Review: I booked my mum and I for my birthday. The ladies that did our pedi's were cold and not engaging. The Manager on the day was also cold. And no one wished me. A disappointing birthday experience.

  • Kgothatso Matseme

Pleased with the service but Not happy with the way one of the ladies from reception treated us-abrasive and rude. She turned this experience into an unpleasant one. Wouldn’t visit life day spa Rosebank again.

  • Gadija Bagus

The flotation tank was the best... Quite an amazing experience. But I really expected more from the other facilities, considering the location and price. Not on the top ranks compared to other spas in JHB.

  • Mosa Seloane

I love it when a spa knows what it is doing and offers good treatments in a beautiful setting...and employs staff that is friendly and knowledgeable. I went in for a massage and the service was wonderful.

  • Buyisiwe Shongwe

Thought I’d only be there for an hour but ended up staying for 4! What a treat! Enjoyed my massage and the burger I had between sessions. Great place to go with a friend, but was equally good on my own.

  • sophia

My daughter and I went to the spa today and was very pleased with everything from the treatment to the facilities to the exceptionally friendly therapists and all staff. Will definitely visit again!

  • Litsa Amalia Roussos

What an awesome experience!! The best ambiance! relaxing sootheing .. very professional and knowledgeable therapists and I walked away feeling a million dollars and looking youthful and refreshed.

  • Michelle Jooste

Had the most amazing experience to end off a public holiday. The staff “Ivy” was simply amazing! You made me feel special, great attitude and top service! Will definitely be coming back !!

  • Anine Ehlers

Lovely ambiance, excellent facilities and skilled therapists. My only criticism is that the spa is quite small so when it is busy it has a crowded feel and that isn't good for relaxation.

  • Nandi Kameru

The service is excellent, the facilities are exceptional, and the massages were heavenly. I loved everything about this spa it was relaxing and peaceful! Looking forward to my next visit.

  • Emma and Alistair

Such a pity! My husband surprised me for my 30th birthday and we were kept waiting for our session for over an hour with very little explanation. We eventually left with little apology

  • Nathalie Anastasia

Had the exfoliation done. Brochure says half an hour but mine was 11 minutes !!!! Horrified. Was a quick rub done and ushered off !! Not impressed. Totally not what they advertise.

  • Haruhi Ramedies

Very clean, staff is very friendly and they make sure that it's all to your satisfaction. Thank you for a great time at the spa. I will definitely be back as soon as possible ♡

  • Larumo Storm

Wonderful experience and the therapists are amazing! The only thing this spa is lacking is a nice garden space where you can chill but otherwise the facilities are top notch

  • prudence mphambani

It was soo wonderful. I had time of mylife especially with the foating session, it's one experience one needs to go through then you will understand the greatness of water.

  • Candi

What an incredible treat. I was welcomed so warmly and all the staff were so helpful and kind throughout the day. Best hot stone massage ever, and great facilities.

  • Juanita Martinaglia

Beautiful spa, friendly staff and professional service! The best part is being able to use the spa facilities with a booked treatment. Will be visiting again soon!

  • The Royal Corner SA

Totally enjoyed my massage, started snoring very early into my massage which is always a good sign The double room is amazing, loved the warm blankets …

  • Pavel Matthews

Excellenet service, tranquil and relaxing considering one is in the throngs of the busy city! Pity that that there isn't enough outdoor space for relaxation

  • Khomotjo Ramokgopa

I really enjoyed my day at the spa. It was so relaxing. It was a very good way to de-stress.the spa is very beautiful and it smells wonderful too.

  • Welma

We made an impromptu booking and they went out of their way to make it happen. The service was excellent! Beautiful setting! Highly recommended!

  • valla pillay

Medieval outlook reasonable security, safe feeling. Pleasant & helpful staff. Average tidy facilities. More light would complement facilities.

  • Xoliswa Makalima

I love this spa, they are absolutely my favourite spa in Gauteng. Their staff is well trained, I had an awesome maternity massage experience.

  • Melissa Weber

Wonderful experience overall. You forget that you're in the middle of a busy area when you're inside. Great facilities and excellent service.

  • Chantenique Roberts

I don't have treatments done here unfortunately, but their products are exceptional, ladies are super friendly, good vibe and OPI stocked.

Will only go here in future....from the hot stone massage to the steam room and heated pool..free coffee and tea....salt room...amazing

  • Fids C

Very clean, neat and brightly lit. Would have given a 5, but lunch took forever to arrive. Staff also need to smile a little bit more.

  • Neo Tutu

My recent visit to Life Day Spa was really lovely. Professional and friendly therapists, and one of the best pedicures I can recall.
